    One eighty,

    (Part 1):

If you say you have never been to the acim website, then I will take your word for it. About a week ago, you responded to one of my posts and some things you shared were a little confusing to me. I should have asked you to explain, but instead I did a search of some of your comments and stumbled upon that website that said the same things you said, not just in similarity, but actual word for word.

No, I do not study from that website. I only discovered it a week ago while trying to decipher what you were telling me. I would not study from it anyway because as I said, it is full of heretical teachings. I am just trying to warn folks to not go there, including you since you say you never been there. So please, don't go there.

I did ask you a week ago if you were taking any courses from there. You did not respond. From what I found out; it is not just on the internet. There are actually three books that can be purchased that teach this course. If I may ask, do you have these books?

One eighty, there is a reason why I thought you were visiting that website. Please allow me to show you how I came to this conclusion by quoting "your words" that you shared, and then the words that are on this website (I assume they are in the books also).

I need more space so please bear with me.

I pray God gives you His spiritual understanding and not that of our own. May he give you His wisdom and guide you in His ways, I pray these things in Jesus name.

Stewart, keep reading the scripture. The more you read the more you learn, the more you learn the more you grow. Don't ever give up and don't ever lose faith. May the Lord God guide you always. Amen.
  • Stewart - In Reply - 5 months ago
Also of course for your words, I will continue to do so. God Bless You! and I love you as Christ loved me. We must encourage each other, rebuke out of love and I let pride get in the way of my taking advice from others.

    GOD BLESS YOU AGAIN!

I take the Genesis 1:1 literal as we all do, and if it is not possible it is a figurative truth.

    Thank and God Bless You
  • Stewart - In Reply - 5 months ago
Whether literal or figurative truth, its still the truth. Jesus said I am the door. That is the truth. A figurative but the truth period. He gots Head shoulders knees and toes, we know what door looks like. But its the all true what is said John 10:9. Or is it literal when it says to pluck your eye out? Well yes, if that what it takes, but better just quit the sin and keep both them good eyes. There are Three (Literal)......They are one (Figurative, not 1 being but 1,2,3 beings one is Unity, They are God(The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost), They were there at the beginning.) There are words like...........world, all, make, made, lost, fast, etc which we know to give each word in context its proper meaning. Its not for, but its for us today to know so I take it literal as it written like GEN 1:1 as I would other books, until a scripture could not be literal, buts its still speaks the truth. A figurative truth, but the TRUTH. There are parables, the beatitudes, songs, visions but the symbols explained, proverbs too. Fill me in the rest Im missing. When Jesus told Peter get ye behind me Satan, a double rebuke for trying to talk Jesus out of dying on the cross. Like the Lamentation to the King of Tyre from God too, for instance. I don't know it all and I am still learning.

You and me both, my brother.

So long as your heart is seeking God then I pray God will forgive us of our mishaps. I know I need a lot of rebuking, correction and reproof.

May God guide you always in truth and peace be with you in Jesus name.

Greetings Stewart, peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I understand what you mean, a few people think I'm "crazy" because I take the whole bible literal. I know some passages are symbolic etc. But when Jesus said to the the rich man ( Matthew 19:21) "Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." I took this literal. My PC and TV is all that I own and I only use it to study. Stay off youtube etc. ( Matthew 24:23) "Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not." Instead continue to ( 2 Timothy 2:15) "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

    Thank you GiGi,

I really thank you for your words of encouragement, and I let pride get the better of me. God Bless You GiGI. You really encouraged me, God Bless You and I love you as Christ loved me. I am thankful for your kindness, love and words.

Stewart. I was just having a pity party i let the devil put on me, but in my suffering I will rejoice anyways. And healing is the same as it was when Jesus was here. All manner of sickness can be healed. AMEN thank you and GOD Bless you, in Jesus mighty Name I Pray. Amen

    Stewart:

God teaches us on a ONE by ONE basis.

    The WORD is for YOU.

When you make comments, even if no one reads it, it TEACHES YOU because your writing those words and those words become afrimed to you as truth.

But we also much constantly adjust our carnal mind, it is being destroyed by the truth of God's ward.

We go from ONE truth to another truth as God replaces his mind for our carnal mind.

Everyone on this forum is experiencing the same process, we all have differences in our beliefs because we are all at different points of growth in truth.

It's only when you admit to yourself that you don't understand that you grow, because you DESIRE MORE knowledge, and God will continue to feed you, like a child.

We ought to edify each other not tear down each other down.

TRUTH, you were RESURRECTED ONE with Christ.

All other truths come as God reveals them to you.

Keep commenting, It helps YOU as much and probably more than anyone else.

    God BLESS YOU!
  • Stewart - In Reply - 5 months ago
    Thank You Joryn.

I just take Word of God literal like we take Gen 1:1 literal until it not possible, then its a figurative truth.

God Bless You, and I love you as Christ loves us all and Me.

Great post and so true ! Amen to you , love in Christ .
  • Jema - In Reply - 6 months ago
Stay strong Stewart , you can be sure that God loves you very much . As for not understanding His Word as much as you thought :) that's definitely true of all of us , we are all on this site hoping to learn from each other so don't be afraid to post just because you don't understand everything , none of us do ! I'm so sorry that you have health problems , I've been where you are , not sure if it is the end of your days . Know this for sure , God sees you Stewart , He knows your heart and He is with you all day every day , through all your trials and tribulations and pain and fears , He will not leave you . Read your Bible every day , even if you can only read one chapter , do it . Think about what you have read , take time to digest it . Open your heart to His Word and His love and you will feel it . Don't be afraid , no matter what happens God is right there right now , today and tomorrow . He will not leave you . I find the Psalms to be very comforting whenever I'm feeling vulnerable I go there . David had a very tumultuous life and he faced all kinds of emotional distress and fears , in his own life and in the lives of those he loved , so his heart speaks from his experiences . Christ himself had a family life before his ministry , so he would have suffered sadness and upsets . Whatever else you do , you must be strong in Christ , his love for you is enormous , more than our hearts can ever feel and he is with you so trust in his love and allow it to surround you and comfort you . Psalm 145 .

Thank You and God Bless You Jema

I just take it literal like we take Gen 1:1 literal, until it not possible, then its a figurative truth.

I feel much better, I let satan put me in pity party. But since age 5 I was raised in church until I turn my back on God at age 15. I just recently got back up. I was once in Church 6 days a week (Moose Factory Christian Academy of Education, Church services, boys and girls club until age 12 then its Youth Service Fridays. Of course we can do that and still not go to Heaven, its a day to day hour by hour second by second constant relationship with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.) In my suffering, I will rejoice anyways.

Love you as Christ loves us all, and Me. (Moose Factory, ON Canada is where I am from)

    Blessings Stewart,

Peace and understanding go together and can never be found alone.

There is a loud voice that speaks to us of CONDITIONAL love (which is not love at all) while hiding it in dark cornerstones of fear. It is intrusive, always speaking first because it wants to violate our free will to choose to be still and listen to the Voice for God Whom patiently awaits for us listen to Him regarding God's Perfect UNCONDITIONAL Love for us. The Holy Spirit's Voice is only as loud as our willingness to listen; it can NEVER be louder without violating our freedom of choice which the Holy Spirit seeks to restore, but never to undermine. The Holy Spirit's Voice is always quiet because it always speaks of peace. The ego's voice is divided, always speaking in terms of opposition, which lends to chaos and confusion to our mind; putting it in a state of warfare, rendering peace impossible.

The expression "God is not mocked" is not a warning but a reassurance; God would be mocked if ANY of His creations lacked holiness. We cannot make ourselves unworthy because we are the treasure of God, and what He values IS valuable.

The Word of God is simple BECAUSE It is not divided by HIS opposition of His Own likeness and qualities. The Holy Spirit will NEVER hide the truth. His giving of it is unlimited; we simply limit our receiving by our false belief He can oppose Himself and be divided. Division, separation and death are the ego's occupation.

Be thankful your days are numbered. "Days" are indicative of time, where God is NOT. He is eternal, thus time is meaningless; being only useful to give us all the "time" we need to choose eternity as our reality.

Refrain from asking the Holy Spirit to heal the body, for the body is the ego's idol. We should ask instead for our mind to be healed; for an unhealed mind which is always in a state of fear, is the source of All sickness. The Source of all healing is the Mind of God, i.e. PERFECT LOVE.

    You are in my prayers.

    Peace
  • Stewart - In Reply - 5 months ago
I don't fear death. Only fear I have is of God, which the beginning of Wisdom. And I do agree the Word is no supposed to be a complicated book. But the rest you kinda lost me, the Holy Spirit our Comforter. God is the one that we pray to in the Name of Jesus Christ. And I would rather be healed but the meeting in the air could happen before that. Thankful my days are numbered is a first for me. I am thankful each day God gives us all, and to those that are lost. Each day is a day brought to us all by God's Grace, for no man knoweth the hour when that day comes. Could be before my days are over, only God Knows. As for deliverance God will either deliver me, or he won't. To be absent from the body is to present with the LORD.

Amen to you . I was not afraid to die when I faced the definite possibility of it , the only thing that made me sad was the thought of leaving my husband . Strangely enough , after ten years have passed since I had stage 4 cancer , I'm no longer sad to leave him . We had a good talk about it recently because of the events in the middle east and we are at peace about it and we are putting our trust into our Heavenly Father and His Son . I'm excited now :) looking forward to a new world , not ruled over by humans but by Christ himself in person , awesome days are coming , all things will be new and clean and all flesh shall see the Salvation of God , no more tears no more pain no more distress for all and forever ! Who doesn't rejoice in the promises ? Thy Kingdom Come !

    One Eighty,

Blessings in Christ. Please do not take this as an offense. I see that your post, though it looks lengthy and nice, does not address the request made by Stewart! It is very generic and confusing.

It is an intellectual honesty to give credit to whom credit is due. Your post, and especially the line below, has been plagiarized, but no credit was given to the author.

"The expression "God is not mocked" is not a warning but a reassurance; God would be mocked if ANY of His creations lacked holiness. We cannot make ourselves unworthy because we are the treasure of God, and what He values IS valuable." Good that you cared to write, though. God bless you!
  • One eighty - In Reply - 6 months ago
    Blessings DrCharlesSaw,

Thank you for your sincere reply. I assure you, no offense taken.

,I am baffled by your comment that my post "does not address the request made by Stewart!"

May I suggest you reconsider, what the facts are: 1. He requested prayer, and I said to him, "You are in my prayers." I ADDRESSED that, as I did so and still am praying. 2. I perceived him as being concerned that his days were numbered; and I ADDRESSED that. 3. Was it not obvious he was concerned with his health? I ADDRESSED that. 4. Did you perceive he felt the truth was being hidden from him? I ADDRESSED that. 5. Did you sense he's not feeling he's understanding God's Word? I ADDRESSED that by stating that peace and understanding go together and can never be found alone. I did so by encouraging him God VALUES him, and by inferring he's worthy in God's Mind, and He is Perfect Love. I also touched on the the Holy Spirit's Voice and the ego's regarding the contrasts.

Is it possible you missed all this, or were you so wrapped up in the plagiarism aspect, that it went in one ear and out the other? It's no wonder you called my post generic.

How much more specificity do you want, based on the 5 SPECIFIC items I addressed. I'm not sure what you want; a book or an essay? No one else replied in that manner.

In regards to not giving credit where it's due, there's only two choices here; the Holy Spirit or the ego. You have the free will to choose; and I respect that, and will not judge you in a negative or positive way. ACIM does not list an author, because there is no earthly one. So if you have a complaint, speak to the Holy Spirit or your ego. I have no desire or inkling to profit from it, other than pursuing a closer relationship with my Creator and the whole Sonship, including you. I couldn't say this in regards to the thousands who profit materialistically from the Bible.

God will never decide against you, or He would be deciding against Himself.

    Peace always

    ABOUT DOGS, Lord GOD said:Is.56:7-12

7...MINE HOUSE shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

8The Lord GOD,which gathers the outcasts of Israel says,Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

9All ye BEASTS OF THE FIELD,COME TO DEVOUR,yea, all ye beasts in the forest-(((beasts in FOREST?Ps.37:15)))-->

((( Revelation 19:17-18 say:-->17And I saw an angel((archangel?))standing in the SUN((Rev.12:1-2&5));and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven,Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great GOD;18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men,and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great-(((Rev.6:14-17)))

10His watchmen are blind:they are all ignorant, they are all DUMB DOGS,they cannot bark;sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11Yea,they are GREEDY DOGS which can never have enough, and THEY ARE SHEPHERDS that cannot understand:they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

12Come ye,say they,I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink;and to morrow shall be as this day,and much more abundant(greater, much more).

    Rev.22:15-For without are DOGS,and sorcerers,and whoremongers,and murderers,and idolaters,and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

    Ph.3:2-Beware of DOGS...

    2Cor.11:12-15

12But what I do,that I will do,that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion;that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14And no marvel;for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers(MINISTERS OF SATAN)also be transformed as ministers of righteousness (preachers of the Word of GOD);whose end shall be according to their works.

Be careful or then get ready

Why does it say in Genesis 1:1 that God created the Heaven and the Earth? but in my older Bible, it says, In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. I think we need to pay attention to what is being taken out of the scripture and what is being added to the scripture, why would it say Heaven in Genesis 1:1 but then it says Heavens in Genesis 2:1. Somebody is messing with the scripture to which will lead to confusion...
  • Duncan - In Reply - 5 months ago
    HI,

    Pray for understanding.

    It is written in

    Revelation 1:3,KJV

    3.Blessed is he that readeth,

and they that hear the words of this prophecy,

and keep those things which are written therein:

for the time is at hand.

My recommendation to all the Christian who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, those using this online tool. Get yourself familiarise with the Hebrew and Greek languages of scripture (interlinear bible) and if By the grace of God Study both Languages

-In the Hebrew the word God and Heaven is revealed to us (Human-Beings) in Plural

-Elohim =GOD which singular Eloah and in Plural ELOHIM.

-Heaven= eshmim which is the heavens in Plural .

-Therefore, when you Read in Genesis 1:20 you will be confronted with this fact God says Let us which is in Plural Indicting One Yet Three in the Scriptures.

-Mind you this Fact is found All over the Scripture and it is written in 1 John 5:7, KJV

7.For there are three that bear record in heaven,

    the Father, the Word, and

the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

(Time is at Hand we are living at the end of days.)

Repent of your sins and do not be deceive Amen.

    ACT 2:38, KJV

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Hi Wkrimes,

Good call on Genesis 1, "Heaven" in one translation and "Heavens" in another. To understand this, I'll contrast my French translation with the English one (I speak French primarily). The French translation said, "In the beginning, God created "Heavens" and earth. Paul later reveals to us that there are three heavens. The 1st heaven is the physical "out of space" limits our eyes can see. In this "heaven" resides the demons, principalities, powers, evil spirits, etc. Remember that the earth is covered with the powers of darkness. In the second heaven (purely spiritual place) lives Satan, the king of demons, where the kingdom of darkness is organized. In the book of Daniel, the angel said he was being held by the prince of "Persia," meaning the prince of this world.

Finally, the third heaven is the dwelling of God. The perfect place where we all long to go, where the saints are living. This is the place that Jesus referred to in John 14 when he said I'll go prepare a place for you. This is the New Jerusalem, where there is no sin, no pain, no sorrow.

To conclude, the first translation referred to the spiritual world as "Heaven," while the second translation preferred to distinguish between those three "Heavens". I hope that helps a bit. Thanks.
  • Oseas - In Reply - 6 months ago
    DrCharlesSaw

You say"the third heaven is the dwelling of God'',but what does the Word of GOD say? Ps.148:4-Praise GOD,ye heavens of heavens(highest heavens),and ye waters that be above the heavens(peoples, and nations, and multitudes of all tongues; so,those which will be above the heavens are them which will be caught up out of the FIRE and be placed in the 3rd Heaven, for the 1st and 2nd heavens will be DISSOLVED- 2Peter 3:12-13,as follow:

12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the Day of GOD(the LORD's Day),wherein the HEAVENS(the 1st and 2nd heavens-THE CELESTIAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS)being on FIRE shall be DISSOLVED,and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? How?Yes, how?It is revealed and explained in Isaiah 33:10-14 combined with Hebrews 12:29 and 10:27.Take a look.

    13Nevertheless we,according to GOD's promise,look for New Heavens(the next is the 3rd heaven- Luke 20:35-36.Take a look) and a new earth(new Israel),wherein dwels righteousness.

As you know, the Word is GOD,self-executing. Romans 9:28-31:

-->28For GOD WILL FINISH the work(the finish of GOD's work is from now on according to the WRATH OF GOD described in Revelation 11:15-18),and He shall cut it short in RIGHTEOUSNESS: because a SHORT WORK will the Lord make upon the earth(even now, from now on, in the last week divided in two halfs of severe and terrible chastisements),as JESUS warned in Matthew 24:22,saying:"Except those days should be SHORTENED,there should no flesh be saved:but for the elect's sake those days shall be SHORTENED

Verse 29-And as Esaias said before,Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed,we had been as Sodoma(as is written in Luke 17:29-30),and been made like unto Gomorrha

30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith

31But Israel, which followed after the Law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness

    That said Get ready

    Oseas:

It's hard to tell by your comments whether you understand the scriptures, or, you are just quoting the scriptures.

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should BE SHORTENED, there should NO FLESH BE SAVED....

Your comments appear to say you believe this is something in the future.

The word says it has all ready BEEN DONE.

Those days were SHORTENED to the time Christ went into the garden, then judged by false witnesses, then by crucifixion, DIED on the cross, resurrected 3 days and 3 nights later, and BY HIS resurrection ALL FLESH WAS SAVED.

You said God will finishes the work.

The work has already BEEN FINISHED.

Nothing can be ADDED to his resurrection, nothing can be TAKEN AWAY from his resurrection.

Do you believe there is something more needed than the RESURRECTION of Christ.

    God BLESS YOU!

Genesis 1:1 is The beginning of the beginning God created the Heaven AND the Earth. But in verse 2 something is amiss. It's void AND empty and there is darkness over the face of the deep AND God's Spirit is moving UPON The face of the waters searching searching searching Prophecy reveals THAT something happened between Genesis 1:1-1:2- The scriptures are complete but our human reason can't understand the work that God makes form beginning to end. Ask yourself this. Where did darkness come from? Where did the deep come from? Where did the waters come from AND why was it all void AND empty? Enough for NOW. Chee on THAT for a spell
  • Wkrimes - In Reply - 6 months ago
My main question is why does it say in Genesis 1:1 " In the beginning, God created the [Heaven] and the Earth" when in many older Bibles it says " [Heavens] and Earth" Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth/ 1:1/ The "heavens and earth" refer to the universe as we know it (i.e., the sky above with all that is in it and the earth below). There is no one word in Hebrew for "universe." This is a figure of speech (merism) for totality; God created everything. The translators often rendered the Hebrew word 'eres (earth) as "land." By translating it this way we can see that Moses wanted his readers to realize that God created and therefore owned all land (cf. 12:7 and all subsequent references to the Promised Land; Ps. 24:1).[24]

    Hi Wkrimes,

Genesis 1:1 The Hebrew word shamayim meaning heaven, heavens, sky, and lofty, is in the Bible over 400 times and it is masculine plural. The Hebrew word for water is mayim it is also masculine plural, due to ending in im. They are plural nouns but can be dual, as the names of people and places in the Bible end in im. Translating it into English would depend on the context.

Some translations have heavens, and some have heaven but what is Genesis 1:1 saying? Some say this includes all three heavens, some even put a gap between verses 1 and 2, but what beginning is this? The third heaven is where God's throne and the angelic beings are, they were already there. They were before this world and universe as we see in Job 38:4-7 so this is our beginning, not the beginning of all creation.

My understanding is this verse is the introduction to the creation of the things that can be seen that are temporal that one day will all be made new. What I see is God waved His hand and all that is in our universe and our world was created and it all was in darkness and chaos. Nothing was formed or brought forth into order, the light shined into the darkness, light was the first day, the beginning of order that we see take place in the following verses.

    God bless,

    RLW
