  • A disciple on Leviticus 10
The LORD doesn't just say things for no reason, but truthfully and directly according to what He sees. From verse 9 it seems obvious that Aaron's two older sons were drinking, and not in their clear minds or having a clean heart; for when the fire of God came down and consumed the sacrifice, that they came rushing in to "add to the show." Who knows what they were thinking, but drunken foolishness?

So I am confused. In Chap 1 V 27 it clearly states that God created mankind, this was done on the 6th day. Then Chap 2 V 7, it clearly says He created a man (which occurred AFTER the 7th day (which He rested) So probably on the 8th day he created man from dust. So did He create people before Adam and Eve?

  • Irene123 on Matthew 5
John 16:33; Matthew 5:45; Acts 7:59; 16:23; These refer to tribulation (trials) in this life. There will be 'some' saints in Revelation 13:7 who will go thru the GREAT tribulation; I haven't r'cvd. clarification on that yet. I KNOW tho' that I will not be one of them because they become saints DURING the GREAT tribulation; how? I don't know; I just take it by faith. A saint NOW will be raptured.

  • A disciple on Acts 1
"The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which he was taken up," For anyone that likes Biblical History; Who was Theophilus? By the meaning of his name many have guessed it was symbolic, as for ALL "Lovers of God." Actually he was High Priest when Luke wrote his Books; which then also gives meaning to how he wrote the Forewords.
  • Irene123 on Acts 18
I never saw this before, the connection between this and 1 Cor.1:1 - Sosthenes. In Acts 17:18 which happened before Cor. 1:1, he was a priest in a Jewish synagogue. V. 13 - " ... and so doth Marcus my son." We know Peter was married (Matthew 8:14; Mark 1:30) so I just wonder if this was his issue or a 'spiritual' son? We know Paul was not married, nor was he a hypocrite as some on here with deviate minds affirm, and that Timothy was his 'spiritual son. God did NOT use hypocrites to write His word.

  • Irene123 on John 3
To be born again - one is born naturally as a physical body. To be born again is a spiritual birth. It happens when you follow Acts 2:38, (note v. 37 where, after Peter's very first message in Jesus new church, the people ask, " ... what must we do?"). Then, all the 'letters' after Acts are instructions to the new churches that have already followed Acts 2:28 on how to live a faithful life.
