Continuation of discussion on the last generation

In case my last posting didn't come up with my capital letters; I am basically offering an alternative to what appears to be a misunderstanding of the beginning date of the last generation since most people born in 1948 are dying off and even if a generation is 70 years it is too late now for 2028 to be the return of Christ since we are already into 2023. It seems no one is discussing this but surely we expect this will cause many to fall away.

In all due respect certainly there are immportant events that occured in 1948; and surely that would fulfill a "nation being born in a day." Some have argued; of course that secular Israel with pagan nations developing the framework; etc. may not really be something of God at all and I will leave out the disparaging comments about the Jews that some have had less than favorable opinions on in regard to conspiracy theories. There have been some who have claimed with the days of punishment turned into years May 14, 1948 can be calculated from prophecies in Ezekiel. Whether or not that is the case again; we have to look at where we are. It also has been argued that this generation can mean "race" in other words Jews will still exist. That doesn't seem to be a viable argument here either. What we have to look at in my opinion is what other possibilities exist as to what the start date could be.

My proposition is this: We may be getting close to the beginning of the final generation. And my theory is that the Psalm 83 war as indicated by the nations in the text may be just that trigger. When we look at Ezekiel 38; for instance we don't see the Palestinians and other surrounding annoyances that Israel is struggling with at present. We also see verses such as Isaiah 26:15 which says the same thing twice about enlarging the nation; and it mentions the borders being enlarged. Israel basically is back to it's original 1967 borders as of now; but soon may expand.

    Psalm 74

We see the theme here as in much of the Book of Lamentations where God appears to have cast His presence from His people. When we get to chapter 3; verse 31 He promises not to "cast them off forever." Isaiah 26:20 describes God Himself stating that He had turned away for a short time but would return with mercy. Again; the final prophetic application would appear to be in Revelation (or the time of Jacob's trouble in Jeremiah 30:7).

The "perpetual desolations" in verse 3 of this Psalm remind us of the "Abomination of Desolation" when the Temple is overtaken by Antichrist much as it was with Antiochus Epiphanes earlier in Daniel 9:25-27 and quoted by Christ starting in Matthew 24:15.

Verse 8 is as far as I know the only passage in scriptures mentioning the word synagogues; here they were being burned up by the enemy; likely prophetic of the Babylonians and of course the end times. Blasphemy as seen in Revelation 13 is mentioned in verse 18. The prophets being seen no more could refer ahead to the intertestamental times or again when there is vision sought in the end times by false prophets who predicted peace; peace when there is no peace ( Jeremiah 6:14).

Verse 20 implores God to "have respect unto the Covenant" as related; no doubt to the Promised Land. Once again the poor and needy are sought out as those who the Lord will restore; and the Psalm ends with a plea not to forget those enemies and their "tumult". Surely God will come soon; but will there be any faith on the earth when that Day comes? (See Luke 18:8).

    Brother Adam:

Neither a church nor a pastor teaches me, I don't read literature written by man, I don't watch television, I get up every morning and anywhere between 12 and 18 hours EVERY day I study the word of God, I have been doing this now for 10 years.

I know who teaches me, he is my LIFE, in him is ALL TRUTH, I do constantly pray to the Father for wisdom and understanding, but he want give it to you if you don't believe HIS WORDS.

It's a KINGDOM, here on earth, ONE KING and all creation his subject, and Christ will bring all to truth at HIS GOOD PLEASURE, not necessarily in the age we are now in, he is going to raise the unbelievers back into their flesh and JUDGE THEM.

Isaiah 26:9 ....when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the earth WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS ....

Salvation is not man's doing IT'S GOD'S DOING.

I know you don't believe this, and this is fine, GOD'S WILL BE DONE.

    God Bless YOU!

We are reminded here in the first few verses of several verses; first the one in Hebrews 7:25-26 of the Spirit "ever interceding" for us. I am also thinking of James 1:5 of seeking wisdom; and verses such as Isaiah 26:9 and many others on seeking God at all times.

Verse 4 and 5 are also similar to Psalm 119:105 on God being a "lamp unto our feet."

Verses 6 through 14 could once again involve Christ prophetically or David himself as to enemies being justly recompensed. Verse 13 has a brief impreccatory word for "casting down" the wicked. We can look at Psalm 103:16 and no doubt many others on wealth being left to others of the wicked. (see also Jeremiah 5:28; Psalm 22:21).

The last verse about awaking and beholding His face in righteousness as well as having His likeness no doubt has allusions to the Resurrection and our eternal glorified state.

It may be well here with these repeated themes to consider how we should have as David did a "perfect hatred" for the wicked. ( Psalm 139:22). Such can only be with one filled with the Holy Spirit (as our own wickedness would make us judge others in the flesh with an unrighteous standard and also would condemn ourselves with such hypocricy). It is for jealousy of the God of Israel alone and His exalted state as the only Creator and Sovereign Lord that should lead us to a disdain of the world; the flesh and the Devil. It should also compel us to be preachers of righteousness for His Name's sake; knowing that God is a God of wrath as well as mercy; but that it is in this lifetime that we must be Born Again.

Zechariah 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day (the day of the Lord: CHRIST IN YOU) on the mount of Olives, which is before (NEW) Jerusalem (Christ in you, the city made of LIVING stones), and the mount of Olives (which is the new Jerusalem) shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west (symbolic); and there shall be a very great valley (symbolic),and half of the mountain (symbolic) shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

This Mountain (symbolic of the people that make up this mountain); half represents the mount of Jacob and half the mount of Esau.

Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a FIRE (our God is a consuming FIRE: YOU WILL BE: the image of Christ) and the house of Joseph a Flame ( Luke 16:24), and the house of Esau for stubble; and they SHALL KINDLE IN THEM (as Christ did in you), and devour them, and there shall not be remaining any of the house of ESAU ( Zechariah 14:21); for the Lord hath spoken it.

Obadiah 1:21 And saviours (Christ and those called to be HIS IMAGE) shall come upon mount Zion to JUDGE the mount of Esau; and the kingdom SHALL BE the LORD'S.

The called out; I AM the resurrection, will judge the whole world, the mount of Esau, after the resurrection of the dead.

Isaiah 26:9 ...for when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

A few of Scriptures for you Yanan:

Proverbs 4:20-23, "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Isaiah 40:29-31, "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Only in the LORD God can we find our strength, our healing, our hope, our joy, and our peace. God will "keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3.

John 18 and 19 The predestined plan of God-crucifixion and atonement

Rather than detailing each event in separate chapters; I am making some general points here.

It doesn't seem fitting to do a forensic analysis of the details of the horrors of crucifixion in studying this subject; but instead doing a broad based approach to the events which played out in the time when Christ voluntarily laid down His life. ( John 10:18).

In regard to Judas Iscariot; of course he was the predestined son of perdition prophesied in Psalm 41:9. There were curses to be on his descendants as well. As to Pilate; the discourse went down in chapter 18 where Christ plainly told him that all who are of the truth hear His voice ( John 18:37). His response "what is truth" in the next verse clearly shows he remained in darkness; albeit his sin wasn't to be as great as the others who brought Him to Pilate.

We also; of course see how Christ's statement to Peter came to pass. We can sort of call prophecy predestination in a way; unless it is based on conditional factors. Jesus knew Peter couldn't stand in his own strength; but was already preparing him for when he had a change of heart. Several prophecies are in chapter 19 along with the one in the other gospels where He asks why God foresook Him taken from Psalm 22.

This most important event in human history allows us to be with Him in heaven eternally.

That is the central message that should be in our minds as to the certainty that God's plan and will are accomplished. This calls for praise and a humble and contrite spirit as Psalm 51 indicates. Psalm 110:3 shows "we shall be made willing in the day of thy power..." and seems to reflect sentiments as Job 19:25 and Isaiah 26:19 on the Resurrection

Furthermore, the earth will no longer conceal its dead ( Isaiah 26:21). The souls of those countless millions of aborted babies; all those who have died of the O.T. and New Testament saints will finally live life to the fullest. I see the Temple as being a reminder on earth in the 1000 year reign of Christ as to what He did; and we should remember that the food will be part of the bountiful harvest of grain and fish at that time as well ( Ezekiel 47:8-9 which BTW already is starting to develop with fresh water inflow where fish have been seen in recent years). There will be ceremonial cleanness needed because those who are still in mortal bodies having children at that time will not be able to stand in God's presence at that time; or around those of us who will be ruling and reigning at that time. It is clear that there is a Millenium because of verses such as Isaiah 65:20 and Zech. 14:18 where rebellion brings swift retribution and or early death. Justice will finally cover the earth as the waters of the sea ( Isaiah 11:9). This is exciting news!

Yes; I agree the Mercy Seat needs to be remembered; as to His mercy on our souls. We also stand in a dispensation when we are blessed if we don't see Him with certain promises and giftings and rewards which are unique and better in some ways than they will be when people CAN see Him. Still; to be able to finally have fellowship on this earth and then in eternity without all these "momentary afflictions" ( 2 Cor. 4:17) will be really great. Either Paul had something SERIOUSLY wrong with him; or glory is beyond belief. We can look at this knowing we will not have to face hell or the judgments about to hit the earth. The Tribulation must come first. Even for us (at least for me) this future hope is still the only thing that gets me through the thick darkness already strangling much of this world. Better a doorkeeper in His house ( Psalm 84:10) than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

    Hello Gary,

    I concur with Jesse.

The Scriptures say that God is everlasting and eternal, without beginning nor being created and will never cease to exist. Life and existence belong wholly to Him. They do not exist outside of God, meaning He did not acquire them from anything outside of Himself. He always has possessed these.

    Genesis 21:33 (Eternal)

    Isaiah 63:16 (Everlasting)

    Isaiah 26:4 (Rock eternal)

Jeremiah 10:10 (the living God, the Eternal King)

    Romans 16:26 (Eternal God)

1Tim 1:17 (unto the King eternal immortal)

    Hebrews 9:14 (eternal Spirit)

1John 5:20 (He is the true God and Eternal life)

Ps. 93>2 (You are from all eternity)

    Deuteronomy 33:27 (Eternal)

1 Chronicles 16:36 (the God of Irael, from everlasting to everlasting)

Nehemiah 9:5 (who is from everlasting to everlasting)

Isaiah 9:6 (Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace)

Habakkuk 1:12, (O lord, are You not rom everlasting?)

Part of God's will is that ONLY a FEW will receive their inheritance in the first resurrection.

Dear "Jamie", See here it is not taken out.

    Psalms 83:18

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

    Isaiah 12:2

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

    Exodus 6:3

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

    Isaiah 26:4

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

In this context, it is a strong word. In KJV you have what is right. Some creeds have their own printing presses and can therefore make / raise / shorten as they wish. This will be confusing for those who read it.

My experience is KJV is the best. Sometimes i hear readings from other publishers and the words are unfortunately mixed so that even if i read in my KJV there is total confusion. My advice to you is to read a translation that you drop and stumble upon the words / settings and the like. Only KJV :)

Hope the answer can help you. For the Bible is meant to have a word that is understandable. Jehovah is also used by the Witnesses. I have no prior knowledge there. But maybe someone else has? Know that they do not believe in the trinity between God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Stay safe in Jesus name, love u in Christ. John 7:10_24

    There are TWO resurrections.

Those God GAVE to HIS Son Jesus, The CALLED and CHOSEN, were resurrected with Christ.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and Holy is he that hath PART in the first resurrection ....

Luke 20:34 Neither can they DIE ANYMORE: for they are equal unto the angels, and are the children of God, being the CHILDREN OF THE RESURRECTION.

Those not Called and not Chosen, will die and lay in the grave, along with those that have die from the beginning.

At the second resurrection EVERYONE in the graves will be resurrected back to their earthly flesh; AND JUDGED.

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them (those at the second resurrection) the JUDGEMENT WRITTEN, this HONOUR hath all his SAINTS (those in the first resurrection).

Isaiah 26:9 .....when thy JUDGEMENTS are in the earth (second resurrection) the inhabitants of the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Psalms 149:9 To execute on them the JUDGEMENT WRITTEN, this honour hath all his saints.

We will either be the JUDGES bringing the world to righteousness, or we will be the JUDGED, learning righteousness.

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is IN HEAVEN.

Colossians 1:27 ....this MYSTERY .....CHRIST IN YOU ......

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a NEW HEAVEN (Christ in YOU) and a NEW EARTH (where RIGHTEOUSNESS will DWELL), for the former HAD PASSED AWAY.

These scriptures teach there is neither heaven or hell, as taught by the traditions of man.

There is flesh and blood: A BODY

There is ONE SPIRIT: IMMORTAL LIFE

Flesh and blood, the body, dies and returns to dust,

    Spirit, life, CANNOT die.

Hell is a doctrine of man: If a body of flesh and blood was placed in literal fire, it would be consumed in a few minutes, there would be not eternal torment. No need for a second resurrection.

If SPIRIT (there is only ONE SPIRIT and that SPIRIT IS GOD)( Ephesians 4:4-6) was placed in literal fire, it would not be affected.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

Lazarus and the rich man is a PARABLE.

Lazarus went to the bosom of Abraham, symbolic of the BORN AGAIN, being ONE with God.

The rich man went to the GRAVE, a gulf that CANNOT be passed over UNTIL the second resurrection of the DEAD back to their flesh, to be judged and brought to TRUTH.

There are TWO RESURRECTION, one has already occurred, Christ and those that were ORDAINED to have their part in that FIRST RESURRECTION.

Luke 20:36 Neither can they (those CHOSEN to have their part in the first resurrection) DIE ANY MORE: for they (the CHOSEN) are equal into the ANGELS; and are the children of God, being the children of the (FIRST) resurrection.

In 2 Kings 20 and Isaiah 26:6 Hezekiah was granted 15 extra years because of his plea AFTER the prophet declared that he was about to die. Ecclesiastes 3:2 states that there is a time to be born and a time to die. As with anything else; there are predetermined times and seasons which the Lord has established. Scripture clearly demonstrates that through prayer and mediation; which ultimately involves Christ and His mercy, that judgment can be forestalled for entire nations. Moses had to react quickly to intervene plagues as well as David in scripture (in his case due to his own mistake in the instance of taking the census to determine his own strength which involved a pride issue rather than trust in God alone). Ultimately; in fact Christ intercedes for all of us who were under the wrath of God lost in sins. All His sheep will live on this earth until they are found; as salvation only can occur while we are yet alive. God knows also all the things men will do to shorten their lives; whether it is by sins damaging to the flesh; or things which incur curses of God such as false worship. He knows when someone like Cain will murder his brother. Same goes for natural disasters and any other premature cause of death. In fact; scientifically there is still not full undestanding what causes death. There is certainly something to someone like Moses who was still in his full strength until death; although the one mistake of striking the rock in anger did not allow him to enter the Promised Land; and quite possibly live longer than he did.

Those who are spiritually dead are that way whether still alive in the flesh or not. All the temporary benefits of this life in the flesh; of course are then over for the lost; and they face judgment and condemnation. Praise the Lord that we can bypass that 2nd death! May we not be as some Corinthians who perished prematurely not taking communion with the right mindset.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature (creation) ITSELF also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption (the grave) into the glorious liberty of the children of God (when they are judged).

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them (those that died in unbelief) the judgement written, this HONOUR hath all his saints (those that believed).

Isaiah 26:9 ....an when thy judgements (of the saints) are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world SHALL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things have been SUBDUED to him ...... GOD WILL BE ALL IN ALL.

    God Bless YOU!

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE SAINTS JUDGE THE WORLD?

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world?

1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we (the saints) shall judge angles?

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them (the world) the judgement written: This honour hath all his saints ......

Revelation 2:26 And he (the saint) that overcometh and keepeth MY WORKS unto the end, to him (the saint) will I give power over the nations.

Revelation 2:27 And he (the saint) shall rule them (the world) with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers; even as I received of my Father.

Psalms 2:8 Ask of me (the Father) and I (the Father) shall give thee (Christ) the heathen (the world) for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the world for thy (Christ) possession.

Psalms 2:9 Thou shall break them with a rod of iron; thou shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel.

Psalms 2:10 Be wise therefore, O ye kings (the saints): be ye instructed, ye JUDGES (the saints) of the earth.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I WILL MAKE THEM (the world), which are of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are JEWS ( they say they are born again of the word of God) and are not; but do lie, Behold I WILL MAKE THEM to come and worship before thy feet, and TO KNOW that I have loved you.

1 Corinthians 4:21 What will ye? Shall I come to you with a ROD, or in love with the spirit of meekness?

Isaiah 26:9 .....when thy judgements (of the saints) are in the earth, the inhabitants or the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS ......

    God bless you!

    Roman, you are right:

1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Most problem is they think man has to be saved in this age of grace, when scripture teaches most will be saved in the age of judgement.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth (in the grave) for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:21 For the creature itself SHALL BE DELIVERED into the glorious liberty of the CHILDREN OF GOD.

This happens when Christ has gathered his elect in this age of grace and returns, in the age of judgement, to judge the world.

Isaiah 26:9 ....when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Ben: Does Christ blood COVER only SOME or does it COVER ALL.

Psalms 22:27 And all the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

There are going to remember when they are resurrected back to their flesh and judged by Christ and his ELECT.

Isaiah 26:9 ....for when thy judgements are in the earth; the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Christ judgements are not yet in the earth:

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature (creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of GOD.

Romans 8:21 For the creature (creation) ITSELF also SHALL BE DELIVERED into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth MY WORKS until the end, to him will I give power over the nation:

Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessel of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS SHALL BE SUBDUED UNTO HIM (at judgement), then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that GOD (SPIRIT, LIFE, TRUTH) may be ALL IN ALL.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we believe in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN (even those saved at judgement), especially those that believe (during the age of grace).

GBU as we come to the TRUTH of God's words.
