Discuss Joshua 19

My LORD is faithful to HIS promises. HE is righteous in HIS judgements.

We therefore must go forward and plant the seed and praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST for the harvest.

GOD to shine HIS face on all who worships the LORD in truth and in spirit. The LORD to bless us all gloriously.

Prayers for State of Pennsylvania Joshua 19

Hi Gek. Joshua 19:2-6 gives us the answer. If you count the cities in the first group given to the tribe of Simeon (v1), it will appear to be fourteen cities in vv 2-6. But verse 6 tells us that in this group there were only thirteen cities. Therefore, Sheba cannot be included within the group but is actually a shortened word for Beersheba. So one could refer to that city as Beersheba or Sheba. Then KJV is correct to state, 'or Sheba'. And the villages mentioned there are separate from this count of thirteen.
