  • John R. Whiteside on John 2
I think Jesus was protecting Mary by not calling her, "Mother." He knew what was coming and didn't want her to be hurt or possibly used to interfere with His Father's business. The story begins saying, "And the third day" meaning what? Maybe it was on the 3rd day of the marriage, out of wine, He was called because Mary told them He could make more wine. Obvious a lot had already been drank.
  • Lu2677 on Romans 2
Duke,Did you read Romans 2:1-13?Y,your confusion caused you to err.V.14 does not say they are not"required",it says they do not"have" the law,Gentiles did not have the law that the Jews had. They were able to do things according to the "law by nature" because of what v.15 says"shew the law that is written in their hearts, (by God) and their conscience bearing witness"repent of error against Paul.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1
Malcom, you asked,"how come the day and night was created before the sun and the moon.?" V.3"And God said, let there be light: and there was light." He spoke light into existence before he made the sun and the moon. Now read v. 4 and 5. And God does what pleases him, and he made all for himself. Amen

  • Irene123 on John 16
We shouldn't, as Christians, be on here to vilify anyone or their belief. There used to be an anachronism - WWJD? You saw it in lanyards, t-shirts, purses, everywhere. It seems we have rather forgotten about it. But it something we need to - remember. Jesus said, Be ye followers of me. He spoke to the Pharisees to 'try' to reach them - and He did reach a few of them, Acts 15:5.
  • Irene123 on John 8
Levell - Probably you won't understand this: Jesus being lifted up was His reference to His crucifixion. Then, in Acts ch. 1 He ascended to heaven; then Actsv2:37-38 (men and brethren, WHAT SHALLWE DO?) they began to realize, after Peter's message that they needed to turn to HIM for salvation. " ... be baptized in the NAME of Jesus Christ ... "; Acts 4:12 - for there is none other name ..."

The fourth kingdom sounds like USA...

And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, THEY shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
    Who are THEY...?

Jim: Yes, Unevenly Yoked in anything: But its mostly used for Marriage. Most believe They Will draw the other to Christ,But---? One Looks to The Light the other to Darkness. We can help the Lost. I will help anyone with almost anything, the Price: Hearing The Way of Salvation. I sometimes take them Fishing or invite for Supper. Sometimes One will go to Church.
  • April on Joshua 20
I will say that I don't think that its talking of just enemies, but ANY person, who in your heart you were not SEEKING out to ever harm them nor ever intended to,something happend to cause their death and it was not meant to be ON PURPOSE,so I think it goes beyond your enemies, for enemies would be,I'd think you have beef with, other wise why r they your enemy?accidents do happen,God is just and fair.
  • SabbathkeeperandWife on Revelation 7
Think about this- why didn't anyone that Jesus raised from the dead speaking about heaven OR complaining about having to come back here? All the seals and Trump's are progressive through the ages. The show is over at the last trump when Christ decends with a shout. With the voice of the archangel. Ecclesiastes says when you're dead you know nothing. Resurrection is at last trump according to God
  • April on Joshua 18
Shalome!,I will say I have a heard time pronouncing some of these names,I don't know how these names were pronounced correctly,or how they said it back then, like certain letters were pronounced differently I'm sure,so alot of the time I just guess, but I do want to know what I'm saying, out of respect to the names given unto these places, like a person, would you care if someone said your name wrong?.
  • April on Joshua 14
Shalome,All,I was wondering I see many commentary in these passages but I was curious, has anyone tried to have a relationship with GOD and Jesus?,like ask them how their day is going, try to converse with them like you would a friend?,they want friendship with us,and most make them out to be tyrants, even the believers, they are JUST and FAIR and LOVE us,we were made to have a companionship with them
  • Lu2677 on Job 2
Irene 123,Surprised?You are surprised at something you yourself wrote"It's very depressing" "in a negative way".These are your words,in addition to your question. You made a judgment and you are unable to accept it.As you said"it is as I intended".
No confusion,if there is judgment I can determine it's justification. You assume I look for judgement, and my walk is like yours, you assume much.
  • Lu2677 on Job 2
Irene 123,I did not quote Job 7:3 with a bad motive or in the context of my physical situation. My post was answering how long Job suffered his affliction, asked earlier by someone. You judged it as "negative".You judge God's word as "depressing." Do you always give the outcome of every verse you quote?Almost impossible to do with the limit of letters we are allowed here.Your post is negative.
  • Irene123 on Job 2
LU2677 - are you in great physical/emotional pain? Otherwise why would you quote Job 7:3? It's very depressing if you don't bring out Job's end in all of this .....; we shouldn't use the word of God in a negative way.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3
Christine - God bless you for your questions. He knew before you asked them - that you wanted to know these things. But the answers to THESE won't save you. Salvation is the most important 'question - Acts 2:37, " men and brethren, what shall we do?" then Peter answered them in the next verse .....; in the name of Jesus Christ, just as in Matthew 28:19, ".....Baptizing them in the NAME of .....
  • Lu2677 on Deuteronomy 28
Bruce, did you answer my question about what verse says Christ is "born" in someone, as you said?
Ephesians 2:8 I believe this verse, do you? (My salvation is great, a gift from God by His grace, through faith.) Are you going to continue to rebuke me concerning "words" "day, date"? As you said the date is not important. If you want to continue in your slanderous post go ahead, for me; Case closed.
  • Lu2677 on 1 Corinthians 14
I believe that Paul writes the commandments of the Lord. V.37. Do any of you here attend a church that tells women to be silent during times of learning during fellowship? Do any women here obey this commandment? V. 34.
