Dear Earl, thanks for explaining further. I just have to say that I find yours and Alex's way of explaining biblical ideas confusing and "stretched" concerning the Scripture. To me, the way your viewpoints are woven together changes the meaning of many Scriptures. I don't think that Scripture supports yours and Alex's view of who the Holy Spirit is and what happens at conversion. But then again, it is difficult to discuss things well on a forum like this when we cannot have lengthy private conversations together with our Bibles in hand and a back and forth exchange that can lead to better understanding.

So, that said, I wish you and Alex blessings to day in the name of our Lord, Jesus.

Amen! Very well said! We don't hear God in an audible voice but God's always talking to us through the Holy Spirit. God also speaks with actions too. As we draw closer to the end times and mankind talks less to God -- God only gets louder and very soon...everyone's going to hear.

I remember the verses. " And Lucifer said I will be like God. I will be God! I will take over Gods throne. And Michael and his angels fought back. And cast that ancient serpent (Lucifer ) from heaven." Where is that??? By the way my sons name comes from those verses. He is named after the angel Michael.

Why is the fall of Lucifer taken out of this Bible???? It was among the collection of verses I memorized as a youth at Baptist Bible camp and is key to fighting Lucifer!!!!

  • HEARING THE LORD - In Reply - 1 year ago
Without what Jesus spoke of in John chapter 3, we cannot hear the the Holy Spirit__speaking to our newly born again, human spirit.

One other thing; we need to quiet ourselves and seek the Lord. He speaks to our spirit, through a still small voice.

This world has many devises of media and noise. The Lord does not shout. He just waits until we are quietly seeking Him; studying His Words (Bible).

When you do hear Him, you'll prefer His speaking to you, above all others. His voice gives faith, peace and calm through His Holy Spirit.

Satan's voice causes chaos, fear, and rebellion. Rebuke it in the Name of Jesus.

The more I read the entire Bible after the wisdom and knowledge hidden treasures from God, and of the Father, and of Jesus Christ, I do believe the seven churches refers to the true believers. One must examine their own self. You will find that the prophesy applies to all true believers. Otherwise, John would not write all the warnings given by God.

I testify fully how the words speak to me. I walk only in the Spirit of God after the knowledge of the blood Jesus did to redeem me knowing I am a sinner according to the law.

My fellow bride of Christ, the time is short. I see and talked to people about the truth according to what is written only in the KJV Bible. We cannot make them see what we see and read.

I would ask a fervent prayers and fasting for saving as many as we can saved.

I was just looking for more believers to do these prayers and fasting with me until Jesus comes in the cloud.

  • Genesis 9 Explanation About Eating Blood - In Reply on Genesis 9 - 1 year ago
    Genesis 9:4

These first few verses of Genesis 9 include God's blessings and commands to Noah and his sons. These instructions are also meant for the generations that will follow from them. In the previous verse, God made clear that humanity was free to eat any kind of creature that moved. This would include birds, fish, beasts, and creeping things. Whether or not mankind was specifically allowed to eat animals prior to flood, they are given specific permission now to do just that.

HOWEVER, while God does allow man the ability to eat animal flesh, He includes a restriction: Humans are not to eat the BLOOD of these animals along with their flesh. The verse describes the blood as the animal's life. Later, under the Law of Moses, Israelites will be required to very carefully drain the blood from animals before consuming them. This deep respect for blood is the first step in a long process, establishing the symbolism of Christ's sacrifice for human sin on the cross. Note: COOK the meat first.

Genesis 9:1-17 continues God's interaction with Noah and his sons following the flood. First, God blesses them and gives them specific instructions about how to live in this remade world. God commands them to reproduce and fill the earth, among other things. Next, God establishes His unilateral covenant to never again end all life on earth with a flood, offering the rainbow as a sign of this promise.

The Time of the End: 2 Peter 3

    Be ready to follow Jesus.
  • PROVERBS 5 MEANING - In Reply on Proverbs 5 - 1 year ago
This chapter begins with the typical plea for the reader or listener to pay close attention. This book uses the term wisdom to mean an ability to apply godly knowledge. Discretion is closely related to that idea. This implies someone who can discern between different things. We see the same idea in related English terms such as discrete, discriminate, and discernment. The advice given here is vital, and Solomon is eager to see it followed ( Proverbs 5:1-2).

A key aspect of avoiding sin is to avoid temptation. This is why Solomon strongly suggests staying far away from those who tempt us towards adultery. Avoiding situations where we're liable to be overcome is sound advice. As part of that warning, this passage also describes the consequences of adultery. Those include a loss of reputation, shortened life, possible legal trouble, and reduced prosperity. Worse, adultery leads to deep regret, looking back with sorrow on sinful choices. There is a reason why, even in a modern culture drenched in promiscuity, there is still a deep stigma against those labelled as marital "cheaters" ( Proverbs 5:7-14).

Summarizing this section is a reminder that God knows and sees all things. A common thread in adultery is secrecy, but that's not possible in the eyes of an omniscient Creator. Another common thread is regret over consequences. Once adultery has been committed, it cannot be undone. God can-and will-forgive those who seek Him. But that forgiveness does not change the past. The damage to relationships, reputations, and bodily health are real, and those who ignore godly advice are liable to find this out the hard way ( Proverbs 5:21-23).

That was when Noah and his family built the Ark, according to Gods instructions. He preached salvation to surrounding communities the whole time. Only 8 people were on the Ark when the rains came. Plus pairs of all creatures, from extra large to really small were saved on the Ark. Everything drank milk to live.

When the event was over, the door was opened and all the creatures dispersed over the earth again.

Later God promised never again to flood the earth. But a future day is approaching when what's written in 2 Peter 3, will happen.

It's not global warming or climate change. Be at peace. It is the earth ramping up for the end. God is going to restore earth to the garden of Eden. His perfect plan. All the scars man has made upon earth will be removed.

We will see Jesus every day. You and all those you love, can be a part of this wonder. Take His hand and don't let go. Scripture search: new heavens and new earth; New Jerusalem.

Marke, the Church is not made of brick and mortar.

    The Church is EVERY MAN.

God's kingdom is increasing not decreasing.

The kingdom increases every time someone comes to the truth of the gospel.

The Church (Christ in You) has been increasing since pentecost.

Christ is the root of THE TREE, we are the branches of THE TREE; but ALL ARE OF THE SAME TREE.

The TREE is going to cover the whole earth.

    God Bless You!

Brother Giannis none of this section isn't directed towards you, and thank you for sharing.

    Galatians 6:16.

Here's a verse that the replacement theologist often uses.

They combine that with Romans 9:6 and off they go.

Totally ignoring the surrounding scriptures and the context of the chapter, sometimes several chapters such as Romans Chs 9,10,11.

Let's look at the Israel of God in Galatians and the false teachings of some.

Here's the situation Paul is dealing with. Galatians 3:1-5.

You have to include the previous verses to get the context.

Galatians 6:12-16. Paul is talking about the Church, BUT what is often missed is he divides them into 2 groups.

Vs. 15) For in Christ Jesus neither CIRCUMCISION availeth any thing, nor UNCIRCUMCISION, but a new creature.

Vs,16) And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on "THEM," and mercy, and upon the "Israel of God."

Notice THEM in verse 16, "Uncircumcised, Gentiles"

The Israel of God, " Circumcised! Messianic Israelites". Children of the promise mentioned in

    Romans 9:8.

So you see also in Romans 9:6, Paul is referring to those offspring of Abraham whether Ishmaelites, Arabian, Egyptian, or Israelites.

And those of the Promise, The remnant,

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

    Galatians 4:22-23.

    Here's the Context.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

    Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:3-5.

You see if you put it in context it explains itself.

You have to twist a lot of scripture to make these passages the Church.

    God bless.

The Devil is jealous because the Lord has covered us completely with love, mercy and Grace.

  • Giannis - In Reply - 1 year ago
    Dear Spencer

I will not go through verses again since it seems me and you interpret them in a different way. OK we agree that the Israeletes will be saved sometime in the future. If I understood right you take prophesies from the OT about a kingdom of Israel with king Jesus as literal ( I believe this Israel is the spiritual Israel, the church). Assume this is right. So sometime later on, Jesus will arrive back and rule on earth with His people, the Israeletes. When is this going to happen? Is it before antichrist comes and rules on earth? In that case antichrist and his people that will come will beat (?) Jesus and His people?.If Jesus'arrival is after antichrist then we talk about the fight of Armageddon? But in Revelation John tell us that those beheaded by antichrist will sit on thrones and rule with Jesus, not Israel? Question. When is it that Israel with Jesus rule on earth?

About Judas now. Was he saved? I understand some christians in the US think he wasn't saved. OK lets make a research. Was he baptised? Was any of the apostles baptised? The Scriptures don't mention that but we read that apostles baptised in water other people. See John 4:2. Question. Can somebody baptise people without him been buptised? No. Can somebody been baptized and not be born again? The answer is still no. Next, Judas was sent with the other apostles to preach repentance and salvation to people and perform miracles. Preach salvation without him being saved? Does it make sense? So Judas was born again, got baptised in water, send by Jesus to preach repentance and salvation and perform miracles. I think any objection about Judas been a good apostle is not accepted. So what happened to him? The same that Paul feared he may happen to him if he was not careful how he walked. 2 Timothy 4:6-9. Same that happened to Demas too.

So my question still remains the same. When is Jesus with Israel going to rule on earth?

Anyway nice talking about scriptures, although disagree with each other.

    Wise guy:

If the Holy Ghost is not Christ, then Christ would not have have had to leave, in order for the Holy Spirit to come.

Christ had to leave, because he is the Holy Ghost.

Christ's SECOND COMING is as the Holy Ghost, poured out on man at pentecost.

Colossians 1 :27 ....This mystery ..... Christ in you ....

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE BODY and ONE SPIRIT ....

Man, including Christ, is this ONE BODY.

A body has to have LIFE.

The LIFE of the BODY is this ONE SPIRIT; God is Spirit and LIFE.

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (Life) that WORKETH IN YOU (the body) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

    God Bless You!

    Marilyn,

Revelation 1:16 says, "And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword:

That's taken from Isaiah Chapter 49 Verse 2. It is also mentioned later in Revelation Chapter 19 at the second coming of Christ, where it says out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations, and He shall rule them with a rod of iron, and tread them in a winepress of the fierceness and wrath of almighty God.

We do not expect to see a literal sword. That is the Jewish way of saying how powerful God's word is. It is like a sword that cuts right through you. In Hebrews 4:12, it says for the word of God is quick, (that is, living), and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and it is a discerner, (that is, a critic), of the thoughts and motivations of the heart.

That's how powerful God's word is. We're not talking about quoting the bible. We're talking about the truth that God's word has. It cuts deep. It's powerful. Out of the Lord's mouth went a sharp two-edged sword.

And His countenance, that is, His face, was as the sun shineth in his strength. The Greek phrase expresses looking straight into the sun at high noon on the brightest day of the year. Wow, what a sight! That's from Judges Chapter 5 Verse 31. That's who Jesus Christ is!

Greetings in Christ, one and all, and grace and peace from God our Father through Christ Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit to each reader!

Recently, as soon as I woke up one morning, the Lord put the word, "loving-kindness' on my heart. He began to instruct me that we may do kind things for someone, i.e., we can open a door for someone, we can pick up something for someone that they've dropped, we can run an errand for someone...but it doesn't necessarily mean that we LOVE them.

    Not so with God.

His GREAT GREAT and STUPENDOUS kindness shown us in the face of Jesus Christ is shown to us in LOVE. God gives nothing to us grudgingly. God does not regret any kindness that He shows us. God isn't weary of being kind to us. God doesn't 'do' things for us to be 'polite', or 'civil' - with very little or no TRUE love!

God loves us, and every single act of kindness, every grace, mercy, and blessing that God bestows upon us, is given out of a heart of immense, immeasurable love!

How special, then, does that make HIS kindness to us? How thankful, how joyful we can be at this reality!

The other side is, as we understand more deeply how God moves towards US with loving-kindness - let us ask Him for grace to do things for others, not just out of 'civility', or 'politeness', or because 'it's expected of us by society," but let us be kind BECAUSE WE ARE LOVED OF GOD, and therefore, with THAT love bestow kindness on others!

Glory to God now and evermore!

to support your statement; one would have to disregard what the words of wisdom actually reports. First natural and then spiritual parables Jesus would address His followers. Thus I would agree that the council of Proverbs words report that "she"etc. addresses other types and examples. They also addresses the elephant in the room...
