Malik, sadly fooled by Satan and his minions because That Prophet is not Muhammad, it plainly says He will be a Jew. Islam has ignored that fact and has been blinded by Satan!

The Mormon church has a living prophet within their church. He is a false prophet.

    Rajat,
Something else of extreme significance is that Jesus was born of a virgin, as even the Qur'an confirms. It doesn't say that about any other "prophet", including Mohammed.
  • GM Malik on Deuteronomy 18 - 12 years ago
Deuteronomy, chapter 18, verse 23-24.interesting discussion about Mohammad (PBH))another striking similarity between Moses (PBH))and Mohammad (PBH) is that both fought wars with thier enemies while Jesus (PBH) did not fight any wars.

    PROPHETIC COMPARISMS:

    a. Both Moses and Jesus came in miraculous ways -------- Muhammad came in ordinary way.

    b. Both Moses and Jesus were Prophetic since infancy -------- Muhammad became a Prophet in adulthood after his trade work that took him to judeo-christian nations/communities

    c. Both Moses and Jesus spoke to God directly as prophets-------Muhammad communicated with Allah via angel Gabriel

    d. Powerful pagan kings tried to kill both Moses and Jesus to nip their prophet-hoods in their infancies ------ Muhammad was not threatened by any pagan force even in his youth.

    e. Both Moses and Jesus came from religious families ------ Muhammad came from a pagan family.

    f. Both Moses and Jesus had their prophethood characterized by WONDERFUL MIRACLE performances ------ No miracle performance in the Prophethood of Muhammad.

    g. Both Moses and Jesus used the Torah ------- Muhammad used the Qur'an.

    h. Moses had just a wife and Jesus had none ------- Muhammad had nine (9) wives at a time in addition to the concubines.

    i. Both Moses and Jesus were literate Prophets ------ Muhammad was reportedly not

    j. Both Moses and Jesus were FROM AMONG those promised ------ Muhammad came from Saudi Arabiya away from those promised.

    k. Both Moses and Jesus died in accordance with prophetic outline ------ Muhammad was killed by a Jewish women who poisoned him and it was not based on any prophetic schedule

...........................so all these are more than enough to prove that the respective verse in the most HOLY BIBLE refers to GOD JESUS

    @ Obidiah

I agree. This definitely is talking about Jesus. No offense to anyone, but because the Jews did not accept him, does not mean that he is not God's son.

i think alot of these people are wrong. it talks about a prophecy of jesus
  • Ibrahim on Deuteronomy 18 - 13 years ago
It is cristal clear that jesus is not lime moses.
mohamed(PEACE BE UPON HIM)IS more like moses than jesus. Both moses and mohamed have father and mother but jesus only has a mother, both mohamed and moses have wives and children but jesus was single without children. Both mohamed and moses were accepted by theier people but jesus till now is not accepted by the jews. Both mohamed and moses died and buried but jesus didnot died or you christians said he was crucified. So this verse is talking about mohamed(PUB) and not jesus.
We know that the jews and the arabs are from the same father Abraham. He is the father of ismail and isac.

If false prpohets will die, does this mean that John the author of Revelations was a false prophet? How much time has to pass before a prophecy is considered false?

I have to say, all comments I received are rather feeble answers in particular the comment from Derek. I studied many of the Bibles with their own interpretations of this particular verse and still I am at a loss, however 7 out of 12 Bibles I did read on this verse shows that it was not Jesus God was speaking of, in fact, Jesus was unlike Prophet Moses. Clearly God stated 'I will raise up a prophet unto thee and put words into thy mouth.' Jesus was so not like Moses. Firstly prophet Moses was born of both parents, he had children, he was illiterate, and he died of old age.
Jesus was born by the virgin Mary, A message from God relayed by the Angle Gabriel that she will conceive. Jesus was able to speak from the cradle to the people who criticized his Mother Mary.
I guess the research will continue.

    15The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Does anyone know who God was referring to in this verse

Here on verses 20-22 it clearly tells us on how to spot the false prophets of God. As it says on verse 22 - the way to spot false prophets; we must be carefull. Whenever a prophet says something that does not come to pass, we know that they are false prophets and should check in the king james for ourselves every statement they say as we must also do when hearing other prophet's statements even our most trusted ones. I hope everyone learns of by heart this strategie in verse 22 so we are not deceived and made to be believe things that are wrong.
