3:15 And then the peace of God shall rule in your hearts - Shall sway every temper, affection, thought, as the reward (so the Greek word implies) of your preceding love and obedience.

Col 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. The peace of those who are made brethren in Christ and filled with his love. It must reign in the heart, then it will rule in the acts. This is the peace to which Jew, Gentile, and every race is called in one body. There must be no discord, schism, or factious spirit in the fold.

    Verse 11 shows that a part of the new personality we must strive to put on is impartiality. Jehovah God is impartial towards all. He does not show partiality based on race, nationality, social status, or any other external factors and we should imitate him.

    Verse 9: We should put off the old personality just as we would take off a dirty and foul smelling garment. We must work hard to put on the new personality that is approved by God.
