Thanks For those kind words Brother Chris.

I concur with you on Satan and his devices. He's described as a roaring lion. When a lion roar, he scatters his pray. Doctrinally we seems pretty scattered to me. Especially with so many denominations, partiality, and passiveness.

Most of the church damage has been done from the inside.

A site like this has its difficulties because you can't pull one to the side and talk out an issue. It's difficult to show meekness on pin and paper when applying

    Galatians 6:1.

We treat the church like a membership we leave at the church building until the following Sunday.

What good are we to Christ if our light only shines inside the walls of the church and closed doors. We are the salt of the world.!

All scripture should be considered all our life and everywhere we go!

If we were in the public and someone was to announce us as the church would you denounce it? No. We would atleast would say we're Church members!

But when we gather on a site such as this we leave off the teachings of Paul where he teaches structure in the Church. As well as several other virtuous scriptures from various writers.

Israel was set apart from the world and when they wondered in the wilderness they were still Israel. Likewise the church is still a church outside the church building.

And you are still a follower of Christ teachings when you are by yourself in the world as a witness.

If we denounce that we are not an ambassador of Christ.

God bless you Brother for all you do.

    Amen Phil.

Well Stated! I think you covered it all, there's not much to add to what you have said. Perhaps I can dig up a few scriptures that goes well with what you have stated.

I agree with that we can't judge the heart of man to be able to judge/condemn him. Romans 14:4.

Also Matthew 7:1-5 possibly is speaking of condemning as well.

Some of these would probably help being read in the Greek.

    FRUIT INSPECTORS.

There's several scriptures that say we should correct one in their error, here's one and the mindset we should have while doing it.

Galatians 6:1-5. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, YE WHICH ARE SPIRITUAL, RESTORE SUCH AN ONE IN THE SPIRIT OF MEEKNESS; CONSIDERING THYSELF, LEST THOU ALSO BE TEMPTED.

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

For every man shall bear his own burden.

In doing this I believe we should use the word of God. ( Hebrews 4:12-13)

This can be troublesome! How well this person takes this rebuke depends on their spiritual condition as well.

Paul says this kind of judgment is to be kept in house.

    1 Corinthians 6:1-6.

Today some judge from a carnal mind. "One look at him and we think we got him figured out."

Also culture gets in the way. We compromise TRUTH for politeness. This also can be difficult.

We compliment someone's dead works "Efforts to glorify self" and we ignore their fruitlessnes or incorrect doctrine.

NOTE: If there's incorrect doctrine they believe in, that would certainly affect their fruitfulness.

We are to build one another up with the truth not flattery.

We should handle God's word cautiously and be open for improvement.

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 1 Corinthians 5:6.

    God bless you.

Romans 8:1 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8: 2-14

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Read John verse 3:1-21

2 Timothy 2:15 is a powerful verse. If we do not learn how to rightly divide the word of truth, we will be lost understanding the chain of events from the time God brought the Hebrews from the Land of Egypt until The Christ Lord Jesus died on the cross up to our time today which is approximately 2,000 years. Honestly, we do not have time. As you all noticed the rapid days go by quickly as God says 2 Peter 3:8 and you see Psalms 2:1-12

I do not mind repeating to all that the Bible is a complete book Revelation 19:13 for us today to prepare ourselves and others. I pray all to be saved. We cannot have the people caught unaware of Matthew 24:37. To rightly divide is to know for us today what we need to do. So I will say that the 11 apostles messages are important for the physical Jews Matthew 10:5-7 at the end time; and there are verses in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John that pertains to a spiritual Christians of today.

God had chosen Paul to be His vessel so we can read and believe not in vain. Study the Book of Romans to Philemon because he was the Last and believe it or not the 12th Apostle Galatians 1:1, Acts 9:15, Acts 13:47, Acts 22:21, Roman's 11:13, Ephesians 3:8, 1 Timothy 2:7, Galatians 1:16. After Jesus died He says Hebrews 9:14-17. Then you are Ephesians 1:12-14, 2 Timothy 2:19 and 2 Corinthians 1:22. Therefore, 1 Corinthians 9:2 just like Romans 15:28. Ephesians 4:30 and sing Psalms 49:8, 111:9, 130:7. In conclusion my fellow-believers, Paul is sealed 1 Corinthians 9:2 by God to be our apostle today. Weneedtoputtheworkof Paul not in vain Galatians 6:11. Paul tells us Romans 2:16, Romans 16:25, 2 Timothy 2:8. And the gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Then we are sealed Ephesians 1:13. Perhaps you are not understanding me because Revelation 18:4, Proverbs 20:1, Roman's 7:11, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 1 Corinthians 15:33, Galatians 6:7, 1 Timothy 2:14, 2 Timothy 3:13, Titus 3:3, and lastly Revelation 18:23. Psalm 37:1-40 then we meditate Psalms 27:1-3. Shalom/Agape.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. -- Read John 3:1-21

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a (new) creature: old things are passed away; behold, (all) things are become new.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (3) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Matthew 25: They were all virgins but 5 were lost --read the chapter

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

( John 3:7 Jesus said ye must be born again)

We all can find a verse that tells us what we want to hear, there will be many lost after he says depart from me. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Hi James. Are you referring to Genesis 28:17, "And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven." This story is about Jacob who had a dream & the LORD had spoken to him. Therefore, upon his awakening he believed that the place he was at was at the threshold (or, gate) of Heaven.

There are references to other gates in Revelation 21:10-14 but these pertain to the New Jerusalem (not Heaven) prepared of God to be placed on the new Earth, an Earth where sin & its stain will no more be found. Were you thinking of another Scripture?
  • Blackfoot - In Reply on Galatians 6 - 1 year ago
It's a metaphor . In ancient times many people's all over the world lived in what we now call gated communities . They lived in towns that were surrounded by walls and had one or maybe two entrances through a gate that was often guarded . This was for safety , they would leave these towns to work the land etc and come home to them at the end of their working days . The Bible is full of metaphors , sometimes these metaphors are also meant literally , it can take a while to get to grips with these things but the more you read the more you will get it .

Absolutely! And I would take it one step further, We will wash one another's feet. "Humblely caring for one another in a way we be our brothers keeper as we walk through the filth of this world and pick up it's ways. We are to restore such a person as seen here in Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (This is the word of God - not an opinion)

Romans 6:15-23 (verse 18) Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (comment-What if you die suddenly while committing one of the above)

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. ( There is a difference in a fault and willful sin)

    Galatians 6:15,

Please see context: Deuteronomy 10:16, Deuteronomy 30:6, even in old testament men have argued their holiness, set apart status, (in the flesh) yet GOD said even then; it's about the heart. Jeremiah 4:4, Jeremiah 9:25, = Romans 2:29, Romans 3:30, Romans 4:11, 1Corinthians 7:18,

    Galatians 3:28,

They were still arguing circumcision, not equality in GOD. Acts 11:2, Galatians 2:12,

    New= 2Corinthians 5:17,

    Hopefully these are helpful

Galatians 6:9 states never to give up: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap a harvest, if we do not give up." Despite your age and the challenges you may face taking care of these little ones, God promises to give you a harvest for doing good. I understand these two children are not your biological children but God wants to entrust them to you. Pray for strength and God's intervention in this situation. Please don't forgo this blessing. Jim I invite you to first look at Peter 1:23 we are born again of incorruptable seed[spiritually] but our flesh is corrupt, so when we are walking by the spirit[the revealed word of God] we are all profitable but when we walk by the flesh the sences we walk

corruptly. we cannot lose our spirit which is God given, but you can turn away from the grace of God and decide or be tricked to walking by the flesh and become useless to GOD. iN 1jOHN ITS CALLED THE LUST OF THE FLESH AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE. So

basically what you sew is what you reap either of the flesh or of the spirit. Remember in the gospels Jesus christ said those who

really believe from the heart Romans 10;9=10 none will be lost why because we have been bought back. God is not an indian giver and He keeps his word. Keep something in mind its called gift of holy spirit so when understood correctly we operate it by our freedom of will because God is not a control freak that the other dude and he does it by manipulation. When someone says to me God made me its never the true God. Prayerfully this helps.

To be saved by grace would mean God decides our salvation, not us.

For we can't save ourselves but we must try believing grace will abound.

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: ( Revelation 2:26)

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. ( James 4:7)

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, ( Revelation 2:7)

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. ( James 1:12)

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us ( 1 Peter 3:19-21)

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. ( Galatians 6:2)

John 6:37 would be one of many verses that would show the permanency of salvation. I believe in the permanency of salvation because I am trusting in the one who saved me and the one who has promised to keep me saved until the day of redemption.

Matthew 24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

Hebrews 10:36 "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."

2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Matthew 12:32 "...but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

    Matthew 7:21-23

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."

James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

1 Cor 9:24-27 run the race

    Matthew 12:31-32

    Romans 14:12

    2 Peter 3:17

    Luke 8:5-18

    1 Timothy 4:1

    2 Peter 2:20-22

    Galatians 5:4

    1 Corinthians 15:2-8

    2 Peter 2:20-21

    Romans 11

    Hebrews 6:4-6

Important to read all scripture in its full context, not just cherry pick. When reading in context its obvious from countless passages, parables, teachings that God wants us to obey him! Satan deceives believers into assuming doing evil is ok; it's not.

    Hi Jim.

We get that question a lot.

That question is the source of a lot of debates and division for years.

For me here is a couple of reasons why I no longer like to answer those"original" posts directly.

    1) In a way it is like a person asking "if you commit suicide will you go to Heaven?" I am cautious to give an answer to that: afraid of what one might do with that information.

( It can prompt one to continue in sin.)

    2) Some ask that question rhetorically. ( Looking for a debate )

You asked for "scripture" on once saved always saved ".Please Forgive me for asking is that a rhetorical question?

However, To be cautious in my answer I would say examine by what means where you saved and your answer lies there.

I can not loose my salvation because I have a great Shepherd who layed down his life for me and calls me by name!! "He said he will never say to me I never knew you!" And he said "no man or myself can pluck me out of his hand!

    John 10:28-29.

This same Shepherd said he will NEVER leave or forsake me and he would abide with me forever.

    Hebrews 13:5.

    John 14:16.

He will NEVER leave or forsake me and he would abide with me forever!!

    Now notice John 14:17.

" Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, AND

( SHALL BE IN YOU )

He shall be in me and he shall never leave or forsake me!

In order for us who are "TRULY" saved to loose our salvation; Christ would have to be able to loose his salvation.

    Colossians 3:3.

Examine ourselves and by what means you were saved and the answer lies there.

    God bless.

    Hey John,

This is my understanding, please study and let the Holy Spirit help you come to your understanding.

The people in Thessalonica were questioning things and had concerns about the second coming of Jesus. Paul, in first and second Thessalonians, was responding to Timothy's report on the church there. In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul told them that Jesus would not return until two things happened "for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;".

What is this falling away, apostasia; meaning defection, revolt, to leave, or depart? To be one of the two things that Paul lists that will happen before Jesus returns it must be of a large scale, not some gradual departure.

In Revelation 3:10 there is the hour of temptation that will come on all the world. In 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 and for this cause God shall send them strong delusion. God will not keep us from being tempted but keep us by giving us the strength in our faith not to surrender to it. This temptation comes upon all the world including the believers in Christ if we are still alive, if we are living, we will face this, Revelation 13:9-15

Jesus said these words, Matt. 10,16 Mark 8 and Luke 9, Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it, to me fits this very time that is coming.

Romans 8:17-18 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

"Here is the patience and the faith of the saints".

    God bless,

The falling away isn't limited to one country and I believe we are in that now . When my Grandma was a little girl , everyone went to church , if one of the neighbours didn't go they were talked about for days behind their back . It didn't matter which church you went to just so long as you went to one . I have a lovely painting done by a friend of mine of Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac on the altar , in the background is a ram with its horns caught in the thicket , my friend's daughter , in her early twenties , had no idea about the painting at all . Is it religious ? She asked me . Where I live , religious education barely exists and when it does , children have to learn about all beliefs , muslim hindu buddist etc . When I was a child ,about 9 years old , our school did it's version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat , all our school plays were stories from the Bible and I didn't go to a religious school , just an ordinary state school . Because of globalisation everything is relevant which ends up meaning that nothing is , a famous author once said : when man stops believing in God , he will end up believing in anything , I believe we are in the midst of the falling away , now If you say you go to church people look at you as if you are crazy . They are the fools , but they think we are . Some people are in for some very big surprises smiley face , Dear Heavenly Father , please send Jesus back to us very soon , when it is Your will .

I'm a born again Christian King James Bible Baptist I would like to know about the second coming they said that the will be a falling away is it like this that there's 350 million people in this country and there's only 50 million Christians let's just say hypothetic and that means there's 300 million non-believers or people don't know about Jesus Christ it's just maybe it's too hard or frustrated and people are just giving up and they're just they're tired I hope I said this correctly I've been studying this I just like to have some more input on it thank you very much my brothers and sisters in Christ I hope all your prayers will be answered in Jesus name I pray amen
