  • Lauraine on Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah 40v28 says Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is NO searching of HIS understanding..... verse 31, BUT they that wait, they that trust, they that lean, UPON the LORD SHALL renew their strength; they Shall mount up with wings as eagles; they Shall run and not be weary, and they SHALL walk and faint not...... what are we growing weary off? The Lord says in Jeremiah 31v25 For I have satiated the Weary soul and I have replenished every sorrowful soul... (whooo) HE is the ALMIGHTY GOD Who WE can put ALL our trust in, when all else fails TRUST HIM, he will lift you up.
  • Irene on Matthew 5:32
How about first defining the words "fornication" and adultery. In the old testament fornication is defined by *** before marriage, adultery is when a married person (note: a married person) has *** outside of their marriage.

So clearly Jesus can't be saying: if a man devorces his wife because she had *** outside of the marriage he is making her have *** outside the marriage. It was to be that if the man finds out his wife was not a virgin then he could devorce her. If not so than why would he be using two different words (fornication and adultery) to explain the reasons for devorce? I believe God wants to heal every marriage, even though adultery has occurred. Hit me back on what you think :-)
  • SARAH HOOVER on 1 Corinthians 13:1
what is the bible difference between the word "charity and the word Love?
  • Mark on Genesis 1
There are 9 verses in which JESUS says, My Father which is in heaven.

When Jesus prayed, who did he pray to? Himself or his father?
  • Timothy Wayne George on Galatians 4:4
Jesus was born is the fulness of time of a woman, the Virgin Mary as promised in Gen. 3:15, and He was subject to the Law. Thank God for Jesus, for He did not come to abolish the Law, but He fulfilled it, thereby becoming the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world. Until Jesus came, we were under the tutors, but now we are under grace. The two sons of Abraham represent two covenants. The first covenant is the Law, and the second covenant which is of promise, shed in His blood, is of grace. If we could be saved by keeping the Law, then Jesus Christ died in vain, but by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified in His sight. We are saved by grace, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which is a gift, not of works, less any man should boast. Jesus said ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. Jesus prayed in John 17:17 Sanctify them by thy Truth.
So brothers and sisters, don't try to be saved keeping the Law, for it is only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that we can be justified in His presence. As Paul told the Galatians have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth? Every Pastor should have that verse in his study to remind him of the Truth of the Word of God, and why we must be messengers to bear that Truth. It is not us they hate, but the Truth. Nevertheless, we must understand that the servant is no greater, than the Master, as Jesus said they hated Me, and they will hate you. May the Lord bless you richly my beloved.
  • Brad on Mark 9
Who is it that is now preaching the return of Jesus? Christians. The spirit of Elias returned in John the Baptist and he was not recognised. If Moses also returns, it will also be in spirit. Two candlesticks and two olive trees. Two spirits and two church bodies? Yet, the dead will also awake and be seen: some to everlasting life and others to everlasting shame and contempt. The person who said that fasting should not be mentioned in the verse about healing the child treats the bible as something he can bend to his will like the academics do when they deny it's truth. Rather than doubt it, pray to God to understand it.
  • Mark on Genesis 1
Who is the Father that Jesus speaks of which hath sent him? Is the Father God?

If the Father is God, Why did Jesus say Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape? If Jesus himself is God, speaking to them and standing with them in person, How could this verse be truth?

    JOHN 5,37
And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
  • Rhonda on Judges 19
The men that gang ****d her stated they knew of her..Was she some sort o prostitue to or was she the levites wife? I am a bit baffled about how the Levite cut her body up. She was dead already. Obviously he loved her but why not just bury her? Is that a sighn saying that she was such a harlot that she had all parts of Isreal...I am confused but seeking understanding!!!
  • Rhonda on Judges 7:2
I am finding the book of judges to be very meaningful and captivating. I want a little bit more understanding in regards to " And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.". Did God see that if he were to give the Medians over to Isreal who obviously were in greater numbers after the battle would Isreal become arrogant in ways and may become like their oppressors? Please advise..I am learning the bible whenever I can and I need a little more understanding on breaking terms down..Thanks
  • Bill Digby on Ezra 3:1
Ez. 3:1 The section that states they came to Jerusalem "as one Man" reminds me of Ps.133: which states that anywhere God sees unity he blesses. Also did the grant given by Cyrus provide the income they had to give?

  • Peter on John 14:6
God created the whole universe. Scientist say Big Bang created the whole universe.

God created man. Scientist say we evolved from apes. Then who created apes? Current answer is Big Bang!

    What happens when we die?

I believe in John 14:6, that Jesus is the Son of God.
  • Dennis on 1 Peter 4:18
We should all bear in mind, Saved from what. If one is SAVED what is he/she being saved from? If its from hell that implies we have free will. Mans will has always been to not want God. God has to do the saving, we have nothing to do with it. This is even Biblical.
  • Gift Eliwanse on Galatians 4:24
Abraham is the Bible Word sent into the world; Sarah and Agar are by revelation not people but figuratively are the TWO COVENANTS in the Bible.

Therefore, which of the two covenants are you born of? Gal.4:19-31.

Are you born of old carnally taught handwritten Bible Covenant/ordinances, writtenin black and white from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation, called the Letter OR are you born of the New Covenant Bible ordinances taught by the Spirit of God?

Sarah and Agar are NOT PEOPLE as presented by the OLD COVENANT BIBLE BUT ARE JERUSALEMS AND COVENANTS THAT ARE READ IN THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF GOD.
  • Paul Voudrach on 1 Thessalonians 4:16
We have to remember that God is not a God of confusion. Why was the second epistle to the Thesselonians written? Because of confusion. Yes the dead in Christ shall rise first then those who follow Christ by faith shall rise. Let us be filled in Christ and worry not because God has already established the Way for His saints.
  • Mark on Genesis 1
In the beginning, Did Jesus exist in spirit only with his father and then became flesh?

The bible says God's word became flesh.

Is God's word a spirit? and then became flesh?

In the beginning, Did Jesus exist in flesh with his father then became flesh again?

Did God turn himself into flesh and sacrifice himself?

The bible says God gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN son.

Was Jesus begotten in heaven or on earth?

Did Jesus exist in heaven before he was begotten?

We know God's word existed before Jesus because God's word became flesh and hence Jesus was begotten.

We know that God is able to speak hence we have God's word. And God's word did exist in the beginning.

When did God's word become flesh?

Did Jesus exist in spirit in heaven? If so, Was he then considered God's son at that time?

Was Jesus considered God's son at the time of begotten?

Why does the bible say God's word became flesh instead of God's spirit became flesh?
  • I Love Jesus on Romans 8:1
It says here for all who are "in Jesus" ALL sins are washed away and forgiven. Even ones you might backslide to apparently. Why? because "NO Condemnation" is a VERY final term and to nth degree. It trumps all others easily. Amazing grace literally! Thank you JESUS! He came not to condemn but save to all who take his glorious God sent saving and loving hand (John 6:37). It also adds later that whatever is not of FAITH is sin, and not to doubt.(Romans 14:22-23) Jesus also told us to have Faith in God. (Mark 11:22) Note: Jesus did have his own set of commandments. One of many being to love one another like he has loved us.
  • Roberta on Hebrews 11
Is it ok to seek a reward from God? Hebrews 11:6. Wow!
  • Arpi Jakab on Matthew 24:13
If you truly have a personal relationship with Jesus, you fear God, you trust in his promises; can you live a life of disobedience? Not possible. You follow because you are saved, you don't loose your salvation 'cause you don't follow. You can't follow, if you are not saved.
  • Lois V Harrison on Proverbs 4:26
I found this 'Proverb' in an old book - The Birthday Book Of Scripture, for April 14. I take its meaning as a past tense, asking us to examine our actions - cause - for understanding effect. An inventory of a path travelled. It has resonated a profound message to my writing, a memoir inspired by my late daughter, Lesley, born on April 14. Her life's purpose established at birth, that we (I) would find meaning in her path up to her death, and after. How do I understand? Maybe I won't, but I must nonetheless ponder, examine to let all her ways be established, marked. If one takes its meaning in purely present tense it negates purpose for self examination, (responsibility?) - a path travelled. Examining actions taken - history, can enlighten. Enlightenment impacts present and future. My little book attributes authorship to:
    1 Cor. xvi 14.
  • Thomas junkins on Ezekiel 9:6
God is God an he owns us all...We are His creations, He must have a reason to do this, prolly the sins were so bad, but today our sins are just as bad an how do we escape his wrath? He is that patient with us to wait and give us a chance to change an Honor Him,,,
  • 808Wahine on John 3
I agree that GOD has sent HIS Son for a purpose.Purpose being that we all should believe in HIM,it is stated clearly where it says "that whosoever BELIEVETH IN HIM." should not perish. it is HIS will for us all to believe in HIM and have everlasting life. It clarify's it in verse 36, where again it say's "He that Believeth on the SON shall have everlasting life." But does it mean if I hear about HIM and attend church on Sundays and go to Bible studies and do all the goody two shoe stuff to look holy n all, does that means I am exempt from being perish? Hello, I hope you don't think that just because you look Holy, act Holy and go Church mean that's all it is to be exempt from GODs wrath, cause Baby it's not. Who ever is saying it is lying to you, straight up. This verse say's you NEED to Believe in HIM not, do all the rituals. But to Believe in HIM. "to put your FAITH, your Hopes, Your Life in HIS Hands and TRUST that HE (who you cannot see) will HELP you through everything and anything. Read and Believe also in Proverbs 3:5-7. That is what Believing in JESUS is all about. Give your life to HIM and Let HIM lead you. That Was GOD's purpose for sending HIS only SON.
  • Roberta on 2 Thessalonians 1
Verse 6: It seems we should be careful who we trouble. God will recompense. Never noticed this verse before. Am I understanding this right?
  • I pray blessing on all those who read these comments, and even on the hole world.
My comment on this chapter; on verse 9, which speaks on Thessalonians turning from idols, and this is my response on that: We must all turn from our idols, for our God is a jealous God, says Exodus 20:5, and you might say to yourself, i don't have any idols; Well........Do you watch TV for more time than you pray to God?.........How much longer do you play video games, than you pray, (FOR THOSE WHO PLAY VIDEO GAMES) and my goodness think about how much more disciple, we have on ourselves for making money, than we have for doing God's will; Which if you look on the back of a dollar bill it says "in god we trust".....Whoa...What a statement. Do we trust in money, more than God? ......I mean, we'll even diet for our bodies, more than we'll fast, for God to give us his power to help others. ........ This is a real reality check for those of us who believe that we're idol free. satan is never going to show us, where, and how, he has us bound; it is on us, to judge only ourselves, and no one else. Children of God; Never think you are doing enough, but always go after more of God in your lives, no matter what level of spirituality you've reached; For the Bible says in Isaiah 64:6, that, our righteousness are as filthy rags
