Resurrection, when the dead in Christ rise first. Who will teach during Tribulation? I am praying and 'quit the sin business' a preacher said once. So I can be found worthy to escape these things ( Revelation 4:1 - Revelation 19:11-21 ) Grace, Salvation and the Holy Spirit does remain before during and for some after Tribulation. When sharing those scriptures, it was a reply but I realize now I did not reply to the post. Advice taken is a wise thing to do, so I am all ears or in this case eyes, God Bless. We got to help each other, even if I am wrong . But we must not strife but get it right with each other out of love for one another. 2 Timothy 2:15-18 was just something I shared, to encourage others that we should not argue. Heb 3:15 God Bless you for that and continue to.

Thanks brother Jesse. We did have a very enjoyable & profitable time visiting relatives & friends in the UK; especially a grand nephew & grand niece whom we hadn't met before. I also had time whilst traveling to view this Site & the comments given, but not enough to set aside to engage in any extended discussion. Every blessing to you brother & to all the dear folk gathering here, lifting up the Lord before all, as well as His precious Word that is able to enlighten hearts & minds with God's Truths.

    (Part 4 of 4):

    Frankie,

You say "Let's look to the Spirit which inspired the Holy Scriptures for our understanding of them," but how can you, not yet being born-again, guide a born-again believer in the ways of understanding scripture? How can a person who does not yet have Christ dwelling in them even understand the things of God based on what we are told in 1 Corinthians 2:14? So, if you don't have the Spirit of God, and the things of God are spiritually understood, and the natural man just has his normal psyche, he's not going to receive it. He can't, because the things of God are spiritually taught by the Spirit of God.

Frankie, as I said earlier, I do have a concern for your spiritual welfare. I hope that one day soon, I will read your words sharing with us that you have received Christ into your life and are born-again or born from above as Jesus told Nicodemus that "Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

    (Part 3 of 4):

    Frankie,

You ask, " Rom 6:1,2,6, it speaks expressively the intent of God's heart. Holy Spirit seals it by repeats in twice."

I am not sure I am understanding your question here, but in order to understand this section of Romans Chapter 6, there are some terminologies that we need to know which are Justification, Reconciliation, and Sanctification. All three of these terminologies happen when a person receives Christ, when they are born-again. They're not in different stages.

You say that "if one sins in the least, the devil is still a prince & has dominion over him," and you give Romans 6:12-15 as the source of your statement.

Paul starts out by saying, "Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body." How can he say that? It is because he is leading us into the fact that when we get to Romans 6:14, it says that sin shall not lord it over you. That is a factual statement, not should not, but it cannot! What this is saying is that the sin principle no longer lords over the person who has the indwelling of God's Spirit.

So, if a believer does commit a single act of sin, it is because they made the choice. When they were not saved (born-again), they didn't have a choice. But once they got saved, it's the power of God's Spirit in them that gives them the power over sin. This does not mean that a believer will never sin.

    (Part 2 of 4):

    Frankie,

You sent me some verses with questions for me to answer. You asked, " 1 John 3:2-3, does this not say all that has this hope, we will be like Him, pure as He is pure?"

This is not talking about our walk here on this earth. As long as we are in this body of flesh, we can never be pure as Jesus was pure. 1 John 3:2 is the confirmation of the future. When the Lord comes, He's going to be in a different dimension. He will be functioning in the Spirit dimension, that dimension we cannot see.

When the Lord calls us up, and Paul mentions this in 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, he says I want to show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. Our physical body is changed into a spiritual body. We will be in the same dimension, and we will see Jesus just as He is. That's the hope of the believer. It keeps us going.

You ask, " 1 John 3:4-5, how can we be in Him & continue to sin in the least, in Whom there is no darkness at all.

The answer to that is given in 1 John 3:9. You might believe we do not or cannot sin in the least because of these verses, but that's not the case. A believer will still sin. But a believer can no longer live a lifestyle of habitual sin. In other words, a believe can no longer practice sin. That is the literal meaning of 1 John 3:9.

    Frankie J,

    (Part 1 of 4):

I would like to start back with my original post on Romans 8:9 which says, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. But you are not in the flesh, but you are in the Spirit, (if so be) the Spirit of God dwells in you."

What part of my original post are you disagreeing with?

Frankie, I am still concerned for your spiritual welfare since you yourself stated that you have not yet been born again. If this is the case, then you are still in the flesh and still living in your sin since the Spirit of God does not yet dwell in you. God forbid, but if you were to die in this state (void of God's Spirit), not being born again, what do you suppose would be your fate? Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3, "Except a man be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

You referred to 1 John 3:9, which reads, ""Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." Your understanding of this is different than mine. I say that a born-again believer will still sin, but you seem to disagree. Even if it were true that a born-again believer does not sin, or cannot sin, where does that leave you if you are not born-again?

Giannis, Jordyn, Jesse, S Spencer (and other readers)

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

    Thank you for your reply

Giannis, you (maybe others too) think or imagine the "dogs" mentioned in the Word of GOD are aggressive, quite the opposite, they are those who give (maybe disingenuously and cynically) a "special treat" to people, smilingly hug people giving friendly pat on the back of the brothers. Terrible, very terrible, this kind of behavior of the "dogs" in the Church is danger, a stumblingblock, a trap, this kind of behaviour explains the why Paul Apostle warned the brothers, saying: Beware of dogs..., and JESUS asserted saying: Blessed are they that may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

How can brothers "beware of dogs" if they do not discern and identify not who they are?

    NOTE:

Paul Apostle said to the brothers of Galatians that "Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children". This interpretation by allegory is very deep in material and spiritual terms. Impressive. And the dogs-Phil.3:2, who would be them?
  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 5 months ago
Hello AngelEverett. When we look at Genesis 2:1-3, we see that the Hebrew word used in this instance, is 'Shabath', from which we get 'Sabbath'. And the meaning in these verses, as also wherever God commands His people, Israel, to rest on the Sabbath day, is that they also are to do as He did. And that is, to cease or desist from all work. When we look at the six days of creation, we can believe that everything that God wanted to create, took place in those first six days - no more creative acts took place. When the six days ended, God rested, or ceased from all His 'creative' Work, as nothing more needed to be done.

When the children of Israel were instructed in this matter (e.g. Exodus 31:12-17), they too were to behave as their LORD did; they could work as much as they wanted to, even to the point of exhaustion, in the first six days, but had to set apart the Sabbath to desist from all work, to rest & recuperate in readiness for the 'new week'. God is Spirit & as such never tires, unlike us who are in the flesh & will always need time off to regain our strength & focus. Therefore, as He ceased from His Work after it was all done and saw that it was very good, He instructed His people to do likewise & to sanctify the day (to set it apart as one dissimilar to any other day of toil & other activities). And this keeping of the Sabbath was a clear sign to Israel that they belonged to Him; no other people on Earth received this 'perpetual covenant' - and to this day Israel adheres very strictly to it. Now if only Israel would receive their Messiah & put their faith in Him alone, things would have been a lot different for them (then & now) as God's special people.

Good evening Stewart! I appreciate bringing the 2 Timothy 2:18 verse to my attention. This brings up a question. Who continues to teach purely that the resurrection is today ( Hebrews 3:15 ) durning the time of the seven years in heaven that you mentioned in another post?

There is zero pressure to respond, I am meditating on this with you.

    Oseas:

I will comment on the frogs, but first you said let him who reads understand, that's it.

NO ONE but NO ONE will understand, without God CAUSING them to understand, there are people that have read his word for years and years and still don't understand.

It's all God's choice and God's work, and if you DON'T AGREE with him you can read non stop and will never understand.

When God's word says something and you don't AGREE with his word, what little light you HAVE BEEN GIVEN he will take away, if you AGREE then more light will be given ..... Matthew 13:12 ....

If one is studying and not going forward in TRUTH, he needs to examine his BELIEFS whether they aline with God's word, if they don't aline, REPENT of your sin of UNBELIEF, all other sins are covered by his blood.

Matthew 5:25 AGREE with your adversary (the WORD) quickly, while thou art in the way with him (the WORD), lest at any time he (the WORD) deliver you to the judge (the WORD), and the judge deliver you to the officer (death) and ye be cast into prison (the grave).

The wages of SIN (unbelief) is death.

I will start another thread on the frogs.

    God Bless YOU!

    Oseas:

There are different places in the prophecies that say Christ will pour out the same plagues that were poured out on the Egyptians.

But, they want be LITERAL as they were in Egypt.

Hail mingled with fire was one of the plagues in Egypt, as was frogs.

Ezekiel 13:11 ....oh great hailstones shall fall, and a stormy wind shall rend it....

Ezekiel 38:22 And I will plead with him with pestilence and blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon many people that are with him, and overflowing rain, and great hailstone, fire and brimstone.

Isaiah 30:30 And the Lord SHALL CAUSE his glorious voice (his word) to be heard, and shall show the lighting down his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the FLAME of a devouring FIRE, with scattering, and tempest and hailstones.

So all these are SYMBOLIC of something that is going to judge God's people, as did the plagues judge the Egyptians.

John 5:22 ... God hath committed all judgement to the Son ...

So these symbols of judgement are symbols of Christ, and Christ is the Word, and the WORD(S) of God JUDGES US.

John 12:48 ... the words that I have spoken, the same words will judge you .....

Isaiah 28:2 Behold the Lord has a mighty and strong one (the WORD), which as a tempest of HAIL and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters, shall cast down to earth with the hand

Isaiah 28:3 The crown of PRIDE .....

Isaiah 28:5 In that day (of judgement when one believes God's word) the Lord (the WORD) shall be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue his people.

Isaiah 28:8 But they (the residue of his people) have also ERRED THROUGH WINE (explained in other scriptures, but is not alcoholic wine), and through strong drink (not alcohol) are OUT OF THE WAY (Christ is the way) .... they err in VISION and stumble in JUDGEMENT.

I will continue in a second comment on the frogs.

    God BLESS YOU!

    Heb 6:1

Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

    Heb 6:2

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Key about GOD' WORD is, it is marked through with His plan of SALVATION from beginning to end. (Foundation of the world). Key word salvation No secret.

    Heb 6:3

And this will we do, if God permit.

    Heb 6:4

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

    Heb 6:5

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

    Heb 6:6

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put him to an open shame.

So, it is impossible to fall away? The Lord Christ cannot be crucified again in the eyes of THE Most High?

    Jas 2:19

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Are the devils trembling because they BELIEVE OR UNBELIEVE?

    Isa 28:9

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breasts.

    Isa 28:10

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little

    2 Timothy 15-18

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

    Giannis, Jesse and Jordyn

    Thank you for your replies.

I would like to clarify that It's actually a Bible study and not a discussion, so who are the dogs acccording to the expresses Scriptures?

Until this moment I have been trying to bring the brothers to interpret the Scriptures as those who are inside them, and not as those who speak of them, but being not inside but on the outside looking at the Scriptures.

What is important for all of us is to identify through the Word of GOD who the dogs are mentioned in Revelation 22:15 and Philippians 3:2, which will be left out of the kingdom of GOD that will be established in this seventh and LAST millennium or seventh and last Day, the Day of the Lord.

Who are the dogs, then? Wouldn't the answer or identification of them be in the Old Testament? Wouldn't it be interesting to identify who the dogs are specifically, so that we are all protected from these dogs as Paulo wrote to the Church of Philippi? saying: Beware of dogs, ... Phil.3:2.

Again: It's actually a Bible study and not a discussion, so who are the dogs according to the expresses Scriptures? There are many here that know Scriptures deeply, so could anyone give us where is written who the dogs are in the Old Testament, and that we all know how to protect ourselves from them?

Perhaps someone here or many may have been "bitten" by a dog in the church they attend, and do not discern that a "dog" bit them. It is important that each of us is vaccinated, I mean, knowing who are dogs is as if be vaccinated and protected from them .

    GOD bless and be careful

Correct once your born into this world your body should automatically become like God and once your receive Jesus Christ into your heart in repentance your body becomes God at that instant.

And if it's already Done it shouldn't suffer either. Pray after me Jesus you says that it is done and I ask that I will not suffer in flesh for his sake.

    Thank you, this makes sense to a lot of the scriptures;

John 3:15 "That whosoever BELIEVETH in him should not perish, but have eternal life."

John 6:47 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that BELIEVETH on me hath everlasting life."

John 11:25 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that BELIEVETH in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"

Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that BELIEVETH; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Thank you again for your time and patience to respond to a question that seems obvious to the experienced Christians. I am nothing but a mere child in the faith and so my understanding is somewhat limited and have a little catching up to do. Thanks and may God bless you and peace to you in Jesus name

    Jajaz458:

I takes the whole word of God to understand any part of the word.

    Romans 7

It takes other truths in God's to understand Romans 7.

If ones does not believe other truths in the word then he want understand Romans 7.

One truth that always has to be applied to any scriptures we study in the word IS:

Hebrews 4:3 .... the WORKS were finished from the foundation of the world ......

Revelation 13:8 ... the LIFE of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world .....

Matthew 25:34 ..... the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world .....

Matthew 13:35 .... things which have been keep secret from the foundation of the world ....

So, all this, the WORKS being done before the foundation, we come to this truth:

Hebrews 4:2 ... unto them was the GOSPEL PREACHED, as well as UNTO US ...

One of the truths of the gospel is your sins are forgiven, therefore their sins were forgiven from the foundation of the world.

The prophets declared this to them as well as us:

Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our SINS from us.

They didn't BELIEVE, as most today don't BELIEVE these words of God, God has not seen our sins from the foundation of the world.

So, what is this SIN that kept THEM and KEEPS us from God: his word tells us:

Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of UNBELIEF.

So, what's God's solution for UNBELIEF and the mystery keep secret from the foundation of the world.

The SPIRIT of TRUTH, pour out on man at pentecost.

John 16:8 When he is come, he will REPROVE the world of SIN ....

John 16:9 .....of SIN, because they BELIEVE NOT ......

You can believe in God, and yet, NOT BELIEVE his words.

1 Peter 1:23 You are BORN AGAIN, by the WORDS of God ....

    I'm out of characters.

Meditate on these truths and we will continue on to Romans 7.

    God BLESS YOU!

    Jesse (and all)

You know that there are many things written in the Bible figuratively, or by allegory, that are very difficult to interpret, in my opinion a challenge that many people cannot interpret them really, or misinterpret, or even twist or distort them unfortunately.

My question was about "Who are the dogs according to the Rev.22:15 and Phil.3:2"?. Who the Scriptures are talking from?

I think it is very interesting to find the answer in the Bible itself. To decipher the enigma It means wisdom for us.

But what to say about Revelation 16:13? : 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like FROGS come out of the MOUTH of the dragon, and out of the MOUTH of the Beast, and out of the MOUTH of the false prophet.

    THE QUESTION IS: WHY FROGS?

I'm not challenging anyone, it is the Bible that makes the challenge, I think it is very interesting to find the answer in the Bible itself, even JESUS said: (whoso readeth, let him understand: Matthew 24:15)- We all have to accept the challenge that JESUS made: Whoever reads understands. That's it.

The earth is full of violent men and wars of all kind, wars of demons,in all the continents, they are something like fallen angels. But what does the Word of God say? What did my Lord JESUS say? Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth- Matthew 5:5.But how?

GOD the Father-the Word, the Word is GOD- said by the prophet Hoseas(8th-century BCE-Hosea or Oshea means salvation,he is called also Joshua in the holy Scriptures): GOD said by Hosea: But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their GOD,and will not save them by bow,nor by sword, nor by battle,by horses, nor by horsemen- Hosea 1:7.

GOD is the Truth. Jeremiah 10:10: But the Lord is the true GOD,He is the living GOD,and an everlasting King:at His WRATH the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide His INDIGNATGION.-As it is written in Romans 2:5-16-Check it.

    The Day of the Lord

The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the Kingdoms of our LORD and of His Christ and He shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 11:v.15.The Word is GOD,the Word is self-executing according was preestablished and revealed.

So,there shall be a spiritual BATTLE against this devilish/satanic world ruled by the Devil which deceives the whole world- Revelation 12:9. And how do the nations will react?Well, we know that the nations will rage, yeah, will rage- Revelation 11:18-,the kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying,"Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us",but the LORD will laugh:the Lord shall have them in derision- Psalm 2.

    The LORD said: Joel 2:1-3

1Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:let all the inhabitants of the land tremble:for the Day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;(That is this 7th and last Day,the LORD's Day,or seventh and last millennium).

There shall be War against three unclean Spirits like frogs-Rev.16:13-15

    Brother in Christ

The FALSE MESSIAH will soon manifest himself in Israel, as JESUS prophetically announced, saying: John 5:43 - 43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if ANOTHER (a false messiah, an IMPOSTOR, a liar) shall come in his OWN name, him ye (the Jews, and even many Pastors, Bishop, among others believers, will be deceived) will receive.

    And Paul Apostle said: 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4 and 9 -

9 - Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

    3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

    Get ready

May our Lord GOD bless and keep us, and give us His protection

    Hi jimbob:)

no worries - answer when you can as will i. your testimony was a blessing to me and it is such a wonderful testimony of your mother-in-law being a witness to you every day and that it touched your heart in to giving your life to christ. it is true we never know who might be there for the lord to use to show us the way. i was raised a catholic so i never hear about the saving grace of christ let alone even imagined it to be true when i was growing up. i did believe in the true god and trinity, etc. but that was all and i was taught god was a stern old man, up in heaven out of reach except through rituals and traditions. i was also not allowed to speak the name of jesus at all unless directed to in prayer led by a nun or priest. this was back in the fifties and sixties so i know it is a lot different today. when i moved out on my own at 18 i left the catholic church. a few years later i met my husband, tim. my mother-in-law was also a christian and tried to witness to us but we lived several hours away so we didn't see her very often. god knew that tim knew better because he had given his heart to the lord a couple of years earlier but tim wasn't following god when i met him. anyway, in our second year of marriage a man tim worked with began to witness to him and tim told me about it and so this man's wife started to witness to me and i was thrilled because, like i said, i had never even imagined that type of a personal relationship with god, with jesus. tim renewed his relationship with the lord and jesus saved me on the same night. i'm a widow now. tim passed away a couple of years ago, but god has always seen me through. praise him!

i do have a scripture comparison between the kjb and niv but i'll have to do it in my next reply because i'm running out of room in this one. bye god bless you
