    to continue......

    Jesue said Matt 5:20

the expression of the Scrip implies obedience,, for Matt 7:21 to enter His works that's been prepared for us from the foundation of the world. Ephesians 2:10 which is these works of righteousness of Titus 3:5 that comes to us by His mercy towards us.

What are His works, the first is 'repentance" God Spirit work upon one soul, convincing one of their sins, which springs from the spirit of unbelief, that comes from the devil, his influnece upon one's heart, & keeps one in his kingdom of disobedience & all who plead for sin & are convince we're not to be delivered from it in this life is of the devil, are deluded, deceived & believe a lie,

2 Thessalonians 2:11 their faith is a life & why? Because they did not choose to become lovers of the Truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:10,11

I could go on with this vein of Truth that's Scriptural sound, with sound reasoning. His Spirit Witness in your own hearts witnesses to the Truth that's being reveal. the question is will you receive Him?

Friends, for the love of your eternal souls, & for the love of Christ soften your heart by Jeremiah 4:3 thorns, the corruptible seed of the devil & Hosea 10:12 the free gift, the Word of Righteousness, the incorruptible Seed of Rom 5:17 & receive Him

    in love & truth

It is raining today again. Some people get down dur to rain and gray skies. For me, I try to remember God's promise with Noah and his covenant rainbow. Also,, I recall Hosea 10:12 where it says, "Sow for yourself in righteousness; reap inn mercy. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord 'til He comes and rains righteousness upon you."

I feel the rain on my head and know that Christ's righteousness is raining down on me, since He came!

Having read this chapter and the comments I see so much to be hopeful in the text. Abraham and Sarah knew that God had given them a specific time for Sarah to conceive. They were hopeful for God to fulfill his promise, and He did. They were hopeful throughout the pregnancy that the babe would be born safely, and he was. Sarah mentioned that those who hear of her son's birth will laugh with her. There was much joy in Abraham's camp! Abraham circumcised Isaac on the 8th day as God had commanded.

The next part speaks of a celebration of Isaac's weaning from breastfeeding. He was probably between 2 and 5 years old at this time since it was common for children to be breastfed this long in those times and even in many cultures today. This ensured that the child always had an instant supply of nutrition in environments that can be harsh.

Ismael was a teen ager at this time. We are not told how he mocked Isaac, perhaps provoking or teasing Isaac in an unkind way. With the age difference, Ishmael should have known better. This upset Sarah enough to want Ishmael and Hagar sent away into the wilderness, not wanting Ishmael to receive any of Isaac's promised inheritance. So maybe he was taunting Isaac about about being born first and of his father's favor. Abraham loved Ishmael and the thought of sending him away was a difficult decision to make. God intervened and told Abraham to go against his heart feelings and do as Sarah had said. He provided Hagar and Ishmael with some sustenance and sent them out into the wilderness.

3 PLAGUES IN THE BIBLE FROM ASIA/CHINA: (you will need Bible Maps)

    Hosea 10:12

    Revelation 16:12

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the EAST.

    Revelation 9:16-18

The number of mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number. And this is how I saw the horses in my vision and those who rode them: they wore breastplates the color of fire and of sapphire and of sulfur (national colors of China) and the heads of the horses were like lions' heads, and fire and smoke and sulfur came out of their mouths. By these THREE PLAGUES, A THIRD OF MANKIND IS KILLED by the fire and smoke and sulfur coming out of their mouths.

    Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

    Isaiah 49:12

Behold, these shall come from AFAR, and behold, these from the north and from the west, and these from the land of Syene."

China gave us Swine FLU. SARS virus, Corona virus. I got a feeling that corona virus isn't done killing yet.

Google "Past Pandemic LIST". (That has World death totals)

I don't think we need to act like this is just like past FLU episodes. We get a flu shot and feel protected for another year. Corona virus doesn't act like past flu's.

I didn't know there were any scriptures of China in the Bible. I looked it up as a lark.

  • S Spencer On the importance of the understanding of the true vine on Psalms 1 - 3 years ago
JOHN 15:1 Jesus says I am the "true" vine. When we think of a vine here's what we must consider; The vine sharing a common life source with the branches, The dependency of the branches on that vine, and the fact that the branches bare fruit, that's why they're there. Here is a few other verses using the idiom the vine. Psalms 80:8-9. "Israel called a vine brought out of Egypt". Isaiah 5:1-7. Jeremiah 2:21, "Israel called a degenerate vine". Hosea 10:1, "an empty vine". I believe this meant to contrast Israel mission as the vine, "HOWEVER there mission is not over" but i want to put our focus on the True vine and the difference between the two. Here is what's important and should'nt be overlooked, Israel was able to show the world then and now the Law which was holy even when executed could never change the heart of man. That's what the study of Hebrews is about. Especially Hebrews 10:16, the Lord says; I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS. This is where the ministry of Holy spirit comes in. without him we can do nothing, you are the branches, examine your fruit. it should be wrapped in Love, not outwardly first but inwardly then expressed outwardly. That's how the Lord is forming his church to shine light on a dark world, including our nation. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 2 Tim.2:4. and this is the spirit that should reside in you now. it want be born in you later as some say. THANK YOU
  • Part Two SIGNS OF THE TIMES on Hosea 10:12 - 3 years ago
    Matthew 16:3

And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

    Daniel 7:25

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:

    Luke 21:25

    And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Sorry for doing this twice. This site wiped out half of it. Have no idea where it went. It was a reply to the question about weathermen.

Weather prediction is not witchcraft. People have been forcasting since Jesus time on earth and he didn't say anything about that.

He did ask them why they are not able to recognize the signs of the times? Why were they seemingly uninformed about prophesies that were being fulfilled. Much like we are today. Life happens so fast that we barely have time for anything.

In the Daniel scripture it mentions daylight savings time. Most people don't like it; but it's good for sports games, etc. However animals & plants live by daylight hours.

Recently in the news it was said ALL the worlds calendars should be changed to ONE.

That last scripture covers forcasting on weather events: like hurricanes, tremors, dust storms, wet seasons, dry seasons, solar storms:

Also Space related events. There's a scripture on a star (asteroid?) Wormwood. There's been a warning by NASA of one traveling towards earth now. All this can be googled.

Our President has formed a new committee to address that issue. A protective Space Program. I hope it gets voted on in the House. Praise God.

Let's be more attentive to ALL the signs of the times. Amen.

  • Obbie Beal on Hosea 10 - 4 years ago
In the case above and in 2020, JEHOVAH /GOD is the JUDGE, JURY, and EXECUTIONER. In 2020 we are a repeat of the above through our evil-fruits produced globally by cities /nations. As above we are reaping what we sowed. Nevertheless, individually each of us through JESUS the SON OF GOD can secure our personal ETERNAL SALVATION. See John 3:16-21.

  • William Weathers on Hosea 10 - 5 years ago
Prior to God's raining righteousness upon us, we must seek the LORD; prior to our seeking Him effectively, we must repent of our sin. If we would participate in the very nature of God's, which is righteousness, we must seek to repent and separate ourselves from our pet sins and personally precious idols.

For me the lesson here is God will always be ready to take us back into His care even though He chastiseth who He Loves . Applied to daily living we should lean not to our own understanding, but first aknowledge Him and He will direct our path.

Another very good example of the law of sowing and reaping.
  • Biodun Williams on Proverbs 2 - 11 years ago
This second chapter of the book of Proverbs, is like others, depending upon what they contains. It invites whoever dares to believe, towards the God type of humility, where the eye gates, the ear gates and the mouth gate are used in such ways that their usages becomes pleasing to God ( Genesis 15:6; Hosea 10:12). In actual fact, it confirms that there are no other ways into getting in the things of holy righteousness except through godly obedience ( 1 Timothy 3:16).- and then such a person cannot but learn and conduct Himself in accordance with the Word of God. In other words how to walk in love, becomes known and imparted, in such a way that he conducts himself humbly, committed and, yet in agreement with the dictates of godliness. The reason being that, as far as the truths of Gods Word are concerned, there are assured blessings on the other side of obedience. God, will never default on His Word- hence it is wise and worthwhile to take Him at His Word. This reveals and signifies that, God, in His faithfulness, desires to bless and impart whoever loves and believes Him through Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and has the necessary knowledge and wisdom that pertains to the task He has for them. God is the giver of whatever good things that man is after on this planet that are in consonant with divinity. That refers to such things that pertains to life and godliness- thus the importance of hearkening to His Word ( 2 Peter 1:3-7). God is a shield and buckler to those that love and honor Him, Psalm 3:3; Psalm 18:2; Psalm 119:14; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Corinthians 1:20), and His promises, are yea and Amen. Blessed be the name of the LORD forever!
