  • Visalia Lopes. on Revelation 22:7
BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO KEEP THE WORDS OF PROPHECY IN THIS BOOK!!!!!
IS THE MESSIAH SPEAKING OF HIS SABBATHS?
  • Timothy Wayne George on Luke 21
Re: Doubting Thomas, Do you believe that Jesus
Christ was born of the Virgin Mary? Do you believe that Caesar Augustus proclaimed all the world to be taxed? It is true the synoptic gospels are Matt, Mark, and Luke. The Bible is the verbal plenary inspired word of God. Written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. The King James was translated by 47 scholars of King James I in 1611, and is the oldest copy of the word of God. Paul said in I Cor.13 we see thru a glass darkly, but when he that is perfect shall come, we will know as we are known. All of the questions about the Bible will be answered when we are face to face with Jesus. Jesus came into this world to save man from his sin. He died on the cross, was buried, and the third day he rose from the grave. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, from which He will come again to judge the living, and the dead. Thank God that He gave you the Bible to study. Jesus said to search the scriptures, for these are they that testify of me. The Holy Spirit takes the word of God, and makes the scriptures real. If you have not received Jesus as your Savior, then you do not have the Holy Spirit abiding in you. Ask Jesus to come into your heart, and save you. He will, then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the veracity of the scriptures will be made known to you. So pray to the Lord: Ask, seek, and knock. The door will be opened for you. We are praying for you to make that decision. When Thomas put his hands into the nail prints of the Lord's side, he said my Lord, and my God. Jesus said blessed are you because you have seen. We are more blessed because we believe, and have not seen. When Jesus comes back, we will see Him as He is, and we shall be like Him.
  • Garyloyd on Revelation 3
Someone told me Rev.3:10 was where they get to fly away. This verse is speaking of the "elect". They escape because they were sealed with the truth and didn't bow down to instead of Christ, or antichrist. This is not speaking of a church someone belongs to. It is an example of a great church to attend. But God`s set a side ones, "Church" will be here. All will changed in a twinkle of an eye. The Lord Jesus only comes at the LAST TRUMP! When antichrist gets here just pinch yourself, hurt, your flesh. If Gods Chosen children are going to be here to stand against satan as it is written how can the rapture people think they will fly? They say, why we don't have to read Gods Revelation we`ll all be gone. Yup! You will be gone if you don't read Gods words.
  • Faith Matsuoka on 1 Thessalonians 5:3
It seems to me, as I study, that "Peace and Safety" will come after a time of war. And I feel that it will be when the Anti-Christ comes on the scene and promises it. And then the Tribulation begins. What do you think?
  • Doubting Thomas on Luke 21
    RE: Timothy Wayne George

Matt: 24 and Luke: 17 are just a retelling of Mark: 13. That is why these Gospels are called the synoptic Gospels, because they are seen together. The majority of Luke and Matthew are from the Gospel of Mark. These Gospels are attributed to these disciples, but were NOT written by them.

Luke: 17 is BEFORE Luke: 21, so the description of "end times" events preceded the declaration by Jesus that ďVerily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled".

This proclamation did not take place. The "generation" did pass away.

How can this logically be explained?
  • Doubting Thomas on Genesis 1
    Bernice,

If we are to believe this creation account, why do they differ? Donít you and I deserve the truth?

Genesis 1 says that BOTH Man and Woman were created simultaneously.

Genesis 2 says that Woman was "created" by God from Adams rib because "but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him".

All I am asking is why? Why is this a contradiction? We have 2 different accounts. If one is true then the other must be false. Since one must be false, then we have a issue with any claim of inerrancy.
  • Doubting Thomas on Matthew 2
But why don't these two birth narratives (the only ones that we have) match? They are totally different. They cannot be logically reconciled. If you harmonize these two Gospels, then you have created your own gospel, which would be a heresy.

The author's of the Gospel of Luke and Matthew (hint, they were not disciples) birth narratives contradict.

Why is that? Maybe if the authors of the Gospels could keep their stories from contradicting there wouldn't be doubters.
  • Joe Moriarty on Jeremiah 6:26
Hi: Whereas God's people is Israel, who, specifically is the "daughter of My people?" I find definitions like "female offspring" but, find no elaboration concerning this in any commentaries.
    Thanks, Joe
  • Garyloyd on 1 Thessalonians 4
Chris you will be here. But this is where we will all be,earth. Jesus is headed here at the 7th trump but first there is a tribulation for 5 months. Satans evil spirit will be strong for 2 and a half months setting up things in a one world system, controlling things and setting things up. Then the Nations come together in a treaty of some kind, peace most likely, but one of the big shots, political, or a ruler of a country pulls out and it looks grim, the deadly wound is healed by this one that shows up and with his powers that he shows the whole world people think he is a god. All the churches, christian, muslim, and all the rest, a great falling away to chase this man who they think is there god, not our God. We wait for the true Lord Jesus, our true husband with our Gospel Armor on. That's why I worry about the fly away doctrine, people being told they don't have to read Revelation because " we will all be gone!" I heard that garbage growing up but then I learned the word and found out that in Daniel the vile one takes over in peace and flatteries and God shorten the time to a 5 month period in Revelation 9 for the elect sake. The deeds/program or what will occur in the seals will still be the same. So, why are they flying? This man of sin who is playing an acting role of trying to be Jesus and being a man of peace? Even thoe he is death and wants your soul to died. This man of death sits on the throne and wants Mother, Father,Sister,Brother, anyone who is one of the elect that will not bow down to him to be delivered up by their family member to him which is to say death who is the devil antichrist which translated is instead of Christ. It is written, and woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days. What is being said is them that married, jump in the sack with the wrong husband or whored and married the devil and when they see the true Christ and Husband come they hide their faces in shame and wish the rocks would falls on them because they don't want to face Our Lord Jesus because they went chasing or running with the devil, like a whore. To give suck means to help work the system of satans one world system. Don't buy or sell nothing. Have at least 3 months of food on hand when you see the season. I almost make it a habbit when summer draws near. The Locust come May through Sept and its a good chance that it will happen in that time frame. But just watch and pray fro guidance and study the word.
  • Doubting Thomas on Mark 16
The earliest copies of this Gospel end at 16:8. Everything else (16:9-20) was added at a later date possibly a scribe. This has been determined by textual criticism (see Bart Ehrman).

So how can it be inerrant if a scribe (or someone) added text to this Gospel?
  • Doubting Thomas on Matthew 2
Luke says that Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem (being great with child). Matthew says that they already lived in Bethlehem. Which story is correct?

The Shepherds appear in Luke and in Matthew itís the Magi. Which is story correct?

In Matthew, Joseph takes his family to Egypt and in Luke they go to Jerusalem and then return to Galilee. Which story is correct?

Matthew and Luke are the only Gospels with the birth narrative. They do not agree. Why would that be?

Isnít the Bible supposed to be inerrant?
  • Sanaa on Matthew 1
In Matt 1 says 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

where in the new testment where any one call Jesus( Emmanue)l? it tell us in 23 this was to be his name. and after the angle of the lord came to josph and told him what the child name will be called why in 25 he went on to call him Jesus? (jesus is a greek name right?)
ps i'am not asking the meaning of Immanuel.

25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
  • The Zi - NO! - ist on Genesis 1:27
This passage (Gen.1:27) clearly states that the Most-High created man, both MALE and FEMALE, both sexes created at the same time. This is uniform across all translations. But then, in the very next chapter it seems Man needs a helper\mate\buddy, this according to God. So God took a rib from man and made woman (womb-man). Now the obvious question would be why did God have to create woman from mans rib? It says in chapter 1 that God made boys and girls in his likeness already, RIGHT?!!

Now, I don't think a contradiction of this magnitude somehow just slipped by the countless revisions, clarifications, translations etc. It's clear that a distinction exists between the male and female versions of Man in chapter 1 and Man & Woman, Husband & Wife in chapter 2.

Also, the first appearance of the names "Adam" and "Eve" aren't consistent across translations, some chapter 1, others chapter two, but their usage is peculiar regardless of translation.

I think these discrepancies indicate a period of time, an age or procession maybe, or possibly an entire cycle of man, evolving from the primitive to the impressive, to the over-inflated ego having, vile pollution emitting, truth impaired, soul-less, thieving drones that God takes pleasure in obliterating. Y uh-know... that kind of cycle.

It's a theory that is consistent with Genesis already, just adding a couple more periods that Topper didn't feel like going into, so he just left a couple hints. I think Adam may refer to a genetic distinction or new breed of man, hence the reason he had no Eve at first. Another theory is that there are two different entities (different in depth of consciousness, abilities, potential etc.) both occupying the Earth, both assigned fleshy vehicles that are the body of man, constructed in the likeness of the gods or in the image of God if you prefer.

What do you think? Or do you....
  • Fazalgul on John 3:16
Yes, but who decides to change the bible, if it is the word of god, why are they still changing it to suite their needs?
  • Doubting Thomas on Luke 21
This Gospel says that Jesus said " Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled".
The prophesy did not happen! I know the apologists can twist this around, but the fact remains (as written in Luke 21) that this prophetic event did not take place. So, if Jesus did not know, what does that tell you?

    Think about it.
  • Nellie on Mark 9
Why do some versions eliminate versus 44 and 46? Is it a sin to do so?
  • Wes on Proverbs 2:16
Are you kidding? That is the Word of God. He doesn't lie! This woman/habitation of devils almost killed me and high jacked my daughter for 12 years of occultic hell. I wished I had obeyed my instinct to put her down. But God prevailed, and I had to blow my engine (nervous breakdown) to stifle what the word says are brute beasts needling to be destroyed! May You always prevail Lord, this is a spiritual battle...pls party for Shannon and Kaelynn! GB
  • Timothy Wayne George on Genesis 7
The important thing to remember about the commands that were given to Noah,is that he obeyed all that God had commanded him to do, from gathering the animals two of each kind, to building the ark. Eight souls were saved because of Noah's obedience to the word of God. Noah was righteous, because in faith he believed, and acted according to the commands of God. We too must be like Noah, and believe that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except by Him. God is not going to destroy the world with a flood next time, but with fire. II Peter 3 tells about this, and God is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. Who has believed the report? To whom shall the arm of the Lord be extended? Without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to Him must believe that He is, and will reward those who diligently seek Him. So let us not try to understand all of the particulars, but let us obey the commands.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Isaiah 46
While we were in our mother's womb, for nine months, it was God who was carrying us. Even to our old age, and the gray hairs of our head, God is the one who delivers us. Who is like unto God? He declares the end, from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done. God is the only one who can save us in trouble, and not idols. Therefore we must be careful not to turn to idols of gold, and silver for they cannot save in the day of trouble. Many people are storing up treasures for the last days, and the bible tells us that they will be casting their gold, and their silver in the streets. The Lord is a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who trust in Him. God has given us Genesis to Revelation, and we know that in the end Jesus Christ will rule and reign. The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God's salvation shall not tarry, for He will place His salvation in Zion, for Israel his glory. No nation that goes against Israel is going to prosper. The reason God has blessed America, is because we have stood with them, and I pray we will continue to stand with them in the days to come. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Only Jesus the Prince of peace will be able to bring lasting peace to the whole world. Even so come Lord Jesus amen.
  • Doubting Thomas on Genesis 7
If the Bible is the inerrant word of God, then why are there contradictions between Genesis 6 & 7?

Gen 7:2-3 says clean beasts & fowl are to be taken by sevens. Gen 6:19 says to take two of everything.

Which is it? Even if this is true, both can't be right.
  • Timothy Wayne George on 1 Peter 3
Praise God for Sara, obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. She is an example of the wife with a meek, and quiet spirit. Husbands are to dwell with their wives according to knowledge, giving honor unto them as the weaker vessel, and as joint heirs of the grace of life, so that our prayers will not be hindered. We were called to inherit a blessing. We must refrain our tongue from speaking evil, and not render railing for railing, instead blessing. Always be ready to give an answer to those who question us of the hope that is in us, by sanctifying the Lord God in our hearts. Who can harm us, if we be followers of that which is good? Christ hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, to bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. It is the will of God that we should suffer for well doing, and not as evildoers. Christ is now seated at the right hand of God in heaven, where angels and authorities and powers are subject unto Him. One day we will be with Him. So let us run with patience this race that is set before us, looking unto to Jesus, the author, and finisher of our most holy faith.
  • Garyloyd on 2 Thessalonians 2
I do believe that the antichrist that will be here de-facto in his cherubim form, just a manÖform but has super natural powers given to him to perform his acting role and that acting role will be in flatteries and peace to fool the world. So yes, these preachers have lied and the Christians have been fooled listening to them. Just look at the rapture folks out there who think they will fly away? Them and the snake handlers down in the south getting bit by snakes. Religions have really lied to people. Count the trumps to seven. Satan comes on the 6th and there is a falling away first at that 6th trump where everyone that sees this New Religion and the apostacy, fallling away from the Christian churches and they quit taking communion because they think Jesus Christ is here sitting on the throne, but its not Him, its "instead of christ" meaning antichrist. So yes they have been duped and fooled.
  • Henry Dansereau on 1 Corinthians 6
What is Paul warning us here? Dare anyone go to the law. When you go to the law you are a fornicator, adulterer, etc, etc. The church again misses the gospel, and tries to get people to obey the law. I do not sin and cannot sin. How is this possible? Read Romans 4:15
  • Doubting Thomas on Genesis 1
Gen 1:26 "Let us make man in our image, our likeness"? "Our" & "Us" are the possesive and objective form of "We"! This means more than one! Why?

    AND

Why is there another creation story in Gen 2:4-25. These accounts are not in the same order.

Honestly answer these questions. Why are there two different accounts of the same event? Why two accounts in the first place?

Even if you believe, that makes one of these accounts wrong. Therefore the Bible in not inerrant.

So, what else could be in error?
  • Cindy on Titus 1
Thank the Lord for instruction. I am so glad that we are not left to rule however we'd like, we have guidelines to use. On another note let's please remember that none of are above sin and all of us have not always been completely right with God so when someone admits to having been backslidden and has reconciled with God there isno need to throw that back in their face. I admire the honesty of this dear sister in Christ and God is pleased with her honesty. We are to confess our sin and ask forgiveness, right?
  • HARRY ALLISON on Proverbs 8
I CANNOT PUT LIMITATIONS on JESUS.HE IS SPIRIT,not limited by time or space.SINCE HE is "ONE"and unlimited by time and space ,is it possible JESUS could be laying HIS LIFE DOWN FOR ME ,walking on the water, healing blind BARTIMAEUS,and saying,"LET THERE BE LIGHT",all at the same moment?(food for thought)
  • K Clark on Genesis 12
Where did Pharaoh and the Egyptians come from? Back in Chapter 7, they were all wiped away, and there seems to be an extensive geneology in Chs 8 to 11, so where did all these Egyptians, including a Pharaoh!!!, and advanced society suddenly arise from???????
  • Wessy on Ecclesiastes 6
Its gud 2 serve him with our wealth. He is the Jehovah jireh; our provider. Why do we want blessings and not the blesser? I will serve him with all my wealth!
  • Mark on Luke 2
    Response to previous comments.

The problem here is the same problem that has existed since the time of Christ.

The Bible tells us that it is the actual Word of God, yes written by human writers, but inspired and breathed out by God Himself. How do we know this to be true? For those of us who are truly christians, we have a personal relationship with God, through the Lord Jesus Christ.

No-one can tell me that this is a figment of my imagination, because it is a daily living experience and reality for me. Furthermore, no-one can tell me that the Bible is false, because I know the one who authored it and have proved it to be true in my daily life.

Of course, those who do not have this relationship with God will always mock and doubt, because they do not have the same personal experience. Sadly, the Bible says unless such individuals repent and turn to God now, they will have chosen to spend eternity away from God, in a place of hell.

Some will read this and laugh - doesn't matter to me, some will agree - it all depends of course where you stand before God. See John chapter 3 verse 16.

Grant who is your God then if not Jesus as you relied on Mark 13:32?
