I have been received some great guidance from people since I started using this app to read the bible after very many years of not even thinking about the bible in my life.

I am now intrigued as to how you would classify yourselves in terms of a denomination, as in roman catholic, Protestant, Methodist, Baptist etc,?

    Malachi 2:13-17

13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.

14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.

15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

16 For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

17 Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

I suppose we all may know someone who professes to be a Christian who falls down at the altar at the front of the church expressing humility and devotion to Christ but who in his private life has treated the wife of his youth abominably. Some have even divorced the wife of their youth to marry a younger girl who pleases him physically.

  • Cynthia on Ezekiel 33 - 1 year ago
Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth."

I find it very Interesting how the FATHER addresses

    "The righteousness of the righteous"

I think today we call these people "the self rightious" these people hear the WORD but don't do what the WORD tells them.

And what does the WORD say to us anyway?

HE, the"WORD" said "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN"

We must all experience the new birth , that of the HOLY GHOST coming to dwell within us only then can we rest in HIS righeiousness and live , otherwise we are fools if we believe we can be saved by simply believing,

What I'm trying to say is many people are fooling themselves thinking they are saved when they aren't. If I were one of these people and I knew what I know now, I'd be on my face before the LORD and I wouldn't get up until I saw HIM face to face and heard HIM call me by my name and I received the gift of the HOLY GHOST .
  • The Ongoing Struggle To Stop Abortion on Demand - 1 year ago
    Email from ALCJ this morning:

"In a horrific development, a SECOND state legislature is considering a depraved bill that could legalize iINFANTICIDE up to 28 days AFTER birth_this time, California. We're taking urgent action for life TODAY.

By intentionally using the word "perinatal," which has a drastically different medical meaning than prenatal (before birth), these disgusting bills would prevent even an investigation where a living child was allowed to die between one and four weeks AFTER birth. That's infanticide.

We know the abortion industry worships at the altar of abortion. We saw New York enact its live-birth abortion law and the former governor of Virginia discuss how in a late-term abortion, the "infant would be kept comfortable" on a table while the decision is made whether to kill the child. But we've NEVER seen anything this evil.

We've testified in Maryland and are preparing to take action in California to defeat these infanticide bills."

Mishael Comment: Abortion is not birth control. It's a child sacrifice to an ancient demon named Molech/Moloch. It's written in the Bible. Use the SEARCH BOX and look it up. It's on YouTube too with illustrations. Let's all be in prayer for the ALCJ attorneys. Thank you for your prayer support.

John the Baptists, was a cousin of Jesus Christ, according to scriptures. John was it who Baptized Jesus in Jordan. John was sent to be the forerunner of Jesus the Christ.

John said that Jesus is the incarnated Word of God, bringing "grace and truth," replacing the law given by Moses, and making God known in the world.

Howbeit, when John was imprisoned, he send his disciples to ask Jesus; if he was the one (Messiah)? The one who it is to: "Save Israel from their sins, and bringing them to God."

Question is: "What prompted John, to inquire if Jesus, was the one? Wasn't John filled with the Spirit to discern Jesus was the sent Messiah? Does Spirit filled prophet of God, know not the operation of the spirit?

    Matthew 25: 31-46

What Jesus taught that we should be doing every day, in one form or another.

To ignore this teaching, is to be unwise. Every person can do something: pray for it, fund it through a ministry that does it; or you do it.

This is what the Lords Sheep do.

only goats will jump up and proclaim, I'm not having anything to do with this !!

Why do we do it? Because Jesus himself demonstrated it, some way, every day of his ministry on earth. Before he left, he taught that we were to be merciful and kind in His Place. He will repay.

Someday, at the Bema Seat Judgement of Christ Jesus; rewards will be handed out; CROWNS.

At the end of the Ceremony we will place our crowns at Jesus's feet.

Let me tell a real story. One night I was in a left turn lane , headed home. It was quite long. I saw a homeless man dressed in rags, hobbling along with sore feet. His shoes were falling apart. His face etched with pain, every step. We turned left, turned around to find the man and buy him new shoes and clothes. We searched but couldn't find him! Anguish filled my heart.

Some months later I was at the doctors office-and for some reason I told him about that man. His expression was incredulous. He had seen the man too! He was in the right turn lane and followed to where he could offer him a ride. HE TOOK THE MAN to a store and bought him clothes, a coat, and good shoes. Got him into a shelter. Shortly after he did free surgery on the man's feet. He had befriended the man afterwards.

What a blessing to hear!!! I cried and praised God all the way home. When God speaks, if we will just listen and respond; we can be part of a blessing. God will repay you. There are feeding and clothing ministries somewhere near you. Help those who need so much and in the spirit of love and mercy_not judgment or loathing. Have you ever put a bag of canned meat and veggies on an elderly persons doorstep? Start a food pantry at your church? shoes+socks?

Was having a conversation with a Christian friend of mine, who was so appalled by what was happening in our world. I had to remind my friend, that we "desire a better country, that is, an heavenly".

If the people of this world want to destroy this beautiful planet earth with their sin, and forget God!?

    Well, I'll let them.

AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE

    I will serve the LORD!

Sometimes I think Christians get to involved in the things of this world, and forget what Jesus said "I am NOT of the world" John 17:16-26

about Malachi 3:10, why is it used so readily by pastors for tithing? When in

    2 Corinthians 9:7

"Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.", And in

1Peter 5:2-3 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

John 3:1+10 (verse 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God)

Luke 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? (3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

The unforgivable sin, is the sin against the Holy Ghost.

    What does this mean?

Does it mean that as along I forgive and love my brother this cannot apply to me! It is ok to excuse ourselves in the light of Gods word?

If the Lord of creation wanted to write a book on particular sin, and how to deal with it , there would not be enough room to hold all the pages!

No, He has given us His word!

Instead the priest's teach today this word is fable.

Look around! You will see what the sin against the holy Ghost is!

It is the evidence of preachers and teachers who have left the wall and run for cover! A society that lives based on works.

There is no forgiveness for the sin against the Holy Ghost!

    Repent and be Baptized

Christians must forsake all wealth( Luke 14:33 Jesus says forsake it all)

Christians cannot work for money( Matthew 6:24)

Christians do Not pay taxes (Render to Caesar what is his and to God what belongs to Him, what belongs to God?)

Christians travel and trust in God for daily food(Mathew 6:20-33) that's what makes them different from all the world.

Christians live together 24/7 ( Acts 4:34-35) sharing everything in common( Acts 2:44-45).

Christians give to the needy in secret(Matthw 6)

Women can be leaders in the church but it is beter that all be as brothers and sisters.

If you are a Christian you own nothing in this world, as Paul says, and you are homeless as he says also, and you are the rags of this world, as Paul says. Choose Poverty not Wealth! Make Peace not War!

Christians are nonviolent ( Matthew 5:44-45).

Christians forgive as much as they can.

I want to know the difference between the word "alway" and "always". Bible dictionaries state that "alway" is no longer used so it essentially means the same as "always". But I know there must have been a good reason for the KJV translators to originally use the word "alway" instead of "always" in the first place. I believe there are 23 instances in the Bible where "alway" is used. In Phil 4:4 does alway mean to rejoice at the beginning and at the end of a trial - during the course of this trial you won't rejoice because of the pain or suffering but because grace sustains you, you will rejoice at the completion of the trial. You rejoice during the trial because grace is sustaining you but you don't rejoice because your are sick, injured, etc. Am I right?

To always rejoice means you rejoice at every thing that is happening all the time. ??

Thank you...I'm teaching a class and the use of this word will need to be addressed.

    Sincerely...all help appreciated...Debbie Eads
