Acts 2:38 church (assembly = gr. ekklesia)

I was wondering can a former thief repent of his past sins and pay back the people that he stole from? and how can he do this in a graceful manner without revealing that he stole from them? or causing problems or causing people to judge him negatively. How can a former thief pay back for his sins without revealing himself?

Yes I have a question about Baptism. So a family member of mine got baptized Septmeber and I am really embarrassed about it because it was just for show and has not taken it seriously at all.And have not given a testimony of goodness of the Lord. He Have not told anyone and really seems not to care. As for me I love The Lord with all my heart. I do not play church or with the word of God. I have been praying that the Holy Spirt would fall upon him the family member. So I need to know would it be wrong to not to pray for this person when , I know he not going to saved either just like the others in my family.it seems to me the more I pray in, with and by the spirit the devil is always in the middle. I refuse to be ashamed of the gospel in eyes of my family. Please advise Thank you.

    MATTHEW 7

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the DOGS, neither cast ye your PEARLS, before SEJNE, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. (TEAR TO PIECES)

    COMMENTARYS

    Wesley's Notes for Matthew 7:6

Here is another instance of that transposition, where of the two things proposed, the latter is first treated of. Give not - to dogs - lest turning they rend you: Cast not - to swine - lest they trample them under foot. Yet even then, when the beam is cast out of thine own eye, Give not - That is, talk not of the deep things of God to those whom you know to be wallowing in sin. neither declare the great things God hath done for your soul to the profane, furious, persecuting wretches. Talk not of perfection, for instance, to the former; not of your experience to the latter. But our Lord does in nowise forbid us to reprove, as occasion is, both the one and the other.

What does the Bible say about parades? We know that Jesus was escorted into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey!

Isn't it funny that Santa (Satan) is escorted into most towns and into peoples lives by a parade?

  • Baptism of Fire Commentaries - 2 years ago
    People's Bible Commentary

Baptize 'in' water", "Baptize 'in' the Holy Spirit". And [with] fire. The term "fire" is used in Mt 3:10, and there means a destroying agency; it is used again in Mt 3:12 in the same sense; it is used in Mt 3:11, also, the intervening verse, and must be used in exactly the same sense as in the other two verses. It cannot mean a curse in Mt 3:10,12, and a blessing in Mt 3:11, without a word of explanation. It is strange, therefore, that all commentators should not agree that the baptism of fire is a baptism of trial and suffering. There were two classes before John. Some would repent and be baptized finally in the Holy Spirit; there were others who would remain impenitent, and be baptized in the awful trials that would come upon Israel. Mt 3:12 explains this. John says in it that there is the wheat and the chaff; one shall be gathered into the garner and the other burned.

    Wesley's Notes for Matthew 3:11

He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with FIRE- He shall fill you with the Holy Ghost, inflaming your hearts with that fire of love, which many waters cannot quench. And this was done, even with a visible appearance as of fire, on the day of pentecost.
  • Parables are stories - 2 years ago
[It would be nice to read a parable instead of a list of scriptures]

A parable is a story told to illustrate a truth. Jesus' parables were teaching aids and can be thought of as extended analogies, comparing two things or ideas. A common description of a parable is that it is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Jesus told many parables; in fact, at least for a time in His ministry, Jesus relied heavily on story-telling: "He did not say anything to them without using a parable" ( Mark 4:34).

When asked by the disciples why he used parables, Jesus said that he would fulfill the words of the prophet and reveal the mysteries from the foundation of the world.

It has been noted, since the late nineteenth century, that the parables in the Gospels fall into three groups. These are usually given the names (1) similitude, (2) parable, and (3) exemplary story (sometimes called illustration).

The characteristics of a parable are earthiness, conciseness, repetition, conclusion, listener-relatedness, reversal of expectations, kingdom-centered eschatology, kingdom ethics, and God and salvation

Parables are used to teach a lesson or make a general point about a larger philosophical or religious issue, or to instruct people about proper courses of action. Because the stories are easily understood and engaging for all types of people, parables are an effective way to reach potential believers.

Hi frens , fellow Christians, an truth seekers,.. as it states in Corinthians, Jesus " became our passova " ,. So with that simple saying written by Paul, then is it not safe to believe that everyday is a sabbath day ? ? ? For surly, we all have need for Christ in our life !!! An then of course,. The 3 times a year God asked us to come to worship, an read the lords word,. Passova, starting at sun down on the 15 day after the spring equinox,.. an then Pentecost, on the 50th day after passova,.. then of course feast of tabernacles on the 29th day of September,.. Notice, the word Easter , is not in this comment,.. for that word is actually, Pascal, meaning passova,.. a very grave misinterpretation in the KJB ,.. which is easily clarified in a strongs concordance,..

  • Joshua Ofor on Revelation 7 - 2 years ago
"What follows is a preparation for the seventh seal, which is the weightiest of all. It is connected with the sixth by the particle and; whereas what is added, verse 9, # Rev 6:9 stands free and unconnected|. I saw four angels - Probably evil ones. They have their employ with the four first trumpets, as have other evil angels with the three last; namely, the angel of the abyss, the four bound in the Euphrates, and Satan himself."

Again , look in Revelations chapter 9. We find that the four angels had been reserved for a year , a month , a day, an hour TO SLAY A THIRD OF MANKIND. No doubt evil.

I wonder whether they are the four major mrna vaccines firms : Pfizer, AstraZeneca , Johnson & Johnson , and Moderna? Hence the "scorpions" in chapter 9. Possibly syringes? Or vaccinations?

Five billion people (and counting) who have been vaccinated. The scientists of faith tell us that they carry a legion of diseases. Some quick acting. But most slow acting but certain in their goal.

In the time of Noah, ( Gen 6 ) we are told that the "sons of God" ( rebellious angels were cast out of Heaven ) and saw the "daughters of men" and married them. This cross fertilisation of non/human DNA destroyed the pure human gene pool. The Holy Spirit could not indwell in their offsprings as they were no longer human. But Noah was "Perfect" ( Tamiym ) . The interpretation given in the Old Testament lexicon: complete, whole, entire whole, sound, healthful complete, entire (of time) sound, wholesome, unimpaired, innocent, having integrity what is complete. It lends itself to a PHYSICAL perfection.

Today, the four angels and their vaccines, if true , we are told, change the DNA of mankind.

Christ told us in Matthew 24 :"As it was in the time of Noah, so shall it be in the time of the coming of the Son of man".

It is also in that same passage that Christ says that He will send his angels to gather His "elect" from the four winds held by the four angels.

Is it wrong to pray that a friend sees your worth? I do not want the recognition per say. I just want them to see how much I love them and how I want the best for them and maybe then they would be kinder to me. And if they can't they can move away from me for good. This back and forth doesn't sit well with me. I know if it isn't our time it isn't our time. But I knew when I met them he would be a significant part of my life.

O bedience to Jesus is the goal in John 3. Jesus says one must be born again. Why doesn't one search the scriptures for how one can be born again? Because in John 3 Jesue says unless one is born again they cannot see the kingdom of heaven!

Teresa don't know if you are serious. If you are here you go read Genesis 1: 1- 31. God was creating life the entire chapter but created man in verse 1: 26. Does that help? you can read the whole book to fully understand what all took place in Genesis.
