what problem did lazarus have, and what did his sisters do about it- what other bible stories involve these people?
  • Ronnette on Revelation 21 - 1 year ago
Who is the 12th Apostle? Paul is what the Bible indicated. In whose authority? Jesus Christ.

"And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb." Revelation 21:14 KJV

"And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both (1) Peter, and (2) James, and (3) John, and (4) Andrew, (5) Philip, and (6) Thomas, (7) Bartholomew, and (8) Matthew, (9) James the son of Alphaeus, and (10) Simon Zelotes, and (11) Judas the brother of James." Acts 1:13 KJV

The reason I ask this very important question is to prove what truly the Bible said not what men or any religious sect says so. It is also important who is speaking and who has the ultimate authority in the Bible-Jesus Christ- John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Please understand the order of the Book of Acts.

    Strong Facts:

"But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:" Acts 9:15 KJV

    (12) "Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)" Galatians 1:1 KJV

"Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity." 1 Timothy 2:7 KJV

"Let his days be few; and let another take his office." Psalms 109:8 KJV

    Romans 11:13

For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

In my own opinion, I found that all other evidence verses are very weak indeed to call Mathias as the chosen apostle.

    Weak Facts:

"And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen," Acts 1:24 KJV

"And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles." Acts 1:26 KJV

"For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." Acts 1:5 KJV

Another controversial topic. Do we need to be baptized by water today, I mean the Church age? There may be some discussions about this somewhere. I hope the truth will come to ALL. Agape.

I see Jesus Coming down the mountain, I must wait as He is fast and their are many following Him. I will only have a minute. I will ask Him as I look into eyes and I know He sees my heart through my leprosy, and ask Him "if He will, can He heal Me "?

This is the condition needed for us to be healed!

We need His healing every moment of everyday!

In the midst of people who want to get close, but are not in His way, we wait and watch predicting His next move! Oh, that my heart would be ready when I finally see Him face to face! As I hear Him say, "yes be thou healed!" Remember me Lord when you enter into thy kingdom!

    Isaiah 49:15

"But Zion (nowdays all of us) said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls (and your lives) are continually before me."

Be encouraged. If God is with us who can be against us? ( Rom 8:31)

    Have a blessed weekend.

Is there a difference between "made" and "create" in the Bible; specifically pertaining to God? I've long been accustomed to thinking God creates with His mind, but the word "made" is used quite often

"And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived." Revelation 18:23 KJV

I noticed the word sorceries here is Pharmacy. I have no confident with the Pharmaceutical industries. I was sick and healed so quickly by taking all natural supplements. My "Professional"Doctor seems to be frustrated by me taking supplements. Because Certified Doctors are promoting Pharma drugs. Scary. I know for a fact that my Mom died using all drugs from doctors gave her. I witnessed her transformation until the end of her life. Pharma also seems to know how long you will get hooked to drugs until a person ready to be expired. And then Government in cahoots to stop social security pension to the point of death. Wow a great system we have. God judgments will come soon. You wonder why Politician will say something like we will give you transparency and then be silent when they get elected? Hmmmm sounded like Obama promised. We watched and we learned and understood the motives of these liar Politicians. Come soon O Lord Jesus Christ according to your will.

Where in the Bible Scripture does it talk about "Good Deeds" not being enough to get a person in the Kingdom of Heaven?
  • Brian on Matthew 28 - 1 year ago
Matthew Henry's commentary for Matthew 28 says, "On the first day of the first week God commanded the light to shine out of darkness. (On this day did He who is the Light of the world, shine out of the darkness of the grave;) and this day is from henceforward often mentioned in the New Testament, as the day which Christians religiously observed in solemn assemblies, to the honour of Christ."

I struggle with this commentary as it seems clear that Jesus rose from the grave on the weekly Sabbath. All four gospels reveal this. So, it's unsettling that most Christendom worships on a day, built on misinformation and that seems dedicated to the Sun and Sun-god worship.

N.B. I'm not advocating returning to the Law (especially the Satanic Noahide Laws) but since we live under Grace, why don't we celebrate the day of Creation & the Resurrection on the real day?

John 4:24. God is a Spirit. Since this is true, I'm inclined to think Jesus' reality is not his body, but spirit. The difference between God and Jesus is that God created Jesus, not the opposite.

Things bear like things as was established in James 3:12. The idea of both spirit and flesh being what/who I am,I must admit, is a bit confusing to me. If Spirit gives birth to spirit, and God who is a Spirit created me, am I not also spirit? Or if I truly am a body, is God a body? Is it possible He is both? If a fig tree bears only figs just as an olive tree bears only olives, and a grapevine bears only grapes, then logic tells me I am also spirit, if I'm created by God, Who is a Spirit. I could accept the possibility I'm both a body and a spirit, except being opposites, can they coexist? Again, it is a bit ambiguous to me. I could use some clarity.

In Matthew 23:35 the Lord Jesus states that Zacharias son of Barachias was slain between the temple and the altar. II Chronicles 24:20-22 states it was a different Zacharias, son of Jehoiada the priest. Which part of the Bible is incorrect?

John 20.29 This particular verse reaffirms the belief that Blessed are those who believe in an unseen God.

Lord does not mean God. If Thomas said that to Jesus in the previous verse, it should be taken in metaphorical sense and not actual. I cannot accept Jesus as Son of God nor God for the following reason .1. Matthew 24:36

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Son, but the Father only.

Here Jesus makes a distinction between what he knows and what the Father knows.

    2. Matthew 26:39

My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me, yet not as I will, but as Thou will.

Jesus' will is likewise autonomous from God's Will. Jesus is seeking acquiescence to God's will.

    3. John 5:26

For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.

Jesus received his life from God. God received his life from no one. He is eternally self-existent.

    4. John 5:30

By myself, I can do nothing: I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who has sent me.

Jesus says, "by myself, I can do nothing." This indicates that Jesus is relying upon his own relationship with God. He is not trying to "please myself" but rather is seeking to "please the one who sent me."

    5. John 5:19

The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son does also.

Jesus declares that he is following a pattern laid down by God. He is expressing obedience to God.

    7. John 14:28

The Father is greater than I.

This is another strong statement that makes a distinction between Jesus and God.

    8. Matthew 6:9

Our Father, which art in Heaven.

He didn't pray, Our Father, which art standing right here!"

    9. Matthew 27:46

My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Inconceivable if he is God the Creator.

The commentary seems to be correct in the beginning when he mentioned that Jesus was talking to His disciples about the end of time, but somehow lost the meaning that Matthew 24 talks about the Jews only.

Compare this chapter to 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:3, and 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58. The messages of Jesus Christ is different messages than the Apostle Paul mentioned on the verses I sighted above. Paul revealed to Gentiles the mystery of the rapture. I really think that we Gentiles will be raptured before Matthew 24 takes place. I am convinced that some of us may still be alive when we meet Jesus in the cloud. This is the exciting part of waiting. We are in the Gospel of grace. The gospel of Paul. We try to saved as many family and friends we can saved. I pray that many will be saved. Do the readers see the timeline of events?
