  • Tim George on Genesis 37:13
And Israel said unto Joseph do not thy brothers feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, "Hear am I " Joseph submits to his father 's will to go to his brothers, who hated him, to see how they were feeding the flock. We in ministry are partners together in the gospel, and we should be helpers with our fellow brothers in Christ. We are not to be competitors, but helpers in the ministry, for we serve the Lord Jesus Christ. By this shall all men know that we are His disciples, by the love that we have one for the other. Jesus said a new commandment give I unto you, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Love in spite of the way others treat you, and the Lord will reward you.

  • George Hartwell on Genesis 4
In response to Word 's comment on 8 14 2014, where in Genesis does it say that God covered the Earth with people on 6th day? Weren 't just Adam and Eve created then? I do agree that it does seem strange that Cain was able to find himself a wife when Eve was the only woman who existed at that point. Perhaps the writer of this myth just didn 't think it through properly.

  • Omary Minzi on Revelation 7
Thanks all for your nice contribution with regard to Rev 7 14 and its connection with the rapture. Mathew 24 20 22. If you also read ISAIAH 26 20 2. It becomes clear that, the tribulation will start before the rapture then our Loard Jesus will come to pick those who received him as their Savior. However, there is another school of thought that the church shall not witness tribulation. The church must have left before this bad time. Kindly educate us with regard to this timing? Thanks and Godbbless you all in advance
  • Mark on Genesis 3
I have questions, Did the serpent know good and evil? Where did the serpent come from? Is the serpent the devil kicked out of heaven? Do the angels know good and evil? Could the "us " be referring to the heavenly host collectively as a whole, such as God and his angels and the Spirit of God that moved upon the face of the waters?
  • Grant on Hebrews 1
This is to rev Autrey, In the original Greek scriptures it reads you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness therefore Jehovah, your God, set you above your companions meaning Jesue was exsulted higher than angels anointing him with the oil of joy or by making him Christ. Jesus never calls himself God. God knew he was his son. The angels new he was the son. The demons know he was the son of the most high. When Jesus asked his disciples "who do you think I am? ", even Peter said "you are the son of God. Trinitarians, get over it!

Righteous, Peace, and Joy in the Holy Ghost. Its the peace of God My peace I give unto you not as the world gives. The Joy of the Lord which is my strength. I have that peace and that joy. The world didn 't give it to me and the world cant take it away.
  • Michael on Psalms 18:2
To understand this verse, you need to understand why David said it. He had just overcome his enemies and Saul, the jealous king, and he was so happy that he broke forth with this entire Psalm 18. It is a song of victory over one 's obstacles. These all are military terms, rock, fortress, deliverer, salvation, horn, high tower, buckler shield , strength but the enemy is figuratively a spiritual one satan and David is referring mostly to a physical enemy. He has not gotten to the spiritual enemy yet which caused him to fall later in his life. Enjoy this entire Psalm 18 whenever you have victory in your life over the enemy, especially the continued fight against satan, who by the way is out of the box for a short time here in the last days Revelations, Chapter 22...??
  • Sylvia from the philippines on Matthew 16:26
Our elder once shared to me about this verse in Matthew 16. wht stuck in my mind is the story of one of the riches and famous man on earth. he succumb to a lingering illness his money was not able to help cure him. on his dying bed, he requested his family to lay him on a special coffin with holes on both upper sides where both his arms could be extended out. He wished that all his famous and rich friends be invited on his wake and them be showed how he died, and them to look and remeber his outstrectched arms and open hands, expressing and warning them this lesson "WHEN WE ALL DIE, WE WILL ALL BE EMPTY HANDED, NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE WORK HARD TO GAIN THE WORLD " so now, let us ask our very own self, what are we busy about? is it simply for our gain or we are busy not just for our gain but for others as well. remember, God says, you save your soul by saving others FIRST... "GOD LOVES US SO MUCH THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE "
  • Mukwevho ndivhuwo on Malachi 4

  • Darren on James 5:16
Well technically the word "faults " is not the same as "sin " in the original greek, however it is referring to the same thing as sin...going against what his word teaches. It is a transgression against his law. However in the context where this word is used, it implies a deeper meaning. A sinful condition that causes a variety of sins. It is the difference between saying "I stole 5 dollars " and "I am a thief, I covet, I envy, I lie about it, and I need you brother to help me by holding me accountable if need be...pray for me, support me, love me in spite of my faults because I cannot seem to control this by myself. " Thats why this verse is followed by the story of Elias...big things can happen in a congregation when we have the courage to follow this teaching. In fact we can "hide a multitude of sins "...why? Because we get to the root of the problem. In fact, James says to tell anyone who is willing to "BEAR ONE ANOTHER 'S BURDENS " that they are helping to save that person from death and Hell. This is the most underestimated verse in the scriptures. We don 't teach it, encourage it..be willing to show the example, reward one for doing so. Nor do we expect the receiver to be responsible for the erring brother. It is one of the greatest commandments and purpose to the Lord 's Church. "Lord, how many times should I forgive my brother? "....get the point? You should. Jesus always got to the root of the problem in a person 's life ...every time.
  • Amy on Genesis 3
I have a question. In Genesis 3 22 we read, "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us... " . Who is "us "? This implies more than one.
  • Graham on Acts 19
Even though the Ephesus converts and others in the book of Acts received the Holy Spirit after water baptism, some converts in the book of Acts received the Holy Spirit before water baptism. However, I don 't believe that this was proof that they were saved. Let 's use the apostle Paul 's conversion as an example. Acts 9 17 18 proclaims that Paul received the Holy Spirit, and then was baptized. But notice in Paul 's testimony in Acts 22 that Paul 's sins were NOT remitted until after water baptism in the name of Jesus. Acts 22 16 And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Paul repented, received the Holy Spirit and had his sins remitted when baptized in the name of Jesus, just like Acts 2 38. Some converts in the book of Acts receive the Holy Spirit before water baptism, and some after, as it still is today. This saving gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ that was first delivered to the saints is still the saving gospel today. Whether Jew or Gentile, it is the same gospel for everybody.

  • Dan on Isaiah 5:20
I 'm no bible thumper, but just saying this applies only to homosexuality is a blind farcical comment. Go look at the political world today. How about the corporate one? Don 't be so blind as to say it doesn 't apply today.
  • Debra on Deuteronomy 1

  • James on Acts 19
The Bible says the gospel is to go to the Jew FIRST Rom. 1 16 , so they are the FIRST to receive the gospel in the book of Acts chapter 2 , but they are not the last to receive it. Acts doesn 't end with chapter 2, so we should be cautious of anyone who develops their doctrine in Acts 2 while practically ignoring the next 26 chapters! If God didn 't stop in Acts 2, then why does anyone else? Could it be that the later chapters in Acts contain information which the cultists want hidden from us? Could it be that there are other scriptures in Acts which do not agree with the wording of Acts 2 38? Could it be that Peter himself, the one preaching in Acts 2 38, says something different when speaking to individual Gentiles like you and me? One only has to read Acts chapter 10 to get the answer. Peter is preaching again in Acts 10, except only to individual Gentiles, and something very interesting occurs. In Acts 2 38, the Holy Ghost was promised to be given to the converts AFTER they were baptized, yet in Acts 10 44 the Holy Ghost falls upon the Gentiles BEFORE they are baptized! Now, Paul tells us in Romans 8 9, " . . .if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. " Having God 's Spirit is synonymous with belonging to God or being saved John 3 6 8 , so the Gentiles in Acts 10 were saved BEFORE they were baptized in water. Why don 't the Acts 2 38 cultists ever point this out? Answer It destroys their perverted doctrine that water baptism is essential for salvation.
