  • Is homosexuality wrong?

The scriptures given in other comments such as Romans 1; and those of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis and Jude of "unnatural" affection give the reasoning in scripture of God's offense towards these behaviors. If we merely look at it from a question of emotional fulfillment of what is considered "who we are" then we are missing a lot of other factors that need consideration.

First of all; man is created with a mind; body and soul; and according to Deut. 6:5 and reflected in the N.T. We are commanded to worship with all of our being and all facets of our existence. What is in the natural realm as to our biological makeup is pretty clear. When we consider that Adam was a living SOUL; we understand further the complimentary; i.e. "soul mate" or helper that was made for man in a woman TAKEN OUT of man with the original design. We also see the beginning of a covenant made between God and man that is universally accepted throughout the world. God is at the center; and the verse a cord of 3 strands is not easily broken may refer to that ( Ecclesiastes 4:12). This also gives children the ability to exist; as well as be brought up with the authority of a man and woman in proper respective roles.

It is clear that indeed pride is involved; which much of this community like to bring up as the sin of Sodom. To celebrate anything degenerate; and then use God's symbol for preservation of life is clearly a slap in the face to God. We need to look at individuals who have lived this lifestyle; as well as those who turned trans to see that MANY have turned to Christ and much to the chagrin of others in their community spoken out against it. Violence often seen in gay relationships (I've seen it myself); is excascerbated with the unbelievable stats on suicide among the trans sector. (like one third or more with attempts).

Fifty percent divorce rate gives legit beef to the gay community as to our lack of commitment as well as rampant heterosexual fornication.

Yes. God condemns sodomy (Deu. 23:17) and suggests those same-sex men and same-sex women who burn in their unnatural lust towards each other have already begun the process of degenerating into a state of total reprobation (Ro. 1:27.)

the original and natural way of multiplying our generation is through a Man and a Woman. that was a biblical right proposed and endorsed by God. Nature has been violated. the evil in this world has been inculcated into many other cultures making us go astray in the name of constitutional right. it is very wrong to be gay. remember sodom and gomorrah was destroyed because of such practice. If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." Leviticus 18 to 20

God loves everyone and doesn't want us to perish in our sins. God hates the act that violates His law but he love his people and want them to be saved.

When examining what the Bible says about homosexuality, it is important to distinguish between homosexual behavior and homosexual inclinations or attractions. It is the difference between active sin and the passive condition of being tempted. Homosexual behavior is sinful; temptation is not. James 4:7 says to resist the devil and he will flee.

Romans 1:26-27 teaches that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God "gives them over" to even more wicked and depraved sin to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. One of the fruits of rebellion against God is homosexuality. First Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that those who practice homosexuality, and therefore transgress God's created order, are not saved.

No matter what you choose to find attractive we cannot continue to define ourselves by the very sins that crucified Jesus-and at the same time assume we are right with God. Paul lists many of the sins that the Corinthians once practiced (homosexuality is on the list). But in 1 Corinthians 6:11, he reminds them, "That is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God" (emphasis added). In other words, some of the Corinthians, before they were saved, lived homosexual lifestyles; but no sin is too great for the cleansing power of Jesus. Once cleansed, we are no longer defined by sin.

The Bible does not describe homosexuality as a "greater" sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Without Christ, we are lost, whatever type of sin has entangled us. According to the Bible, God's forgiveness is available to the homosexual just as it is to the adulterer, idol worshiper, murderer, and thief. God promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus.

Absolutely. It is a great sin against God. He created male and female for recreating of mankind. This is a defiant rebellion against the Almighty and His plan for all in this life. He told man to reproduce and to replenish the earth for His glory. Yes homosexuality is a sin and can cause a person to become a reprobate. That means being void of judgement. You have already been judged according to the word of God. Salvation is for everyone, but you come out of sin, you cannot continue in any sin. Jesus died for our sins. His blood cleanses all sin, and He is the only way to have our eternal home in Heaven. Living for the Lord is the only peace and joy in this life and there is nothing fullfilling without Him. He loved us enough to give His life for us. Thank you Lord Jesus for your great sacrifice for us all.

Anything that is a sin. It is man that made sins greater than others. While to God sin is sin. Same goes for us today.

    1 Corinthians 3:16-17

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

How? By puting, saying or doing anything to our bodies that are bad for us. Smoking bad for the lungs, drinking for the liver, etc.

There is no question about this. Homosexuality is a sin regardless of what society is trying to make it look like. The Bible is clear. Romans 1:27.... Leviticus 18:22 NIV reads, " 'Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

There is no need to try to twist scriptures to fit our narrative. If you're attracted by the same, ask God to deliver you from this demonic attraction. He is merciful.
