Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21- And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Romans 4:22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Hebrews 11:6 (But without faith it is impossible to please him): for he that cometh to God (must believe) that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

1Sa 31:12 All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.

It is not sinful to cremate your body and is the cheapest way of burial as not to burden those left behind. Once we are done with these body's we are done never to return to them; so whatever form you wish to discard your fleshy body has no bearing on your heavenly one. Our flesh ages and gets sick but our spiritual last forever and is perfect, able to run and leap like a deer and last forever.

2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Job was the 3rd son Issachar ( Genesis 46:13) he would of gone down to Egypt with his father. Issachar was 40 at "the going down to Egypt" Job would have been about 20 at that time (1706 bc). We are told he lived 140 years after his double blessing Gen. 42:10. If the double blessing included length of years then his age would have been 70 + 140 = 210 (3 70's of years). His lifetime would be 1726 to1516 BC. According to this, he was born the year after Joseph was sold, and died 119 years after the death of Joseph (in 1635 BC). When Joseph died, Job was 91. If his double blessing did include length of years (little doubt that they did) then his affliction took place 21 years previously, when he was 70. When Job died (1516) Moses was 55 and had been in Midian 15 years, 25 years before the Exodus. This would account for Job being a worshiper of GOD of Abraham, and explains how Moses could have been the author of the book, and perhaps an eye and ear witness of the events it records in Midian. Scholars have no other knowledge than this but we know for sure it was only given to us through the inspiration of GOD.

God told Moses "You can not look upon me and live"... also in scripture "He will destroy them with the brightness of his coming" Question--if i can't look upon his glory and live in this flesh "is it the same" with looking upon the horry of the Devil and be scared to death? i get the concept of the light, but just as much that is light there is equal amount of darkness...Scripture says out of the darkness God said let there be light so how powerful is that darkness?????

Dear "Lori-an holt", Daniel himself says Lord in 10:17.

But perhaps someone else has read similar scriptures and has a different understanding. Because no capital letter is used. Personally, I read it as the Lord. God bless us in the name of Jesus, love you in Christ. Romans 13:11-14

After a lifetime of walking teaching and healing, we see Christ in the garden. Kneeling before His Father as always, it seems in the middle of the night, Christ rises and stomps on the head of Satan, who wishes to change the Son of Gods plan!

After what has happened again in our land, it becomes Satan's plan once again to change the plan of salvation for every soul here on earth!

His objective is clear, clearly set forth to cover all his bases, yet we, who are living in the spirit, also have come to place, a place where the savior was, alone and in most distress of questioning and uncertainty!

Our country under attack, the church without its first love, the love of many waxing cold!

Who will stand and crush this ones head? Who will speak the truth and say, these things are from this evil one! This one who's only desire is to send the soul to hell!

If you are seeing things correctly, then you are with Him in Gethsemane, kneeling, ready and standing up, while crushing this ones head!

We must understand that all things are temporal, that everlasting life is for those who trust Him at His word.

This word He gave His life for! Repent and be baptized

Dear "Laurie Wilson", to give you an example, unclean thoughts, thoughts of destruction, thoughts of murder, thoughts of envy and so on. All thoughts that are not peaceful or loving are often thoughts that we must fight against. And carnal desires are unclean, and in many ways we may have tribulation. But God is good in the name of Jesus, here we are talking about people who have lived with God for a long time, those who have been enlightened in the word and act on it. You can find such warriors here on the web. Occupation warriors are improvers, beggars and intercessory warriors.

Just so you know: God does not take an infant / child / youth to be a warrior if that person is not capable of being a warrior. In the kingdom of God there are many tasks!

Jesus who filled us with His Love, and who you can get to know as you read God's Word. Bible King James Version is Alfa and Omega. Jesus thru Holy Spirit will lead you to Peace, for your own part with God. Therefore, we have been told that our struggle is not of this world, if you are enlightened and have received Jesus to live in you. Can you become an active warrior.

You use the spiritual Sword to understand what it means. Many times it can be yourself you pray for. Other times, the fight may be for other people. But know that the Lord Jesus always has a way out of the struggles. Pray in spirit and truth and He will deliver you from the prison garment! :) The best examples are in:

    Ephesisans 6:11-18

    Hebrew 4:12

And remember that if you do something work for the Lord Jesus, the burden is light. As it stands Matthew 11:28-30

Thanks Susan for confirming that it was Psalm 119 you're looking at. As for the "references", I'm unsure whether you're wanting to know what each group within this Psalm refers to, or, what these verses are speaking of.

Since this Psalm doesn't indicate an author, it would be difficult to place verses with a particular event in the Bible. The Psalmist only knows his situation & he is sharing his testimonies & observations about it.

However, and sharing very generally here, each group of verses in the Psalm are written under each successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet. So verses 49 to 56 (Zain), 57 to 64 (Cheth), & 65 to 72 (Teth) are seen. The whole Psalm has a central thought that it is only God's Word that contains everything a person needs to know. And to complement this belief, the Psalmist uses various words for the Word or Law of God; namely: Law, Testimonies, Precepts, Statutes, Commandments, Judgements, Word and Path. And at least one of these words can be seen in each stanza (grouping). Each of these terms has a specific meaning, especially to Hebrew readers, & together in the Psalm, they give an understanding of what the Psalmist is trying to emphasize about the world (both personal & corporate).

I'm sorry if what I've shared doesn't really answer your question. Anything more than this, would require much detail about the verses themselves, and I'm unsure whether that's what you seek.

Thanks for correcting me, GiGi. I somehow thought that you & maybe a couple of other family members were around her when your sister, being the eldest, made that decision to disconnect. I agree with you, that I too couldn't do it - we may have a few regrets in life that we carry in our hearts & have to live with, but that's one that would be too painful for me. Blessings.

    Phil,

A bloodline is established by the transference of DNA from the gametes (egg and sperm) of each parent. A bloodline is not passed down through blood, but by DNA in these gametes.

And I do not have any Scripture saying Joseph adopted Jesus. But he did raise Him as his son having married Mary before Jesus was born. Maybe he did adopt him and maybe not. I think that adoption was much simpler back then. But the Scripture is silent about these things.

    Thanks Chris.

I was not there when she passed. I would not have agreed to remove oxygen because it probably only spared her an hour or so. I would rather that God decide her time, and in the meantime, I would continue to give oxygen or fluids or whatever she would allow until God chooses her last breath, etc. So I am glad I was not there. That would have been very disturbing to me. I am pro-life which means that I would never take an action to shorten or end someone's life either in the womb or at any other stage of life. My Mom did not want to have CPR or be on a life support machine. I agree with that. I don't want that either. If I am gone, I'm gone. Let me be. I would be going to be with Jesus. But, others may feel differently and I can respect that. My dad was 62 when he had his first and only heart attack. He was put on life support machines, but was determined to be brain dead soon after. He died before the night was over, so we did not have to decide to remove the life support from him, which was the plan for the next day. God took him in His time. I would have wanted that for my Mom as well. When we were called to the hospital, the Dr. said it may take about 12 hours for her to die. She was still alive 20 hours later. But was very near death.

Thank you for sharing about your Mom. So sad to die so young. God helped you to prepare for the news your Dad was to bring you.
  • Chris - In Reply on Zephaniah 2 - 1 year ago
Thank you for sharing those sad last moments with your Mother, GiGi. And I was particularly moved by the decision of your sister to remove the oxygen supply from her. I'm sure that would have been a very, very difficult moment for you & others there.

My Father was in a similar situation when he was by his wife's side at hospital as she was in her final moments in her cancer-riddled body. I was at school doing revision for upcoming exams, when at 3:15 pm, I felt something lift off me & I then gazed out of the class window. Fortunately, my teacher didn't chide me for losing my focus. I didn't know what happened, just had that strange lightness & release. Dad met me when I arrived home later & told me that Mom had gone & later shared that at around 3 pm, she was very weak, incoherent & with very laboured breathing. He could have disconnected her tube, but he just took hold of her, kissed her, & prayed to our Merciful Father to take her Home. With that, she stopped breathing - she was only 40 yrs old.

I just share that because we can trust the Lord to deal with the terminally ill & also with loved ones, in a way beyond our knowledge & feelings. He does all things well & how much more when a soul is at the entrance to eternity. Even as David acknowledged, "My times are in thy hand" ( Psalm 31:15); he knew full well, whether through illness or the onslaught of the enemy (as the Psalm suggests), God is the One in control & He will give or take away according to His Will.

Is old age a punishment? Or should one be allowed to elect death instead of enduring extended suffering? Now, I'm in that old-age bracket; life has slowed down some, few more aches, pains & stiffness, but I don't regard it as punishment, but to use our days to give thanks to the Lord for His Goodness, to live for Him, to be a witness to the 'younger' ones of God's Faithfulness, that this life is passing, yet it's a time to be ready for an eternity with the Lord, Who has given us His all for us.

    Peace to you.

For what it may be worth:

"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man." Genesis 9:3-6

"...blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it." Numbers 35:33

According to John Chapter 9, sinners can be born in the flesh again (and their blood can be shed so the land can be cleansed).

What's the meaning of spiritual warfare?
  • John anonymous - In Reply - 1 year ago
For what it may be worth:

Consider the beast described in Job Chapter 41:

Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron.

His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.

Said beast appears to predate modern animals because he is not subject to the following curse:

"...the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered." Genesis 9:2

    Happy hunting...

Also, where does it state that Joseph "adopted" Jesus..... He is called the carpenter's son in Matthew, but what verse teaches he was adopted? It seems that the daughter's of Zelophehad had a similar situation over an inheritance... In Numbers 36 the answer is given....If the woman is a widow, she is to marry under the same tribe as she and her dead husband was... Then and only then could the daughter's get the inheritance.... Mary had to marry a man of the same tribe as her, then Jesus would qualify....This was new revelation from Jehovah. See Numbers
