Now because of technological advances in medicine many parts of the world, women and babies are saved during hard labor events.
"And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin." Genesis 35:18 KJV
The labor was so intense that Rachel could no longer hang on to her life and passed giving birth. I am glad that there is hope for many situations that can allow both the mother and baby to continue to live. God could have allowed the mother to live but God definitely allowed the baby to live at a time of intense labor. God is for life, because God created life and gives life.
"And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:" Luke 1:41 KJV
The baby in her womb was John the Baptist, destine to be a prophet.
"For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy." Luke 1:44 KJV
In a conception there is at three people involved, the mother, the father and unborn child (or children for multiple births at one time). Each should have a voice and each wants to live, only two the mother and father can speak for themselves outside of the womb. Who speaks for the unborn child's or children potential?
God allowed conception to take place and create life. God is for life of every human being, born, unborn and yet to be born.
In the US the courts reversed abortion rights, I think due to allowing the unborn child or children to have a voice, also because there are ways to avoid a pregnancy, such as birth control and its methods, abstinence and even sterilization. Even adoption is a possible option. People have more control in avoiding an unwanted pregnancy in this age of medical advances.
"And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth." Genesis 9:1 KJV
Even at the time of Noah where God destroyed the earth, He (God) still wanted humans to be reproduce and have child(ren). Everyone's situation is so different, I encourage anyone to have their child(ren) and trust God to help you navigate through your circumstances. Be among those that can say I made it through my circumstances with God's help. Stand on God's word. Trust and believe.
