  • Bruce on Acts 25
Satan never asked permission, he never mentioned Job. The Lord said unto him, Satan has thou considered myself Servant Job---? Job 1:8
  • Irene123
Michelleann cont. - One needs the Holy Spirit indwelling in them (Acts 2:38) for the power (strength) to acquire the peace of God that passeth ALL understanding. One prays everyday after being saved for a fresh infilling of God's spiritual gifts; we don't just pray one time for them. To have the power of His spirit in you, you HAVE to follow Acts 2:38. V, 37 - "what must we do?"
  • Mike on 1 Timothy 2
The scripture is plain clear. Public teaching of women where men are present is what the Apostle Paul is talking about. There's lots of work for a woman in the Church. Only this one is reserved for men. Must we argue with God?
  • Patricia Balla on Psalms 42
This psalm means the world to me.
When my son was diagnose with stage 4 colon cancer at age 32 ,
I had shared the news to 3 personal good friends . They all said to me " where is your God ???" Your always perching to us !!!
I was floored ! Instead of receiving
Compassion from them . Father God put words in my mouth to respond to them ! He told me to say " He's right here with me !"
  • All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, says the LORD: I will set him in safety from him that puffs at him. To set up on high those that be low: that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off: but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. Now will I rise, says the LORD: now will I be exalted: now will I lift up myself. Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Behold your God!
  • Michelleann Juarez on Ephesians 4
The verse about not laying down with anger in my heart is so very hard for me.Especially when others hurt me.Or someone I love or just any injustices against those whom can not defend themselves. How do you overcome this any advice?
  • Irene123 on Psalms 119
To Katapalca - I think maybe the 'consistency' of David's references to the word, law, judgments in almost every verse in this whole Psalm is what you were referring when you said, "..... always turning to the word ..... ? It's a GREAT Ps., isn't it? I'm sure very few people notice the consistency character of it. I did just now as I re-read it just before sending you this.
  • Irene123 on John 10
To Stephanie - Were you talking to me .....? Because you didn't use the "123" - I can't be sure, nor could I find any name of Irene or Irene123 in the back comments of this chapter. If you were I wish I remembered what I said to make you think I don't attend ch. enough,
  • Johnny Ross Botleng on Exodus 20
What sabbath is the law refer to? The seventh day of the weekly? is it continue to this days?
  • Tami on Hebrews 7
From my understanding, Hebrews is not meant for gentiles. Have to be very careful what you're reading and what dispensation it is. Do gentiles understand what tithing is and how often it was actually done?
(I'm by no means an expert on the scripture but I do follow some well-studied teachers.)
  • Seven Trumpets on Daniel 4
I looked up "Esdras" in Wikipedia, since I didn't want to spend the time actually reading in it; and what I read, I didn't like. It apparently has some so-called visions of Ezra, and him asking questions of God; which in my opinion don't match up to the kind of man of God Ezra really was. For example; how could he think that misery and punishment is unjust for a people who obstinately refuse God?
  • Irene123 on Daniel 4
The books of Esdras; I wonder if that's what the witch of Endor used ....... ?
  • Bruce on 1 John 2
Eliiah:Jesus is alive in the flesh. Where in the Bible is that found ?
  • Bruce on 1 Peter 3
Marta: the statement you made, where did that come from? I never heard of that one.
  • Brenda on 1 Corinthians 9
I don't understand how Paul could ask the question; "Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord?" I didn't read about Paul until Acts. By the time the book of Acts was written, Jesus had already been crucified. Paul was on the scene when Stephen was stoned to death in Acts 7:58.
  • Seven Trumpets on Genesis 22
Genesis 22:20 "And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;" An ineresting part "after these things..." because it shows us something, that many of us feel often, as Christians in the world. How many times have we had great experience in God, and after to meet some who seemed only sent to "one up" us?
  • Seven Trumpets on Genesis 10
    Genesis 10:25
"And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan."
How was the earth divided? Was it only in the languages, and every family to their own borders? Also, as to the point that Peleg was named in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus; are we to draw some teaching about Christ being the cause of division?
  • Hank Clemens on John 3
I would encourage everyone to meditate on John 3. Are You born again? The spiritual birth opens our understanding, eyes to see ears to hear. The natrual birth while we had eyes and ears in the womb until birthed we did not see or hear. Many are not born again in the church let alone the world. They both are a struggle coming out of the womb and then the spiritual birth coming into Christ Jesus.
  • Anne hathaway bob hairstyle on 1 Corinthians 14
Hi, Neat post. There's a problem along with your site in internet explorer, may test this? IE nonetheless is the marketplace chief and a good part of folks will miss your wonderful writing due to this problem.
  • Irene123 on Ephesians 2
    To J. Cardoza - You do include Ephesians 2:10 with vs. 8-9 ....... ?
  • Brianna on Deuteronomy 4
Vs. 4 Seems almost like a contradiction with this translation. I have to agree with Nkosilathi's thought. Was capital LORD originally written or was the Divine Name "YAHWEH" OR "JEHOVAH" written?
  • Lynn Torregano on Habakkuk 2
In the book habakkuk chapter two verse 2 question if I wanted to write the letter in verse to my prayer closet is the bathroom what I write a letter stick it in the bathroom or write a letter and put it in my Bible or write a letter and put it up?
  • Bruce on Matthew 8
Carmen are you saying, If we went to a priest, God will forgive our sins. Or, God will forgive us for going to a priest?
  • Bruce on Romans 1
Tony:Yes it will. Years back pastors and others would be out inviting people to church, talking about the Lord and the Bible, it was common and accepted. People would receive 4- 12 visits a month from four different churches, plus JW. Today 0-5 maybe! Mostly JW. When "June" happened, shocked, total disbelief?!??!? GOD "did" bless U.S.A the Night cometh, when no man can work
  • Bruce on Galatians 1
Irene?:12:Neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Never saw the apostles, went to Arabia, then Damascus.V:17. ( Let's just stay in The B-I-B-L-E ) 2nd time) "Called" John 6:44--,1 John 1:9--, "Will" be Baptized with the Holy Ghost and, Fire. "You will know"! 2 Corinthians 5:17. Impossible not to know.
  • Mara

My comment and question about Genesis Chapters 1 and 2 is that there seems to be a contradiction between the two chapters. In Genesis 1, it says God created the animals first, then "male and female He created them" in Genesis 2, God created Adam, then the animals, hoping to find Adam a helpmeet, then created Eve. Can anyone explain this contradiction?

  • Irene123 on 1 Samuel 17
To B. K. Miller - Also, angels are Spirits; they cannot reproduce. I've seen this question on here many times from different men - never from a woman. As to giants; really now how big does a giant have to be? The Israelites were and are a relatively short people, like their 'brothers' the Ishmaelites. And look at f'ball and basketball men. They are giants.
  • Irene123 on Hebrews 7
To Bitts Bajj - The tithe of the O.T. remains the same in the N.T. If we as church members give our tithes to the homeless, to worldly charities; how are our churches to support themselves - the monthly utilities, the repairs from storms or vandals, the normal repair from wear 'n tear?
Malachi 6:7-8. And - the laborer is worthy of his hire, Pastors included. The pastors pay tithes too.
  • Bruce on Galatians 1
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be giving him from heaven.
You saying, there was no church or no Gentiles, received it in a different way, different kind of gospel. Where does it come from??? All 12 Paul received the same Spirit. We can to:John 6:44,1 John 1:9,Baptized with the Holy Ghost and Fire:Matthew 3:11, changed:2Corinthians5:17( you will know impossible not to know
  • Eliiah on Psalms 13
Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge. He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? says the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? says the LORD. Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us? There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. I AM THAT I AM:
