    John 5:17 - My JESUS said: My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

    GOD sent JESUS in the turn from the fourth Day to the fifth Day, i.e. around 4000 years after Adam, and around 1500 years after Moses. As JESUS said, GOD the Father still was working, in fact until the end of the recent last millennium, the sixth millennium.

    Based in the Word of God,on GOD's six Days of creation and one Day of rest(a total of seven days)plus the Scriptures that teach that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years,so MANKIND would go through six GOD Days of 1,000 years each(a total of 6000 years)plus a Millennium of 1000 years rest(now a total of 7,000 years)

    Biblical Chronology - Genesis 5:

    Adam lived ..........................130 yrs-begat Seth

    Seth lived ............................105 yrs-begat Enosh;

    Enosh lived ............................90 yrs-begat Kenan;

    Kenan lived.............................70 yrs-begat Mahalalel;

    Mahalalel lived ........................65 yrs-begat Jared;

    Jared lived ............................162 yrs-begat Enoch;

    Enoch lived .............................65 yrs-begat Methuselah;

    Methuselah lived......................187 yrs-begat Lamech;

    Lamech lived...........................182 yrs-begat Noah;

    From Noahs birth until the Flood.......600 yrs.

    Total years from Adam to the Flood=1656 years

    SIX PERIODS OF BIBLICAL TIMES ---------------------- DURATION

    I- From Adam to the Flood-(Gen.5)----------------------1656 years

    II- From the Flood to Abraham-( Gen. 11&12)-------------427 years

    III- From Abraham to Exodus-(Gal.3:17)------------------430 years

    How to explain difference of exactly 240 years in the Jewish calendar?

    Based in the Word of GOD,on GOD's six Days of creation and one Day of rest(a total of seven days)plus the Scriptures that teach that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years,so MANKIND would go through six GOD Days of 1,000 years each(a total of 6,000 years) plus a Millennium of 1,000 years rest(now a total of 7,000 years).

    According biblical Chronology, starting by Genesis 5:

    Adam lived .......................130 yrs and begat Seth

    Seth lived --------------------105 yrsand begatEnosh;

    Enosh lived ........................90yrsand begatKenan;

    Kenanlived..........................70yrsand begatMahalalel;

    Mahalalellived .....................65yrsand begatJared;

    Jaredlived ..........................162yrs and begatEnoch;

    Enochlived ...........................65yrsand begatMethuselah;

    Methuselahlived......................187yrsand begatLamech;

    Lamechlived............................182yrsand begatNoah;

    FromNoahs birthuntilthe Flood.....600 yrs.

    Total years fromAdam tothe Flood=1656 yrs

    Notice that the table above is proved by the Word of GOD,Let us study the times until our days by the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD. See the timetable below:

    SIX PERIODS OF BIBLICAL TIMES ----------------- DURATION

    I - From Adam to the Flood-( Genesis 5)-------------1656 years

    II - From the Flood to Abraham-( Genesis 11&12)----427yrs

    III - From Abraham to Exodus-(Gal.3:17)-------------430 yrs

    IV-From Exodus to king Saul-(1Reis6:1(480-84)-----396 yrs

    V -From Saul to the fall of Jerusalem -----------------508 yrs

    VI -From the fall of Jerusalem to Jesus ---------------587 yrs

    Thus,from Adam to the 1stcoming of Jesus ---------4004yrs

    From Jesus to our days(Christian Calendar)----------2023yrs

    Total from Adam to our days --------------------------6027yrs

    So,we are living in the beginning of the seventh and last millennium, or the turn from the sixth to the seventh and last Day.

    I also believe ALL God's words are TRUE; but not all words are literally true, the TRUTH of the scripture is hidden within, and the answer ls found in other scriptures.

    Meditate on Genesis 5:2

    Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name ADAM, in the day they were created.

    God bless you

    Chris (Hopefully this will post as it is a correction to a comment deleted from the Mod Queue)

    Any understanding of the Salvation of OT Believers must take into account these verses.

    Matthew 17:1-3 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold THERE APPEARED UNTO THEM MOSES AND ELIAS TALKING WITH HIM.

    Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; FOR GOD TOOK HIM.

    2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and ELIJAH WENT UP BY A WHIRLWIND INTO HEAVEN.

    These things could happen because the EFFICACY of Christ's Atonement, the payment for their sins, existed from the FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, i.e. from CREATION. As we read in Rev 13:8 that Christ was THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

    Additionally we read in Hebrews 4:1-3 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. FOR UNTO US WAS THE GOSPEL PREACHED, AS WELL AS UNTO THEM {OT Israel}: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: ALTHOUGH THE WORKS { Rev 13:8} WERE FINISHED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

    And this is the reason that OT Believers could be and were BORN AGAIN just like NT Believers. And when they died physically they went to be with Christ in Heaven in their soul existence, exactly like NT Believers. And they did not go into the never never land of someplace called Hades for centuries.

    One Gospel; One Salvation; One application of Salvation; One Destination upon physical death. For OT and NT Believers ALIKE.

    Hi Charlie Slaves

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

    Your message is very interesting,it caught a lot of my attention where you said that"a graveyard of times created".Lord JESUS said the Father has put the time in His own power- Acts 1:7.When Lord said "all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John"-around 1.500 years- this period was to the "graveyeard",so was reset a different period called New Testament,which is also about to the"graveyeard"very soon.But there was before these two periods,a period of time from Adam until Noah around 1.656 years,and from Noah until Moses-Exodus-that lasted around 857 years.Before Adam there was an Eternity in the garden of Eden,all the above commented periods were, one by one, to the "graveyeard",except the current period which is just now to the "graveyeard" too.

    Well, and now? Luke 20:35-36 combined with Rev.20:1-4 -a period of 1000 years,after this will finish into the"graveyeard".

    GOD's six Days of creation and one Day of rest(total of 7 days) Scriptures teachs that one Day is with the Lord as a 1000 years (2Pet.3:v.8),so MANKIND would go through six GOD Days of 1,000 years each(total of 6,000 years)plus a Millennium of 1,000 years rest (now 7,000 years).

    According to the biblical Chronology, starting by Genesis 5:

    Adam lived .................................130 yrs and begat Seth

    Seth lived ..........105 yrs " begatEnosh;

    Enosh lived ....................................90yrs" begatKenan;

    Kenanlived....................................70yrs" begatMahalalel;

    Mahalalellived ...............................65yrs" begatJared;

    Jaredlived ...................................162yrs " begatEnoch;

    Enochlived ....................................65yrs" begatMethuselah;

    Methuselahlived............................187yrs" begatLamech;

    Lamechlived.................................182yrs" begatNoah;

    FromNoahs birthuntilthe Flood.....600 yrs.

    FromAdam tothe Flood =.............1656 yrs.

    Hello

    Gailee Question: does the Bible say that there is Woman Angels?

    You are MountHoreb replying to a comment by "Gailee":

    Angels are Spirits ( John 4:24) in Heaven Jesus explains at Matthew 22:29,30.

    if you read about a women in heaven like Revelation 12:1,2 This is symbolic or illustrating the point revelation 1:1.

    However, Angels can materialize into a human. or turn themselves into human flesh. we have an

    example of the bad Angels who forsook their assigned positions in heaven to have sex with the beautiful woman

    on earth. they "took wives" for themselves. according to Genesis 6 these angels are called "Sons of God" because they were created in heaven. Although Angels are either male nor female. descending to earth, angels have this ability. again these are angels who went evil or bad. who went against Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) like Satan the serpent! Matthew 4:1-11; Ephesians

    A few examples of Good Angels who had a earthly assignment: Genesis 18 and 19 Chapters.

    "Three Men" are materialized good angels. in verse 19 the angels in Sodom struck the mob of boys and old men

    who wanted to have sex or lie down with them. so which means these mob of males saw these angels as Males.

    There is no scripture that shows that that angels ever materialized into females. for the simple fact that Adam was created first as the Male. Eve was a helper to him, created so he will not be alone. Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2:18; Genesis 5:1,2; Ephesians 5:23; 1 Timothy 2:13,14. However, women on earth are valuable to God also: Acts 2:17

    so the overall point here is, No there is no woman in heaven, nor men, nor children. for they are

    all angels in heaven as JESUS SAID.

    I HOPE These scriptures help. Thanks.

    Good insight. I know God's Word says Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image (not our Image or this image but his one and only Image the Lord Jesus Christ) in the image of God created HE(God the Creator= Jesus) him ( man ). Male and female created he them. (There is Adam) how I know?= Genesis 5:1-2 says so. Now was He the first Adam or the second Adam? I go back to Genesis 1:26:- God Said let us make Man in our Image after our likeness etc etc. Firstly. God doesn't have to let himself make anything. Also was man made or created? And we both know God could never have a likeness. That's Lucifer's big biiiiig biiiiiiiiiiiiig rebellion. No created being can be like God. For God is God alone. And he doesn't have an ( our ) image period.jesus is the only image and he is the only one who can create man in HIS own image. So who is Adam. Was he first? Or second. And who is Us? The Trinity many say? How? When does God have to let himself do anything. He lets us choose all sorts of inventions . Maybe he did let us. And that's the problem. He let us. So JESUS has to come and create us in his own Image. The Lord Jesus Christ. Had to come rescue us from us. Adam was the son of God. Unless my interpretation or reading of scripture is mistaken. Luke 3:23-38- was supposedly -the genealogy of Jesus backwards. Verse 38--Which was the Son of Enos,which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam,which was the son of God. Maybe JESUS died for Adam and Adam is all of US. And if there were never a falling there would never have been any JESUS to create us in his own Image. God's wisdom is absolutely astonishing to me. If you have any additional words im open. If you can refure any of this I spoke with scripture I more than welcome it. For I desire a prophet to judge what I say. Thank you. Thank you for replying. God bless you

    Chubby1,

    Are you referring to Genesis 5:2?
  • Donna Stephens - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Jerman:

    In the first part of Genesis the creation is a prophecy of the new heaven and new earth in Revelation.

    Adam was put in a deep sleep; the word uses sleep as death, so Adam DIED and God took a rib; a bone, from Adam and made a WOMAN, the same woman in Revelation 12, we became the flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone.

    Genesis 5:2 Male and female created (by the resurrection and NEW CREATION) he them; and blessed them, and called their NAME ADAM (we are baptised in his name), in the day they were created.

    The resurrection made all things NEW; the new heaven and the new earth, ONE BODY arose, ONE SPIRIT gave that BODY LIFE we are all that NEW BODY and LIVE by that ONE SPIRIT.

    John 17:21 That they (the NEW creation) may be ONE; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they (the NEW creation) may be ONE, as we are ONE.

    All this was done before the foundations of the world.

    You can't put a time line; God is eternal, no beginning and no end, the WORD always was; you ALWAYS were, you just had no KNOWLEDGE, of your being ONE with the WORD, OUR time in the flesh is to bring us to TRUTH, we are ONE with our GOD.

    He is the LIGHT; the SUN, were are the MOON, that reflects that LIGHT.

    Look at Genesis with the mind of Christ; remember GOD'S WORD, seeing they SEE NOT.

    You can't use eyes of flesh.

    God bless you.

    Hello, Julius

    Genesis 5:4 says that Adam (with Eve) begat other sons and daughters besides Cain, Abel, and Seth. So, Cain must have married one of his younger sisters.
  • Jimbob - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Winston4933 There were two Enochs born during that time period in Scripture. The first Enoch was the son of Cain in ( Genesis 4:17) The second Enoch was the son of Jared in ( Genesis 5:18) You can read of their family in those Chapters. Blessings.
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Hi JRR.

    In Genesis 5 you see Adam and Eve begat more sons and daughters, There also omitted.

    "And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:" Genesis 5:4.

    In Luke 3:23-38 there's a genealogy of Jesus from Heli (The father of Mary) on through Seth to Adam. Joseph's father is omitted.

    The focus of these genealogies is to present the line of Christ.

    THE VOLUME OF THESE 66 BOOKS IS WRITTEN OF CHRIST.

    In Matthew there's a genealogy of Jesus with the line going through Solomon on through David through Seth to Adam.

    In Luke 3 it goes through Nathan on through David, again through Seth to Adam.

    When these names are omitted are presented it's to present Jesus in a specific way and display a particular message.

    SECONDLY;

    The genealogy in Genesis 5 sets the stage for the next theme or story of the Bible. Noah.

    You see this repeated when Abraham is presented in Genesis 11:10-32.

    There's been many heresies presented around this over the years.

    Some presented the idea of there were offspring that wasn't of Adam.

    Even Satan is mentioned as being the father of Cain.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

    UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION

    Psalms 17:15 As for ME (Christ), I will behold thy (the Father and God of Christ) face: I (Christ) will be satisfied, when I (Christ) awake (am resurrected, by the Father's SPIRIT), with THY (the Father's) likeness.

    Romans 6:5 For if were be planted TOGETHER (you and Christ) in the likeness of his (Christ) DEATH; we shall also be the LIKENESS of HIS RESURRECTION.

    Genesis 5:1 In that DAY (the day of the LORD; ALL MEN died with Christ and all MEN were resurrected with Christ) that God created man ( BY the resurrection), in the LIKENESS of GOD created he them.

    Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth THY (the Father of ALL ( Ephesians 4:6) SPIRIT, THEY (all men) are CREATED; thou renewest the face of the earth.

    Ezekiel 1:5 And out if the MIDST thereof (Christ) there came forth four LIVING CREATIONS, And this was their appearance, they (the new creation) had the appearance of A MAN (Christ).

    Ezekiel 10:10 And as for the for their appearances (the LIVING CREATIONS), they four (the new creation) had ONE LIKENESS, as a WHEEL (Christ) in the MIDST of a WHEEL (Christ).

    Colossians 1:27 ..this MYSTERY (of his resurrection) ... CHRIST IN YOU ..

    Jane:

    The creation in the first chapters of Genesis is both an act at that time and a prophecy of a second creation at Christ resurrection.

    God MADE man from dust, breathed life into him and man became a living BODY, with a carnal mind.

    Romans 8:20 For the creature was MADE subject to vanity, NOT WILLINGLY .....

    When Christ was RESURRECTED, we became a NEW CREATION.

    In Adam the LIFE was in the BLOOD, that life can DIE by the spilling of the BLOOD.

    In Christ; LIFE is in the SPIRIT, it's IMMORTAL, spirit can't die.

    Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy SPIRIT, they are CREATED: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

    Christ is also called ADAM.

    1 Corinthians 15:45 ...The first man Adam was made a living BODY; the last (man) Adam was made a quicking SPIRIT.

    Genesis 5:2 Male and Female CREATED he them; and blessed them, and callled THEIR NAME ADAM (Christ), in the day they were CREATED (I am the resurrection; THE NEW CREATION, the exactness of Christ).

    We are BAPTISED in HIS NAME, the new creation.

    Jeremiah 7:11 In MY HOUSE, which is called by MY NAME ....

    Hebrews 3: Christ as a son over HIS OWN HOUSE, whose HOUSE WE ARE ....

    Ephesians .....ONE BODY ......ONE SPIRIT ......

    Ephesians 4:4 ..... ONE GOD .... Father of ALL ....above ALL .....through ALL ....and IN YOU ALL .....

    Part 3.

    Matthew 24:32-34.

    Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

    So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

    Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

    Israel represents the fig tree in scripture.

    Hosea 9:10.

    Jeremiah 24:2-3.

    Joel 1:7.

    This generation is a particular people of this time. (Israel)

    Generations is used in that way in scripture as a particular people or Genealogy as seen in Genesis 5:1 and other places.

    SO YOU KNOW IT IS NEAR WHEN YOU SEE ISRAEL START TO BLOSOM.

    THAT DIDNT HAPPEN IN 70 AD.

    Back to Daniel 9:24.

    Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

    Reconciliation. Jesus done that on the cross, but no one is reconciled until they believe. As a Nation Israel still rejects Christ and will continue until the tribulation. Hosea 5:15, Matthew 23:39.

    To finish the transgression. That refers to Israel. Zachariah 12:10 "The last days.

    to bring in everlasting righteousness.

    To anoint the most Holy. I also believe that's the Holy of holiness. but I believe that is in the Millennium temple that Ezekiel is talking about in the 41st through the 46 chapter.

    I will have to leave off here for now Ronald.

    God bless.

    Dc730banks;

    The Spirit of the Father raised Christ from the dead on a Friday the sixth day of the week, and Christ rested the seventh day, he had finished all the works of the Father. The women didn't come to the tomb until the first day of the week, because they also rested the seventh day, they found the tomb empty, he was already resurrected: according to scripture on Friday the sixth day, he died and was buried Wednesday BEFORE sundown; that is the first day and night in the grave, Thursday and night, 2 days and nights in the grave: Friday and night, 3 days in the grave, The Father raised him sometime after sundown on Friday.

    We share that rest, we were resurrected with Christ, we too cease from our works, the WORKS of Christ are COMPLETE and HIS WORDS BEING FULFILLED made us complete in our being raised with Christ, Christ is the RESURRECTION.

    Look at all the scriptures that prophesy this.

    Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he HIM (him not them), male and female created he THEM (they became one).

    Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them, and he called THEIR NAME ADAM ( the bride always takes the name of her husband), in the day they were created.

    Genesis 1:31 ...and the evening and morning were the sixth day.

    This creation wasn't possible until the RESURRECTION.

    The first man was made of the dust; and the blood was the LIFE, the second man was raised IMMORTAL and LIFE was CHRIST (the spirit of OUR FATHER).

    Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth they spirit: They are CREATED (Christ and man, RESURRECTED to a new creation): thou renewest the face of the earth.

    Acts 2:38 And be ye BAPTISED in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST ...

    The bride always takes THE NAME of her HUSBAND.

    Have you come to this TRUTH.

    God Bless YOU!

    Enoch walked with God and at some point ,God said it's quicker to go to my place than yours and "God took him "

    He was translated from this world to the world to come .

    It will be much the same at the second coming of the Lord . Where the Bride shall hear the voice " come up hither" and those who are alive will be changed " in a twinkling of an eye" "mortal shall put on immortality and corruption shall put on incorruption "

    The foolish and unready will be saved " as through fire " though the great tribulation and martyred .

    The unsaved will face a world totally corrupt with the antichrist with no restraint .

    From what I learned, the books of the Bible had to coincide with the other books printed.

    There are at least four 'different' men in the Bible named Enoch ( Genesis 4:17; 5:18; 25:4; 46:9). We should note that, in Genesis 25:4 and Genesis 46:9, the NIV gives the name "Hanok," while some other translations, such as the Darby translation, give the name "Enoch" instead. In both verses, the name "Hanok" is from the same Hebrew word translated "Enoch" in Genesis 4:17 and Genesis 5:18. Other translations say "Hanoch" or "Henoch." The only difference is one of English spelling.

    Hebrews 11:5 gives a little more detail: "By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: 'He could not be found, because God had taken him away.' For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God." This being "taken away" is what Enoch is most famous for. Only two people in the Bible are said to have been chosen by God to escape death, Enoch and Elijah. Enoch appears to have been given this privilege due to being a man who walked faithfully with God ( Genesis 5:24) and pleased God ( Hebrews 11:5).

    For what purpose was Enoch taken away? The Bible does not specifically say. The most common assumption is so that he could serve as one of the two witnesses, alongside Elijah, in the end times. Jude 14.

    Hi Brother Jesse.

    Here's the word generations in Hebrew pulled from Genesis 5:1.

    Hebrew:

    Transliteration: tledh tledh

    Pronunciation: {to-led-aw'} to-led-aw'

    Definition: From H3205; (plural only) {descent} that {is} family; (figuratively) history: - {birth} generations.

    And here it is in greek.

    Greek:

    Transliteration: genea

    Pronunciation: ghen-eh-ah'

    Definition: From (a presumed derivative of) G1085; a generation; by implication an age (the period or the persons): - age generation nation time.

    (The period of the persons.)

    I didn't see that!

    I always took it as the age of ALL those living at that time.

    But the time period for the Jews does fit the context of the Chapter.

    And it fits the view that the main focus of this period is on Israel.

    I am looking forward to meeting Enoch. He must have really stood out among the people of the pre-flood era. He walked with God. How lovely. Don't know why God took him so "young" in those days. It would seem that the people in his sphere could have used his influence for another 500-600 years until the flood came.

    But God had his reasons, and somewhere in the word it says that God does not fail to leave a witness. So, there must have been others, and in the last days, Noah, who gave witness to God like Enoch. But we just don't really know.

    I wish we did know more about the pre-flood times, but God chose to eliminate traces of this time, unless some artifacts are excavated by archeological teams from that time. Don't know if God wants us to know about that time. Perhaps the level of corruption was exceedingly greater than our world now and knowing about it would feed the sinful nature of those who learn of it.

    God took Him to heaven, translated him for one day he will do the same to the church in the last day he will take us as well those that walk with Jesus and do according to his will.

    Genesis 5:21

    21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch walked with God2 after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God, and he was not,3 for God took him.

    The Strongs Exhaustive Concordance, the book itself should have what you're looking for. It is included within this website, which is great! If you look into the scripture you would like broken down, [click the verse] that takes you to a separate page. The bottom of that page will have the word & small phrases broken down into a transliteral & translation by multiple resources.

    Hopefully that's helpful

    I have not figured out how to look into the resources as I would it's own book on this site, like individual word searches within the concordance but hopefully the use of the additional resources in connection to the scriptures your reading is sufficient to your studies. I have also noticed by clicking the translation you can scroll down into the comparisons, that have additional noted scriptures for reference of uses of same, similar & different meanings of similar or same translated word used.

    Hopefully this is also helpful

    Example: Genesis 5:2 'Adam' look into the word & scriptures sited if interested
