This verse jumped out at me:

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:" Philippians 2:9 KJV

"above every name". Even above Jehovah?

"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." Psalms 83:18 KJV

Jehovah's name was the highest name before.

I'm posting this for input not as a trivia question.

It seems to say that the name of Jesus after His sacrifice was placed above the name of Jehovah, do you believe this and if so should this reality affect our Christian walk?

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

    Dearest Adam

The Word is GOD the Father, around 2000 years ago He was made flesh in the womb of a virgin(For with GOD nothing is impossible), and the NAME that GOD chose for He Himself was JESUS, understand? Acts 4:11-12:->11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Yes indeed, GOD the Father also hath highly exalted JESUS, and given Him a NAME which is above every name: Ph.2:9 KJV

In fact, JESUS or JOSHUA is the only NAME of GOD, and it is above every name.

You asked: Even above Jehovah? Well, well, who is Jehovah? Jehovah is the name of the father of the Jews, don't you know? It is what JESUS, the own GOD made flesh, said to the Jews: John 8:44-45

But Jeovah is not the only name of the father of the Jews. They invented several names for their god mainly in the modern world. In antiquity there were several names of god, to this day there is even the star of the god Remphan on the flag of the current esoteric and kabbalist and spiritualist Israel(the star of David has nothing to do with the current witchkraft of the Jews), whose country to this day is full of idolatries and sorcery, the holy city today is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt.

By the way, in the begining of October 2023, I posted here to GIANNIS saying to him that YHWH, Jehovah, Yahweh, Yehovah, Elohim, Adonai, HaShem, Yahusha, YEHshia, YEHvah, these names are not NAMES of GOD, quite the opposite, all these names listed are strictly the names of the Devil, or NICKNAMES of Devil.

I don't quite understand why people lend credence to Kabbalistic and esoteric, and spiritists sources to speculate GOD's NAME. Think about it. Tares will now be cast into the fire to be burned for everlasting time.

Be careful and get ready to meet JESUS- Matthew 25:6-13

    GOD BLESS

    Greetings Oseas,

I respect your posts and think I have agreed with most I've noticed in the past, but your two paragraphs starting with "By the way" has me puzzled.

Can you please share how you arrived at that belief and how you interpret verses mentioning that name in verses like Isaiah 12:2?

    Hi Adam,

Holy is his name, and Mary is referring God. As the Word become flesh Jesus claimed 'I and my Father are one.(John10:30)

In his humanity he was faithful and true witness to the Word. In his resurrection he triumphed over death. God gave him a name cannot be greater than holiness which is His nature. "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:/That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;/And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."(Ph.2:9-11)

    "Free-Will"

God called the whole mankind. It cannot be otherwise since Fellowship of God with Man was by a decree and the Man component represents the whole. (Ps.2:7-8).

The Man signifies the Slain Lamb before the worlds began. It is an emblem that shall be found in the new heaven and the earth where the Throne of God and of Lamb is called Zion. This Man component where the Son is the Saviour of the World, and not for a few shall allow only those who join with him by covenant (Ps.50:4). He is designated a saint and the elect.

After setting word in the heart God gave man a choice.

"See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil." (De.30:15)

Predestination is consequently conditional. "Choose life and we are set on a different time frame than that of the flesh and blood." Misconception of predestination as taught by some sects makes Atonement a feeble copy of God's glory. For the same reason denying free will would be heresy. We have its perfect example in Jesus. He was God the Son and yet he obeyed God. Free will was not his personal glory but laying it for the greater glory of his Father. He did so he fitted the expression, 'the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Re.13:8)'. So predestination of God is Obedience on the part of the Son for the glory of the father. It must be thus with every one who would be called child of God.

In the parable of the Two Sons (Mt.21:28-31) the elder refused to go to the vineyard. His free will allowed him to say no to his father. But he regretted of letting down his father so he went to the vineyard after all. In his obedience he glorified his Father. His younger brother paid lip service to his father but exercised his free will. From this we have the significance of predestination and free will.

    "Firstborn, the slaughter of the"

Here we have a clear proof that the divine Will of the Father is complete since the fulfilling aspect of it is devolved on the Son. God is one. ("Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord"-De.6:4) In its function the Wisdom aspect must work with the Power principle of God so Trinity explains power and glory of the eternal God. In short order of the kingdom of God is the Law or the Word. John 1:1 states that the Word was with God. On the contrary Satan is the father of confusion. Satan sins from the beginning so Jesus Christ was manifest to destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever has resisted him is the son of perdition. Then as now.

In the divine Will the Lamb slain before the foundation of the Word is determined. Against that we need consider all the martyrs from Abel onwards to which Jesus alludes at the end of woe to ye discourse in Matt.23. God the Father had made provisions for the collateral damage of sin. Against the slain Lamb before the foundation of the world slaughter of the firstborn has to be weighed. Who shall accuse God of genocide or crime against humanity.

By the same token how shall we compare the murder of six million Jews in the 20th century by what whole scale slaughter in Gaza or in West Bank being carried out with impunity? God has set his Son as the slain Lamb for the whole mankind. God is the Judge.

Concluding statements on the "emotions" of God related to His covenants

It has been said that the book of Revelation is the "Grand Central Station" of scripture. Here we see His righteous 144,000 and their entourage of countless multitudes which overcome; and the return of Christ where He rules and reigns from Jerusalem (as stated in Revelation 19-21) and finally the last chapter which goes to the eternal state. The struggle of Israel at that time is brought forth in Revelation 12 with the woman and the other signs of the sun and moon and stars.

When considering the extent of God's wrath we understand it is eternal (and conversely also for all the saved saints enjoying bliss in heaven). Man was made with eternity in their hearts ( Ecclesiastes 3:11) as God Himself is eternal who is their Creator. The seemingly volatile and unhinged behavior that many outside the faith blame the God of the Bible of having is in reality evidence of His longsuffering; we see a preview of hell for the first time literally in the book of Numbers 16:22-35. This was due to the sons of Korah attempting to be part of the priesthood and to usurp the authority of Moses. We see evidences of the people attempting to intercede to stop more widespread destruction in verses 22 to 24 with some success; also in verses 45 through 48 Moses didn't have to ask what to do after God promised widespread judgment; he was allowed to intercede standing in front of the Lord between the dead and living (v. 48). These chapters are interesting and warrant further study as to things that are purified and made holy and in light of the present observations more I'm sure could be deduced.

These and other passages show that the Lord offers a way out from His wrath in His prescribed methodology only. The rebellion the day after people literally were swallowed up and sent to hell because of being annoyed with Moses for God being angry and following through on His threats serves as a warning to us all.

"Emotions of God" as related to Moses (cont).

The act of intercession; therefore is something crucial to communication throughout scripture that indeed gives us some insight of Hebrews 7:25 (He ever lives to intercede for us). Daniel also repeated this theme in Daniel 9:8-10. God's promise here was the prophetic insight given in Jeremiah 29:10. God stated this would happen; so it appears to be a done deal. There was no promise how many would do this; as is evident from the small group that initially rebuilt the wall; and the disobedience of many was seen with marriages to foreign wives. No doubt worldliness had affected the hearts of those who should have remembered the prosperity God gave them in Babylon and His promises to return after that time. It is a wonder that confession of the sins of church congregations isn't given much attention as compared to particulary egregious ones of individuals as it still affects the overall witness as we see from exhortations written for the churches in Revelation 2 and 3; for example.

Look at God's faithfulness to Israel as stated in Jeremiah 31:36 where the courses of nature would have to change with the sun and moon for God to abandon His covenant promises. In fact the only covenant changed is that related to the method of worship with the law and sacrifices which was of course replaced by the perfect sacrifice under Christ which abolished therefore the old ordinances. (see Hebrews 9-10). The object of worship was therefore Christ; God had stated in Isaiah 1:11; see also Psalm 69:31.

In understanding the New Covenant we should perceive that it is still the same God with the same characteristics today that existed in the Old Testament from eternity. We would on the surface expect that to be a "no brainer"; but how often do we see the fear of God demonstrated as in Acts 5:1-11 with Ananias and Sapphira? Our commitments to God should not be of fools ( Ecclesiastes 5:4). See Matthew 5:33-35 for ungodly vows.

The "emotions" of God: Covenant of Abraham

When examining this covenant promising the land to Abraham (actually to his descendants eventually who would actually own the land) starting in Genesis 15; we notice that what this had in common with Adam's covenant was the fact that the recipient was put into a deep sleep; in neither case did either party have anything to do with it; it was therefore God swearing by Himself (again showing in the Trinity there was more than one witness involved; perhaps alluded to in Deut. 19:15; Heb. 6:13).

Genesis 16:18-33 we have the famous interchange between Abraham and the Lord over the matter of preserving Lot if there were 50 righteous men; down to the total of 10 where Abraham finally stopped nagging God on the subject for the lack of a better description. Here we have a perfect example of chastisement of Lot during the ensuing judgment where he later escapes as through through the skin of his teeth. Abraham no doubt was considering this situation as it is unlikely anyone else in that wicked place would be on his mind. We also see through the two angels that went on to see if things were as reported to God the idea of authority; and the fact that God cannot look onto sin.

In the situation of Moses pleading with God not to destroy everyone in the wilderness and start a new nation through Moses

in Deuteronomy 9:14 the Lord actually says to leave Him alone to do this. We can take this as rhetoric to initiate a response; but this apparent conflict with sovereignty is our problem not God's: we haven't the right to bend scripture around things that seem out of character in our minds. This should give us insight into how the Godhead operates; again Christ's sacrifice keeps us from the wrath of God and His role in the Godhead was clearly distinct from the Father. It shows clearly that God wants us to remind Him of His covenant; that is good application to a marriage struggle when praying for healing and restoration.

    Hi Johnny,

You showed strength by hanging on so far. Life can be tough because you are only in shape because you took hard knocks yourselves. Now you have come to the hardest part. Simply leave it to God and trust that He was all along walking unseen how far you would do it by your own strength. "I am the Life" He said. I found it simply amazing. You will also if you let him. What you must get done today, do it with firm hand as best as you know how. God helps a cheerful giver, in this sense you have taken so much and now enough is enough and give it with God as your help. May God help you. I pray now a prayer for you. Believe He is good. Amen

The "emotions" of God: Covenant relationships and their implications.

My previous posting mentioned covenants as a major facet in explaining the reactions of God toward His own children as a focus but having repercussions for the whole earth. God has established this world itself for eternal purposes; and He will have a new heaven and earth to eventually rectify the sin issue once and for all. Death; of course entered the picture and marred everything on earth and even apparently in the heavens as even the stars aren't pure in His sight ( Job 25:5).

The first "marriage" may not seem as such without any formal ceremony but nonetheless God designed it with Eve being taken out of man to be a permanent covenant. They would of course have lived forever without sin (likely without the tree of life) but nonetheless they would have ensured it by eating from that tree. But they were entranced with another; that of the knowledge of good and evil. Of course that name basically is something Satan implied it represented; God had just said not to eat the tree in the midst of the garden without going into further detail. My point here is that this covenant between man and woman to be repeated up to this day was originally designed to be for life and like all other covenants we can violate it or apparently "break" it but on God's end it remains binding. This goes to any scriptural vows where God's name is invoked as well (although that can be permanent). Since man sinned death now is the only permissible way this lifetime commitment can be broken the way I see it.

I have discussed before the situation with the Gibeonites who tricked Israel to make a covenant with them and it was therefore binding as to the terms agreed on. These terms exist with property covenants as well; and also to the Promised Land as promised to the Patriarchs to this day (again some would argue with that). This gives God's hot wrath an explanation to this day for enemy invaders.

    "Firstborn"

'Israel, my Firstborn' (Ex.4:22) According to the eternal purpose, which God purposed in Christ the nation was called. (Ep.3:11). According to the pattern that God showed Moses it is clear that it was the fellowship of God with Man was the basis. It served the pattern for all the tabernacles from the first to the eternity. "Behold the tabernacle of God is with men"(Re.21:3). Israel and the Gentiles were foreknown equally

'Firstborn from the dead' referred to his Son; and the condition was any man who allowed to be conformed to the image of his Son. "For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers (Ro.8:29). Israel in rejecting him was tantamount to Esau spurning his birth-right.

Conforming to the image of His Son entails his death and resurrection so the way the Son took presents a newness of life for the believer. Atonement of Jesus Christ covers those who have received him by faith, regardless of Jews or Gentiles. God's deep purpose has been revealed since the outpouring of the Spirit signalled a new body, not of the flesh but of the Spirit. "And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence (Col.1:18; Re.1:5)."

'O Lord, save thy people, the remnant of Israel "(Je.31:7 and they shall find grace. "How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? For the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man (Je.31:22)". It is no longer Israel as their firstborn but the Church as the Bride of Christ, in which Israel shall have a part.

    The Festival of Trumpets vv.23-25

This was a holy convocation, which the Israelite observed and also was heard by one other. The word of God is not only in your heart and was also heard. You spoke as Christ in you did speak; you also did all for the glory of God and even as Christ did, forgiving one other and in humility so you are seen as lights as effective witnesses of Christ. 'You are not to do any servile work' Servile work, and what does it mean? As epistles of Christ in your fleshy heart are you to ride the coattails of politicians of the day? Neither do you for some mead of praise and silver in your pocket, water down the Gospel of Christ.

This festival was celebrated at the beginning of the month Tisri, the first month of the civil year.

"Also at your times of rejoicing-your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts-you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings,"(Nu.10:10; 29:1-6)

    Day of Atonement vv. 26-32

    (See under A-Atonement)

    The Festival of Tabernacles vv.33-44

"Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:,/ That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God./ And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

'That your generations may know,' This is the commandment of God who is a Spirit. Living in a visible world only speaks part of the reality, which is our fellowship with God. We are bearing about also a spiritual space where truth is written in our inward parts. Heart it is called. How big is it? It all depends how deep your faith is.

Truth is what infinite mind of God has invested in the world of the Spirit, which is signified by heart. Where your treasure is where your heart will be found. Parable of the Rich Fool shows us a heart where not an inch of space could be found for God. He was not rich towards God for this reason.

    Ex.12:15-22 "The Festival of Weeks

The priest waving sheaf of the grains from the harvest refer to Christ and the first fruits. They are as one. Second meaning of wave offering is literal, joyful acknowledgement of all His blessings as in the case of the crowd that followed Jesus in his triumphal entry into Jerusalem waving palms.

"Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord. "Here notice the word 'morrow,' which refers to the new heaven and the new earth for which we die while in bodies. New birth is what Christ has promised,' Behold, I make all things new'.

Water baptism is a symbolic act to confess that we are no more servants to sin but our bodies as clean vessels are unto honour and glory of God. The rule 'Be not conformed to the world' (Ro.12:1-2) applies to everyone so his heavenly places are not voids but branches of the true vine, abounding in fruits of the Spirit. New meat offering is by those who have made themselves living sacrifices so they have a reasonable service to show for.

"Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the first-fruits unto the Lord." (v.17)

Two wave loaves of same weight and quality. Here the leaven indicates the working of the Word, and uniformity of loaves is what Man the message does in each body, mind and soul.

Waving as in the case of sheaves of wheat covers our calling as well as election. The passage through the sea "For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea (1 Co.10:1) foreshadows baptism by water. The Spirit brings by such instances the manner we have been predestined by God before the worlds began so our calling has not been in vain.

Could someone tell me what is going on when the Pope himself has condone same sex marriage and God himself said no to it and there are several books that state this fact. 1) Leviticus 18:22, 2) Leviticus 20:13 and 3) Deuteronomy 22:5. I feel that since the Pope has done this the religion he represents doesn't represent Jehovah God and he has brought inequity into the fold and those that wish to follow him will condemn there selves.
  • Adam - In Reply - 2 months ago
It's my opinion that the Pope and its Vatican city empire are not Christian. I think many well-meaning Catholics are Christian though- if they truly follow Jesus. However, just like Mormonism, when you start peeling back the layers of its administration, you see massive corruption and violation of God's word in the organization.

Many Catholics hold Mary to a higher position than Jesus and even worship graven images. There's plenty of photo and video proof of people worshipping, praying to, and bowing down to statues of Mary- very common in Latin America and many places. Millions and millions do this. There's also strange gargoyles and images of demons on old Catholic church buildings which makes you wonder what is really behind that.

Lots of well-meaning protestants also teach their kids to worship Santa Claus so there is plenty of sin and corruption to go around. Even putting pagan symbols in the churches, like Christmas trees. I've never understood the thinking behind that.
  • Tntnival - In Reply - 2 months ago
Adam thank you for your reply, I totally agree with you on everything you said I have researched most holidays and they derived from pagan rituals. Again thank you and God bless everyone.
  • Momsage - In Reply - 2 months ago
So the POPE, the great one himself, has declared that God said that same sex marriages are approved by God??? What other lies do you suppose the doctrine is lying about? The answer is simple; everything - you are talking about Catholicism, one of the most lying, false doctrines invented by the devil for the ruin of the human soul.

    God Bless :)
  • Tntnival - In Reply - 2 months ago
Thank you for your comment Monsage, I don't believe that the Pope is speaking for God allowing for same sex marriages and the Pope isn't great, matter of fact I believe the the Pope is Satan himself. I lost my faith in Catholic religion a long time ago and have been searching for a long time for the "true" religion but I find fault in most that I have researched. Its hard in these days and times to find the narrow road with all that is happening in the world today. I pray everyday for Jehovah's kingdom and wait patiently hoping all will find the right path to everlasting life. God Bless everyone.
  • Momsage - In Reply - 2 months ago
"I don't believe that the Pope is speaking for God allowing for same sex marriages and the Pope isn't great, matter of fact I believe the the Pope is Satan himself." I don't believe he speaks for God either and, indeed, he personifies Satan himself. I was being factious. I left Catholicism too when I left my Catholic home at 18. I couldn't stand it and was so relieved when it was in my past.

I don't know exactly what you mean when you say "and have been searching for a long time for the "true" religion." "True religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:7. Because you are a true believer, God is in your heart, soul and mind. You belong to God. Those who are true believers are The Church of God, sometimes called the Kingdom of God. You are a part of the Body of Christ. This is your religion. James is saying if you love God you will show His love unconditionally, but especially to the needy and keep yourself holy. If you wonder how you can "keep unspotted in the world" do this - read Exodus 20: 1-17. These are the ten commandments of God-not laws-commandments written by God Himself. "For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." 1 John 5: 3 and Jesus said: "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:30. Some Christians teach a Sinning/Christian doctrine but this is false. We may have weakness and faults as a true believer. These are not sins. When we are born again we are not "perfect", of course, but God helps us overcome these weaknesses and faults by maturing in Him but we are to "go and sin no more." John 8: 3-11/ 11- ....... And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." I know I have been preaching :) and if I have presumed things about you that are wrong please forgive me, I just want to help if I can. God Bless :) I hope you will respond.

    Is.34:11-13 Pelicans, hedgehogs the owls

"But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness."

Cormorant according to Easton's Bible dictionary Heb. shalak, "plunging," or "darting down," (the Phalacrocorax carbo), ranked among the "unclean" birds; of the same family group as the pelican. Pelican in the Hebrew Ka'ath is noted for vomiter. " I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert."(Ps.102:6) In the context of Palestine we are looking at 'my sword bathed bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment." As was with the plagues that visited upon the land of Egypt we need see what darting down of pelican does upon the inhabitants, 'the people of my curse.'

Owls or ostriches This is supposed to be the Egyptian eagle-owl (Bubo ascalaphus), which frequentls the ruins in Egypt and Palestine. Its notable characteristic is its cry, strident hoots reverberating through desolations can be very unnerving.

Hedgehog or porcupine are known to live in burrows under the ground.

What we witness in the Middle East and the wholesale destruction reminds of nations gone berserk. Nevertheless God is in control.

Is.34 "The Day of the Lord" (2 of 2)

vv. 1-4 This is universal call to the nations. They are responsible for 'all things that come forth of it.' Foolish shepherds instead have been assuring Israel, peace, peace while there was no peace.(Jer.6:14) Friends of Israel in fact were false to their cloth and whoring after false gods of Christian Right white evangelicalism etc.,

"Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it."

vv.5-6 Edom and the Greek variant, Idumea tell us that these names are interchangeable. ""The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea."

vv.9-10 ""It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever."

For ever and ever inform us that the decree of the Day is from God and the Word alike. So rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem as of old or Israel as a state (founded in 1949) as legit is a pipe dream. It is a lie foisted upon the world as proven by the inhabitants of the land 'condemned' by God.

Who are the denizens among the stones of confusion? "But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness."(v.11)

Where are the princes of the 12 tribes? "They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing."(34:12)

"It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever:(34:10) It is given in Re.16:5-6

And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus."

Is.34:6 "Day of the Lord" (1 of 2)

"And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree."(Is.34:6)

Before going into the topic we shall set a framework within which this verse is to be interpreted. "the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain./Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved." (He.12:27-28)

The Word of God mentions three heavens which we may consider as three layers of animator's ceil superimposed in which the throne of God is the rest frame, to draw a term from astrophysics (it is used to study the movement of celestial objects with reference to a star) so the unshakeable kingdom refers to the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Re.22:1) The earth abides forever which refers to the Son, fulfilling the visible aspects of the kingdom. So the Word of God which is the Law is written as the name of the Father in the foreheads and the new name "and I will write upon him my new name."(Re.3:12). Jesus Christ promises, "and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem." (v.12)

Now we shall examine the overall judgment of nations, the Gentiles, Israel under the holdall of the term, the heathen."

Judgment upon them is sure to come,""For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion." (Is.34:8)

'Leaf falleth off from the vine' evokes the discourse of Jesus,"I am the true Vine' discourse. "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."( John 15:6) and Israel as Jesus would hint, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree."(Matt.24:32)

    Offering the First Fruits vv.9-14

And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete(v.15)."

These seven weeks, called here Sabbaths, were to be complete, i. e., the forty-nine days must be finished, and the next day, the fiftieth, is the day of Pentecost. (See under N-numbers, command/five)

Here we see concept of sevens used , which signifies the command number 7. Similarly we see the Israelites setting out from their bondage in Egypt to the Promised Land is a kangaroo word within the blessings God promised Abraham. It is thus the Spirit has set the numbers in sequences the earth time within the reconstituted Time. So Pentecost falls the next day after 7X7. After the Ascension of Jesus we read that two men in white apparel stood by and said to those who were watching the Ascension, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (Ac.1:11)". Thereafter the day of Pentecost fully had to come signifying there is a break between the two events.

    (See the entry under M-Mode/Parenthesis)

By the same token we may examine this verse, "Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days."(Dan.12:12) God blessed man on the sixth day ("And God blessed them,"-Ge.1:28)

In the preceding verse the man clothed in linen tells that "there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." signifying a break between the outpouring of the Holy Ghost upon all souls on earth and the Jubilee year in heaven. It is New Jerusalem and the old is consigned to Lord's indignation. "For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment./The sword of the Lord is filled with blood/"(Is.34:5-8)

The Passover and the Festival of the Unleavened Bread Le.23:5

    Ex.12:1-6

And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,/ This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

God spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt. Before the children of Israel could claim the Promised Land 'this month' signified altogether a new walk with God. When He says, 'Now is the day of salvation' it is God's Time. It is thus we look at the spiritual significance of a new year. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Co.5:17)".

Their observance of Tisri was after the traditions of their fathers. Not so with God.

Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house'(12:3)

'A lamb for an house' is highly significant.' On the tenth day, which entails a time lapse. The house or the nation the symbolism of the lamb remains consistent with the slain Lamb before the foundation of the world. It is the emblem for Salvation Plan in the divine Will through ages. What does the numberTen signify? Ten is a full hand or measure. It has another significance, under the Law: judgment

The Passover day also coincided with Joshua (Hellenized form of the name is Jesus) leading the people, "And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho (Josh.4:19)". Here is another: And Christ, our Paschal Lamb, on this day entered Jerusalem, riding on an ass; the people bearing palm branches, and crying, Hosanna, ( John 12:12-13).

    "Science"

Had not Truth been constant, think of the waste of effort and time that we spend to give good account of ourselves at all times? Our moral imperatives are like a grapnel thrown to hold on to something immovable. Truth is the bedrock for cosmos whether it goes on expanding or is static; similarly Truth is not proved wrong whatever theoretical universes man may put forward. (Newtonian model was replaced by Einstein's theory.) A news item of April 7, 2022 "Physicists have found that an elementary particle called the W boson appears to be 0.1 percent too heavy-a tiny discrepancy that could foreshadow a huge shift in fundamental physics." (Ack:Wired of Apr.,17). Science from the time of Galileo admits only science that can be proven so such modification shall go on ad infinitum, without anyone being the wiser. For us religion is based on faith and without God as the Mind, all hypotheses shall keep appearing one after the other and also disappear. (1 Ti.6:20-21)

    JESUS said: John 5:19-24:

19 ...Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth Him all things that Himself doeth: and He will shew Him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

22 For the Father Judgeth no man, but hath committed all Judgment unto the Son:

23 That ALL MEN should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent Him.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

    God's emotions (part 2)

    More major points to consider

The function of the Trinity. The function of sanctification is how Christ works in us through the Spirit to complete dying to self and also to demonstrate that our new nature is indeed due to His Spirit something that will and must result in glorification. We see in this chastisement for His own and also Christ's intercession for us. God the Father without Christ's involvement would no doubt kill us immediately anytime we sinned in His presence and none of us would be able to live even a day after being saved (let alone if we aren't). God therefore always sees His Son in us if we are saved and His sacrifice is sufficient for us to eventually enter into glory. Understanding how intimately the whole Trinity is involved in our everyday existance helps us be sensitive to the mind of God and know Him better.

Man is in the image of God. Man; therefore can only act out what is more or less a true reflection of God's own emotions or act out a sinful way with emotions that are self centered. (see 2 Cor. 7:10).

Finally before we go any further a caveat: Clearly to define the manifestation of an aspect of expression of any member of the Trinity as "emotion" is lowering His Divinity to a level or denominator we can somewhat comprehend. It is a poor description of His reactions but I find no other word at present to make this conversation make sense. May the Spirit guide these posts and those who consider these things!

Our best example; of course is Christ Himself during His earthly ministry as to how we are to function with our own emotions on this earthly journey. It is of course more popular in today's church culture to point out His love and compassion (such as when He wept hearing of the death of Lazarus; or perhaps over Jerusalem right before the cross). His angry outbursts taking up a whole chapter in Matthew were always against a group of people not individuals; nonetheless were intense.
