I've been raised my entire life under the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, but cannot wrap my head around or bring myself to completely agree with the belief that my family and everyone else seem to be very strict about.....and that is what the Bible says in Leviticus 17:14....... I understand the scripture and it's context, but what about John 15:13. Can someone help me better understand these?

By the way Hubert .I forgot to mention to you that Baptism does not have one thing to do with being saved! If you think so you are still lost and without the Savior! The terms you spoke of were a part of the Kingdom Gospel Guess what? We are not there anymore but under the Gospel of Grace that Paul preached. Get your gospels straight! BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND YOU SHALL B SAVED!
  • Rexford Murphy on James 5

  • Heather Smith on 1 Corinthians 5
Paul was dealing with an extreme instance of fornication as well as the respect of a person. My biggest takeaway is not to eat with any "brother" who is not wholeheartedly following God. It seems to me that this chapter is in conflict with 1 Corinthians 13. Can anyone explain?

The bible is not made so we can have knowledge, but so that Gods natural selection would carry the word from him. Cain should have been beheaded by Islam, yet mercy gave Cain the countries of Persia, or Iran. He was cast out east of the Euphrates. Abraham married his half sister. Moses married a black woman from Ethiopia. Why does the animal called humans need an animals skins to live with? O

Dear David, does she believe she's 100 percent forgiven? It's important she believes it herself. The Bible is clear that our past sins are washed away and we are cleansed by Jesus' sacrifice. 1 John 1:7. Remember Paul used to murder Christians and was forgiven. Secondly, has she forgiven herself completely? You can search forgiveness on this site for verses. Pray for peace- there's no fear in love
Is Adoni another name for God?

The scripture is meant to give the Holy Spirit, not knowledge, or else knowledge is grace and we need not faith. So who were the first two prophets? Now ask yourself who are the last two prophets of Revelations. HE and HE makes the she goat sacrifice void and we must remember Moses said: The women who's heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goat hair?

Seeing the fallen nature of human beings and immorality which has striven our world today are we to say till this day and age the commandment which god wrote with his own finger at creation are done away with talking about the Ten commandments?
  • Heather Smith - in Reply on Genesis 7
Sacrifice? In the verse that you reference don't show provision of sacrifice. It is true that sacrifices were practiced. How do you know that God didn't simply grant them a reprieve?

What was he supposed to offer? Cain was a tiller of the ground. It is highly offensive to work hard and not be recognized. According to your perspective, God is ungrateful and a waste of time.
  • Boda Lawson on 1 Corinthians 9
It is not St. Paul nor his letter to the church group located in Corinth that is on trial here. If we Christians hold opposition to it, it is our own inability to comply with the commandments written within. The writing has stood the test of time and persecutions. It is what it is and we must not write between the lines. Who among us feels capable or holy enough to judge God?
  • I AM THAT I AM: on Acts 8
O proud man, know ye not that the Son of God chose ye that ye may live? It is written, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
  • I AM THAT I AM: on Acts 8
You boasted of your pride to the Son: and falsely confessed his Name: and thought you and thy seed were me. Leaning on thine own understanding, ye glorified thyself and not GOD when reading this Scripture: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter: and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation?

Have you tried making a list of all the difficulties obstacles you have with believing? Then you one by one analyze each one in detail: when did I start believing this? How do I know this is 100 true? Is it always true? Is it true for everyone else? Is it possible someone else has a different perspective of it? What does the Bible say? Have I prayed for wisdom to confirm if true?

Can an illustration of a Bible verse be considered a "graven image"?
  • Adam - in Reply on Job 1
Thomas, you replied to my comment which already answered your question. Did you not look up the first verse? Other examples are easily found through search, like John 14:6, John 3:16, etc. A Christian is a follower of Christ. If you do not follow Christ, you're not a Christian. If you're not a Christian you won't enter heaven, no matter how 'good' you claim to be. Matthew 7:21-23 is proof.

I agree I AM THAT I AM but do we know what Day of the Week God started Creation? the Names used today were given much later so could Day1 have been a Tuesday or is the day Confirmed in Scripture? But we do know that Jesus is our Rest and we are to Fellowship and Worship together Rom14 How Wonderful to have the Love and Unity in our Churches today like they did in God's early Churches Acts 2:38-47
  • Thomas F Hills - in Reply on Job 1
For Christ sake, all you speak of is material possessions when innocent servants, animals and all ten children were slaughtered by the premeditated acts of God working with Satan. Do we not morn for the loss of lives. Can we not question for what was to be gained other than a man still standing for his faith. Did you know Job didn't know God was behind this plot?

Adam, Where does it say that one must become a Christian to have eternal life?
  • Thomas F Hills - in Reply on Job 1
Ruben, I don't know what I believe. I honestly envy those who can go through life thinking that God is watching over his children but it is so very hard to do when you see all of the crimes committed by man without any intervention for the life of the innocents. And you know, it wasn't just Job, what about his servants, children and the poor animals? Satan lost nothing, only a bet.

Does anyone know how to believe again? Do you just blindly say you believe when your heart truly doesn't or does that even work?

Unless your husband has broken his vows covenant to you through unfaithfulness or abuse I believe any and all means should be used to strengthen your marriage, through being loving giving him instead of focusing on what you're receiving. Vows and commitments are real and if you're the one initiating. What if the roles were reversed, would you divorce you? Read 1 Corinthians 7.

Will their be animals in heaven, such as our dogs, cats etc?
  • Ruben Hartness - in Reply on Job 1
This isn't a sport--God proved to the world He is LORD. He proved to Satan that Satan could NOT win a true believer over no matter the trial. He knew Job fit that description. Job never lost faith, have you? Yes Job suffered but he is now in the bosom of Abraham and Satan is in the pit. God loves His children and doesn't play games. Upgrade your faith to understand. It's your discernment.

Annie, I know this is off the subject of Job but, how did you acquire God's wisdom?
