More than ever, we must follow king Hezekiah's lead and go before our LORD for HIS salvation and grace. Our current woes we face are from within our own leadership and not from the outside, so to speak.
We have the power in CHRIST name to go before the LORD'S throne of grace and humble ourselves and call on HIM to bring relief to our borders on all areas and levels in our nation.

This Psalm contains virtues of a human king; but also some of God's attributes alone. Most verses can have either meaning. In the first five verses we see characteristics of a valiant warrior with "truth, meekness and righteousness" adding to the exalted status. Verse 2 however stating that the appearance was "fairer than the children of men" would seem to indicate a description of God; or at least that of an angelic being.
Verse 6 directly describes God; and verse 7 seems to indicate a Messianic anointing. Priests in Exodus 29:7 and Exodus 8:30 were anointed and the further application was to be for the Messiah. Myrrh in verse 8 is mentioned in Matthew 2:11.
The rest of the Psalm (verses 9 to the end) talk about attributes much as is in the Song of Solomon for the king and could also be related to a love story. Such abandon of our lives and forgetting our own people and past could also relate to someone like Ruth who decided to follow Naomi and therefore became part of the royal lineage. The children in verse 16 could also in some sense be the spiritual descendants of Christ. The Psalm ends with "thy name being remembered in all generations" which is certainly a description of Christ but also could relate to King David co ruling with Christ. We also shall be "kings and priests" on the earth some day ruling and reigning with Christ ( Rev. 5:10).
You have taken a good decision dear Jonet. Unfortunately many of us have the same belief that we can transform a frog to a prince, but in practice most of the times it occurs the other way around, princesses like you are in danger of becoming something not nice. Sin is powerful and if one don't protect themselves from it they often get themselves in a big trouble. The Bible suggests that we must not share our lives with non believers. That was why God asked Jews in OT to not mix with gentiles. Everytime they ignored God's Laws something bad happened to them. You took a good decision, keep it . Ask God to direct you to the proper person and He will definitely do that, this is His will actually.
I am born again and have the spirit of the Lord but for many years I have chosen men that were wrong for me and it became obvious. This morning I sought a specific word from the Lord and can it be he wants to set me free from choosing frogs or from choosing to act like Pharoh? I think I thought that if I kissed them theyd become princes and you know how we ladies like to think we can change a man. We Christians think we can make choices without asking him because we feel something, without taking into account the scripture that says " The heart is the desperately wicked thing" The heart feels this or feels that but God knows. I want to trust my Lord to keep Pharoh and the frogs out of my life. So this morning I "cast my cares over on the Lord for he cares for me." I trust and obey the Lord. Please pray for me.
In the past I've used that analogy of the puzzle pieces. The Gospel paints a picture starting from Genesis.
The problem often comes when one have a picture in mind and try to fit pieces of the puzzles together that don't belong so they have to reshape the surrounding pieces to there liking, usually by spritualizing all the pieces/scripture, or they take one piece of a puzzle/scripture that represents their picture and try to fit it in a 1000 piece puzzle that it doesn't belong to, so they reshape the 1000 pieces by spritualizing.

But if they would let the scripture say what it is saying you would find the answer throughout the chapter, especially verse 7.
"For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry"

People who are being released from bondage no longer need to listen or obey the former master under whom they had been in bondage to. People also, should wish to get as far away from this "master" as they can and not look back. Because, as this chapter shows us, the 'master' (pharaoh) reneged on his agreement and was not willing to let them go as soon as YHWH took away the plague of flies. He hardened his heart further. Sin is our master in our fleshly nature. We have been delivered from it by Jesus (YHWH). We should want to be as separated from it as the Israelites were separated by YHWH from the plagues of lice and flies, whereas before they had suffered the first plagues. They needed to learn the seriousness of remaining in bondage. They needed to learn to look to YHWH for all protection from enemies and unhealthy, unclean things. We should see sin as being far worse for us as these plagues. It is deadly. So, once we are delivered from sin, we should hate it in all forms and not desire to go back to it.
Were the Israelites learning that YHWH is truly the only God and the only One they can trust with their lives? Were they learning that YHWH was the One True God and the others they had learned about in Egypt were truly false? Were they learning that YHWH was the One True God worthy of their worship? I think God was working on these things with the Israelites before they leave Egypt so that they will never want to go back into a place of bondage. They needed to know what YHWH could do to them and what he could rescue them from so that they would not look back like Lot's wife. Certainly, the Israelites wanted to have their yoke of bondage eliminated, but if they were freed and could remain in Egypt would they ever leave? Probably not. they need to go with Him when He says go, and go where He says to go.
This chapter continues with the plagues YHWH brings upon Egypt miraculously. The magicians of Pharoah are able to conjure up frogs, but not lice, nor flies. So, they admitted that this was the work of the finger of God. It is with the plague of flies that God spares the Israelites and their animals in the area of Goshen. Moses entreated YHWH each time to have the plague cease. The magicians could not make the plagues go away. The Israelites suffered under the plagues of water turned to blood, frogs, and lice. YHWH needed to teach the Israelites who He was and what He could do. They needed to be taught fear of the LORD. Then God showed His power in sparing them from the flies. They needed to learn about His mercy.
The Egyptian dust-god was named Geb, a god of fertility. YHWH making the dust into lice made what the Egyptians considered divine (dust) and most helpful into lice, something despised, unclean, and harmful. The Egyptian frog-goddess was named Heket. The frogs were normally confined to the water, so controlled by the water gods. But here, YHWH showed that these water gods really did not have any control as He was stronger. The Egyptian fly-god was Khepri (having the head of a fly) and was attributed to creation, the sun's movement, and rebirth. YHWH demonstrated power of this idol. YHWH not only could make the created substances that the Egyptians worshipped become pestilence, He could also make the plagues stop.
Again, YHWH tells Moses and Aaron to go meet Pharaoh on his way to the river. He most likely was going there early in the morning to worship. With the plague of flies, Pharaoh says he will let the Israelites go just a short ways from their homes to offer sacrifice. Moses had asked for a three-day journey to worship. Moses says that the Egyptians will be offended if they are close enough to the area to offer their sacrifice of bulls and rams. The Egyptians would be appalled because they worshipped bulls, calves, and other livestock.
I find it intriguing to consider his writing finger relative to the following passages:

Hello, I don't believe that. Everyone has different gifts and most Christians don't speak in tongues from those I've met. I've seen young people try to do it from peer pressure, but was unauthentic and just jibberish just like it says here: 1 Corinthians 14:28. You can pray for the gift of the holy spirit. Some believe it comes as soon as you choose to follow Christ, others say when you pray later. Either way, I believe you know by your conscience. You can pray to know how to recognize it. Once, long ago. My Father and older brother was on our way to our fishing hole when it started raining Very hard. We pull off into a service station and frogs was falling from the sky with the rain, hundreds of them. They was hopping all over the ground. So, I know this is possible.
"Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses" The only place in scripture, where any of Pharoah's magicians are named. They matched several of the plagues, but were defeated with the plague of lice, Exodus 8:18. We don't how many magicians he had, but we know these are two of them. I would give the world, to have been named or alluded to in the Bible...but NOT in the manner of these two...no, never!
Jehovah God continued to give Pharaoh a chance to listen and let his people go, but Pharaoh chose to harden his heart and defy him. This was a very unwise and deadly choice he made.
The character and nature of Pharaoh and the Egyptians against the LORD and His people, was the same spirit that was in all the Countries of the world then, as it is today. The implacable hatred and arrogance and heathen defiance against the Spirit of Christ, is what's behind all the violent rage and screaming rebellion, slander and lies, against the good. Just like Pharaoh, they will never repent.
Joshua, Pharaoh and the Egyptians were idol worshipers. It seems from Ex. 5:2 Pharaoh said "Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go. But Pharaoh knew God or should have known him after the plague of lice when his magicians said unto him in Ex. 8:19 "this is the finger of God: and Pharaoh 's heart was hardened, and he harkened not. THE MAGICIANS ON WHICH THE KING DEPENDED, RECOGNIZED THE FINGER OF GOD AND RELAYED IT TO PHARAOH.THE LORD SHOW OUT AND SHOWED FORTH. PHARAOH WAS ACCUSTOMED TO TROUBLING THE PEOPLE OF GOD THEREFORE, EVEN WHEN HE LET THEM GO, HE PLACED A RESTRAINING ORDER ON THEM NOT TO GO TOO FAR LET 'S NOT QUICKLY FORGET THAT THE LORD HAD TOLD MOSES THAT HE 'LL HARDEN HIS HEART AT THE SAME TIME HE DID THAT TO SHOW HIS GLORY SO THAT HE 'LL SEE ALL THE SIGNS AND WONDERS PERHAPS.
