21:15 Two wives - This practice, though tolerated, is not hereby made lawful; but only provision is made for the children in this case. Hated - Comparatively, that is, less loved.


Discussion for Deuteronomy 21:15

  • I can see that Polygamy is not prohibited in the Bible. You can still have more than one wife. Or if there is any verse that states categorically and is referring to the generality of human being, then let me know.
  • The son of the hated wife will always wage war with the other step brothers and sisters; it won't be easy to pull them together. In one way or the other, the beloved wife shall not have peace.
