Those who overcome will not have their names blotted out of the book of life (Revelation 3:5)

The Christian who is in Christ has overcome through his faith in Christ (1 John 5:4-5: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?).

It was Methuselhs granddaddy, Jared who only live 7 years less than his grandson.(962 years) Man, they lived a long time back then. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Eastward from where? Some say Africa but Africa would be south of Eden. On old maps of the Holy Land, it has a Eden(not sure if its the same). If its the same Eden it is eastward from the Holy Land.
  • Stanjett on Genesis 1
Why didn't God stop here, at the end of chapter 1 of Genesis? Well, maybe after He created Eve in the next chapter. There was no killings, we had plenty to eat and peace. Animals didn't eat man or each other and we didn't eat them or harm them. Animals and Adam ate vegetables and fruit. It was truely a Garden of Eden and a paradise.

  • One of the most controversial scriptures in the New Testament. As a volunteer media person working for Hal Lindsey this verse was the most quoted to support the "Rapture". I have learned since the rapture is a false teaching. This verse clearly stating the Jesus's second coming and nothing else. If you do a word study of the Latin word of rapture, you find it's true meaning is synonymous with "Levitate". Protestants are praying for levitation?? Another Pastor asked me before I repented about buying into the rapture logic, "You believe in the 2.5 returns of Jesus?" ... uh no. ... "As in the Noah, shall be the second of man." Life on earth before "God sealed the Ark" was pretty horrific. Do we really think we will be conveniently raptured levitated out. False teaching.

Will - is what the bible gives as God's name Yolanda's fault? If that scripture had said that his name was 'Joe' or 'Bob', I'm sure it would still be exciting to Yolanda and others to find out what he says his own name is.
  • Doyinsola on Esther 8
Esther was a purposeful and focused woman. She was privileged by divine favor to become a queen during her time and she did not disappoint God even at the expense of her own life. Thus, she was honored having a portion in the Bible we are reading today. We are where we are in order to fulfill God's purpose. Remember, you are already writing a book now. Will it edify like Esther?
  • Sharon Dutchak on Luke 19
Maryanne. This is a parable which is a earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Jesus is saying everyone is given one life. What are we doing with it? Are we keeping it to ourselves - in which case we gain nothing- or are we living for God and gaining spiritual rewards. It has nothing to do with men killing men

  • I Am that Michael Isaac Dale on Ecclesiastes 9
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? He mocks the sufferings of a child of GOD in the sight of my Holy Father. He speaks evil of this woman (my own blood,) not seeing that a pit is digged not for her, but him: her blood is on his hands. Nevertheless through envy of the devil came death into the world: and they that do hold of his side do find it.
  • I Am that Michael Isaac Dale on John 14
Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? (Except ye, being witnessed by many, know of them whom ye confess not.) It is written, Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. For the love of money is the root of all evil: Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

This has always disturbed me. What is the reason to make a man suffer so much, and kill so many? What does God gain from this, besides proving a point to Satan? I understand God gives Job more than what he had back, but I don't think it's worth the suffering. I would rather live in a nice house and be happy than live in a nicer house with PTSD and depression because everyone/thing I loved is gone.
