That doesn't mean that one day = 1000 years. It means that God isn't bound by his own creation, Time and it also illustrates his patience with us. Jesus rose on the third day. Do people seriously think that took 3000 years? Context is everything.

    Are wedding rings biblical?

The ancient pagan Romans were responsible for beginning the use of engagement and wedding rings.

They wore the ring on the third finger of the left hand because they believed that a vein from this finger runs directly to the heart.

Most of what is done in a wedding ceremony is based on pagan practices yet many Christians over look this because of "tradition".

Hello, on each chapter reading page such as this Link there's an option to "Share to" and icons for Facebook and Twitter. On a desktop computer it's on the right side, on a narrow screen like a phone it will be farther down the page. For individual verses the share icons are directly underneath the verse in context, like here: Link - Does this help?

Hello Sonti, I applaud you for wanting to read and understand the Bible. It can at times seem difficult, but really it's the perfect book, because it interprets itself. Isaiah 28:10 says you need to read more in depth.
    1. Open your bible randomly, and pick ANY verse and read it.
    2. Now go to the beginning of that chapter and read all the way down to that original verse -- does it give more meaning?
    3. Each verse in the bible will have another verse that corresponds. If you look in the middle of your bible page, you will see the verse that you originally read, and it will have verses from other books to reference, they will provide even more clarity.
    4. Pray for understanding ask God to help

Baptism is a "Requirement" for salvation. If that were not true, why did Jesus get baptized? Luke 3:21-22. Several scriptures that mention baptism and the need for it. John 3:5; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Acts 2:41; This is just a few, but the baptism is a representation of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, which were buried with him in the grave, but he rose again and left our sins in the grave. Thus when we are baptized we are to become new creatures in Christ and the sinful person is dead 2 Corinthians 5:17...You cannot enter into the Kingdom of heaven as you currently are. We are born of a sinful nature, and unless we bury that in the blood of Christ, we will not enter heaven.

We must understand that all that is transpiring today has been prophesied. It does not matter who is in office, they too would be fulfilling prophecy. In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus tells you of the things that must happen before the world ends. Revelations unfolds Matthew 24 and identifies the participating parties (Symbolically). Who will be saved? Eccl 12:13 tells us what the duty of man is. Revelation 14:6-10 "The Three Angels Message" Informs us what to do, what will happen and why it's happening. Revelation 14:12 identifies the saved. Your salvation depends on who you choose to worship, the God(Jehovah) of heaven or of this world(Satan). James 4:4 The 4th Commandment will be the deciding factor!!!

  • Kenny F - in Reply on Romans 2
Victor on Romans 2. Brother I think you have been slanted in your view of the prophets. Paul, of all the apostles was a man of clear understanding of God's word, law and purpose for humanity. As Saul, he persecuted God's people and thought he was doing God's will. When he was converted and named Paul...how much clearer do you think he was from that point on?
