Paul was a good man of god. He suffered time and time again for what he believed in. I wish I could be like Paul.

To answer you Jo's,Please read Isaiah 55:8,9 and Romans 11:33,34. You cannot fanthom the nature and work of God.And God didnt put man on earth with Satan.Satan was overthrown from heaven due to his pride onto the earth.Read Isaiah 14:12-14,Ezekial 28:15-17,Revelation 12:7-9.On earth he deceived Adam and Eve and sin originated which result in death and which means the separation between God and Man.In creation,God spoke and His Word brought those spoken things into existence. So everything, seen and unseen things were brought into existence by the Word of God.This word is Jesus Christ whom Paul said everything was created by Him and for Him.Hence we humans, been His inheritance,He became one of us to redeem us from sin and bring immortality to light. He accomplisd this upon his death and resurection when he defeated Satan who had the power over death-Hebrews 2:14-15,Revelation 1:18.Now upon His return,he will punish Satan and those who refuse to obey him by sending them to eternal destruection. He will however glorify His Saint and we will assume His nature and be like him.He wl take us to heaven and there we will be with him forever.2Th1:8,9,1 John 3:2,3,1 Thessalonians 4:16-19,1 Corinthians 15:51-54.Pls read all versus.

Verse 16,17.In the begining God created everything by His Word.He Spoke and the Spoken Word brought seen things from unseen things. So all things came from God but His Word brought them into existence. This Word is Jesus the Son of God.This is why the gospel according to John recorded that "All things were made by Him and without Him was anything made that was made".So the Word brought everything into existence. This shows His superiority over creation. That why Paul said "He is the firstborn of creation,by Him all things were created".Our Lord Jesus Christ is our Life because He gave life to all things that came from the Father.Let us obey His commands so as to have eternal salvation for our souls.

To answer your question Ronald if you look at the end of vs 13 you will see it ends with his dear Son: this continues the rest of the versus in that it now refers to Christ ie in Whom we have redemption, Who is the image, for by him were all things created, these all refer to Christ. Hope that helps David

I have been praying Colossians 1: 9-13 over my husband and children as well as myself for several months now. All I can say is I am in awe! Absolutely amazing results! To God be the glory, great things He hath done! I have now began to include my precious church in this special prayer.

Jesus wants us to be feed with his heavenly manna the word of God. Inviting Jesus to dwell in us and listens to his word and reading his words God will increase our knowledge to understand the scriptures. By obeying his words this is the perfect good works to show Jesus that we love him and will follow him all the days of our lives. Jesus loves us and he wants us to rest everything to him coz he loves us and he always confirm his promises to us. Keep thanking God and praising God for sheding his blood to us.
  • Dotty Carr for verse 17

The hope of every true believer said in the words of the song. When CHRIST shall come in trumpet sound may I then in him be found dressed in his righteousness alone faultless to stand before his Throne.

COLOSSIANS CHAPTER 1 1 18 15 11:00 PM In these verses 25-26 we are blessed because the dispensation of God is fulfilled, even the mystery that been hid from ages and until to this generation was manifested to his saints. Glory to the Father, to the Son, and Holy Spirit. A-men.

Colossians 1.1. So as to walk worthy of the Lord, equip yourself to please Him in all things. By so doing, all your works shall bear fruit. and you shall flourish and increase in knowledge as to Who God is.
  • Patrick for verse 11
there is within us is the mighty glorious power and presence of God to change the world
  • Lilian
As Jesus himself is the word of God. Jesus will full fill the scriptures by feeding us with his heavenly manna - the word of God. Jesus is faithful to his promises and always show 's his love, mercy and grace all the days of our lives all we need to do is not to stop thanking him and praising him everyday , The Savior of our lives as he had anointed us, Jesus is fighting the battle for us no enemy can touch us.. the battle belongs to Jesus only...God sent his son Jesus to carry all the burdens and paid the price for us because of his love. God 's plan is to give us life, wiping our tears and follow him.

Much of this mistery spoken of in colosians is Christ revealed in the glorified form and His standing upon the earth as one body just as job saw it when he said i know that my redeemer liveth and at the latter day He shall stand upon the earth. Christ body was broken for the fellowship and gathering of the saints unto himself to one body and full stature, having reconciled all things to Himself. The cross is key, so key that it the only way posible to do this. He restores us to His presence only through His precious blood and by grace we will stand. Thank you JESUS
  • Ron
Verse 21 22 Oh wretched man that I am while in this flesh, engaged in spiritual warfare, what joy to know that when the battle is over, I will be presented to the Father, holy, unblameable, and unreproveable. The spiritual battle of this sinful flesh and the forces of Satan will end in Victory for all who have received our Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. GLORY
  • Etienne for verse 15
To add to kelly 's statement, read King James Version of John 14 28 and ask yourself, Is Jesus returning to himself? John 14 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father for my Father is greater than I. Was Jesus displaying a split personality? I think not. He glorified his Father, the Almighty God and Creator of all things.

Colossians our eyes are truly a gateway. They must always be on Him. Side tracked... So easy this day and age. Must always be reconciled to Him and looking at things not on this earth but above.
  • Delightful for verse 27
Christ in me the hope of glory because I am on Christ and Christ is in me therefore I have hope in his glory and his glory radiates through me. Amen
  • If you think Jesus isn 't God, you should read Daniel 7 13 14 and you will understand that when He called himself the Son of Man, he was claiming to be the Lord who would rule over all the earth. In Matthew 25 31 46 Jesus taught this same principle 3 days before h was crucified. Jesus was before all things and higher in rank than all things, because He made all things!
  • Denise
We should pray to God for strength to do to his will and a mind to accept his will.also understand that God is the Father Christ is the son of God and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit which is sent from heaven to comfort lead guide and teach and give power to all that seek and serve God righteously.God and Jesus are not the same.God is our Father who sent to us his son Jesus to die for our sins and he hung on the cross and spoke unto God saying Father forgive them for they know not what they Jesus was not talking to himself .Jesus sits at the right hand of God in heaven.
