Who has made himself ,what the Lord wants and expects?

It is impossible to know His will for us unless we make ourselves available!

Much like the stone mason , who has an image of what too build, yet He will never know the image until He starts to lay the stone.

The stone is heavy, it is in no certain size, or shape, it is difficult to begin his work, for it is so uncertain!

The final outcome is unknown, yet he looks at each piece as it lays before him.

There are some pieces that will need to be reshaped, and now he begins to see what will take shape!

His hands are sore, his back is weak, His spirit however overcomes it all , as what will become His work will forever be seen!

This is, you see , His work.

This stone He lays with His hands is guided by the unseen!

If only you could see the unseen, than you too would become His workmanship!

    Repent and be Baptized

Quit yourselves like men doesn't mean act macho and be ready to fight; that's why "be strong/courageous/etc. is specified ALONGSIDE it. Sometimes the wise and most courageous thing a man can do is stand down and avoid conflict. God calls on us to be humble and gentle as well. Maybe "quit ye like men" simply means "Act like men/humans/civilized", etc. Because it warlording were in every man's inherent nature, then those other traits wouldn't have needed to be clarified.

The Bible literally refers to God as Godhead, so the few who are uncomfortable with that term can simply use the word Godhead instead. There's a mountain of scriptures showing the dynamic and divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We're here to defend Jesus Christ and anyone trying to discredit or smear His divinity. We should all pray for wisdom, understanding and truth as we read the scriptures so that we are not mislead by the enemy and buy into things that merely fulfill our itching ears.

Okay, thank you John. I understand now that you reject the NT epistles as questionable. I guess we have no more to discuss.

Consider Jesus' witness/testimony about the words he speaks:

"...if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. John 12:47-50

"...the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me..." John 14:10

Consider Jesus' prophesy about how the Holy Ghost will instruct true believers:

"...when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13

When it comes to the disposition of my eternal soul, I'm not interested in opinions expressed in a collection of questionable epistles or the sermons of human pastors; I'm only interested in the unleavened Word of God that came out of Jesus' mouth or the Holy Ghost who is available to those who keep his commandments.

I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."

Always ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what the passages mean.

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

James 3:1 - My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 Corinthians 7:25-28. It's true that this advice wasn't received from the Lord, but Paul gives this instruction to the believers (married & unmarried) in response to the "present distress" (some read it as an 'impending time of suffering'). I don't see anything wrong with an apostle giving advice concerning a situation that the Church is in, or maybe, facing, that hasn't first come from the Lord. He has every right to do so, just as the preacher today shares not only from the Word, but also his personal impressions & encouragements or warnings about events (good or bad) happening around them. This is not Paul's doctrine - it's his teaching, advice for the times they were in. And the believers could have disregarded this advice if they wished, without it being a sin; but the consequences were before them.

In Acts 15:5-30, these were apparently a particular sect of the Pharisees & they believed in Jesus Christ. However, as with the problem with Peter (Galatians chapter 2), here too these men couldn't understand nor accept that Gentiles were not bound by the old Law & of circumcision. Therefore, the determination made by the apostles & elders remained faithful to the Law of the New Covenant in Christ. These believing Pharisees needed to be taught, as also in regards to Peter.

With Acts 5:27-29 & Romans 13:1-7, we see two entirely different scenarios. The first, when the 'powers that be' oppose Christianity & the preaching of the Gospel, and the second, when citizens are required to follow governmental laws for the good of the country. If one should believe that we should not obey the govt that opposes the Gospel, then that belief needs to be effected in other instances, such as refusal to pay taxes, abide by road rules, etc. I doubt if there would be many that would put into practise such an thought.

We should not pick & choose verses to support a belief, rather understand the whole counsel of God given in His Word & yes, even holding onto apostolic teaching.

Very true. We all need to be exercised, no longer focussed on the body, but more importantly, the spirit.

Galatians 5:24,25: "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." And 'walking in the Spirit' doesn't mean we also hold hands with the world, still praising the Lord.

Jesus warns his disciples to beware of leaven (false doctrine) that will be added to the unleavened bread that comes down from heaven (even the very Word of God). 1st Corinthians 7:25 is a prime example of the introduction of doctrine that did not come from the Lord. The author(s) even tells you they didn't get it from the Lord. Consider what Jesus instructs us all in John 7:16-18 "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him." Therefore, if anyone introduces their own doctrine, unrighteousness is in them.

In Acts 15 the Pharisees proposed doctrine that was in opposition of the Holy Ghost. The Apostles recognized it and rejected the Pharisee's doctrine as leaven. It did not come from God, it came from their heart. What's in a person's heart is what comes out of their mouth. By thy words shalt thou be justified and by thy words shalt thou be condemned.

Romans also introduces false doctrine when they suggest that the "powers that be" are ordained of God and should be obeyed. The Apostles taught no such thing. In fact they taught the opposite. The "powers that be" said to them: "Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine [...] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men." ( Acts 5:28-29).

The Bible says to " Place Yourself on The Alter of Sacrifice" That is a word that is not used much today. Not many are willing to even Sacrifice the few hrs. Per week to attend Church. We can sit mindless in front of a TV or Screen for hrs. But we have no time to Study to show ourselves approved. That we have a solid understanding of God's Word. We can shop, play golf, hunt, school ,exercise and any number of activities. But we have no time to Pray. The most common excuse for all the above. I'm too tired. We act like the World, dress, go to the same places. But yet God said ,,Come out from among them and be ye separate, be different.

But just like Israel we want to be like all the other Nations, People, kids, The Churches. I know how stupid it is for me to get Marked all over my body with ink. But I want to fit the in. It's all called Sacrifice. It's amazing to me the Sacrifices People will make for job advancement, to get in shape. Spend thousands on clothes, hair, cars, lands, material goods. But won't give God the Tithe, and now we are carrying a curse. I think of all the Heroic Men and Women who have sacrificed their lives for a Freedom we take for granted.

Therein lies, the dilemma,Jesus said"Whom The Son hath set Free, he is Free indeed". But that Freedom came with The Sacrifice. And to maintain it, certain Sacrifices will have to be made. I'm not Knocking anyone who plays Golf, it's not a sin. But every weekend I would take off early and come home late, usually drunk. But when I gave my Heart to God, I started going to Church on Sunday, suddenly, I wanted to be home on Saturday. I battled quitting the Addiction of Skoal, it was tough. But God's grace is sufficient. In 1996, I lost to Drink,Smoke, Curse. I'm still a work in progress, I don't have time to tell of the fasting, other things God said put them to the side. We don't Serve Please-us . We serve Jesus.

Lemme give ya my view on Baptism...When Jesus asked that woman at the well for drink he said whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst Again...Thats salvation by water baptism...But H.G. BAPTISM IS A HEAVENLY WATER WHICH IS THE GIFT OF GOD

But the water that i will give him shall be a well of water springing up unto everlasting life...Thats H.G. Baptism...Our thirst for Salvation cannot be quenched by Water Baptism...But only by H.G BAPTISM....There is only 1 baptism of PROMISE which is H.G. baptism...The gift of God the Promise

......When Jesus said behold i send the Promise of my Father upon you that was baptism of the H.G....Which was the birth of a baby Christ the H.G that Child of Promise...As he said that which is born of the spirit is spirit thats the H.G. THE CHILD OF PROMISE..The multiplication of Christ in humanity via his seed his WORDS..His breath,..When he breathe on them he was propagating very God which is the H.G. THAT CHILD OF PROMISE...Thats y Jesus is saying unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in...Thats y we refer to the H.G as the Child of Promise...He is the multiplication of CHRIST IN US VIA HIS SEED THE WORD....The Granson the beginning of an Israel of God born in humanity.

.....Jesus cd not refer to the H.G. as the Promise if he were not the multiplication of Christ in humanity...The Son of man...Mankinds fruit unto God.

.....That was the original Promise when God swore by himself...I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven...Thus the H.G. wants to be born in us via the seed of Christ Jesus...Thats y the new birth is so important...Unless you receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child...You will in no wise enter there in....i know that i am being repititious but i cannot help it i am obsessed with the seed of the Sower and baptism of the H.G. THE Promise...That living water..We are gonna have a Baby...She brought forth a manchild...which is the H.G....Emanuel...I see in the spirit.

    Adam,

Thank's for the reply. My apology if I offended you. Now that I know that you are sensitive about someone disagreeing with you, I'll be more careful. Maybe just saying I respectfully disagree would be better? I am not disagreeing that everyone will have their day of judgement. We will all stand before the Lord one day. I just don't believe that both believers and non-believers get judged together at the same day. 2 Corinthians 5:10 is for believers only. This is the Bema seat of Christ. This judgment for believers is to determine their reward. It's described in 1 Corinthians Chapter 3. Believers pass through the fire, and whatever is of Christ, we will receive a reward, and whatever is not will burn, but we as believers will be saved ( 1 Corinthians 3:15). I'm glad you mentioned Revelation 20:12-15. To answer your question, yes, it does indicate multitudes will be judged at once, but multitudes doesn't necessarily mean both believers and non-believers together. It just says multitudes. So who are they? According to the verses that precede this, these multitudes are non-believers who will be at the Great White Throne judgment ( Revelation 20:11). They are resurrected after the 1,000 reign of Christ, and they (multitudes) will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. They don't take part in the first resurrection. There will be no believers at this judgment because this resurrection takes place after the 1,000 year reign, and Revelation 20:6 tells us that we (believers) take part in the first resurrection, the second death has no power over us, and that we will be reigning with Christ for 1,000 years. While we are reigning with Christ, all the non-believers are still in the grave awaiting their resurrection and judgment. Everyone at that judgment (Multitudes) will be cast into the lake of fire. No person at the GWT judgment will escape the second death in the lake of fire.

Jesus Christ was God from all eternity past, is so in the present, and ever will be. He did not need to be 'born again' for He was and is God. For Jesus to have to be 'born again' would imply that he had a corrupt sin nature - and that, He did not. He bore our sin but He had no sin in Himself. He ever had the Spirit without measure.

We are born again by the incorruptible Word of God, 1 Peter 1:29. When the uncorrupted Word of God is preached, and heard, God the Holy Spirit brings conviction to the hearer(s), reveals Christ to the hearer(s), makes the hearer(s) see their need for a Savior, and drags them to Jesus to be saved.

God the Father gave His only beloved Son to be our Savior.

Jesus had promised that when He would ascend back to heaven, He would not leave His people orphans, but send the Holy Spirit. We do not have Jesus physically with us yet; we have the indwelling of the Spirit.

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven.

Is this not clear, then, that there are Three persons in one Godhead?

Study to show yourself approved unto God, workmen that needeth not be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING the Word of truth.

  • DO PROPHETS EXIST IN THE NT CHURCH - In Reply - 1 year ago
These are Jesus's words to His Apostles

    1 CORINTHIANS 12

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily PROPHETS, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

We shouldn't dispute any scripture. If what a prophet prophesies DOES NOT COME TO PASS, do not fear that prophet. If it is of God, it will come to pass.

There are still some unfulfilled prophesies in the Bible. There are lists on Google of the prophesies (separated by OT and NT, which scriptures that show them fulfilled or not.

Jesus took the wrath of God at the cross; and when his life ended; he said "it is finished" thus overcoming through His perfect sacrifice for our sake. Christ was to then go to the paradise section of hades; as He stated to the thief on the cross "today you shall b with me in paradise." He then went to set the captives free; as I believe Peter stated. He was; on his arrival there in His Spirit form to proclaim to those who were bound and already awaiting judgment (all lost and Nephilim; fallen angels in chains in the torment part); that He had triumphed over Satan; who now no longer holds the power of death (or restriction from entering heaven itself). Accordingly; He who is now absent from the body is present with the Lord if saved. He then; of course arose from the dead and many of the saints at that time apparently rose from the dead (a sort of first of the firstfuits). The souls of the saved O.T. saints would have been also able at that time to enter into heaven. That would of course also include the thief who would have had the shortest visit to paradise ever.

Therefore; the message given there was a proclamation; it was too late for it to be a salvation message. Now; there is only a torment place in hedes; where the prisoners await final judgment at the White Throne Judgment.
  • Offerings Unto the Lord - In Reply on Leviticus 1 - 1 year ago
    Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

Lev. 1:10-17 Those who could not offer a bullock, were to bring a sheep or a goat; and those who were not able to do that, were accepted of God, if they brought a turtle-dove, or a pigeon. Those creatures were chosen for sacrifice which were mild, and gentle, and harmless; to show the innocence and meekness that were in Christ, and that should be in Christians. The offering of the poor was as typical of Christ's atonement as the more costly sacrifices, and expressed as fully repentance, faith, and devotedness to God. We have no excuse, if we refuse the pleasant and reasonable service now required. But we can no more offer the sacrifice of a broken heart, or of praise and thanksgiving, than an Israelite could offer a bullock or a goat, except as God hath first given to us. The more we do in the Lord's service, the greater are our obligations to him, for the will, for the ability, and opportunity. In many things God leaves us to fix what shall be spent in his service, whether of our time or our substance; yet where God's providence has put much into a man's power, scanty offerings will not be accepted, for they are not proper expressions of a willing mind. Let us be devoted in body and soul to his service, whatever he may call us to give, venture, do, or suffer for his sake.

Hello sir or madam, I am happy to dialog with you if you share your name so I know who I'm communicating with and if you are respectful. Just saying someone is "incorrect" without any scriptures to back it up isn't getting off on the right foot, however.

I believe all will be judged on a particular day because the Bible says the phrase "day of judgment", "the day when", the "last day". It doesn't say there's multiple days of judgment or a week or month or years of judgment, or that judgment is only whenever you die. Here's some examples:

1 John 4:17 "day of judgment"

    Matthew 12:36 "day of judgment"

2 Peter 2:9 "day of judgment"

    Matthew 11:22 "day of judgment"

2 Corinthians 5:10 "we must all"

Romans 2:16 - "the day when"

    John 12:48 "last day"

Revelation 20:12-15 is a vision, but that verse also indicates multitudes judged at once does it not? So, the scriptural support is strong. Do you feel you have just as much scriptural support against this? Do you know of any verses that say the the opposite?

Aside from being a particular day, you questioned that all will be judged, and suggested 2 different judgments.

We also know this judgment is for everyone, because in verse 15 it says those not found in the book of life were cast into the fire. So, this event sorted people. It doesn't say that in this judgment ALL went to hell or ALL went to heaven. A judgment is a judgment of each individual "according to their works" and determines where they go according to verse 15.

"If that's what you are saying, then that is incorrect."

If your belief is based on scripture then please share it. If your belief is not based on scripture then you have greater concerns.

"Otherwise, how are we to know if what you believe is the correct truth?"

Since you didn't provide any scriptural support someone is more likely to ask you this.

    God bless.

Amen. Prophecy in the Bible is still ongoing but the last recorded authenticated prophecy was Revelation. To those stating there are prophets beyond John the beloved, I'd ask, "what prophesy are you adding to what's already been told or what do you choose to remove?"

There's a strong warning In Revelation 22: 18&19 to anyone claiming to be a prophet today.

So far, every response only confirms my question: yes, she was at the tomb, etc. But...my question remains UNanswered. There is nothing in the NT that describes Mary's contact with Jesus until His death on the cross.

Where are the sources describing any contact or teaching or anything between Mary and Jesus BEFORE His death?

    Hey James,

The 6th hour would have been around noon, the same time of day it went dark when Jesus was on the cross. The hours of the day, the first hour is around 7 am and they are counted up to around 6 pm with 12 hours. The daylight hours are from sunrise to sunset, and the night, the dark time of the day hours are also 12 from sunset to sunrise.

    Hope this helps.

    God bless,

  • Mary Magdalene in Scripture - 1 year ago
The Gospel of Luke 8:2-3 lists Mary Magdalene as one of the women who traveled with Jesus and helped support his ministry "out of their resources", indicating that she was probably wealthy. The same passage also states that seven demons had been driven out of her, a statement which is repeated in Mark 16. In all the four canonical gospels, Mary Magdalene was a witness to the crucifixion of Jesus and, in the Synoptic Gospels, she was also present at his burial. All the four gospels identified her, either alone or as a member of a larger group of women which includes Jesus's mother, as the first to witness the empty tomb,[1] and, either alone or as a member of a group, as the first to witness Jesus's resurrection.[2]

I've read historical accounts, that in the Book of Acts, witnesses went house to house, witnessing events to others. That's how Jesus wanted it. Person to person witnessing.
