    Carl,

I would like to echo what Kay has said. I completely agree her. I honestly believe that the tough circumstances we go through as believers, whether it be physical ailment, sickness, loss of possessions, or whatever the case might be, all those circumstances are put before us to teach us how to place our complete trust in Christ. It took me many years to figure it out, but when things were going great in my life, I found it easy to thank God and give Him praise. But when hardships would come, my focus was always on what I needed to do to work out whatever it was I was going through instead of placing all my cares and troubles on the Lord and trusting that He would work it out.

I think the best answer I would give her would be to give her situation to the Lord, ask Him in prayer for His will to be done, and then accept whatever He does, knowing that the situation might get better, might remain the same, might even get worse, but knowing that it is His will she is surrendering to in prayer.

    Louis,

The word separated comes from the Greek word that means to be set apart. So Paul was set apart by God for God's purpose. That's what it means to be separated. Something else in Romans 1:1 is that Paul was not called "to be" an apostle. He was an apostle by calling. It literally reads a called apostle, not called to be an apostle, but a called apostle.

It tells us what kind of apostle he is. He's called by God. He's not appointed by man. It's not even his own choosing or ambition. But he's an apostle of Jesus Christ by calling. God separated him for a purpose just like He does all believers. Not all believers are separated and set apart to be an apostle, but every believer is called. Every believer is somebody who has responded to the calling. It is not something that we decided to do. We responded to His call.

We also have been separated. Every believer has a function in the body of Christ. We're not just saved by Jesus in order to go to heaven and have our sins forgiven, but we actually have a function. We participate in the body of Christ as we're transformed and changed, and as we serve our function in which Christ has separated us for.

No, I'm sorry but the rapture does exist. Modern theologians started denying it about 20-years ago as a new replacement theological trend. YouTube videos and false doctrine social media "preachers" have been misleading people on this in the last decade.

The Church will be removed from the earth BEFORE the appearing of the Antichrist ( 2nd Thessalonians 2:7,8). There isn't one verse in the entire Bible which indicates that the Church will go through the Tribulation period. In fact, if you want proof of a Pretribulation Rapture, you'll find it simply by studying the Bible. If we compare Scriptures having to do with the Translation of the Church (i.e., the Rapture), with those passages relating to the setting up of Christ's Kingdom, one can only reasonably conclude that it would be utterly IMPOSSIBLE for these two events to occur simultaneously. Let's look at some of the comparisons:

Matthew 25:31,32 - "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations" Carefully notice that Jesus is going to sit upon His throne in Jerusalem when He returns, and the nations of earth will be gathered before Him to be judged. How can this fact be reconciled with 1st Thessalonians 4:17, which states that the saints will be caught up together to meet with the Lord in the air?

If people stuck with the simple prophetic truths in the Bible and stopped listening to internet preachers...all this denial about the rapture, tribulation, 2nd coming, etc...wouldn't have become so contrived and over inflated. I see the modern church reaching a contradictory point of twisting Scripture and confusing masses to the point of eventually just denying everything.

    1Samuel 9, - 1Samuel 10, tells the account 1Samuel 11:15,

    Why do you ask?

There are many kings that have the ages when they started to reign, sometimes we can immediately see & understand the significance of the age being disclosed such as the very young kings. Others are a mystery, not all kings have their ages revealed.

It does mention the age of Saul's son when he reigned during the days David reigned as the kingdom was divided between David & Saul's household.

  • What to Do When Healing is Delayed - In Reply - 1 year ago
Bless you, Carl, for being such a caring friend. Keep coming back for encouragement. I haven't always been healed when I ask for it, too. Just don't stop asking. Certainly search yourself and ask God to show you anything that needs to be confessed. HE already knows all we've done that might offend Him.

I'm sending some scriptures you are to give to your friend so she can prevail in prayer. Pray the scripture and then personalize it. Don't give up. Realize too that Ephesians 6, shows us that we're to be strong and FIGHT BACK WITH ALL OUR MIGHT against the SPIRIT OF INFIRMITY and THE SPIRIT OF DEATH. Bind them and cast them into outer darkness of dry places. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

It is helpful to bring praise and worship music into the home. It changes the atmosphere. She might listen to older albums of John Michael Talbot through YouTube on her phone. One song in particular, "Heal Me."

It would be useful for her to listen to some teachings of Charles Capps: Authority of the Belived; Gods Creative Power for Healing. On YouTube. He was a great teacher; and is with the Lord now. But we have his books to read and videos online.

She needs to encourage herself in the Lord. Pray the scriptures I gave, and put her name in them. Also to repent for weak faith and despair. Ephesians 6 every day!

Myself included; Satan would love to snuff out our faith and beat us down, so we'll give up. Get LOUD in those prayers.

Come back here and let us minister to you and your friend. Someone on here might gain insight through the testing of her faith.

I know Jesus loves you both. Mishael

    Hey Mark,

The times of Noah were horrendous as in Genesis 6:11. As you said sons of God are used 5 times in OT Genesis 6 Job 1 Job 2 and Job 38 all referring to angels. It is used 6 times in the NT John 1 Romans 8 Philippians 2 and 1 John 3, my understanding is referring to those who have accepted and have faith in Jesus.

There are many opinions on fallen angels, devils/demons. There are evil beings on this earth today, we see in Daniel battles that may be going on that we are not aware of, Daniel 10. There is a set of angels that were different and for what they did, God locked them in chains of darkness until the judgment 2 Peter 2:4 Jude 1:6, and others can still roam the earth.

In verses 6:4 daughters of men having children, they became mighty men of old. The Hebrew word for old is m-'-w-lm, meaning defined as long duration, antiquity, futurity, for ever, ever, everlasting, evermore, perpetual, old, ancient, or world. It was translated everlasting 110 times, forever 136 times.

Giants we see before and after the flood as said in Genesis 6:4 "and also after that". The word giant is Nephilim and also the Rephaim (or Rephaites, the terrible ones), You can find them throughout the OT and their descriptions are not just a tall big man, Numbers 13:33 Amos 2:9 and more.

When God created everything the seed is after his kind, a dog will have a dog, a bear will have a bear, and so on, a man and woman may have a tall big man but it will not be a giant. Angels can on earth have a body that can eat, and drink, Genesis 18, fiscally wrestle Genesis 32 and we are told how we should entertain strangers because they may be an angel, Hebrews 13.

Just a few things you may look at. If an angel left his first estate and came down to earth could he mate? Was that why God locked them in darkness and other bad angels and Satan can still roam the earth? After the flood, there were only 8 where did these giants come from?

    Interesting subject,

    God bless,

  • ROMANS 1:1 - In Reply - 1 year ago
Paul begins by identifying himself. First, he understands himself to be a servant of Jesus Christ. The Greek word used here for servant is doulos. A doulos in Greek culture was a "bondservant," someone who had sold himself into slavery to another person either for a specific amount of time or indefinitely. Paul considered himself to be owned by Christ.

Paul next calls himself an apostle. The word apostle means "a person who is sent by another to represent him and his authority." In the New Testament, the apostles of Jesus Christ were considered to speak with the authority of Christ Himself. The 12 disciples of Jesus became known as His apostles. Paul became an apostle later when Christ revealed Himself to Paul and called him to fill that role ( Acts 9:15). Later, the other apostles of Jesus confirmed that was Paul's calling ( Galatians 2:7-9).

So Paul begins his letter by making it clear to his readers that he is both servant and representative of Jesus Christ. What he tells them in this letter will carry the authority of Christ Himself.

I hope this answers your question..Mishael

Finally, Paul identifies the mission Christ has given to him. He understands himself to be "set apart" for the gospel-the "good news"-of God. This letter to the Roman Christians, in fact, is a thorough and carefully-constructed presentation of exactly what the gospel is and why it is so significant.

Comment: this chapter is detailing Paul's process of being called to minister in Jesus's Name and with the Anointing. Luke 4:18

We see the Trinity ( THE KINGDOM ) all the way back to the Ark of the Covenant in the most Holy Place above the Mercy Seat were the 2 Churubim of Glory.. Exodus 25 : 18 kjv...And they were 3 distinct beings...The Father dwelt between the 2 Churubim of Glory...And the ark of the Covenant was not built by any mans plans nor by the levitical Priest hood...Its was from God himself when Moses was with God on the mount for 40 days...See said HE that you make all things as was shown you on the Mount... Exodus 25 : 40...This is y i believe in the Trinity it was not of man's doings it was all Gods doings and it was in a tent...The Tabernacle was in a tent...Thus God ALMIGHTY DWELT IN A TENT with the 2 Churubim of GLORY.

.....And we read that Abraham dwelt in a tent with Issac and Jacob...Son and GRANSON...Heirs with him of the same Promise.

.....When Moses was on the mount with God for 40 days He saw the actual Kingdom and the 2 Churubim of GLORY and he built the ARK OF THE Covenant as an exact copy of the heavenly Kingdom...An Earthly EXPRESSION OF A HEAVENLY KINGDOM and it was a Trinity...3 distinct beings but 1 kingdom ...And they were all 3 related as Father son and GRANSON...The FATHER cd not have shared his GLORY with the 2 churubim of Glory unless they were all 3 related as Father son and Granson...Just like Abraham Issac and Jacob...Thats what Abraham means exaulted Father.. Father Abraham cd not have shared his Promise with Issac and Jacob unless they were all 3 related...k lemme go

Perhaps this is so He can express all of His Being, including mercy, wrath, justice, forgiveness. Without sin, these aspects of His Being could not be expressed at all and a God Who is absolutely complete and perfect would not leave any attribute latent and unable to be expressed.

    Hello Mary,

I would like to add that one who meditates on God's Word is one who reads it often as well as thinking about what it means in relations to the Words of God as a whole. So, to do this one needs to read as much Scripture as is appropriate for the length of time they have been in Christ. The Holy Spirit will guide new believers and seasoned ones to what part of His Word He wishes you to consider at the present time. Follow this lead. It is also good to attempt to do a read through of the whole Bible. Maybe one will read the Gospels through, then Acts/Epistles. Then move on to Psalms or begin in Genesis to read the Pentateuch. Taking the Scriptures a section at a time in this way helps to overcome the large amount of text that is in the Bible.

Finally, I would like to add that one who meditates on the Word is one who has their mind set on God and His ways. Therefore they will view life and circumstances through the lens of known Scripture and recalling to mind or re-reading Scripture to apply to the circumstance.

    That's a deep question, John.

It demands a far deeper answer, perhaps, than I can give.

First, we must note that on this side of heaven, we will not know and understand everything. The secret things belong to the Lord; the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children... Deut. 29:29. We have plenty of good meat to chew on in God's Word when we don't have the teeth to tackle the huge steaks. :)

Overall, to me, the whole HIStory is the story of God's love for mankind. It is astounding that angels He would not save; but fallen man He would redeem with His own blood.

He created Adam and Eve, knowing they would fall, BUT..in THAT very way He could demonstrate the amazing depths of His mercy, His love, His grace, His pity, His power! He could have just said, "I love you'...but after all...isn't love demonstrated much more meaningful than words just spoken?

Lucifer, in this big scheme, is being punished every day. ALL of his weapons are, ultimately, futile. He has to work so hard to try to do something - but will end up in the lake of fire. And in the mean time - He is a servant of God, albeit unwillingly.

Again, the best part of all of this is the story of God's beautiful, deep, wide, unfathomable love towards us, Who are created by Him. Amazing! Praise the Lord!

    Blessings, John...

Carl, the issue of 'why Christians suffer' is one of the biggest dilemmas we often see amongst believers.

    My thoughts are these.

First of all, it helps to remember that all of our maladies stem from the fact that we ourselves our sinners, albeit redeemed ones, and live in a fallen world. This is not heaven; believers are subject to anything and everything this world holds.

Secondly, because we have sinned, and there is much work yet to do within our hearts to conform us to God, the Lord does bring us through many difficulties, whether financial distress, relational troubles, and physical ailment, to name a few. Many of God's saints have been exercised in sickness of mind and/or body, as well as manifold other troubles! David says, in Psalm 119:67, 'Before I was afflicted, I went astray; but NOW I have kept Thy Word." Afflictions are the sheepdogs that drive us to our Shepherd. :) And I smiled wryly at one point of your comment, Carl: "...she is faithful to the church". That can be a wonderful thing! What an honor to serve the lambs of Jesus! Amen! BUT, often, we can slip into being more faithful to the church than we are to Jesus Himself. We spend our time in programs and other things that actually eat up time that He wants us to spend with Him. I'm not saying this is the case with this dear woman...but it could be that Jesus is 'making her to lie down' on her back for a while so that she looks up at Him more. :)

ALL things work together for good to those who are the called according to His purpose". Romans 8:28.

    2 Cor. 4:

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

    17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

God designs that all that we experience in this life draws us closer to Him. May we all learn to let all things we endure cast us deeper into the mold of Christ Jesus! Amen!

    Blessings, Carl....

I have faced this very question in my own life at one time. God led me to James chapter 1 which talks about our faith being tested when we face temptations or adversity. It says "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing (this), that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have (her)perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:1-4. Much like Job in the old testament, whom didn't do anything wrong yet his friends accused him of it, God allowed the testing of his faith. When we go though trials, our faith is tested. God desires us to continue to trust fully in Him, which at times can be difficult, but God is faithful and tells us that the testings we go through are not more than we can bear. Our afflictions can also bring unity of the Body of Christ which is also discussed in James chapter 5: 13-16, "Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess (your) faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." I hope this helps and is an encouragement even in times when we struggle. God bless

Both answers from Jesse and JESUS's; I agree with and are good I would just add that for the 3 days scripture tells us JESUS went all the way back to (Noe Greek of Noah); the left side of the gulf (Gr. chasma) (a medical word from Luke who was a medical doctor meaning open wound) It is a gulf in the dimension where Gods throne is in paradise; the gulf divides the unrepentant from the repentant. GOD is a GOD of the living and no one is in the ground for absent from the body the spirit instantly returns back to the CREATOR. 2 Corinthians 5:8. CHRIST went there saving those and says HE saved many. CHRIST never stopped for a second of preaching until is last breath, on the cross preaching the whole Ps 22: that was prophesied by David; action for action the entire crucifixion a 1k years before the fact. That should give everyone comfort that the WORD of GOD is true.

Everyone have blessed day and remember every day in the WORD is a good day.

    Dear Carl.

In my opinion I don't think there is a unique answer for these kind of issues. It may be due to any reason or no reason at all. I think the person concerned must ask God about that to get an answer for herself. But a general advice is that since God never promised to not let health problems, happening to people, we have the right as children of God to go to Him and ask for healing having faith in our heart, and even ask for faith itself if we lack in.

I did not mean to use rendering super human they are super natural, all spiritual beings are super natural; our true eternal self. These flesh bodies are not our natural body's but a temporarily body that houses our souls that only the consuming fire of GOD can destroy. Scripture is clear in old and new testaments about the 7k fallen angels leaving their habitation and coming to this dimension and impregnating women. They are allowed to come back again for 5 months for a final test for those who fell with Lucifer and will instantly be destroyed, end of 6th trump never to be heard of again.

Carl; without knowing the full extent of sickness it would be unwise to comment too much on her. But for most illness in a wider sense, is sickness or an evil spirit? My 1st question would be does she fallow Gods health laws? Has she always? that includes eating no scavengers, pork? But GOD wanted to be ruler of HIS people but man rejected and wanted man kings instead. Sense man has ruled they have polluted our environment to a degree that sickness comes. The truth of it is because they have rejected HIM. GOD gave man everything he needs to live healthy and prosperously in HIS WORD. GOD even warned us what would happen with a man king but they still rejected HIM. GOD does not put burdens on people and HE certainly would not cause sickness on one that loves HIM; that is not to say HE wouldn't allow it. It is a true statement that "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" We can't live a rough and tumble life and expect nothing to happen later. Flesh is mortal; Paul spoke on this and said all the pain he endured brought him closer to GOD; I can personally attest to this. Look at poor old Job what he went through, GOD didn't cause it but HE allowed Satan to do it why? To show Satan in a (1 and only time GOD allowed an all-out and out assault, that Job was faithful till death). I say this as politely as I can; if she is a true believer and of faith, repent to be closer at time and anoint her with Olive oil as Gods tells us to do and pray IF it is FATHERS will, heal in YESHUAs name.

All Christians should do this: Anoint your door post again with pure virgin Olive oil asking GOD to bless the oil in prayer. As you anoint with a touch to the top and sides, Ask GOD to bless the home and keep any evil spirits, negativity, illness, from entering the home, command any evil spirits or sickness out if it. FATHERS will be done in YESHUAs name.
