This verse shows much like Matthew 24:36 that some things apparently are still appropriated by the Father; at least in regard to the timing of events in the future and the day and hour they begin. Admittedly; this is a mystery as Christ is fully God and fully man but we can learn the Godhead and how the Son does nothing apart from the Father here at the very least ( John 5:19). Indeed that verse says the Son can do NOTHING of Himself; which could have been particularly true during His earthly ministry.
Nonetheless we see that death could not overcome Him ( Acts 2:24). God exalted Him as High Priest and King and gave Him all authority in heaven and earth positionally ( Matt. 28:18); restoring the position which He no doubt had since He was the One who created all things ( Colossians 1:16).
verse 3 states Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. It reminds us of the verse in Revelation 22:12 where He states that He comes quickly; and the delay of the church age can be seen in the verse Habakkuk 2:3 where it says although it tarries wait for it and the original language shows that it will surely come in its time and not delay. There is a crown; in fact for those who patiently wait for it; we are warned against losing our crown in Revelation 3:10. See also 2 Timothy 4:8 and Malachi 3:16.
The subsequent chapters show what happens when one casts aside their first love (with the Ephesian church); and other churches as to false doctrines. Since only God knows when the Rapture and subsequent Tribulation begins; any attempt for Satan to bring it forth sooner will fail so many will not believe it when it truly comes.

I actually agree with much of what you are saying in this comment. But we must always keep in mind God's statement regarding the condition of ALL of Mankind, apart from Salvation, in Romans 3, Psalm 14, Psalm 53, Psalm 58 and many other parts of the Bible.
When I read your comments here and elsewhere regarding the nature and purpose of the OT Ceremonial Sacrifices, you seem to conclude that these Ceremonial Laws were given as some kind of "interim means of acceptance" by which God could overlook the sins of those who would diligently observe these Ceremonial Laws up until the Cross.
The Bible clearly teaches, particularly in the Book of Hebrews, that the Ceremonial Laws were given as a picture, a SIGN, that their sins brought them under condemnation and the Wrath of God. And that God Himself must purge their sins by the Sacrifice of Himself in enduring the Wrath of God on their behalf. Which Sacrifice, God very clearly says was EFFECTUAL "FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD", Rev 13:8, Heb 4:3. And that there was NO EFFECACY whatsoever in the Ceremonial Laws from the perspective of Salvation. So the Salvation of anyone in the OT was by God's Mercy and Grace Alone; and not in any way through the keeping of the Ceremonial Laws, or of any Law of God. Just like the Salvation of anyone during the NT times.
God did NOT write the Bible in a way that it can be understood like any other book. He wrote it in a way that we can only come to Truth as we compare scripture with scripture, allowing the Bible Alone to be its own Interpreter and our only Authority. When we do this we find a consistency and cohesiveness regarding God's Salvation Plan for Mankind throughout the history of the world and we find harmony throughout the Entire Bible teaching us about the Nature of Salvation.
The following are the fundamental rules of Bible interpretation that the God lays down:

When God uses the term "Israel" or "Judah" or "Jerusalem" He can be talking about the corporate body(National Israel or the New Testament Church) or ALL True Believers (the Elect of God). When talking about Salvation and the Gospel it is usually the latter; this is the case in Jeremiah as in many other parts of the Bible.
Furthermore, God is revealing truth in our Day that was hidden until we are near the end. Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
God did not write the Bible in a way that it can be read like any other book to understand truth. We must use the principles that God establishes in the Bible to interpret Scripture. And then it is only God Himself that opens our spiritual understanding as we compare Scripture with Scripture applying those principles.

We must always remember that any truth we may have come to is not because we are smarter or wiser than any one else. It is God Himself that must reveal truth to us from His Word, if indeed He has. And He will do that in accordance with His good pleasure on His time table, not ours.
I will say that I did not come to my beliefs regarding the nature of God's Judgment and Salvation Programs and my current understanding of end time events and what God declares about the churches and congregations of our day, solely by my own personal study while isolated somewhere in an ivory tower. But I have been blessed by faithful Bible teachers that have diligently searched the scriptures faithfully applying the principles of Bible interpretation that God has given us in the Bible itself. Some of that teaching can be found today in the ministry of SearchingHisWord and Alameda Bible Fellowship as I referenced previously.
We must also recognize that there are certain truths that could not be understood even by True Believers until we approach the time of the end as we read in Daniel 12:4

Today; a brother from my church discussed what He said was a time the Lord told him not to fear; and today it seems like confirmation as I was admonishing him in much the same way. Specifically; it was related to the nearness of His coming as well as several things related to what appears to be the imminent demise of our country as judgment draws nigh.
The Lord has held back the day of the Lord with His great patience to this point but it will come suddenly ( Habakkuk 2:3 and many other N.T. verses). Jesus also states that people will be buying; selling; giving in marriage etc. much like the time of Noah when He returns ( Luke 17:27 also referring to the days of Lot.)
I remembered how 40 years ago many were talking about giving up everything and standing on a mountain as they were convinced Christ would arrive by 1988. Clearly that didn't happen. We also discussed the timing of when the last generation actually begins; the Antichrist and other issues. What I would say characterizes both of us is a hunger and thirst to preach on the end times which for me is something I feel I have put on a shelf for most of my adulthood since the early 80's.
These days spiritual warfare is harder than ever; again something which we seemed to have gone through. We cannot afford to leave any sin unforgiven; as the enemy is ready to pounce on us with any weak links in the chain; and also the fear of death needs to be overcome through trusting Christ. That can't; of course be done without total surrender to Christ and having good fellowship is a key especially as we see the Day of the Lord coming ( Heb. 10:25).
I would venture to say that there are very few left who are living out a totally surrendured life to Christ as charactarized by the Laodicean church. We should test ourselves to see if we are in the faith now ( 2 Cor. 13:5); if anything to flee the Tribulation as well as assure that we are saved from hell.

....And Isaiah 11:9...( says that KNOWLEGE shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas...Thats y he wants to KNOW US...Remember that tree of KNOWLEGE in the Garden of God...And Habakkuk 2:14...Knowledge shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas and the Earth shall be full of the GLORY OF THE LORD....(THE KINGDOM)....This knowledge is an intimacy that is gona result in a birth of Christ in everyone...Thats y Jeremiah saw ALL men in travail and birth pains... But THE BIBLE ALONE AND IN ITS ENTIRETY must be our ultimate authority as we compare scripture with scripture praying that God in His mercy would open our our understanding and lead us into Truth.

In Habakkuk 2:4, the subject is the "just" person, the one who is righteous & lives carefully before God; as opposed to the one described in that verse & following verses (here, the Babylonians are intended): one who is haughty, given to drink, uses unethical practises, & with an unsatiable appetite. So in Habakkuk, and looking up the Hebrew for that verse, it seems that the righteous one will live his life with stedfastness & faithfulness, unlike the proud & haughty who is self-centered, lusting for more wealth, power & kingdoms (as were the Babylonians).
Then in Galatians 3:11, I believe the focus is on the Faith that is acceptable by God which is not law-dependent. When the Law was given to Israel, they had to obey it to the letter, coupled with various sacrifices offered to cover them whenever they failed - and fail they did. But when Jesus came, the Law that only led to the Jew's condemnation & death, was cast aside, simply because the Sacrifice of Jesus was God's Sacrifice & Gift to us and not man's sacrifice to God for pardon. The shed Blood of Jesus that required the sinner to accept & believe (i.e. coming to God in faith), could never be mixed in with the Law that had no saving power & could never give life ( Galatians 3:21,22).
Therefore, when the Apostle Paul in Galatians 3:11 quotes from Habakkuk 2:4, I feel that he is highlighting the main point of that verse - that of the righteous living by the faith that is in him, and not specifically about the origin of that faith, even as he referred to Abraham's faith (that was apart from the Law).
At Gal. 3:11 It is written that the just shall live by faith.
At Habakkuk 2:4. It is written that the just shall live by his faith?
Should the scriptures say: (live by faith). or should it say: (live by his faith)?
I trust that you understand what it is that I'm asking; so if you have an answer, please inform me as to what the true meaning of these Scriptures are?

If you were on drugs and then were saved, ask repent and ask Jesus to come into your heart. If fell back into drugs and sin after you were saved, repent and ask Jesus to forgive you. These spirits you are talking about are demons. They try to pull us all down by telling us we are too sinful for Jesus to forgive us. That is a lie. Verse one states:
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
This verse shows much like Matthew 24:36 that some things apparently are still appropriated by the Father; at least in regard to the timing of events in the future and the day and hour they begin. Admittedly; this is a mystery as Christ is fully God and fully man but we can learn the Godhead and how the Son does nothing apart from the Father here at the very least ( John 5:19). Indeed that verse says the Son can do NOTHING of Himself; which could have been particularly true during His earthly ministry.
Nonetheless we see that death could not overcome Him ( Acts 2:24). God exalted Him as High Priest and King and gave Him all authority in heaven and earth positionally ( Matt. 28:18); restoring the position which He no doubt had since He was the One who created all things ( Colossians 1:16).
verse 3 states Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. It reminds us of the verse in Revelation 22:12 where He states that He comes quickly; and the delay of the church age can be seen in the verse Habakkuk 2:3 where it says although it tarries wait for it and the original language shows that it will surely come in its time and not delay. There is a crown; in fact for those who patiently wait for it; we are warned against losing our crown in Revelation 3:10. See also 2 Timothy 4:8 and Malachi 3:16.
The subsequent chapters show what happens when one casts aside their first love (with the Ephesian church); and other churches as to false doctrines. Since only God knows when the Rapture and subsequent Tribulation begins; any attempt for Satan to bring it forth sooner will fail so many will not believe it when it truly comes.

I actually agree with much of what you are saying in this comment. But we must always keep in mind God's statement regarding the condition of ALL of Mankind, apart from Salvation, in Romans 3, Psalm 14, Psalm 53, Psalm 58 and many other parts of the Bible.
When I read your comments here and elsewhere regarding the nature and purpose of the OT Ceremonial Sacrifices, you seem to conclude that these Ceremonial Laws were given as some kind of "interim means of acceptance" by which God could overlook the sins of those who would diligently observe these Ceremonial Laws up until the Cross.
The Bible clearly teaches, particularly in the Book of Hebrews, that the Ceremonial Laws were given as a picture, a SIGN, that their sins brought them under condemnation and the Wrath of God. And that God Himself must purge their sins by the Sacrifice of Himself in enduring the Wrath of God on their behalf. Which Sacrifice, God very clearly says was EFFECTUAL "FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD", Rev 13:8, Heb 4:3. And that there was NO EFFECACY whatsoever in the Ceremonial Laws from the perspective of Salvation. So the Salvation of anyone in the OT was by God's Mercy and Grace Alone; and not in any way through the keeping of the Ceremonial Laws, or of any Law of God. Just like the Salvation of anyone during the NT times.
God did NOT write the Bible in a way that it can be understood like any other book. He wrote it in a way that we can only come to Truth as we compare scripture with scripture, allowing the Bible Alone to be its own Interpreter and our only Authority. When we do this we find a consistency and cohesiveness regarding God's Salvation Plan for Mankind throughout the history of the world and we find harmony throughout the Entire Bible teaching us about the Nature of Salvation.

The historical-grammatical method of interpretation is not found in the Bible. It seeks to discover the writer's intended meaning, customs of the times, and the writer's intended audience and thus fails to recognize that God is the author and that the whole Bible is written for us today.
Mark 4:10-12 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
When God uses the term "Israel" or "Judah" or "Jerusalem" He can be talking about the corporate body(National Israel or the New Testament Church) or ALL True Believers (the Elect of God). When talking about Salvation and the Gospel it is usually the latter; this is the case in Jeremiah as in many other parts of the Bible.
Furthermore, God is revealing truth in our Day that was hidden until we are near the end. Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
God did not write the Bible in a way that it can be read like any other book to understand truth. We must use the principles that God establishes in the Bible to interpret Scripture. And then it is only God Himself that opens our spiritual understanding as we compare Scripture with Scripture applying those principles.

We must always remember that any truth we may have come to is not because we are smarter or wiser than any one else. It is God Himself that must reveal truth to us from His Word, if indeed He has. And He will do that in accordance with His good pleasure on His time table, not ours.
I will say that I did not come to my beliefs regarding the nature of God's Judgment and Salvation Programs and my current understanding of end time events and what God declares about the churches and congregations of our day, solely by my own personal study while isolated somewhere in an ivory tower. But I have been blessed by faithful Bible teachers that have diligently searched the scriptures faithfully applying the principles of Bible interpretation that God has given us in the Bible itself. Some of that teaching can be found today in the ministry of SearchingHisWord and Alameda Bible Fellowship as I referenced previously.
We must also recognize that there are certain truths that could not be understood even by True Believers until we approach the time of the end as we read in Daniel 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

So if there was ever a time when we should be "searching the scriptures to see if these things be so", it is now.

Today; a brother from my church discussed what He said was a time the Lord told him not to fear; and today it seems like confirmation as I was admonishing him in much the same way. Specifically; it was related to the nearness of His coming as well as several things related to what appears to be the imminent demise of our country as judgment draws nigh.
The Lord has held back the day of the Lord with His great patience to this point but it will come suddenly ( Habakkuk 2:3 and many other N.T. verses). Jesus also states that people will be buying; selling; giving in marriage etc. much like the time of Noah when He returns ( Luke 17:27 also referring to the days of Lot.)
I remembered how 40 years ago many were talking about giving up everything and standing on a mountain as they were convinced Christ would arrive by 1988. Clearly that didn't happen. We also discussed the timing of when the last generation actually begins; the Antichrist and other issues. What I would say characterizes both of us is a hunger and thirst to preach on the end times which for me is something I feel I have put on a shelf for most of my adulthood since the early 80's.
These days spiritual warfare is harder than ever; again something which we seemed to have gone through. We cannot afford to leave any sin unforgiven; as the enemy is ready to pounce on us with any weak links in the chain; and also the fear of death needs to be overcome through trusting Christ. That can't; of course be done without total surrender to Christ and having good fellowship is a key especially as we see the Day of the Lord coming ( Heb. 10:25).
I would venture to say that there are very few left who are living out a totally surrendured life to Christ as charactarized by the Laodicean church. We should test ourselves to see if we are in the faith now ( 2 Cor. 13:5); if anything to flee the Tribulation as well as assure that we are saved from hell.
.....But Rev.11:15 is very clear....The Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our lord and his Christ and he shall REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER...No offence Gi Gi But you do greatly err...And God sends an angel to preach the everlasting gospel to all that dwell on the earth... Rev 14:6...Do you see the folly of your doctrine...of no kingdom on this earth...And Jesus sends his disciples to preach the gospel to ALL THE WORLD TO every creature....And sends the manchild the H.G. that Child of Promise to rule ALL NATIONS...Why wd God do all these things if there were no kingdom on this beautiful earth....Beautiful for situation simply b/c its gonna be situated in our hearts where the KINGDOM SEED IS SOWN
....And Isaiah 11:9...( says that KNOWLEGE shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas...Thats y he wants to KNOW US...Remember that tree of KNOWLEGE in the Garden of God...And Habakkuk 2:14...Knowledge shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas and the Earth shall be full of the GLORY OF THE LORD....(THE KINGDOM)....This knowledge is an intimacy that is gona result in a birth of Christ in everyone...Thats y Jeremiah saw ALL men in travail and birth pains... Jeremiah 30:6...We are gonna birth a baby Christ which is the H.G...That Child of Promise...If i be lifted up i will draw ALL men unto me...Jesus plainly tells us the Kingdom of God will come as a man who sows seed in his field....And he said the field is our hearts the world....But we must remember that this is the bridegroom speaking...Thats y he has to know us in order to sow that heavenly seed in our hearts....Which is a baby Christ...Unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil CHILD you will in no wise enter there in...The man child.

Moreover, as we approach the end of the world, and the coming of the bridegroom, God is unsealing truths that have been kept sealed until the time of the end ( Daniel 12:9-10). This is spoken of in the Bible as a vision that will speak at the end and not lie ( Habakkuk 2:2-3).
God did not write the Bible so that it is easy to come to truth. Faithful Bible teachers that apply these principles can guide us in our understanding.
But THE BIBLE ALONE AND IN ITS ENTIRETY must be our ultimate authority as we compare scripture with scripture praying that God in His mercy would open our our understanding and lead us into Truth.
You mention "Hermeneutics". That is that key. The churches pretty much without exception and throughout the Bew Testament period have used the historical-grammatical method of interpreting scripture.

Then in Galatians 3:11, I believe the focus is on the Faith that is acceptable by God which is not law-dependent. When the Law was given to Israel, they had to obey it to the letter, coupled with various sacrifices offered to cover them whenever they failed - and fail they did. But when Jesus came, the Law that only led to the Jew's condemnation & death, was cast aside, simply because the Sacrifice of Jesus was God's Sacrifice & Gift to us and not man's sacrifice to God for pardon. The shed Blood of Jesus that required the sinner to accept & believe (i.e. coming to God in faith), could never be mixed in with the Law that had no saving power & could never give life ( Galatians 3:21,22).
Therefore, when the Apostle Paul in Galatians 3:11 quotes from Habakkuk 2:4, I feel that he is highlighting the main point of that verse - that of the righteous living by the faith that is in him, and not specifically about the origin of that faith, even as he referred to Abraham's faith (that was apart from the Law).
At Habakkuk 2:4. It is written that the just shall live by his faith?
Should the scriptures say: (live by faith). or should it say: (live by his faith)?
I trust that you understand what it is that I'm asking; so if you have an answer, please inform me as to what the true meaning of these Scriptures are?

You need to read Matthew 24, Luke 21, and be watching for evidence of those signs. Jesus said it will be like birth pains. Gradual labor, transition and then birth. A lot of people agree we're in labor and approaching transition now.
The world is so plugged into social media, like tik tok and silly stuff, not reading the Bible.They will not know that time is speeding up. It's kind of like an old fashioned hourglass. At the end, the last sand grains just fall out real fast. Plop! It's time to get our loved ones into the present day ARK. That is, Jesus. But we are charged by Jesus to go ye into everyone's world and tell them to get inside NOW. Grade schools through College, kids are being taught things outright sinful! We need to pray with those little kids and tell the Truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, The Life. They're all watching TikTok too
A guy wrote a book way back about THE TERMINAL GENERATION. I think we're there. Our government is tying us up with massive problems, even starving newborn babies for milk. Overnight they are taking our money and writing trillion dollar checks on a zero balance!

The angle of the Lord is a ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) the angle of the Lord is GOD, therefore that ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) is planting his SEED (inpregenating) man with TRUTH AND LIFE; creating man in the IMAGE OF GOD.
YES, ANGLES (MEN, that has left this body of flesh, and BECOME ministering spirits being BORN AGAIN (FATHER by the HOLY GHOST) and ONE WITH CHRIST are inpregenating creation with the SEED OF GOD.

absolute equity will be enforced; and open sin will be visited with instant judgement; whereas the enormous majority of earth's inhabitants will be saved Psalms 2:9; Isaiah 11:4,6-9; 26:9; 65:20; Zacharia 14:16-21

Lastly, if you desire to walk closer to God, it's like Adam in the Garden. Spend time with the Lord through His Word, the Bible. Pray every day. Just speak your heart.
Warning: If a voice causes fear in you; that is not Gods voice. Fear, is the enemy.
The King James is a Version of The Bible translated from the God-Preserved and
Reliable "Textus Receptus" manuscripts carefully used and faithfully copied by God's elect for Many Centuries.
All other "versions" are translated from the non-God UNpreserved [corrupt?] manuscripts found either buried for Many Centuries, or some found uselessly Discarded in trash bins, but then "translated Many Years Later" than the KJV, and "claiming" they are more reliable and easier to read and understand, confusing Many today with over 100 "versions to choose from."
For these reasons I read and study KJV only.
