  • A disciple on Numbers 27
Hi Irene; What the daughters of Zelophehad were saying to Moses, was that their father was not a part of the wicked rebellion of Dathan, Abiram, and Korah; (which was as it were, a high-water-mark of the intense envy, hostility and unbelief generally in the whole Nation of Israel); and that "he died in his own sins," I take to mean, generally, as we all have sinned. Does that help?
  • A disciple on Luke 17
Peter; from the examples used by the Lord here; who were the ones remaining? not the wicked, but the saved! Only Noah, and they that were with him in the ark were left after the cataclysm. Of all those who lived in the cities of the plain, on the south shore of what is now the Dead Sea; only Lot and his family escaped the overthrow of fire and burning sulfur. Read Matthew 13; the evil are removed.
  • A disciple on John 11
This is an open invitation to everyone on this site, who believes they have a strong knowledge of the Bible: Where is it written, that we are to only accept Jesus as our personal Saviour, and ask Him to come into our lives? I say that this a false teaching, not based on the Glad Tidings preached by Jesus, the prophets or apostles; but one made up by modern impostors in the churches. Please answer!
  • April on 1 Samuel 3
When I think of all the scriptures pertaining to listening to GOD,he is our FATHER and like our parents in this life on Earth they have tried to get us NOT to do certain things or want us to OBEY,and GOD IS our FATHER,and when we don't listen there IS consequences for our actions,a grounding of some sort,or we are led astray,he is our FATHER,do we harken to our parents,if not will we to GOD?Amen.
  • Bruce on Philippians 1
Lu: your question is just a little ambiguous? In The Body, there are multitudes of different people brought up differently. They eat different foods, dress differently. But there's Only One Body,One Savior,One Way. Different Beliefs not ok. / in the churches, are many, many multitudes. That build their belief around Their Sins. The more oks! The better they feel./ Only The Blood of The Lamb Saves.

  • Irene123 on Numbers 27
Numbers 26:3 - states that Manasseh died in his own sin; I went to 'Got Questions', but they didn't even mention a sin. I wonder what it was. I'm 'almost' sure it can be figured out if we really study on Korah and then following Manasseh's story, but to save ME the trouble - I th'ot maybe someone else might know ..... ?
  • Irene123 on Numbers 24
Numbers 14-25; God used Balaam, a wicked prophet, to prophesy of the Messiah - Jesus Christ!! God can, and does, to this day, use sinners to prophesy (witness) of Him. What I don't understand is-why was Balaam, a prophet of God, living in Moab - at the time Israel settled in Canaan ..... ???
  • April on 1 Samuel 1
I do remember reading in a prior book and other books throughout the bible, speaking on the part of promising something to God and or other people and if you break that promise it is considered a sin,it is better to not promise something with thy lios then to promise something and not follow through, father follows through his words, question is do we? I made a promise to God I am going to keep it!

Hmm,so I wonder, why didn't they seek GOD on what to do 4 finding wives for the house/tribe of Benjamin?,they asked if they should keep going after them in earlier chapters or cease,so why did they think kidnapping women was the answer during that time?,I get vs25 and all but,how they could seek GOD for help then, but not for that moment is beyond me,I don't always get things that happen n Bible...

lu2677: FEAR, is for the lost, the unsaved, one who is doing wrong. When a person is Saved,All fear is going. The fear of Dying,of Judgment,of---? There is no fear in love but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath Torment. • Lu2677 on Joshua 14
Hi April,I contend for the truth of who God is; His works,His faith,His love, His judgments.Typically most "preachers"of our day want to keep their pay check (hirlings) so they do not teach the whole counsel of God. All inspired scripture is given for reproof, correction, instruction. If Knowing all sides of God;wrath, hate, testing,"does not help people"why do you think he had it all written down?
  • Michael on Luke 11
When jesus says Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. He is talking about Meditation, that is how one enters in one self. as he says in Matthew 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God", and repeats 5 times in this sequence, "Take No Thought". for where is the Kingdom of god? Luke 17:21. Within you.
  • ChrisC607 on 2 Corinthians 4
Am I the only one that has a severe issue with how many different versions of one small paragraph there are? Who gives anyone the right to manipulate the words of the Bible itself? Why do we accept corporations that are profiting from the sales of Bibles changing the words? Humans are blind to the truth and his ways. Judge not, yet so quick to point fingers. Follow his guidance, or idolize a book?
  • Lu2677 on Jeremiah 30
Jeremiah 30:14 for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with a chastisement of a cruel one". Jeremiah 30:15 "Why criest thou for thine afflictions; thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity(sin) because thy sins were increased,I have done these things to you."(God wounds, cruel one,He increased their sins) Some say"He's not cruel, doesn't hate, doesn't change.Does he change?
  • Irene123
Child, cont. - He doesn't want us to come to partial knowledge; that would be respect of persons. So since (not 'if') he wants us to know everything, why then would He withhold some of it from us ..... ? That's cruel, and God is LOVE, not cruel.

  • Lu2677 on 1 Samuel 28
Irene, you said on this discussion page that Satan held the souls from entering heaven that were born before Christ's ascension. I asked for verse to prove it. Is this what you were searching for when you mentioned in on Psalms 19 page?
  • Lu2677 on Jeremiah 19
Irene 123, Read my post again please. I did not say you used Jeremiah 19:9, I am using it and I asked you if you thought he made him eat their children because he hated them? The CONTEXT of this verse is that God's wrath was on them. And I do not see "had no food" in this chapter. So, can you accept correction that He does hate sinners? V.9"I will cause them to eat the flesh of their children.
