Charlie Frank. I agree, but if you think that 's bad consider verses 16-17 which advocate outright genocide. Deuteronomy 20:16 But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: When the Germans attempted this last century the word they used was 'Lebensraum ' - Living space for Germans instead of Jews, the difference being that the Jews very sensibly declined to execute this 'divine ' command. In principle however the intention is identical. The moral problem with christians interpreting Jewish scripture however is that many of the former also accept the authority divine revelation. So when Hitler excused himself by claiming that he was only doing God 's work, such christians are in a poor position to refute him! Especially when we also consider 1 Thessalonians 2:14,15 . . . the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: After some 2000 years of this kind of defamation is it any wonder that eventually somebody decided to take matters into their own hands with or without God 's explicit permission?

He said "I am the way, truth and the life, no man shall see the father except he come by me " He told me to go, and he said "I 'll go with you, all I want you to do is open your mouth and I will speak for you " He said "just keep on running and I will be your guide, I will never leave your side. Even when the times get tough he said "I 'll never leave you, said when look like nothing will go right, I 'll be there day and night...Hallelujah, thank you Lord!!

Praise God Hallelujah, when I think of the goodness of Jesus and all that he has done for me my soul cries out Hallelujah. As I read verses 1 4 my spirit gets happy because I know that God is indeed good. So many things he has brought us out of, so many places he has brought us from, so many people he has saved us from and so many situations he has delivered from and yet we still have little faith. Father God I thank you for allowing us to be here just one more day, lord I thank you because I know that we are not what and who we are supposed to be but lord you are mighty and merciful. Watch over us Lord and see even the smallest steps we make into become closer to you. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!!

my feeling is that God demonstrate a great deal of power and authority over enemies of His people. He reduces the warriors by accommodating all excuses that people will ordinary put forward as destructing them in their course of duty. he wants nothing but the best and free hearted of warriors. This apply to us in the sense that if we are chosen by Him, He will be by our side in the wake of the great attack by enemy. He never panics and weights the number warriors against the enemy but free spirited hearts against the enemy. In short if He is in charge I must let go completely of my worries.

Charlie Frank. I think we need to consider this in terms of the Israelis only as they are directed to secure the promise land. these directives help us too , figuratively speaking as we battle for our own promise land . further more, God has instructed his people on the way to treat slaves, strangers , and members of households.
