Verse 21 22 Oh wretched man that I am while in this flesh, engaged in spiritual warfare, what joy to know that when the battle is over, I will be presented to the Father, holy, unblameable, and unreproveable. The spiritual battle of this sinful flesh and the forces of Satan will end in Victory for all who have received our Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. GLORY

To add to kelly 's statement, read King James Version of John 14 28 and ask yourself, Is Jesus returning to himself? John 14 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father for my Father is greater than I. Was Jesus displaying a split personality? I think not. He glorified his Father, the Almighty God and Creator of all things.
  • Kevin on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
Colossians our eyes are truly a gateway. They must always be on Him. Side tracked... So easy this day and age. Must always be reconciled to Him and looking at things not on this earth but above.
  • Delightful on Colossians 1:27 - 9 years ago
Christ in me the hope of glory because I am on Christ and Christ is in me therefore I have hope in his glory and his glory radiates through me. Amen
  • Greg on Colossians 1:15 - 9 years ago
If you think Jesus isn 't God, you should read Daniel 7 13 14 and you will understand that when He called himself the Son of Man, he was claiming to be the Lord who would rule over all the earth. In Matthew 25 31 46 Jesus taught this same principle 3 days before h was crucified. Jesus was before all things and higher in rank than all things, because He made all things!
  • Denise on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
We should pray to God for strength to do to his will and a mind to accept his will.also understand that God is the Father Christ is the son of God and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit which is sent from heaven to comfort lead guide and teach and give power to all that seek and serve God righteously.God and Jesus are not the same.God is our Father who sent to us his son Jesus to die for our sins and he hung on the cross and spoke unto God saying Father forgive them for they know not what they do.so Jesus was not talking to himself .Jesus sits at the right hand of God in heaven.
  • Deby Dougherty on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
Phyllis, I don 't know what Kelly said but Jesus said exactly that he was God. He was God incarnated in human form with unity of the Holy Spirit. That 's how he was able to nail satan to the cross in form of human flesh. And put all sin to death.
  • Roger Minor on Colossians 1:8 - 9 years ago
This is a determination of a total sacrifical love with no promotion of human, physical, or moral initiation. The guidance of the guidance of the Spirit is in total control, but that is not the question The question is "How do we allow the Spirit to have total control. Well, know that we must walk in the spirit in order not to fulfil the lust of the flesh these being contrary one to the other, but we have not yet gotten to the essence of the principle. Well here it is "These words I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. Simply allowing the Word of GOD to get off the pages and do in your life through obedience will fulfil Colossians 1 8 in your life
  • Barney on Colossians 1:15 - 9 years ago
Elohim the creator in relation to his creatures The God who was the beginning and the son Of God
  • Deidra Chavez on Colossians 1:12 - 9 years ago
Today FATHER! May the peace I now know that supersedes ALL understanding be given to those whom I Call FAMILY.
  • Steve on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
This chapter, like others, describes the Father as God the eternal architect with the plan and Christ as God the eternal builder with the power to enact the plans. The Holy Spirit is in the white spaces.
  • Abiodun on Colossians 1:15 - 9 years ago
According to col 1 15 Jesus is the exact representation of the father God .To me d image of God here talks about the nature and attributes of God. And no one has ever shown love and demonstrates power like Jesus did.
  • Rev. Autrey on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
Colossians 1 16 17 "Christ himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, the things we can see and the things we can 't the spirit world with its kings and kingdoms, its rulers and authorities all were made by Christ for his own glory. He was before all else began and it is his power that holds everything together. " Those who say that Christ is not God have bought into the JW heresy. This belief system has been around since the mid 300 's, started by Dr. Arius of Egypt. Arius said that God is different from Jesus. He also said that Jesus is a lesser creature than God, and not of the same substance as God. It was Satan 's attempt to make us believe that God had not fulfilled his promise to come and save us. But sadly, many Christians still believe this lie. We believe it to our own dismay, though. Here is the simple solution to this mystery. God and Jesus are the same. That is, when God sppeared on earth, he said, "I am Jesus. " The Father is God 's other personality, the way God directs his affairs, but Jesus is the way God speaks to us, and the way God made all things. Think about this, and it will all make sense. The bottom line is, we can 't have two Gods. This is not Christian thought. It comes straight out of the mind of Satan. May God bless you!
  • Phyllis wheeler on Colossians 1:15 - 9 years ago
I total agree with Kelly, people need to stop adding on to the word of God, Jesus never said he was God, He said he was the son of man, God was his father, and he also said he was a prophet.
  • Greg ormsbee on Colossians 1 - 9 years ago
HI, THIS CHAPTER HELPS ME REALIZE, JESUS AN GOD ARE THE SAME.... IT IS JUST HARD UNDERSTANDING JESUS SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, SINCE HE IS GOD...
  • Keith on Colossians 1:11 - 9 years ago
Christ gives us the power that sustains us to stay in God 's will and please God because being anxious is the opposite of patience, grumbling is a sign of lack of longsuffering spirit and thus there is no joy hence i love Christ for His power that causes us to be joyfull in all suffering and waiting patiently through all things.

The book of colossians 1 15 have just review exactly what Jesus christ is the word first born means the first spirit translated that JESUS is GOD because christains or non christains religeous or non religeous we all witness that it s God first and he is invisible God then why the first invisible God declare to you that JESUS is me and you no still believe
  • Gwendolyn on Colossians 1:15 - 10 years ago
to me it means that he is perfect not good but perfect in every way the word good means superior to something else when compared to other things but the word perfect means unlike unblemished without flaw complete in the Fullness of Jehovah God incorruptible that is why in Col 1 19 it states that it pleased Jehovah to have all His fullness dwell in Him Christ not made by hands or conceived by a human but by almighty God Luke1 35 The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the Shadow of the Highest will overshadow you therefore also that Holy Spirit will be called the Son of God not sure but if Jehovah is incorruptable that which of Him must also be incorruptable pure logic if you asked me
  • Lucille Martin on Colossians 1:26 - 10 years ago
The mystery or secret of JESUS CHRIST was in THE FATHERS plan from the beginning of time. JESUS was made known to at his birth. JESUS is the resurrection of the death in the garden.

A great and blissful hope of joining our LORD and Saviour in HIS kingdom through HIS great love of REDEMPTION of those who asked for redemption by cleansing sins in HIS precious blood and preparing us to face boldly the powers of darkness.
  • Doris Young on Colossians 1 - 10 years ago
Listening to Joyce Meyer this morning brought me to read this chapter, I was have problems with being steadfast in the gospel. After reading Colossians 1, I don't have to wounder about what peoples think, it reminded me to keep my mind on Jesus Christ, know that if I do so, I have the hope of Glory. Amen!!!....
  • John Apid on Colossians 1:27 - 10 years ago
    Christ in us, the hope of glory;

Glory - manifestation of the attribute/nature of God.

Therefore, "Christ in me, the hope of glory" is also to say that, "Christ in me, the hope of manifesting the attribute/nature of God".
It can be also, "Christ in me, the hope of manifesting God".

If Christ is in you, there is hope for the manifestation of God through you. Amen

Versus 9 is the versus that stands out to me: (For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;) Which reminds me that my prayers should be about: God filling us with the desire to be filled with the knowledge of his will, with the correct interpretation of it....... Definitely extremely important in this walk with God, that we don't become ministers of false doctrine, and that we don't be ignorant ourselves; that we spent the rest of our days pleasing God, or at least have more opportunity to.
  • Alvaro rodriguez on Colossians 1:24 - 10 years ago
This may refer to the Jewish apocalyptic concept of a quota of "messianic woes" that are to be endured before the end of times (see Mt 23:29-32)
