  • Brianna Vs. 1
This applies to anyone with a position of power over another. This could be a supervisor, policemen, governments. They often think they are the law of the land. That they don't answer to anyone. However, if someone in power is unjust, then their Master God will hold them accountable. They will be held accountable for how they treat those beneath them.

Verse 11 if the only verse in the WHOLE Bible that has the word "Fellowworkers"

Travis: Justus is a Believer named Jesus. They call him Justus to distinguish who they're talking to.
  • A disciple
Travis; First of all, HOW WONDERFUL, I'm so glad for you! Mine is a similar story as yours! Get yourself a notebook and some pens; the Lord has much to show you! Jesus is the Anglicized rendering of the Greek Iesu for the Hebrew Yeshua. Just as Jude or Judas was the English for Yehudah, or John from Yochanan, or James from Jacob or Yaacov; these were popular names that parents gave their children.
  • Cindy
The name of the Savior was never mentioned in the Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Greek. His Name is Jesus nothing else. Jewish roots folks always trying to make a play on words to corrupt the Gospel into a works-based system that saves no one. The new testament was written in Greek because the Jewish nation rejected Jesus.
  • Travis Reed

Some people in the past, same as today has two names. Simon who Jesus called Peter for one. Sometimes he's called Simon Peter.
  • A disciple
"Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." The times past of our life was time wasted living in ignorance and lusts as if there is no day of reckoning. We owe it to the Lord and to all to give back for the time lost with knowledge and meaningful speech and behavior.
  • A disciple
Eutychus; I really enjoy your thought provoking posts. I hope you can benefit as well from my input. The Commandment for us as Christians is not to care about whether we slaves or free, because we are Christ's and our time is yet to come; but if we may be made free, to use it more for the kingdom of God. There is no commandment against helping others! Read Matthew 25 We will be judged by our mercy!
  • Eutychus
Archippus is admonished to fulfil the ministry he has been given by the Lord.vs17. Jesus says to us, "For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, AND TO EVERY MAN HIS WORK." Mark 13:34. To every man his work. Are we fulfilling the 'work' we've been given by the Lord? To every one, his work...And ladies, I believe you are included too.
  • Eutychus
Verse 1...it has been said, that in Jesus' time, Rome's population was 50% slaves. Paul admonishes both master and slave several times in his letters. But nowhere does Paul advocate creating a political party, or charitable organization, to help free the slaves. Could it be, there is that on earth, more important than slavery or its abolition? Could it be that Jesus is Master of both?

colossian 3/23 And whatsoever you do do it heartly as to the Lord, and not unto man. Its amazing how Our Lord can change the heart of man who has no faith to be the servent of Christ because of his divine Grace Learning to forgive and forget Great is the compassion of God Almighty

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. I have to remind myself, answering everyone with guidelines and with Grace. God is Love, there for we must Love one another.
  • Kesha A
Verse 6 is so important when it comes to communication with non believers. Always be mindful how you witness to people. As a Christian, we must be tactful with grace in spreading the word of God. Some people really don't believe that hell exist or that Jesus can save you from your sins. But how would they know unless we show them through the word of God. Be wise as a serpent

The things above is what us Christian's should have feelings for...whatever gifts recieve from Heaven ....Heaven this world ..... Amen
  • Wille
We always want our words to build people up not tear down. Good thing to remember in world that is full of hurtful speech and negative thoughts. Our conduct and speech should always be in good taste, considerate and wholesome.
  • Willie starks
I learn to trust jesus more and lay all cares and concern on him jesus is the reason all the season

  • Joyce Ballentine
THE THINGS ABOVE WHERE JESUS IS SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD IS BOTH TRUE AND ETERNAL! THE THINGS ON EARTH IS A TEMPORAl PLACE CAUSE OF THE SIN THAT 'S DESTROYING THE WORLD! CAUSE OF SATAN AND HIS LIES THE WORLD HAS BEEN DECEIVE TO FOLLOW HIS WAYS AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO STAND FOREVER! DEATH IS IN THE WORLD CAUSE OF THE LIES OF SATAN WE BELIEVED FROM THE BEGINNING IN GENESIS CHAPTER 3! THAT 'S WHY AS BELIEVERS IN CHRIST WE MUST CONTINUE TO STUDY AND UNDERSTAND THE WORD OF GOD SO SATAN CAN NOT FILL US WITH LIES! WHEN JESUS WAS ON EARTH, AT HIS WEAKEST POINT CAUSE OF NOT EATING NOTHING FOR FORTY DAYS, SATAN CAME AT JESUS WITH TEMPORARY WORLDLY THINGS! CAUSE JESUS WAS FILLED WITH SO MUCH WORD AND TRUTH, SATAN HAD NO CHANCE TO TURN JESUS FROM THE TRUTH WITH HIS LIES! AS BELIEVERS WE MUST SET OUR MINDS ON THE ETERNAL THINGS ABOVE CAUSE WE KNOW THIS WORLD AS WE KNOW IT IS ONLY TEMPORARY! LORD HELP US TO FOCUS OUR MIND ON THE TRUTH SO WE WANT ALLOW THE LIES OF SATAN TO DESTROY OUR LIVES ANYMORE! CAUSE THE TRUTH WORD OF GOD WILL SET US FREE! "WHO THE SON SETS FREE IS FREE INDEED "! AMEN! GLORY BE TO GOD!!!
  • Margaret for verse 14
thank you for your help in my studies
  • Motdaugrnds
...continuous prayer? When we are ever aware of our spiritual connection with the Father thru Jesus ' intercession and the Holy Ghost, there is not always a need for words. Our very existence fulfills this prayer state of being.
  • KNOWLEGE
CONTINUE IN PRAYER, MANY PRAY BUT FAINT AT SOME POINT.IT MEANS PRAY ALWAYS THAT IS ALL TIME
  • S Rdgley
Verse 4 is the sum " that you may stand perfect and complete in the will of God ". God 's master plan is that we stand perfect think holy, walk holy, talk holy, live holy in this present world. Our living is congruent with the perfect will of God. We are to walk in the Spirit of godliness and not in the lust of the flesh.
  • Steve
Pray and praise as we personify the word of God in our flesh by our speech and walk.
