  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 15
Peter; Are we supposed to think then, that when we truly repent and change, when we are really converted, and God says He forgives us and has taken away our sins and makes us new creations in Christ; that He doesn't really forgive, and He still punishes? What about the responsibility of the actual doers of the evil, i.e. his sons? Is it all on David because they are ungodly, and practice sin?
  • Jacob Ameh Sani on 1 Corinthians 12
"...a more excellent way" is love. Love typically is burdens bearing that reliefs others of their challenges. Burdens bearing is living a life that comforts and inspires others. Being the hands of Jesus Christ to your world is one of the pointers to living inspiring and comforting life. The hallmark of Christianity is the more "excellent way". What speed do you tread the more excellent way daily?
  • A disciple on Ezekiel 13
"Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?" When we are all brought before the Judgment Throne at the last day, what will we answer Him who knows us and all our ways? What will become of us by all that we have believed and said, if our doings made us other than what He commanded? And when He sent to speak to us, we shook our head?
  • A disciple on Matthew 2
About a month or so ago there were a few people trying to talk about this chapter. And as usually happens, I've noticed; one person says one thing, someone answers or corrects, and the one is offended, and gets unfriendly. Then everyone drops out of the conversation and goes to start the same thing over another passage of Scripture! What happened to "Blessed are the poor in spirit.. the meek..etc?
  • A disciple on Matthew 24
"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." What must they have wrong, that with all this time for spiritual growth and preparation, they should only prove bereft of grace to stand in the day of adversity?
  • A disciple on Galatians 1
Lu2677; I'm sorry; I didn't mean any offence; and I don't think it was going "carnal." I just think it is so sad that people today ARE so super sensitive! I too have much to grow with my reactions and sensitivities; but that is not the way Jesus was, nor how He taught us to behave. Are we going to have a tantrum when we are called upon to witness for Jesus before those who seek our lives? Peace !!
  • April on 1 Samuel 24
In the bible it was stated An eye for an eye,a tooth for a tooth, but here in this story,David knew of this to be an oppurtunity to give back what Saul was dishing out,but he had a choice and he chose NOT to kill Saul,we ALL have choices to do onto others as we want done unto thy self, even if God delivered him into his hands, was this a test perhasps?and how many times have we been tested?God BlessU
  • Jacqueline mitchell on Matthew 27
please explain Matthew 27:52 is this the special resurrection and where could i find other verses related to this? thank you so much.
  • W. Shortt on Mark 16
Could you please tell me the verse of the day for Sunday, June 4, 2017? Thank You.
  • A disciple
Lu2677; Hypocritical? I don't see how someone can come up with that one! Jesus never shied away from speaking to anyone, and certainly not His enemies. He resisted the devil's temptations by speaking the Scriptures! How many times did He say to the Pharisees, "Have you not read? ...Have you never read?" I also don't understand why you think everything is an attack. Maybe too sensitive? Peace!
  • A disciple on Matthew 24
Lu2677; Please read what I wrote one more time. What I said was that since none of us can really express with words all that the Lord has caused ourselves to know, so we shouldn't be so ready to scrutinize another, as we definitely don't know all the Lord has shown them. This has to do with the secret things that belong to God and the areas in which we aught not to judge each other. Is that wrong?
  • I KNOW PART OF CHRIST!! on Exodus 24
    They saw god if and when he wanted !! He's GOD!! Matthew 5 V 8 . Different one's have !! Deuteronomy 4 v 29 5 other places .
  • Lu2677 on Galatians 1
A disciple;with the exception of a couple of things,i have proclaimed in the same light the things you are addressing me with. Are you correcting me or are you letting me know you have understanding in these matters? It is hard here with so little space to write,I can only hope that the verse I give will be read in the same spirit that I give them. Some verse IS the context, some need more for clarity
  • Grady on Ezekiel 13
As I read it saddens me to see Christians in great debate over nothing. If you don't look for the rapture you have made your choice. If you argue the method you have wasted your time, No you have wasted Gods time. Who sets out to waste Gods time? Gods will be done.
  • Lu2677 on Proverbs 10
Cont.from page Matthew 24;A disciple,Proverbs 10:11"The mouth of a righteous man is a well (abundance) of life; but violence covers (fills) the mouth of the wicked." The wicked are those that do not have God's word in their heart. You said "we can NEVER know our own hearts."Not true, I know mine. If you do not know yours how will you know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error in you or them?
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 24
A disciple, Is it hypocritical to give verse to someone who speaks against His word, for correction? We are called to consent to wholesome words.Scripture is truth. It is possible to "know".Matthew 12:34"from the heart the mouth speaks."We know what is in their heart by what comes out of their mouth.Jeremiah 11:36,Pro.6:2,Exodus 4:13-16,V.15"put words in his mouth',Isaiah 59:21,examples if interested.
  • A disciple on Galatians 1
Lu2677; I know sometimes my way of wording can be odd; but I was referring to the constant argument (that in my opinion IS NO argument), about whether we're saved by works or by faith. Our works make manifest our faith; right? the fruits we bear are the works; which are the reflection of that grace which has been wrought in our hearts, by faith in Jesus. God works in us as we walk in truth.
  • Lu2677 on Ephesians 4
Irene 123 "A world wide redemption for the whole church is on the horizon." What is your reference for the statement? Who; what group, of people do you call "the whole church"? Thanks
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 13
Matthew 13:27 "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man." Son of man is Jesus. Some versions capitalize "Man"=God. Anyone else agree it should be cap. M just for the sake of clarity? In case anyone was wondering; when it reads "son of man" it is not Christ.
  • A disciple on Proverbs 2
But if we are walking in the truth, and in the Spirit, we are not pandering to the lusts of the flesh! Job 31:1 "I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?" "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds..." So we learn to resist the devil, control our thoughts, and keep our bodies under subjection in holiness!
  • A disciple on Galatians 1
Lu2677; When the Lord stood before Pilate, the Governor asked Him; "You are a king then?" and so Jesus told him, "You say that I am a king: for this cause came I into the bear witness of the truth; all they who are of the truth shall hear my voice." He came to call sinners to repentance: repentance comes out of acknowledgment of the truth and integrity of heart by reflecting that grace.
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 3
In the midst of his troubles, David pens down his thoughts and heart. God has preserved these ancient writings for us today, because he is still here with us, as he was with David. If God be for us, who can defeat him?
  • A disciple on Ephesians 2
"In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." BUILDED TOGETHER! How do we not know today what unity and grace and knowledge that our brethren in the beginning knew? How do the vast multitudes of gentle believers seem to be starved to death for understanding even of the first basics of knowledge, and find mostly contention and divisions instead of fellowship?
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 12
(cont. to Forgiven) "If you love me keep my commandments." It is a prayer inspired by an unrepentant and selfish heart, that prays for God to bless an unlawful love affair. Is one of them married? Are they toying with sin? What is the conflict, since you know that its wrong? and why then do you ask God to still be nice to you and your "desires" instead of fleeing for your life? Repent, or be lost!
  • Sheri Stump on John 1
God tells us in Genesis 1 that He and the word are one. Is the word Jesus? Yes in John 1:14 says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.

  • Walking with Jesus on Matthew 6
To follow Jesus is to deny yourself all of your lifelong vanity to preserve your way of life, which all previous generations who came before have prescribed for us. As Jesus has depended on God for his sustenance, can we do the same? Our mission isn't the same as his. We are called to turn from the wickedness of this world in this time and place and to decry hypocrisy in high places. Peace.
  • Dave P on Proverbs 2
Why are people robbed of wisdom, knowledge and understanding? Because they are not following God's instructions in verses 1-9. If I told most people that there was a million dollars hidden in their backyard, do you think they would dig for it? God tells us where and how but men are more interested in Satan's counterfeits versus His finest. See Psalms 19:7-11 and Psalms 37:1-4
  • A disciple on Romans 2
To the question of whether we are all created equal; we have to consider, in what sense? In that we all have a spirit, soul and body? Yes. in that we all are made in the image of God? yes. In that we are indeed ALL created? Yes. In that we all have a moral capacity to choose good or evil, to hear the word of truth or to not hear? Yes. "For who makes you to differ from another?"
  • A disciple on Galatians 1
How does the statement, "saved by grace through faith, and not by works," make someone struggle with the equally true statement, "then truly by their fruits you shall know them;" (referring to the works of one who fails the grace of God) ?
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 3
Word, I don't recall writing anything that had the two Enoch's confused. Your insistence for people to "read His word slowly" to gain understanding is quite strange. God gives understanding, reading fast or slow has nothing to do with understanding. He calls the elect to be diligent, I do not see any instruction in His word "read slowly.' Did you read the verses I quoted in context?
