Discuss 2 Samuel 23

    GiGi:

Psalms is the words of Christ: 2 Samuel 23:1-2

Psalms 82:6 I (Christ) have SAID, Ye are gods, the children of the most high.

Jesus himself QUOTED his OWN prophecy.

John 10:35 If HE (the spirit of prophecy) CALLED them (the children of resurrection) gods, unto whom the WORD OF GOD CAME, and the scripture CAN NOT be BROKEN.

Jesus is telling the Pharisees, they read and study the scriptures, but have no knowledge of their TRUE MEANING, very little has changed TODAY.

John 1:5 And the light shineth into darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

You say Psalms 82:6 means gods of this world, antichrist, sons of predition

Let's see what happens to this scripture when we apply it to mean as you define it.

I (Christ) have SAID, ye are gods (antichrist, sons of perdition, Satan, gods of this world), THE CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH.

Let's apply your definition to some other scriptures.

Deuteronomy 10:7 For the Lord your God is a God of gods (sons of perdition, gods of this world, antichrist)

Joshua 22:22 The Lord God of gods (gods of this world, sons of perdition, antichrist), the Lord God of gods ...

I hope you rethink what you are saying about GOD'S WORDS.

Could it possibly be your not rightly dividing God's Word, maybe Paul was talking about something completely opposite to what Christ was Prophesying.

My rebuttal is ALSO in LOVE.

Does the church you attend preach the KINGDOM of God, or is it like most churches and preaches heaven and hell?

    God Bless YOU!

    Amen U4YAH:

You are correct; most if not all of the Psalms are prophecies of Christ; AND, all the words of Psalms are the words of the spirit of Christ; AND, Christ has the spirit of his Father ( 2 Samuel 23:1-2)( Isaiah 59:21).

Psalms 23:6 Surly goodness and mercy shall follow me (Christ) all the days of my life: and I (Christ) will dwell in the HOUSE of the LORD forever.

Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own HOUSE; whose HOUSE ARE WE ....

Colossians 1:27 .... this mystery .....Christ in you .....

Keep sharing as the spirit reveals HIS TRUTH to you.

    God Bless You!

    Part 2 of earlier posting.

This form of self-transformation is also referred to as self-righteousness ( Romans 10-3), while in truth you follow after a image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15) and deceived the whole world ( Rev. 12:9), as people by nature are in fact children of the devil ( Acts 13:10).

Gal. 1:11,12. The gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1).

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and the scriptural references we use serve as confirmation that it is not us that speak, but the Spirit of our Father that speaketh in us ( 2 Samuel 23:2; Matthew 10:20; Acts 4:8; 6:10).

Narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

    GiGi:

In the Hebrew there is no Capital G: God

god and all gods are lower case, translators put in the capital letter.

The Father is the god, all else are a god, you know which is which by the articles; the and a.

Jesus is a god, Jesus says he's is not the father, but was a god sent by the Father.

If you study the Psalms and understand it is Christ speaking and not David you will have better understanding.

    2 Samuel 23:1-2

Read Psalms 69 with the understanding it is Jesus speaking, NOT DAVID.

The whole bible are the WORDS OF GOD, not the words of the man that set those words to paper.

    God Bless YOU!

Have been reading your bible that reads each chapter I find interesting and very useful. My grandmother who passed before the turn of the centry read the bible everyday when I was young and I have fond memories setting with her and talking about our lord the father. I am 68 years old soon to be 69 years old on April 3rd of this year and I have downloaded your app on my computer and cellphone and reading your bible I think of her and what she taught me. We had long talks and I miss her so and tears of memories tell me not to let her down reading about our heavenly father. Thank you for a chance to rekindle her memories of days long passed with her and pray I will be with her in paradise.

Once again thank you, Sonja West

    Jacqui:

To understand Psalms you have to understand that it is Christ talking, not David, David just penned the words of Christ.

2 Samuel 23:1 ....the sweet psalmist of Israel, said

2 Samuel 23:2 The Spirit of the Lord spake by me .....

Psalms 34:2 My (Christ) soul (body) shall make her boast in the LORD (Christ's father and Christ's God), the humble (the called of God) shall hear thereof and be glad.

The Psalms is a prophesy of Christ, not David.

May God Bless you as he gives his light into truth.

    "Grae":

Stay true to what the Spirit teaches you.

As you can see the truth that the book of Job is about the life of Christ.

Look at the book of the Psalms in that same light.

It's a conversation between Father and Son, and the sons life, and those prophecies of that relationship.

    Remember it's Christ's words not David's.

    2 Samuel 23:1-2

    God Bless YOU, his body.

    QUESTION? PSALMS 51

Whose words, are the words in Psalms 51?

Are the words, David's words; or they, the Holy Ghost's words?

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God SPAKE as they were moved be the Holy Ghost.

2 Samuel 23:1 Now these be the last words of David ......

2 Samuel 23:2 The spirit of the Lord SPAKE by me, and his word was in my tongue.

Is not Psalms 51 a PROPHECY of Christ coming as SINFUL FLESH to be saviour of the world?

Psalms 51:13 Then will I (Holy Ghost) teach transgressors thy (the Father's) ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee (the Father).

May God give us eyes to see and ears to hear.

    Amen, Brother Alex:

As you pointed out our people believe the words in the Psalms are the words of David; instead of believing they are THE WORD'S OF CHRIST.

2 Samuel 23:1 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high (CHOSEN for GOD'S WORKS), the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel SAID,

2 Samuel 23:2 THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD SPAKE BY ME, an his word (CHRIST IS THE WORD) was in my tongue.

    God Bless You!

Sunny, David penned the Psalms, but they were written by the Spirit Of the Lord (Christ).

2 Samuel 23:1 Now these be the last words of David .....

2 Samuel 23:2 The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, an his words were in my tongue.

Revelation 19:10 .....I (Christ) am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.

It will change the whole way you view God's word when you understand the WORDS in Psalms is CHRIST speaking, not David.

The Lord (Father) is my (Christ) shepherd, I (Christ) shall not want, etc., etc.

Christ is a MAN and dependant in every WAY ON THE FATHER, as we are dependant every way on CHRIST.

Christ said I of my self I can DO NOTHING, the Father does all thing FOR (or through me).

Christ is THE BODY that HOLDS (is filled with the FULLNESS OF HIS FATHER).

We can of our selves DO NOTHING, Christ does all thing FOR (or through us).

We are the BODY that HOLDS (is filled with the FULLNESS OF CHRIST).

A body is just a vessel, that HOLDS: GOD.

Christ HOLDS the FATHER in the (his) Body, we Hold, CHRIST in our body, therefore we are ONE, the temple, were God and the Son dwell WITH US.

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE body (MAN), and ONE Spirit (GOD).

Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of ALL (the body(s), who is above ALL (the body(s), and through ALL (the body(S), and in you ALL (the body(s).

The Father can not be seen, so he made a body that HOLDS SPIRIT that can be seen.

Man HAS to be GIVEN this KNOWLEDGE, grace is a GIFT (given) of God.

SATAN is used by God, for God's will.

1 Chronicles 21:1 And SATAN stood up against Israel and provoked David to number Israel.

2 Samuel 23:1 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he (the LORD) MOVED (through Satan) David to number Israel.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God that worketh in you (in his creation, including Satan) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

God is SOVEREIGN, nothing happens without GOD CAUSING IT TO HAPPEN.

How many pairs of clean animals did God tell Noah to take into the Ark?

Gregory, may the Spirit grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

2 Samuel 23:1-2 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

(vs 2) The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

Yes, Jesus is the one speaking in Psalms as also in all other scriptures; sometime to the Father sometime to us. Be sure you keep the pronouns in the proper order. The word of God will take on a whole new meaning as you study these prophecies and their relationship to you, the Father and the Son.

David, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Psalm 39:5 May my soul be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in the Lord.

Most everyone thinks this is David's words. The traditions of man have done great harm in causing most everyone to stay deceived of the truth in the scriptures. Let's look at two verses in Samuel that will completely change the way Psalms should be understood.

2 Samuel 23:1-2 Now these be the last words of David, David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob said, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

(vs 2) The SPIRIT OF THE LORD spake by me, and his words we in my tongue.

According to David it was Jesus (the Spirit of the Lord) speaking the words we read in the Psalms.

Now Psalm 35 becomes a prophecy about Jesus Christ. Jesus is talking (or praying, same thing) with his father (his salvation, the one who would raise him from the dead).

Look at the parallels he prophesies about in Psalm 35 (other Psalms also) and other places in scripture that say the same thing.

They persecute me without a cause.

False witnesses rise up against me.

I behaved myself as if they were my brothers (even though they crucified me).

Hopeful, may the Spirit grace you with his (spiritual) knowledge and his (spiritual) wisdom.

John 6:63 ....... the words that I ( 1 Peter 1:11,the Spirit of Christ or 1 Peter 1:21,the Holy Ghost or 2 Samuel 23:1-2, the Spirit of the Lord or Revelation 19:10,the words of Jesus) speak unto you, they (words) are spirit, and they (words) are life.

The day of the Lord is prophecy about a spiritual day; but, a day in spiritual time is not necessarily a day in natural time ( 2 Peter 3:8).

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterwards (after the day of the Lord), that I (Spirit) will will pour my spirit upon all flesh......

Since the Spirit (Holy Ghost) was poured out on all mankind at pentecost; therefore, the day of the Lord begin at pentecost and is continuing to this day 2000 years later in natural time; but, only one day in spiritual time.

    Second witness:

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon (symbolic of Christ)..... Psalm 89:35-36 And it (the throne of Christ, from the proceeding verse) shall be established forever as the moon, and as a FAITHFUL WITNESS in heaven...... Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the FAITHFUL WITNESS.......into blood before the terrible (wonderful) day of the Lord (pentecost) come.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he (the Lamb) had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth hair, and the moon (symbolic of Christ) became as blood.....

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Matthew 27:51 ........and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.

John 19:34 ...and forthwith came there blood and water.

Revelation 8:1 And when he (the Lamb) had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half hour (spiritual time not natural time)

This time was the time between Christ resurrection and the day of the Lord (pentecost)

    Daniel 12:11-12 45 days between vs 11 and 12

Mac, may the Spirit of understanding grace you with truth, the Psalms were written (as is the rest of scripture) by the Spirit of the Father. 2 Samuel 23:1-2 Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel said, (vs) 2 The Spirit of the Lord, spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. Psalms will completely change the way you understand the word of God when you understand that the Spirit of the Lord is speaking not David. GBU

FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD AND EVANGELIZATION

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived, it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God ( James 4:4).

The believers are not of this world. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith ( 1 John 5:4).

    Additional readings as confirmation.

    John 7:7; 8:23; 15:19; 17:9,14,16; 18:36.

    Romans 12:2.

    1 Cor. 2:12; 3:19. 2 Cor. 6:17.

    Galatians 1:4.

    Ephesians 2:2.

    1 John 2:15; 4:5; 5:4.

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and the scriptural references we use serve as confirmation that it is not us that speak, but the Spirit of our Father that speaketh in us ( 2 Samuel 23:2; Matthew 10:20; Acts 4:8; 6:10).

The believers and followers of the true Christ do not involve themselves in the affairs of this world.

    God cannot be received by this present world and so-called world evangelization (global unity) is a deception at the highest level and the workings of the spirit of this world ( John 1:5,10; 8:23; 14:17,22; 15:19,20; 17:9,14,16,25; 18:36; Rom. 8:7; 1Cor. 1:20; 2:4-8, 12-14; 1 Thess. 3:3; 2 Tim. 3:12; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15; 3:1; 5:4,19; 2 John 7).

It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe ( 2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

Why do ye not understand me? Please read 1 Cor. 2:14 and John 8:43-45 and you will learn who erred.

We must now shake the dust of our feet and continue our communication with those where our work may be fruitful ( Matthew 10:14; Mark 6:11; Luke 9:5) and please remember: Ye must repent and turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

Jeffrey, Thin logic? Scripture is thin logic?

The Holy Ghost is called God, Jesus is God and the Father is also.

Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to LIE to the HOLY GHOST, and to keep back part of the price of the land? ...thou hast not lied unto men, but unto GOD.

Each Person of the Godhead SPEAKS AUDIBLY in the Bible--

God the Father SAID of Jesus in Matthew 3:17 ..."This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Jesus SAID in John 10:30, " I and my Father are one."

The Holy Ghost SAID in Acts 13:2, ..."Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them."

    Genesis 1:26-27, And God said, LET US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness...So God created man in his own image, in the image of God [not angels. the "us" can only refer to God.] created he him;

In the Old Testament, we find that God has a Son ( Proverbs 30:4, Psalm 2:7-12) and a Spirit ( Isaiah 40:13, 2 Samuel 23:2, Judges 3:10, etc.).

I Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

    The Godhead and salvation.

The Holy Ghost reproves us, teaches us, guides us and testifies of Jesus Christ.

John 14:26, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, HE shall testify of me:

in this verse i think that the Lord needs true worship from us,to be courageous and know that God is fighting for us. We need also to b obedient to Him as the three soldiers obeyed their Leader David and they were courageous no matter the philistines were in their camps so this calls on the cost of discipleship,we need to sacrifice no matter how the battle is hard but for God for he has victory.
