    Hello, Ruth Robinson,

    Haggai 1:1,

Interestingly the Bible many times records things not with years & dates. It's actually genius because rulers have changed calendars multiple times, even the Hebrew "Jewish" calendar, but when records say as Haggai 1:1 "in the second year of king Darius' historical documents will still be reliable & relatable. Please see: Daniel 5:31, Daniel 11:1, Daniel 6, Ezra 4:5,24, Please note the significance of the 2nd year of Darius. The work on the house of GOD stopped until "the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia" Ezra 5:5,6,7, Ezra 6:1,12,13,14,15, here in Ezra 6:14, it even references Haggai, & Zechariah, Zechariah 1, again "the second year of Darius"

Part 2= the Word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet= GOD spoke to Haggai. A prophet = Numbers 12:6, Deuteronomy 18:15,18, Jeremiah 28:9,

Part 3: after GOD spoke to Haggai; Haggai then spoke the 'word' to Zerubbabel & Joshua.

The Bible many times will direct a prophet to specific people like Nathan to King David: 2Samuel 12:1,

Part 4: Many times the Bible will clarify by lineage who someone is because names are common. So "Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest" is clearly not mistaken for Joshua from the Book of Joshua. Also positions are clarified for I believe the same reason. Also see Nehemiah 12:22,

5th part, then it reads._.._"saying" It's now going to specify what GOD spoke, in the verses to follow._._

    I hope these are helpful

The discussion of the rapture and its timing has been preached since about 373AD. Ephraem the Syrian was a great Christian saint. He was a Deacon and a Bishop. He wrote extensively in the early Church. He wrote a book on the "Antichrist and the End of the World" in 373 AD; in which he clearly states that the Lord will descend from Heaven and will take us to be with Himself so that we might escape the confusion that overtakes the whole world. This is a clear Pre-Tribulation Rapture statement made fifteen centuries before most people thought it was ever discussed. The idea that the rapture is a new idea or concept in the church is not true.

Our real discussion should be to be faithful, and pray for the saints to be obedient unto the Lord and make disciples as Matthew 28: 18-20 tells to us to do. Let us also pray for our President Biden to call on the Lord Christ Jesus for wisdom and courage in the midst of our nations woes - COVID 19, inflation, economy, the southern border, food shortages, crime, etc. Pray also for the leaders of other countries to be saved in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior.

    1 Timothy 2: 1-4

    1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

    3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

The Lord bless and keep all who are on this forum; and that His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you and yours.

Hananiah prophesized correctly on the broken yoke for Judah and their return which Jeremy confirmed was true. But then Hananiah lied same for rest of the nations which was not true and he died for that. So Hananiah 1/2 a prophet?

This was my understanding of this chapter's reading.

    1 Samuel 15:23

For rebellion IS AS the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness IS AS iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

    Jeremiah 28:16

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught REBELLION against the LORD.

    Jeremiah ch 28 v 9

The prophet which prophesieth of peace , WHEN THE WORD OF THE PROPHET SHALL COME TO PASS , then shall the prophet be known , that the LORD hath truly sent him .

    Deuteronomy Ch 18 v 21,22

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD , of the thing follow not , nor come to pass , that is the thing that the LORD hath not spoken ....

Matthew 24 v 11 And many false prophets shall rise , and shall deceive many .

This is before the Antichrist comes on the scene . So we have had them for a while now .

The pretrib Rapture and all the doctrine associated with it are false as can be .

They have been passing the torch from one prophet to another since about mid 1800s

Saying the Lord will come in a secret Rapture possibly this day ! Some even setting dates , yes I remember seeing billboards not long ago . Mr Camping or something like that .

So you Rapture people believe it could be immediately any time now is that right .

Jesus gave signs to look for as the disciples asked them , but you ignore them .

I just have one question ? How many times can you be wrong ?

Let's just do the last 10 years .

    That's 3650 times wrong !

Yes Jesus is coming again but you certainly have not a clue , I can guarantee it's not going to happen in 2020 .

    Rapture Doctrine debunked again .

"..The LORD hath not sent thee; but you make this people to trust in a lie. Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will cast you from off the face of the earth: this year you shalt die, because you have taught rebellion against the LORD." HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO ACCURATELY UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH? GOD HAS COMMANDED US TO SEEK HIM IN HIS WORD WITH ALL OUR HEART AND MIND. SONS OF THE DEVIL CONTRADICT!

In verse 10 Jeremiah showed wisdom and took his leave when Hananiah became violent. When we encounter ones who become violent or enraged, we can calmly take our leave because there is no need to fight.
