    Psalm 4:5

    King James Version

5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in theLord.

I believe that Christ offered himself for a sacrifice for burnt offerings, and peace offerings .

    Revelation 19:6

6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

    GOD IS IN CONTROL

We can write everything off, and say "GOD IS IN CONTROL", but the main thing, is keeping the main thing, the main thing, and that's you want GOD in control of YOU. I want God in control of me.

How do we do that? What can I invest into the kingdom, that will assure GOD's hand will be indefinite, and complete control over my life? Because, I don't want to steer the ship of my life. I'm GLAD when GOD is behind the wheel, because He takes me, and leads me beside still waters. There's peace, everlasting peace, and I need HIS peace. I don't want conflict, or evil to visit me, but I know if I'm the one behind the helm, I'm destined to go off course, and end up shipwrecked.

So what's the answer? It's easy to quote the verse "trust in the LORD with ALL THINE HEART"

We say "yes", and "AMEN", because we know that that's the way to go. We understand that is the only way to go.

Yet, how come so many of us are failing to do that very thing. To "LEAN NOT" to our own foolish, and limited understanding.

We're limited in our thinking. Some may be very skilled in being able to think fast, but I guarantee you, it's NOT GOING TO BE FAST ENOUGH! You will be challenged, and there will come a time when you'll sit at a fork in the road, frozen and you'll wonder "What am I going to do?" It's bound to happen. Why? The reason is simple. Because "GOD IS IN CONTROL", it's HIS world, and only HIS ways can determine a successful outcome.

We can gamble with life, and even tempt GOD to the point where we become so lost, and it'll be like that child in the woods, that because you chose to do it your way, because I chose to do it my way, I can't find the way back.

Yes, our God is merciful, and there's no doubt that when we get into those types of situations we can cry out to God, and God will rescue us. But we ought not test the limits of our God's mercy, and grace.

So how do we do it? What's the key element. We want to be GEARED to GOD's will.

    Gear me LORD! Gear me!

God's word is the way lover that the Heavenly Father shows his grace, kindness, and mercy to the regretted soul and is willing to change for the best life in Jesus Christ.

97MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

98Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

What does the Bible say about, "The wearing of jewelry"
  • Biblepreacher12 - In Reply - 5 months ago
    1st Peter 3:1] Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

[2] While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

    [3] Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

[4] But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Isaiah 3:17] Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

[18] In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

[19] The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

[20] The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,

[21] The rings, and nose jewels,

[22] The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

[23] The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

[24] And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

    Sharon51051,

I am in agreement with what GiGi has shared and if I might "piggyback" and share something, in 1 Timothy 2:9-10, Paul gives instructions concerning dress.

To adorn means to dress. In fact, the Greek word is where we get our word cosmetics from. To put on an appearance would be a good general description of what he's saying here. Modest apparel is something that's orderly, acceptably, and decent.

The word shamefacedness is an old English word representing the Greek word that has to do with orderly or Godly fear.

Paul goes on to say not with broided, or braided hair. This has to do with that in those times, the women would braid their hair and then wrap it up into a bun. They used to call it the "bee-hive."

So they would wrap their hair up on top of their head, and then they would weave jewelry in and out of it. And then they would go to church. Do you think anyone's going to notice them? Oh yes!

But you see, that's the whole point here. With braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly garments. But be presentable in that which becomes women who profess godliness that they belong to God, through good works. The word good (Agathos) is spiritual good.

In essence, what he's saying is don't be a distraction. Don't try to "gussy" yourself up to look your absolute best so that people would notice you.

On the other hand, don't try to dress as lousy as you can so that people notice you. People are going to notice you and be distracted from the purpose of being there, which is to learn of the Lord and worship Him, and have fellowship together.

    God bless!!!

    Hi Sharon,

In Genesis you can read how Isaac's servant, Eliezar, took jewelry with him to the family of Rebekkah and when taking her for Isaac's wife, put bracelets, necklaces and a ring in her nose. This was customary practice for that time and was not disallowed by Scripture.

In Paul's epistle, he does speak of women adorning themselves with humility and godliness, as opposed to the proud way women displayed themselves at that time with fine jewels and clothing and hairstyles. He was not prohibiting the wearing of such things, but speaking to the way a Christian woman should wish to be adorned inwardly, in her character that shows forth in her way of life, which commends her to others, whether she wears jewelry, braids her hair, or by her clothing. The inward character defines a person, not what is shown outwardly as far as fashion.

Did you know that can have the most grandest of titles over your name, and be the most sought after in your field.

As a preacher you can preach the greatest message, and be loved of all.

You can have degrees, and be skilled in writing, and be the most influential, and still have your name blotted out of the LAMBS book of life.

All those things are good, but unfortunately not good enough for our LORD.

    My credentials are in heaven.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 5 months ago
Very true, Amasuca, our pedigree or credentials do not merit us anything before God.

yet, we are to study and show ourselves approved of God. So, we are not to turn away from study of God's Word, using the mind God blessed us with to understand what the Spirit is teaching us in our studies. And if we are able to write thoughtful words that align with Scripture, that skill can be used of God to help others understand spiritual ideas. If we have a gift for orating, then God can use that speech to help others learn and mature in Christ. We should apply ourselves in every way God avails to take hold of the truth of Scripture and to draw near to God in Christ. We can train our minds to learn from Scripture, the preaching and teaching of others, and from our times of quietly meditating on the things of God while the Holy Spirit fills us with understanding in all of these instances.

It is better to become literate than to remain illiterate. Being literate and able to read and reason allows us to not only learn from Scripture but also to be discerning of what others say about God and His Word, being able to recognize false teaching from true teaching.

Yet, God is above and beyond our abilities or lack thereof and is more than able to bring truth to our inward being. He is the One who provides and allows us to come to know the truth and Him in Jesus Christ.

I typed this in a hurry. It was a thought that came to me this morning, and I felt led of God to share it.

There is a BOOK it's the LAMBS book of life. Your name needs to be there, and so does mine.

You must've not read were I typed "All those things are good", but I get it.

We can justify ourselves, or we can be justified by the only who can do that for us.

I make no apologies for my comment. I did read yours. However it didn't convince me of anything more important

than having my name written in the LAMBS book of LIFE.

My intention was not to convey anything other than that. "All those things are good" but the most important thing

above all else is that your name is written in the that BOOK. The LAMBS BOOK of LIFE.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 5 months ago
    Hello, Amasuca,

Oh my, I was not criticizing what you wrote. I am sorry if it seemed that way. I wrote what was prompted in my spirit to write in response to you, just as you wrote what you were prompted to say. So, we both can learn from each other's posts. The Holy Spirit works in and through us.

And yes, having our names in the Lamb's Book of Life is what we should be thankful for every day we walk with Jesus. Knowing that God has written our name in this book reminds us of how great our salvation in and through Jesus is in contrast to what our unredeemed life before conversion would bring us in at the judgment seat of God. We can be so glad that God did all the work of saving us and if He had not done so, every human person that ever lived would be judged guilty and condemned to the lake of fire forever!

None of us are any more special than the next person; the difference is that we are in Jesus and unbelievers are not; we are justified before God having the righteousness of Jesus given to us and our sins removed whereas unbelievers have their sins remain on them to condemn them; we have eternal life in the best way because we believe Jesus and unbelievers have eternity in punishment unless they repent and believe the Gospel.

Knowing that we are in the Lamb's Book of Life is God's witness that He has declared us redeemed and saved from sin, death, the evil one, and condemnation for our sins. How wonderful is that!

    The LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE

Something amazing about that BOOK. Do you know why it's called the LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE?

It is filled with the names of those of us who have LIFE, the LIFE of the BLESSED SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

FULL of LIFE! Abundant LIFE! John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly." What does it mean to have LIFE more abundant?

To be FULL of the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, and to have HIS name written on our foreheads though the circumcision not made with hands Colossians 2:11 "In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:" May we endeavor to keep to HIS fullness for we are complete in HIM. Colossians 2:10

Being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16

Our hope is in JESUS, and not in the things of this world. So, yes, we prepare, and we equip ourselves as soldiers in the army of God, prepared for battle. Yet, we lean NOT on our own strength, but on His everlasting arms, because He is our strength, our shield.

We study to show ourselves approved of GOD. For we are not those who seek honor from men, but the honor that comes from God alone, and he gives us favor. "So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man." Proverbs 3:4

He is the MASTER potter, and we are the clay. May our lives be honorable unto Him, and him alone. For He alone is worthy to be praised. I magnify His name. His glorious name JESUS. All powerful is our LORD, and Savior Jesus Christ.

The grace of our Lord and Savior be with you. Amen

YOU CANNOT HAVE FAITH WITHOUT PRODUCING GOOD WORKS.

James, 1:25- But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed

James, 2:14- What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

James, 2:18- 18] Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

James, 2:22-Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

James, 2:24 -Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

James, 2:26-For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

    EVENTUALLY

If works are not present after knowing the truth in the word of God and accepting it, it is because your faith is false.

(Faith = believe)in the word of God and put it into(practice = works)so the works come automatically otherwise it is faith does not come from God and this faith cannot save you!!

    THE FAITH

    GRACE

    REPENTANCE

    PRACTICE GOOD WORKS

    BAD WORK = SIN

GOOD WORK = SAVE AND SANCTIFY

It is good works that demonstrate that a person is saved

    You cannot(BELIEVE = FAITH)in the word without

(PRACTICE = WORK)and you cannot(PRACTICE = WORK)without having heard, received and believed in the word.

Pay attention to what follows to fully understand all of the words of the Lord who teaches us in righteousness and mercy through his son Jesus Christ.

ATTENTION: Beware of false teachers, pastors, prophets.

    HERE IS THE CONTROVERSIAL VERSE

Ephesians, 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

    (it is by grace that you are saved);

    FOR WHAT

Because it is used without taking into consideration the entire Bible.

LET'S START, FOLLOW ME WITH YOUR BIBLE!

Titus, 1:16 They professthat they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Ephesians, 2:10- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians, 1:6 - Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Hebrews, 13:21 - 21] Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Titus, 2:7- In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing

    Colossians, 1:10- That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

    WARNING

Romans, 13:12 -The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the worksof darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Ephesians, 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works ofdarkness, but rather reprove them.

    GOD JUDGES WHAT????

1 Peter, 1:17- 17] And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Romans, 2:6 - Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

YOU CANNOT HAVE FAITH WITHOUT PRODUCING GOOD WORKS.

    The morning commute.

There are many scriptures regarding the light. God separated light from darkness in His wisdom. The Son shines his light on that which is his and gives it glory. The Christian is a reflection of His light always giving honor and glory back to God in Christ Jesus. The Christian cannot resist this light so that darkness cannot comprehend it. God is the father of lights and we are of this light if our refection is true. His light was revealed and reflected from the Cross if we believe.

    Revelation 1:1

    Revelation of JESUS Christ,which GOD gave unto Him,to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass;

Three angels proclaim the righteous Judgment of GOD

Revelation 14:6-13 (Compare with Gen.18 -Three angels visited Abraham before destruction of Sodoma)

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7 Saying with a loud voice,Fear GOD and give glory to Him;for the hour of His Judgment is come:and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea,and the fountains of waters.

8 And there followed another angel, saying,Babylon is fallen,is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,If any man worship the Beast and His image, and receive his mark in his forehead,or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the WRATH of GOD,which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation;and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

    Genesis 18:1-33&19:12-17&27-29

    - First, the Lord appeared unto Abraham in the plains of Mamre:and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;And he lift up his eyes and looked, and,lo, three MEN stood by him:and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

    - Soon after,Abraham offered the three MEN a delicious lunch,in fact a banquet, and stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

    - And they asked unto Abraham:Where is Sarah thy wife?I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life;and,lo,Sarah thy wife shall have a son

    - The Lord also said:Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do? they rose up from thence and looked toward Sodom:Abraham asked: Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

The Wiseman were around to give gifts for the new king of the Jews Jesus. It is not important for salvation of what happened or became of them. The Wiseman gave Jesus gold, frankincense and mirth. Gifts for a king.

Ecc 8:4] Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

John 6:63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus words are spirit and life, John 6:63 that is some power. Today, in Christ Jesus we are kings, we are a royal priesthood we can decree things.

1st Peter 2:9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

[10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

    Rev 1:4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

[6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

That is some power as we are in Chrust kings and priests. The Wiseman were never spoken of again in the bible after Matthew 2.

You're right. It's "order out of chaos". The powers that be are behind this mess.

Anyway, Jesus wept over Jerusalem and said "your house is left unto you desolate". The Israelites failed in their duty to be priests to the world. In ad 70, the job was transferred to gentiles. Spiritual Israelyou and meall who believe. We are scattered throughout the world, and waiting to be gathered.

Israel has historical real estate. But, God is no longer there.

    Perfect People Part 2

Luke 6:40] The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

John 17:23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

    After:

Acts 3:16] And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Romans 12:2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1st Cor 2:6] Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

1st Cor 1:10] Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Philippians 3:15] Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Col 1:28] Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

2nd Timothy 3:17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Hebrews 13:20] Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

[21] Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Amen, when the preacher behind the pulpit does not believe in perfection, neither will the church. The man of God has to be perfect, unlike what we hear today unbelief.
  • Hammer63 - In Reply - 5 months ago
Thank you! The seed that was sown among thorns never brought fruit to perfection also. Also, St. John 1 said we have received of his fulness. I thought I was the only one that ran across the scriptures you gave. It is easier life to live under the cross and our failures than to follow the gospel be transformed by the Holy Spirit and live under His direction. The keep continuing in failure is really no better than the old law. Hebrews 10:1 "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect".
  • Amasuca - In Reply - 5 months ago
Amen! If it wasn't possible, Jesus would've never said it.

Perfect people in the bible, do they exist or is Jesus the only perfect one? We hear so much about how only Jesus is perfect from almost every Christian and yet, they can not find any scripture or any verse to back up their false claim. The apostle Paul said this:

Titus 1:16] They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Christanity rebells when they have to be perfect thry immediately pass it on to Jesus when Jesus preached in Matthew 5:48 we (human beings) have to be perfect even as our Father which is in heaven is perfect. Why does Christanity argue agianst Jesus? Because they were never told the truth. Let's look in the bible to find more perfect people before, during and after, Jesus. Adam and Eve were in Genesis 1&2 before thry heard another gospel in Genesis 3 from Rev Serpant/Rev Devil.

Before: Genesis 6:9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 17:1] And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Deuteronomy 18:13] Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

Job 1:1] There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

2nd Chronicals 16:9] For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Psalm 37:37] Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

    During Jesus:

Matthew 1:[19] Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Mark 1:15] And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

The apostle Paul knew what it was to follow after Jesus. Paul could not literally follow Jesus in the flesh as most churches are preaching in vain and teaching as if Jesus is still walking the face of the earth. The apostle Paul said this:

1st Cor 11:1] Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

This is not the only instance in the bible Paul said such a thing, there are other places.

1st Cor 4:16] Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

Philippians 3:17] Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

1st Thess 1:[6] And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

Amen, Jesus never preached to follow after him, he preached to follow after his words and not his person as his words are spirit and life John 6:63. We follow after Jesus' words as Jesus is no longer around to be followed in person.

2nd Cor 5:16] Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The apostle Paul knew that he could not follow Jesus in person but had to follow after that voice from heaven that gave him words to preach. The apostle Paul never met Jesus in person, he did hear his voice and seen a light and that was it. The apostle Paul knew he had to follow after new directives from the Holy Ghost. We see many people trying to find Jesus or try to follow him and it is in vain as Jesus is not around to be followed, he has to be in you, and that is from his words by faith as faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God Romans 10:17.

Repent, and believe the Gospel of Christ's words Romans 1:16-17.

    Micah 7:7

    King James Version

7Therefore I will look unto theLord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

    SALVA'TION, n.L. salvo, to save.

    1. The act of saving; preservation from destruction, danger or great calamity.

    2. Appropriately in theology, the redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness. This is the great salvation.

Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation. 2Cor. 7.

    3. Deliverance from enemies; victory. Ex. 14.

    4. Remission of sins, or saving graces. Luke 19.

    5. The author of man's salvation. Ps. 27.

    6. A term of praise or benediction. Rev. 19.

I hear and see this scripture alot in my life and thank God to have the free gift of salvation not to boast in the Lord not to take for granted for the privilege for nothing to come against me to have what I'm saying or want and excel. So I have faith and believe in every current day that nothing will come against me and if so about it will be removed and erased.

This reminds me of the song You are God-Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis ft. Michelle Prather. Yeah I like to feel like God and I have God in me .God word has to happen in my life exceeding and abundantly.

John 9:31] Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Christianity all around the world believe for the most part God loves them and they are saved by grace and yet they still sin. This is not what the bible says at all in John 9:31. The blind man was kicked out of church for preaching the truth. This is something that was known and not some new doctrine or directive issued by the church council or church meetings that God does not hear the prayer of sinners. The ex-blind man who went to church all his life never read the book of the law as brail was not invented yet for people to read. Yet, he heard something from behind the pulpit that stood out in his mind, unlike any other verse or scripture. I believe Isaiah 59:1-2 was reinforced into his mind over and over again in order for the ex-blind man to come up with the truth.

Isaiah 59:1] Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

[2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

The ex-blind man was excommunicated from his church for preaching the truth. You go down and preach what the ex-blind man in John 9 preached and you will be out in the street. Churches don't want to hear God does not hear the prayers of sinners. Churches want to indulge in their riot with their ungodly events and way of living for the devil up to their neck in sin and unrighteousness. To get churches to go back to the old ways of revival like Jeremiah 6:16 will never happen, as they have tasted too much of the world and the devil's delights and are not interested in engaging with the words of Jesus Christ which are spirit and life John 6:63. All sin is of the devil 1st John 3:8. Tge wages or payment is called hellfire and brimstone Romans 6:23. I am an ex-sinner saved by grace, an ex-sinner is a righteous person Romans 6:18.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, PREACHED UNTO THE GENTILES, BELIEVED ON IN THE WORLD, RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY.

    1 Timothy 3:16.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16.

When "ALL" scripture is Allegorized or interpreted mystically it is NOT able to be profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

    There is the difference.

One is just so happen to be correct.

Christ sheep does not leave the back door open for the wolves to come in because they hate the sheep fold.

    God bless.

Christian Greetings GIGI, I like your thoughts, especially about the circle that is here in this little online fellowship! Here we can try to express our understandings without a face or a smile or handshake and it is good. I began with the thought of sacredness of life and its various relationships in doctrine and practice of the Church in the visible form. With bodies! Sacred is holy and a new born member of the living church is known by name and perhaps family. Paul noted that brethren gave he and Barnabus "the right hand of fellowship". This greeting is good but misses the depth of the bond of love in the practice of the holy kiss. Members can know (the practice still sometimes used is brothers with brothers and sisters with sisters with a dry kiss) the mutual love and rich blessing on occasion.

I think this scripture is an important foundation to the sacredness of life and the holy salutation (by the lips).

"Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart feverently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever" 1 Peter 1:22-23

It is the pureness of this kiss because such a change was made that passes that unfeigned love and it makes for unity by the Spirit.

This practice for those that practice it at all is hard on the flesh and therefore somewhat rare in occurence. It takes a little extra grace to move from the name and handshake and initiate the Kiss. So then the Holy Kiss is related not only to the sacredness of life but also to the very present Church of believers and the lack of resistance by grace by the flesh to heed to the spiritual.

    My after lunch thoughts.

    :)
