This is telling us that we are no longer bound by the ceremonial aspects of observeing all holidays. Hebrew days of observance. Most people interprets the verse very incorrectly qz what are those food drinks which was offered which was to pass? Answer they must be sacrificial food which was offered for remission of sin through atonement . But since Jesus come become our true precious sacrificial offering , we don 't have to do do sacrifice again so that we may be forgiven since we have our high priest Christ who is tanning for our sins in heavenly sanctuary qz what about the Sabbath? What i picked from verse 6 to 8 Paul was trying to remind the colossians that they have received Christ consciously, they knew what they got then they should continue to walk with Christ Jesus. He also warned them of deceivers who may want to push them away from what they have heard that they should not listen to them rather they should grow deeper in Christ and seek to understand Him more, being that Jesus is the giver of wisdom n understanding.

If you read the whole book of colossians, you will come to the conclusion that Paul was warning his church who incidently was keeping the Sabbath. They had people coming to their church and giving them false information regarding sabbath. .telling them that they can worship any day. .so Paul told them that their practice of the sabbath day was right and that they should not listen to the false teachers.
We must ensure that the basis of our Faith is Jesus Christ and that we are to continue to be rooted in him who is the head of the church,not in philosophies n rules created by humans. Such rules are as temporary as the humans who constitute them. God 's word is eternal and powerful and it is only through God 's word that we get transformed.
Verse 6 7 summarize the chapter in my view. Receiving Christ and then walking in Him means the same thing as being firmly rooted and then built up in Him. This occurs by receiving and then keeping His truth. Words abound everywhere but there is only one truth! Don 't become like those who are faithful to falsehood. Jer. 2 11
We are incomplete without Christ. It is imparative that we lay aside human philosophies and traditions that seek to creat a partion wall between Christ and us.

The 10 commandments are at the same time the 10 divine charges against man as Jesus demonstrated. For instance he says if you look at a woman with an adulterous eye, you have already committed adultery in your hear. Now this leaves a guilty verdict upon one. I fully agree with Ed's i think that is the meaning intended,that watever we do we shuld do it right in fear of God such that no one if given the chance to judge us wuld find us guilty of any fault.

And how do we work in him? by obeying his word, doing his will, being commiiteed to the works of the ministry,preaching the gospel and many more. so these are the ways we can work in him; not receiving him and then we folding our hands and relaxed.
In Christ it where all fullness of Godhead dwells bodily(in character, and the church is also fully clothed with to power of God which is without limit, because it is in Christ, this power makes the church to be complete in all things without any lack, therefore all powers and authorities submit to Christ; the Lord of Lords,as a result nothing can stand against the Church that is aware of this power.

Contrary to brother Ed's take on this, it seems obvious that Paul is telling us not to allow anyone to judge us as to what we may or may not eat or drink. It has nothing to do with making sure that we can't be found guilty - it says LET no man (no one) judge you! We are not only not bound by the old covenant taboos, we are not subject to anyone else's judgments.
Our lives are only complete in Christ. Our plan works out when we are in Christ. And when we are in Christ we are seated with him high above all principalities and powers.
