    Thomas's Genesis Chapter 11 comment on 1/14/2012, 6:57am...

I'm curious, if God knows the end from the beginning why did he see fit to destroy all flesh except that of Noah and his clan. Wouldn't he have seen the corruption coming when he made Adam and all that came after? Why didn't he just destroy them then and there?

GOd knows the end but he has given free will and hopes many of his children will choose the right thing and he also knew he would send his Son Jesus (Yeshua) to save the creation he so dearly loves else why would he have created them in his own image. His ways are not yours or my ways that's why he thinks different.

This mystery of iniquity was a first century individual. he is the one who had to be removed.
It is impossible for this wicked individual to be the church or the Holy Spirit, like many bible students think. This individual was alive in the first century, therfore the man of sin must have been revealed in the first century. Nero was the perfect candidate for the man of sin, because he put "almighty God' on his coins and forced everybody to choose to worship Nero or God.
Nobody could buy or sell without these coins.
This was the first century mark of the beast.

How long are the mainstream christian believers
going to preach the wicked gospel of Armageddon, to promote the wartime agenda
for the wicked new world order maniacs???

I wonder why so many christians are being duped
    by these unreasonable Messiancs expectation?
  • Brother Tarharka on 1 Timothy 2
The most high has given his creation specific duties that work to fulfill the benefit to the family in the general sense. However, this patriarcal view needs to be examine based on its time and place. There are women teachers who do a great job and women teachers who do a poor job. This applies for men the same. The Hebraic and Arab view in regards to women can be disconcerting. Abraham two sons formed the lineage of two belief systems; Issac/Christianity and Ishmael/Islam. God annoints whom ever He pleases...also the pronouns of He or Him can insinuate patriarchal views. God should not even be addressed as He because this refers to man. There are times man need to learn in silence and subjection. Let us not the people of the past views influence us to argue. Can you imagine some of the politicians views or conservative views being the gospel? Always think for yourself, whether it is the bible, qur'an or talmud...think for yourself and try to live a righteous life. Righteousness has no gender neither truth.
  • Chaz on John 14
I am so glad that he really wants us to know who he really is. So many r wrapped up in this trinitarian God the fat/son/hg theory but yet nowhere do u find this presented in scripture. What we do find is terminology like. If u have seen me u hve seen the father, why ru still asking to see the father,v7 from this point on u know him and hav what Seen him! 13-14 he makes importnt ref to In his name, why because he wants us to know that neither is there salvation in any other. If u understand that God just functioned at diffrent times doing a different thing... He created as spirit, he embodied himself as our redeemer and our savior. He sends the comforter in his name, what is the comforter? Its the HGhost read Acts 1/2:39. So if u refer to him as the hspirit, the spirit of Christ, U see its all him! Just alittle oneness information. Matthew 1 Mary would have a child and he would be called Emanual which means what? That God is with us, not 1/2 of God or A 3rd but that God himself had wrapped himself in flesh in the form of a babe to do what? Die for u and I why? because he said a spirit hath not flesh and blood as u see me have. u cant hang a spirit on the cross. So he is the fat/he is the son and he is his own agent to his own church in the form of the H/G but its all him!!

  • Cynthia on Esther 10
The book of Esther is a book of obedience and humility. Chap. 10 evidence of Jesus' coming...not! Not even Jesus knows the day or time. Why do people keep doing that? The only thing you need to do is stay in the Word and be ready.

dear Boyet Christian; mary was as blessed as any other person to be a conduit of divine Grace, to brand her as without sin would be to put her on a pedestal with Christ, that would be anathema - or is there another way of interpreting John 14:6?

  • Teresa on Luke 8
Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That IF TWO of you SHALL agree on earth as touching ANY thing that they SHALL ask, IT SHALL BE DONE for them of my Father which is in heaven.
I need someone to agree with me for a healing of my back, pelvis, and sciatic nerve. I believe God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 Therefore, he is still ALL powerful and anything is possible with God. He has touched and healed many throughout the Bible, including the woman with the issue of blood, so it is but a little thing for him to touch and heal me. Am I failing to touch the helm of his garment? Do I know how? Sometimes it is hard for me to accept, “He Did It All For ME” I am asking that you will in faith agree with me touching this one thing (Physical & Spiritual Healing). Thanks, and God Bless You!!!
  • Rod on Genesis 3
I can't wrap my mind what happened with Eve and Adam eating from a forbidden tree. There are those that said Satan took Eve's virginity but how could that be with Adam standing there?? He did know that Eve was his wife and he did know that a man leave his father and mother, join his wife and they become one.

So, it's hard to believe Adam just stood there and watch Eve get taken advantage of in that situation.

If Satan did take Eve's virginity, that tree of knowledge of good and evil bear some sort of fruit that was intoxicating. I think when Eve ate and gave to her husband, they both passed out from eating the fruit and Eve was thus taken advantage of and probably didn't know, nor did Adam.

And when they awoken, they obviously knew something wasn't right since they knew they didn't just "go to sleep." It's the same if a woman wakes up from a date-raping drug. She will definitely know something happened to her, likewise Adam and Eve.

And when they woke up, "guilt" probably was the first thing they felt and the fact they had to cover themselves, is a dead give-away and a guilty conscious that confirmed something sexual happened.

Even still, it doesn't explain why Adam felt the need to cover himself. I can see Eve wanting to cover herself after it happened to her but Adam had no reason for doing so. So, just what really happened there?

God cursed the ground for Adam's stake. That's a "partial" punishment as if he wasn't all the way at fault. The ground was cursed instead of him. And the fact he had to start eating herbs when he was eating "fruits that yield seeds" and "herb that bears seed" is quite indicative here.

Only the wild beast or non-humans were eating herbs as raw off the ground. So, if God to punishment Adam by making him eat herb raw from the ground, could be indicative that a beast actually molested Eve? Ape?

What does God first commands us to do? To love Him with all are hearts, souls, minds and to love our neighbors second.{fellow humans} Jonathan saw in David what the Lord saw in David and felt honored to be his best friend. David felt honesty and loyalty from someone who he could trust in a perilous and frightening time in his life. Johnathan personally experienced Davids great faith in the GOD of Abraham. What a story that would be. Ask him about that when you get to HEAVEN. PRAISE GOD
  • "In the Lord", is unclear. Does the Greek root shed any light as to the verse? Is this dealing with only mortal existence or in the life to come?
  • Moses parker on Genesis 1
In Genesis I don't think that G'd is speaking in a literal way; particularly when he speaks of the creation of the heaven and the earth. For example, when G'd says "let there be light" I think that it's allegorical language extolling us to get knowledge; develop the intellect. Is not knowledge a light? Does it not allow us to see? On the other hand, ignorance is darkness. "And G'd divided the light from the darkness" is allegorical for the separation of ignorance from knowledge.
  • Bill Whiteley on Luke 14
My earthly family may not be my eternal family. Some posts here come from a wordly point of view. What does a believer in Jesus and his word have in common with anybody who hates Jesus?
  • Takirid on Matthew 28
Jesus said we should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit. (Matthew 28:19, 20) What does this mean? Fatherhood refers to parenthood, and being baptized in the name of the Father shows that one recognizes the superiority and sovereignty of our heavenly Father, whose name alone is Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18) We must sanctify his name, respect his sovereignty, love his kingdom and serve its interests. (Luke 11:2) Next, being baptized in the name of the Son shows one’s appreciation for the high authority and position conferred upon the Son by the Father. There must be love and appreciation for the Son because he is the Ransomer. Without his sacrifice we could not gain life. How great a debt we owe him! (Isaiah 55:4; John 4:42) Finally, being baptized in the name of the holy spirit means to recognize such spirit as the active force of Jehovah. It is that same force that unerringly guided the men of old to write the Bible, impelled the early Christians to withstand persecution successfully and that today guides Jehovah’s theocratic organization on earth.—2 Pet. 1:21; John 6:63; 1 John 5:6.
One’s baptism is a public demonstration of death to a past course of life. If the candidate remained submerged in water, truly it would mean his death. Fittingly, one is raised to life as it were, alive to do the will of Jehovah. Thus one’s day of baptism could be said to be the day of one’s start in a new life. Baptism serves both as a public confession of one’s dedication and as a sign of one’s being an ordained minister. Doubly blessed by Jehovah is this individual. The date of one’s baptism should be recorded and remembered always. As far as Jehovah’s visible organization is concerned it is the date of your ordination to the ministry of the Most High.
  • Lonnie on Genesis 6:2
Butch is right. Basically Wesley is saying that the godly line (Seth) mingled with the ungodly cain and this union produced giants. There is no godly line, if the line of seth is so godly then how come Noah and his family were the only ones on the ark? I believe the sons of God are angels no other interpretation makes sense.
  • I believe a literal translation of this book is perfectly fine. Husbands are instructed to love their wife's like Christ loves us so the parallels between the beloved and the Church are easy to make. Romantic intimacy could be how Christ views the Church but I think he would use different imagery to describe it.

What does chapter 2 verse 6 say to you?
"His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me".

    And chapter 1 verse 4?
"Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers"

And to the comment below, I do not believe we have to ask God for mercy in order to understand the bible. In Romans Paul explains how the Holy Ghost as well as Jesus Christ intercedes for us.

"And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:23

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:26

"It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Romans 8:34

Life is not about how holy we are or who understands the bible the most. We were made to be loved by God and love Him back.
  • Ella on Exodus 34
What does the word, tenor, mean in 34:27? Is it saying for Moses to write the explanation of the 10 Commandments down. In other words, just writing the 10 Commandments in another way but the meaning is still the same. God wrote the 10 Commandments with His finger and it says, "for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel". The covenant is the 10 Commandments. Please, I would love to see your imput. Thank you.
  • Karen on Revelation 1:1
"he sent and signified it by his Angel". Why does everyone ignore this and then assume that the figure whom John see's is Jesus? From the plain text it seems that The Father gave the revelation to Jesus, who then relays it to John via his Angel. So when he says "I" he is not speaking of himself, but of God.
And the figure that is described is the angel, not Jesus. Can anyone explain this to me?
  • @Sister's comment on 5/26/2010, 2:12pm...
    According to this particular verse:

"But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such [cases]: but God hath called us to peace."
    (1st Cor. 7:15)

Sister, according to this specific verse, which the Apostle Paul speaks by permission... not of commandment, he is stating that if a spouse, who is an un-believer, willfully leaves a believing spouse, then the believing spouse is no longer bound to the sacred vows of that marriage.

Following up on that verse, Brother Paul also states, "Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife." (1 Corinthians 7:27)

Simply explained, Father God, would that no marriage would end in divorce; because it is really the slow death of the family unit.

But many of us fail to obey the divine will of Father God; and wind up taking the path of His permissive will.

Even in a marriage based on truly godly, righteous principles can end in divorce; if a man and a woman are not of the same mind, heart and spirit.

In choosing a mate, we must seek Father God with all of our heart, mind and soul; in order for Him to lead us to the right mate.

Next to salvation... marriage is, by far, the most important decision that a person will make in their lifetime.
