Whenever we question suffering and why it needs to be on this earth today; the ultimate question may be why did God's Son have to suffer beyond any other in creation? Again; the physical death would have been nothing compared to the sweat of drops of blood considering His upcoming separation from the Father and taking on our sins onto Himself. This atonement is perhaps the biggest reason suffering needs be; it all began with the fall of man and it's ripple effect in all Creation but God in His infinite wisdom knew that this atonement needed to happen to restore all things to Himself ( Acts 3:21).
One could; of course look at all of human history as one would view a screen play; full of drama; pathos and various characters of antagonist or protagonist leanings. This helps us to examine God's overall "emotions" (again reducing things to a human level to comprehend characteristics of the Godhead). If we were to examine our free will in the midst of this it could be crudely compared to a rogue actor doing some unscripted scene which is confined to the small time allotted for the play to act itself out.
This shows how we as humans cannot ultimately change the course of predetermined events; but also that we are not robots ourselves who are always bound to the same script but all have individual roles to play and also how all of us are interconnected to each other. This results in all who are His own on "stage right" as it were and the rest on "stage left". Proverbs 3:6 says in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your steps (I believe that is one translation).
When we look to the Apostle Paul's declaration that the sufferings of the present time are nothing compared to the glory to come ( Romans 8:18) we see that the joys of heaven will therefore be so much the greater after the harvest from today's brief trials
Philippians 2:12,13: is Paul reminding them, 'you have God's Salvation, now work it out (i.e. don't be slack or negligent in living the new life that Christ has purchased for you), & do so in fear & trembling - living the Christian life is a serious, disciplined matter, under the ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
"Our Faith, Belief, Repentance are WORKS and a RESULT and EVIDENCE of, not REQUIREMENTS for, Salvation." There certainly must be an on-going evidence of Faith, Belief & Repentance in a believer's life, but none of the passages suggest that they cannot be requirements towards Salvation.
Part 5: Ezekiel 36:24-33. Indeed, this passage is all of God's Action: that Israel would be released primarily from Assyrian/Babylonian captivity & then ultimately "from all countries". But what happened? Have they yet received "a new heart & a new spirittaking away the stony heart of flesh? Their Messiah came, gave His Life for them & they yet remain obstinate & stony in heart. I believe this will yet happen ( Romans 11:25-27), when Israel will be saved. How will they be saved? These verses don't divulge this information, except God's Act to take away their sins.
And so we go back to what Jesus had commanded & to which the apostles obeyed, Mark 1:14,15 "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE the gospel."
Acts 3:19, "REPENT ye therefore, and BE CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" Israel in the future, will still need to believe & accept that Jesus was indeed their Messiah; maybe all Works in your understanding, but vital if they are to receive "a new heart & a new spirit".

When I read this statement, it appeared you're stating that Belief & Repentance are necessary (good works) but are the result (could read it as, products) of our Salvation. If something results from an activity, it is assumed that the activity takes place first. So, if Salvation comes first, then how does Belief & Repentance result from it?
As well, in this last comment from you, you write, "Repentance and Belief of someone whom God has saved or plans to savedoes NOT contribute in any way whatsoever TOWARDS their salvation. These are good works that we do because God has saved us or in the process of drawing us to salvation". So even here it seems that Repentance and Belief, though non-contributing to salvation (and I agree to this part), but are evidences post-Salvation or during Salvation. Maybe your thought of Repentance is the continual attitude of the believer in his day-to-day life/warfare, and not of an initial repentance required for salvation; or even, if someone is the Elect of God, he must be saved from the beginning even as a sinner, but only has to repent & believe when he realizes his state. So, I too remain perplexed for I too don't believe that Repentance & Belief can be added to God's Gift of Salvation or else they would be considered as Works; YET I know that Repentance & Belief are necessary to grant Salvation ( Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; Acts 8:22; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9).

Concerning the Elect, my understanding from 1 Peter 1:2, is that those who are the Elect of God are such because of God's Foreknowledge; i.e. He knows beforehand who will be His and this of course, as the rest of that verse explains, are those who will be obedient to Christ & His Sacrifice and by the sanctifying Work of the Spirit. These facts are the marks of the Elect, the true believer - God's Foreknowledge of us already knows that to be His Elect, we would turn to the Cross & His Spirit would engage with us, and of course, we would first hear the Gospel & be convicted by its message.

I'm sorry, but I can't agree to this, because how I'm reading your statement, is that salvation (i.e. the Spirit's regenerating Work in the sinner) comes first then the saved sinner repents & believes in Christ. To me, that is putting the cart before the horse. If a person receives salvation (forgiveness & regeneration) why would repentance & belief come after it? Surely, a sinner needs to repent of his sins first, calling upon the Name of the Lord to be saved. Even as Peter preached in Acts 3:19, "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"; this speaks of repentance & then conversion (regeneration), not the other way around.

Amen, when the preacher behind the pulpit does not believe in perfection, neither will the church. The man of God has to be perfect, unlike what we hear today unbelief.

Genesis is a GOD's Plan to restore or of restitution of all things: Acts 3:19-21. What does it mean to believe? What is the evidence that we believe? As Paul said, it is like running a race, when we start this race, we believe we are going to finish, and with God's Spirit we have all the determination and motivation we are not only going to finish this race we are going to win this race.
We are saved! We are being saved! We shall be saved! When we start, are all our sins forgiven, our past, present, and our future sins the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and are baptized? Is our salvation guaranteed and we cannot lose it or fall out of grace regardless?
We are saved. Eph. 2:5 When we accept the gospel and are baptized our sins are blotted out, Isaiah 44:22Acts 3:19 and we become a child/son/daughter of God, John 1:12 we are justified, made righteous by the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and now we begin a relationship through God's Spirit, and God and Jesus abide in us, 2 John 1:9. This is the start of the race, the beginning of our salvation.
We are being saved. Philippians 1:6 Hearing the Word one believes and is baptized into Christ they are made clean (justification) the work of grace, and the Lord will continue working in us until He returns if we abide in Him John 15:3-5. How does God complete his good work in us? Testing James 1:2-4, chastising Heb. 12:6-7 Our relationship. If we abide in Him, Jesus, and God abides in us. We shall be saved. Redemption and glorification. Our full salvation comes at the end, when Jesus returns. Luke 21:28 "being now justified" We started the race. We are being saved, "being reconciled" we are running the race, 2 Cor. 5:18. We shall be saved at the end of the race. Romans 13:11.
Well said brother, likewise reckon, we should think or consider and live a life as if we are dead to sin. Some take it as it is a one-time deal, and they are good to go. But is it conditional? If we are conditionally accepted there is something on our part, we must do to be accepted. Our faith, like Abraham, is that God is the only true God and He can and will reward us. We must choose to come to Him on His terms or continue in the ways of the world and if we do we will receive the gift of faith from God, His calling.
What must we do? We are all sinners in need of God's mercy, or our sins will remain, not forgiven, blotted out, or paid for unless we come to repentance as we are commanded to, Acts 17:30. If we obey we will enter His mercy, and our sins will be blotted out, Prov.28:13 Is. 55:7 1 John 1:9Acts 3:19. Our past sins that separated us from God, Is. 59:1-2.
With repentance and confession, we are no longer separated from God, no longer under condemnation we enter justification, made right with God we enter the presence of the Lord, Acts 3:19. Baptized into Christ we begin a relationship through the Holy Spirit to all who obey and repent, Acts 2:38.
To remain in justification, we must continue to follow the lead He provides through the Holy Spirit, Rom. 8:1Rom 8:12-14. While we remain in Justification and repentance Jesus continues to cover by His blood the penalty for sins we commit, 1 John 1:7.
Paul, we know was chosen by Jesus and he was filled with the Holy Spirit, but he said even he could be a castaway, 1 Cor. 9:25-27. Even with the seal of the earnest of the Holy Spirit, a downpayment is for what we are at that time, if we fall back, it can be forfeited if we are not willing to remain repentant. If we choose to walk by the flesh and not after the Spirit we return to condemnation and we will perish, John 15:6 the word IF, we will have to pay the penalty for sin ourselves, Rev. 21:8.

The descendants of Japheth (Noah's son) populated the areas of southern Europe and north of Turkey. From these regions, the descendants of Japheth spread out north and east and west. Japheth's descendants were the most numerous of the three sons.
The descendants of Ham settled in the land of Canaan, Egypt, Ethiopia, and most of the African continent. It is believed that they also settled lands around the Indian Ocean.
So, we are not all Hebrews. People are either descended from Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Most of us are descended from more than one of these sons as intermarriage among cousins was common practice in the time of Noah's sons and descendants.
But, to answer your question, Adam and Eve were not Hebrews. The Hebrew people came to be after the flood. The world was populated by the descendants of Noah's three sons. Anyone who was not descended from Jacob (Israel) was a Gentile, as were everyone who came before Jacob.
Paul tells us in Romans 10:12; Galatians 3:7; 3:28-29; Ephesians 2:13-19 that in Christ we are all one in Him, neither Jew nor Greek (gentile) and are all children of Abraham due to our faith in Jesus. Together we are united in Jesus comprising "one new man" in Him, the promised Seed of Abraham to whom the covenant comes to fulfillment. Because Jesus is the true and intended final heir to the covenant made to Abraham, we in Him are made heirs to this covenant also because of our union with Christ.

Abraham was a Hebrew. So was Lot and Sarai. Abraham had eight sons-Ishmael (from Hagar), Isaac (from Sarai), and six more sons from Keturah after Sarai died. All of the peoples descended from the sons of Abraham are Hebrews and Semites. These are mostly the people who settled the Arabian peninsula and wilderness/ mountainous areas near Canaan. Isaac settled in Canaan with his father, Abraham. So, the Israelites are not the only descendants of Abraham, however, God told Abraham that it is through Isaac that are heirs to the promises (covenant) to Abraham ( Genesis 17:19)

Abraham and Isaac will be fulfilled through Jacob as the heir, not Esau. So, both Esau and Jacob were Hebrews, grandsons of Abraham, but the people God was going to call to Himself were to come from Jacob.

The Abrahamic Covenant also included a promise of blessing and redemption ( Genesis 12:3). All the earth would be blessed through Abraham. Alyssa,we are to believe the truth about Jesus for salvation, which is the gospel message of His sinless life to fulfill all the requirements of the laws for us, His physical suffering and death on the cross to satisfy the offense of our sins to God and bring forgiveness of sins, and His bodily resurrection, that brings to us justification before God and the guarantee that we will be resurrected bodily and be glorified at His second coming. We are to believe that our salvation lies solely in Jesus and we receive this salvation by faith through grace upon receiving the truth of the gospel. Peter preached as such in His sermon at Pentecost. ( Acts 2:28) and again in Acts 3:19. Paul preached as such in Acts 17:30 and 20:21 and 26:20. Preaching repentance and turning to God in faith in Jesus through the gospel message. The practice of those who believed was to be baptized following conversion.
So, while it is not absolutely necessary for salvation for one to be baptized, Jesus did command believers to be baptized, just as He commanded people to believe in Hm to be saved. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward spirtual cleansing and of being crucified with Christ and buried (thus the waters of baptism) and raised with Christ (thus the coming out of the waters of baptism) and seated with Him in the heaven.
That to me, Onewatchman, is a difficult question to answer, simply because the Holy Spirit will come into a person's life to take up residence, when that repentance of sin is real, without other motives or hypocrisy. By this I mean, a sinner might be suddenly overwhelmed by the volume & intensity of his sin before God's Holiness (as was in my case back in 1979), where I fell to my knees in tears when my sin, once enjoyable & boundless, suddenly became a horror in my heart. I could do nothing else but cry out for mercy to a merciful God. And how did I know that I was baptized in the Spirit? Not with other tongues, nor any other outward manifestation, but with an overwhelming peace in my heart & the assurance that my cry was heard & I was now forgiven. To me, that could only happen when the Holy Spirit filled me - turning my weeping over my wretchedness before God into laughter for being made clean & acceptable, because of God's mighty Work. And God's Spirit has been with me & in me all this time, in my long march Heaven-ward.
Mine is just a quick example for you, of a conviction of sin & reception of the Holy Spirit at the point of repentance. But of course, not all who repent or confess or even baptized in water, are necessarily saved. Why? Because we do not know that person's state, his reason for turning to Christ, or him just being on a journey with God, so that what may be repentance now, may some time later be a true repentance leading to salvation & the Gift of the Holy Spirit. So it is possible that a person may repent for his sins often (i.e. feeling sorry for doing wrong & then going back to the old ways; but not having the conviction of sin that causes a complete turn-around & brokenness before God). I think of Acts 3:19: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord...". True repentance brings true conversion brings true refreshing now & till Jesus returns.

I completely agree. I would even go as far to say that they not only lacked faith (Spiritual faith), but the had none at all. You see, the Holy Spirit had not come yet. They did have human faith but without the indwelling of Gods Spirit, they had no way of coming up with Spiritual faith. That faith is a fruit of Gods Spirit, not man produced.
Acts 3:16 is one of the great verses in the bible that says this man was given the faith by Jesus. And Jesus is glorified by it because Jesus is the one that did this.
Faith is not produced by man. There is a certain kind of faith that man produces, but it's not spiritual faith, and it's not saving faith.
James, in James Chapter 2 discussed that. There is a faith that won't save you. Religious faith, human faith! But there is a faith that is produced by the Holy Spirit. The bible says that God gives us the faith.

I needed a renewal of faith. Jesus gave his apostles the authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, through his name. I just needed to reach out to him. His word in an instant renewed my faith. I asked him to take control of this turmoil. Just as soon as it came out of my mouth those worries vanished. Praise God!!!!

Whenever we question suffering and why it needs to be on this earth today; the ultimate question may be why did God's Son have to suffer beyond any other in creation? Again; the physical death would have been nothing compared to the sweat of drops of blood considering His upcoming separation from the Father and taking on our sins onto Himself. This atonement is perhaps the biggest reason suffering needs be; it all began with the fall of man and it's ripple effect in all Creation but God in His infinite wisdom knew that this atonement needed to happen to restore all things to Himself ( Acts 3:21).
One could; of course look at all of human history as one would view a screen play; full of drama; pathos and various characters of antagonist or protagonist leanings. This helps us to examine God's overall "emotions" (again reducing things to a human level to comprehend characteristics of the Godhead). If we were to examine our free will in the midst of this it could be crudely compared to a rogue actor doing some unscripted scene which is confined to the small time allotted for the play to act itself out.
This shows how we as humans cannot ultimately change the course of predetermined events; but also that we are not robots ourselves who are always bound to the same script but all have individual roles to play and also how all of us are interconnected to each other. This results in all who are His own on "stage right" as it were and the rest on "stage left". Proverbs 3:6 says in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your steps (I believe that is one translation).
When we look to the Apostle Paul's declaration that the sufferings of the present time are nothing compared to the glory to come ( Romans 8:18) we see that the joys of heaven will therefore be so much the greater after the harvest from today's brief trials
Philippians 2:12,13: is Paul reminding them, 'you have God's Salvation, now work it out (i.e. don't be slack or negligent in living the new life that Christ has purchased for you), & do so in fear & trembling - living the Christian life is a serious, disciplined matter, under the ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
"Our Faith, Belief, Repentance are WORKS and a RESULT and EVIDENCE of, not REQUIREMENTS for, Salvation." There certainly must be an on-going evidence of Faith, Belief & Repentance in a believer's life, but none of the passages suggest that they cannot be requirements towards Salvation.
Part 5: Ezekiel 36:24-33. Indeed, this passage is all of God's Action: that Israel would be released primarily from Assyrian/Babylonian captivity & then ultimately "from all countries". But what happened? Have they yet received "a new heart & a new spirittaking away the stony heart of flesh? Their Messiah came, gave His Life for them & they yet remain obstinate & stony in heart. I believe this will yet happen ( Romans 11:25-27), when Israel will be saved. How will they be saved? These verses don't divulge this information, except God's Act to take away their sins.
And so we go back to what Jesus had commanded & to which the apostles obeyed, Mark 1:14,15 "Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE the gospel."
Acts 3:19, "REPENT ye therefore, and BE CONVERTED, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" Israel in the future, will still need to believe & accept that Jesus was indeed their Messiah; maybe all Works in your understanding, but vital if they are to receive "a new heart & a new spirit".

As well, in this last comment from you, you write, "Repentance and Belief of someone whom God has saved or plans to savedoes NOT contribute in any way whatsoever TOWARDS their salvation. These are good works that we do because God has saved us or in the process of drawing us to salvation". So even here it seems that Repentance and Belief, though non-contributing to salvation (and I agree to this part), but are evidences post-Salvation or during Salvation. Maybe your thought of Repentance is the continual attitude of the believer in his day-to-day life/warfare, and not of an initial repentance required for salvation; or even, if someone is the Elect of God, he must be saved from the beginning even as a sinner, but only has to repent & believe when he realizes his state. So, I too remain perplexed for I too don't believe that Repentance & Belief can be added to God's Gift of Salvation or else they would be considered as Works; YET I know that Repentance & Belief are necessary to grant Salvation ( Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; Acts 8:22; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9).

Concerning the Elect, my understanding from 1 Peter 1:2, is that those who are the Elect of God are such because of God's Foreknowledge; i.e. He knows beforehand who will be His and this of course, as the rest of that verse explains, are those who will be obedient to Christ & His Sacrifice and by the sanctifying Work of the Spirit. These facts are the marks of the Elect, the true believer - God's Foreknowledge of us already knows that to be His Elect, we would turn to the Cross & His Spirit would engage with us, and of course, we would first hear the Gospel & be convicted by its message.

I'm sorry, but I can't agree to this, because how I'm reading your statement, is that salvation (i.e. the Spirit's regenerating Work in the sinner) comes first then the saved sinner repents & believes in Christ. To me, that is putting the cart before the horse. If a person receives salvation (forgiveness & regeneration) why would repentance & belief come after it? Surely, a sinner needs to repent of his sins first, calling upon the Name of the Lord to be saved. Even as Peter preached in Acts 3:19, "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"; this speaks of repentance & then conversion (regeneration), not the other way around.

What does it mean to believe? What is the evidence that we believe? As Paul said, it is like running a race, when we start this race, we believe we are going to finish, and with God's Spirit we have all the determination and motivation we are not only going to finish this race we are going to win this race.
We are saved! We are being saved! We shall be saved! When we start, are all our sins forgiven, our past, present, and our future sins the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and are baptized? Is our salvation guaranteed and we cannot lose it or fall out of grace regardless?
We are saved. Eph. 2:5 When we accept the gospel and are baptized our sins are blotted out, Isaiah 44:22 Acts 3:19 and we become a child/son/daughter of God, John 1:12 we are justified, made righteous by the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit dwells in us, and now we begin a relationship through God's Spirit, and God and Jesus abide in us, 2 John 1:9. This is the start of the race, the beginning of our salvation.
We are being saved. Philippians 1:6 Hearing the Word one believes and is baptized into Christ they are made clean (justification) the work of grace, and the Lord will continue working in us until He returns if we abide in Him John 15:3-5. How does God complete his good work in us? Testing James 1:2-4, chastising Heb. 12:6-7 Our relationship. If we abide in Him, Jesus, and God abides in us. The branches bear the fruit of the vine, the vine produces the fruit not us/branch, sanctification. We are running the race Philippians 2:12
We shall be saved. Redemption and glorification. Our full salvation comes at the end, when Jesus returns. Luke 21:28 "being now justified" We started the race. We are being saved, "being reconciled" we are running the race, 2 Cor. 5:18. We shall be saved at the end of the race. Romans 13:11.

Well said brother, likewise reckon, we should think or consider and live a life as if we are dead to sin. Some take it as it is a one-time deal, and they are good to go. But is it conditional? If we are conditionally accepted there is something on our part, we must do to be accepted. Our faith, like Abraham, is that God is the only true God and He can and will reward us. We must choose to come to Him on His terms or continue in the ways of the world and if we do we will receive the gift of faith from God, His calling.
What must we do? We are all sinners in need of God's mercy, or our sins will remain, not forgiven, blotted out, or paid for unless we come to repentance as we are commanded to, Acts 17:30. If we obey we will enter His mercy, and our sins will be blotted out, Prov.28:13 Is. 55:7 1 John 1:9 Acts 3:19. Our past sins that separated us from God, Is. 59:1-2.
With repentance and confession, we are no longer separated from God, no longer under condemnation we enter justification, made right with God we enter the presence of the Lord, Acts 3:19. Baptized into Christ we begin a relationship through the Holy Spirit to all who obey and repent, Acts 2:38.
To remain in justification, we must continue to follow the lead He provides through the Holy Spirit, Rom. 8:1 Rom 8:12-14. While we remain in Justification and repentance Jesus continues to cover by His blood the penalty for sins we commit, 1 John 1:7.
Paul, we know was chosen by Jesus and he was filled with the Holy Spirit, but he said even he could be a castaway, 1 Cor. 9:25-27. Even with the seal of the earnest of the Holy Spirit, a downpayment is for what we are at that time, if we fall back, it can be forfeited if we are not willing to remain repentant. If we choose to walk by the flesh and not after the Spirit we return to condemnation and we will perish, John 15:6 the word IF, we will have to pay the penalty for sin ourselves, Rev. 21:8.

I like to meditate deeply in the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD( John 1:1), and to deceipher the biblical enigmas. The psalmist said: I will bend my ear to a parable, with a lyre(harp) I will solve my riddle.
In my view, Genesis is a GOD's Plan of RESTORATION of all things( Acts 3:18-26), revealed to Moses around 2500 years after Adam, or after two and half GOD's Days working in His creation. By the way, around 4000 years after Adam(end of fourth Day), our GOD was still working:JESUS, the EXPRESS IMAGE of GOD, said:My Father worketh hitherto, and I work- John 5:17KJV. Jesus was a descendant of Judah through David's lineage (which was the line from which kings were to be chosen).
So Cheryl, this is the breakdown of the line of Shem, Noah's son.
The descendants of Japheth (Noah's son) populated the areas of southern Europe and north of Turkey. From these regions, the descendants of Japheth spread out north and east and west. Japheth's descendants were the most numerous of the three sons.
The descendants of Ham settled in the land of Canaan, Egypt, Ethiopia, and most of the African continent. It is believed that they also settled lands around the Indian Ocean.
So, we are not all Hebrews. People are either descended from Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Most of us are descended from more than one of these sons as intermarriage among cousins was common practice in the time of Noah's sons and descendants.
But, to answer your question, Adam and Eve were not Hebrews. The Hebrew people came to be after the flood. The world was populated by the descendants of Noah's three sons. Anyone who was not descended from Jacob (Israel) was a Gentile, as were everyone who came before Jacob.
Paul tells us in Romans 10:12; Galatians 3:7; 3:28-29; Ephesians 2:13-19 that in Christ we are all one in Him, neither Jew nor Greek (gentile) and are all children of Abraham due to our faith in Jesus. Together we are united in Jesus comprising "one new man" in Him, the promised Seed of Abraham to whom the covenant comes to fulfillment. Because Jesus is the true and intended final heir to the covenant made to Abraham, we in Him are made heirs to this covenant also because of our union with Christ.

All of us are descended from the Noah, who had three sons. Noah was from the lineage of Seth (who was a son of Adam and Eve.
Noah's sons were Shem, Japheth. At the time of Noah and his sons, no one was a Hebrew.

Eber (or Heber) was the great grandson of Shem. It is from Eber that the name Hebrew came about People called them Hebaru.
All of the descendants of Eber were Hebrews, not just the Israelites. Abraham was descended from Eber in the sixth generation from Eber.
There were many descendants from Shem (Noah's son). These people were considered as Semites (which is derived from the name Shem).
Abraham was a Hebrew. So was Lot and Sarai. Abraham had eight sons-Ishmael (from Hagar), Isaac (from Sarai), and six more sons from Keturah after Sarai died. All of the peoples descended from the sons of Abraham are Hebrews and Semites. These are mostly the people who settled the Arabian peninsula and wilderness/ mountainous areas near Canaan. Isaac settled in Canaan with his father, Abraham. So, the Israelites are not the only descendants of Abraham, however, God told Abraham that it is through Isaac that are heirs to the promises (covenant) to Abraham ( Genesis 17:19)
Jacob and Esau were born to Isaac. They were twins. God determined that the promises/covenant God made with
Abraham and Isaac will be fulfilled through Jacob as the heir, not Esau. So, both Esau and Jacob were Hebrews, grandsons of Abraham, but the people God was going to call to Himself were to come from Jacob.
God changed Jacob's name to Israel and renewed the covenant of Abraham with Jacob. Jacob had twelve sons. These sons were
all Hebrews. Jacob's son, Judah was selected as the son by whom the Messiah would descend. The people of Judah's lineage were called Judahites, Jehus, and as a term of derision, Jews by the surrounding peoples.

When Jehovah ( psalm 83:18) confused their language they all spread out and became nations of people like you see today.
to the point: Abraham was a righteous man who lived in Canaan. but one of God's angels told him to leave Canaan then became a father to a nation of Israel ( Genesis 17:1-8). God name Jacob Israel ( Genesis 32:28). this is how a Nation of Isreal came about. Canaan land later became Jerusalem belonging to Israel the Jews.
However, Israel repeatedly sinned by worshiping other gods. even Solomon the last king worshiped false Gods ( Nehemiah 13:23-27) Jesus turned to the Gentiles which means nation who will believe ( John 3:16,17).
However, their are some Israelites who did believe, but most rejected Jesus.- Acts 1:6-8; Matthew 24:14; 2 Timothy 3:13-17

I'm not sure if this the right section to be asking this question, As I read through the old testament trying to understand all that I can, I noticed it is the history of the Hebrew, so in the beginning it where did other people come from if this the Hebrew history, now we are all one in Christ, but before Christ where did other people come from who made them since God made man in his image ( Adam & Eve) Hebrew. So other nationality where did they come from , are we all Hebrew blood line

The Abrahamic Covenant also included a promise of blessing and redemption ( Genesis 12:3). All the earth would be blessed through Abraham. This promise finds its fulfillment in the New Covenant ( Jeremiah 31:31-34; cf. Luke 22:20), which was ratified by Jesus Christ, the son of Abraham and Redeemer who will one day "restore everything" ( Acts 3:21).
Five times in Genesis 12, as God is giving the Abrahamic Covenant, He says, "I will." Clearly, God takes the onus of keeping the covenant upon Himself. The covenant is unconditional. One day, Israel will repent, be forgiven, and be restored to God's favor ( Zechariah 12:10-14; Romans 11:25-27). One day, the nation of Israel will possess the entire territory promised to them. One day, the Messiah will return to set up His throne, and through His righteous rule the whole world will be blessed with an abundance of peace, pleasure, and prosperity.

THAT BRINGS US TO THE DAVIDIC COVENANT.
The Davidic Covenant refers to God's promises to David through Nathan the prophet and is found in 2 Samuel 7 and later summarized in 1 Chronicles 17:11-14 and 2 Chronicles 6:16. This is an unconditional covenant made between God and David through which God promises David and Israel that the Messiah (Jesus Christ) would come from the lineage of David and the tribe of Judah and would establish a kingdom that would endure forever. The Davidic Covenant is unconditional because God does not place any conditions of obedience upon its fulfillment. The surety of the promises made rests solely on God's faithfulness and does not depend at all on David or Israel's obedience.

Alyssa,we are to believe the truth about Jesus for salvation, which is the gospel message of His sinless life to fulfill all the requirements of the laws for us, His physical suffering and death on the cross to satisfy the offense of our sins to God and bring forgiveness of sins, and His bodily resurrection, that brings to us justification before God and the guarantee that we will be resurrected bodily and be glorified at His second coming. We are to believe that He is God in the flesh, the eternal Son of the Father who, though God and Spirit, became man while keeping all His divinity, to be our Saviour according to the promises made throughout the Old Testament.
Alyssa, these are the basic beliefs for one to believe for salvation. We are to believe that our salvation lies solely in Jesus and we receive this salvation by faith through grace upon receiving the truth of the gospel. Water baptism is a command of Jesus26:20for those who come to faith in Him. ( Matt. 28:19)
Peter preached as such in His sermon at Pentecost. ( Acts 2:28) and again in Acts 3:19. Paul preached as such in Acts 17:30 and 20:21 and 26:20. Preaching repentance and turning to God in faith in Jesus through the gospel message. The practice of those who believed was to be baptized following conversion.
So, while it is not absolutely necessary for salvation for one to be baptized, Jesus did command believers to be baptized, just as He commanded people to believe in Hm to be saved. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward spirtual cleansing and of being crucified with Christ and buried (thus the waters of baptism) and raised with Christ (thus the coming out of the waters of baptism) and seated with Him in the heaven.
Mine is just a quick example for you, of a conviction of sin & reception of the Holy Spirit at the point of repentance. But of course, not all who repent or confess or even baptized in water, are necessarily saved. Why? Because we do not know that person's state, his reason for turning to Christ, or him just being on a journey with God, so that what may be repentance now, may some time later be a true repentance leading to salvation & the Gift of the Holy Spirit. So it is possible that a person may repent for his sins often (i.e. feeling sorry for doing wrong & then going back to the old ways; but not having the conviction of sin that causes a complete turn-around & brokenness before God). I think of Acts 3:19: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord...". True repentance brings true conversion brings true refreshing now & till Jesus returns.

I completely agree. I would even go as far to say that they not only lacked faith (Spiritual faith), but the had none at all. You see, the Holy Spirit had not come yet. They did have human faith but without the indwelling of Gods Spirit, they had no way of coming up with Spiritual faith. That faith is a fruit of Gods Spirit, not man produced.
Acts 3:16 is one of the great verses in the bible that says this man was given the faith by Jesus. And Jesus is glorified by it because Jesus is the one that did this.
Faith is not produced by man. There is a certain kind of faith that man produces, but it's not spiritual faith, and it's not saving faith.
James, in James Chapter 2 discussed that. There is a faith that won't save you. Religious faith, human faith! But there is a faith that is produced by the Holy Spirit. The bible says that God gives us the faith.

1 Timothy 3:12 Must be another rule of The Church, because Titus doesn't state Children must be in the Faith.
The verse states "well managed children", and not "Children of Faith". Where do you get Children must be in the Faith out of ruling their children, and their own houses? In verse 12
