Dear Ms. Wilson: I thought it would be prudent to mention that even Paul was "buffeted" by a thorn in the flesh from Satan. Other verses state that when we are weak; then (in the Spirit) we are strong; and His grace is sufficient ( 2 Cor. 12:9). Since God chastises all He loves; our motives are tested that reflect who is truly "King of our hearts". The allurement of the world; flesh and devil WILL overwhelm us if we don't have a firm foundation as seen of those in the parable of the seed who have the cares of this world cause them not to bring fruit to maturity.
We are to have complete trust in God; along with renouncing any known sin that gives the enemy a legal foothold. The accuser of our souls is stated in Revelation 12:10 to be at work; and he doesn't rest day and night as a roaring lion (see James). When we are saved; we realize that Christ has indeed overcome and we are in reality in our new nature dead to sin; while simultaneously struggling with our old flesh nature. Demons will install thoughts in our minds that SEEM like euphoric emotions that our natural man can relate to and mimics our own thoiught patterns. When we test the spirits; however; we see what the reality is. We are to expect to be hated and despitefully treated; as a servant is no greater than his master ( Matthew 10:24). The enemy will use thoughts; and other people to go after us. Sinners (including us) are enemies to God and when Christ is seen people will either be drawn to Him or repulsed. We as believers are not to conceal sin; but remove ourselves from it; as well as confessing when we have hurt others for forgiveness so that we don't get a hardened heart. Satan also likes to convince us that we are still helpless; and tries to get us to break off fellowship; as well as oppressing many saints. I sense that he likes to convince us we will have to go through the Tribulation as well. Time is getting short; I pray that you will allow God to strengthen you.
Christian Marriage and Divorce - In Reply - 1 year ago
1 Corinthians 7
(Is a good chapter to understand the Lord's views on marriage and divorce.)
Comment: Christian marriages are not the same as marriages between unbelievers. (the world system). That's why we enter into a covenant of marriage soberly.
In Jewish culture the couple are betrothed for one year before the marriage. It's time to get to know one another. The bride-to-be would cook dinners for her betrothed and the family.
Commentaries:
Wesley's Notes for Matthew 5:31
Let him give her a writing of divorce - Which the scribes and Pharisees allowed men to do on any trifling occasion. # Deut 24:1; Matt 19:7; Mark 10:2; Luke 16:18.
People's Bible Notes for Matthew
Mt 5:31,32 Whosoever shall put away his wife. The divorce laws were very lax among the Jews. A man could put away his wife "for any cause" ( Matthew 19:8). Moses directed a legal letter of divorcement ( Deuteronomy 24:1).
Christ positively forbids divorce except for unchastity. Marriage is a divine institution, and the obligation is for life.
The First person to sit on the 3rd Temple Throne will be Antichrist - In Reply - 1 year ago
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
2 Thessalonians 4:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that HE AS God sitteth in the temple of God, SHOWING HIMSELF that he is "God."
[I just want to highlight the fact that the Antichrist will sit on the throne in the 3rd Temple, so as to prove to himself.that he is "god".
He is deceived, and will try to deceive the world that he is god.]
There is much more info of this on Nelson Walters youtube website. The videos are very informative.
The primary theme of the first oracle is Balaam's inability to curse what God has not cursed. The primary theme of the second oracle is the trustworthiness of God's promises. For now, consider that the actions of this foreigner as a commentary on the Israelites' inclination to curse what God has not cursed (the wilderness) and their lack of trust in God.
Yes, Christ is our blessed hope and we are not appointed unto His wrath. I think 1 Thessalonians 5:9 is often overlooked. The grace of God teaches us to deny all ungodliness. The word deny means to reject. When we're faced with ungodliness, we're to reject it. We have a position down here. We have an approach to the world and life down here, that we should reject the lusts, and the ungodliness, but live rightly lined up with God in respect and reverence for Him. But at the same time, looking for that blessed hope, that living hope that you mentioned, the glorious appearing. In the Greek text, it talks about the appearing of His glory, the appearing of the glory of the great God, and our Savior Jesus Christ. So that's our position. That's our life summed up in the believer right there.
Now, where does this put us once we are raptured. We will not be here during the tribulation period. What purpose would we have here during that time? It wouldn't be to reach people for Christ. God already has a plan for that. During this terrible time on earth, once God's Spirit is removed, we will be participating in the marriage supper of the lamb. We are given this in Revelation Chapter 19. It talks about armies in heaven that will follow Christ upon white horses when He comes at His second coming. Who are these armies? That would be us. We are the ones who are clothed in fine linen, white and clean. ( Revelation 19:7-8).
There are no particular Bible verses to discuss men's apparel but the word used in the King Jame Bible that refers to who we ought to adorn ourselves outwardly is "conversation." When the King James Bible was written, the word conversation was not necessarily referring to a manner of speech...it has an older definition which we can still find in the Noah Webster 1828 (Bible-based) Dictionary:
CONVERSATION, noun
1. General course of manners; behavior; deportment; especially as it respects morals.
Let your conversation be as becometh the gospel. Philippians 1:27.
Be ye holy in all manner of conversation 1 Peter 1:15.
Noah Webster insisted those verses be listed as example which also go back to your comment about mean wearing shorts. I'd say we have to be discerning on what's appropriate and inappropriate on how we adorn ourselves when entering the house of God or in public. There's nothing sinful about wearing shorts for a man but I'd say...they should be below the knees. That's just my opinion. Men or women wearing shorts above the knees goes back to the same issue with women who wore mini skirts back in the 50's-70's. Skirts weren't the problem if they wore them below the knees. Those who wore them above the knees...I'd say that would not be a Holy manner of conversation (based on the above definition).
Amen! I like how this brother Spencer here referred to it as the old "blessed hope." Be careful with the topic though. There's always a millennialistic replacement theology teacher to hop into these threads stating the rapture, tribulation and 2nd coming already happened. I won't get into why that's unbiblical and sinful to teach (not enough characters to type a full rebuke). But, those of your who know what's coming and are ready...what a wonderful day that will be.
Please stop slandering the King James Bible site with heresies. It's appalling some of the things you've written here. You wrote in the topic of abortion (now removed) denoting that a fetus is nothing more than a means to hold onto the uterus. That "fetus" you're talking about is life. That fetus you claim a woman can abort because of violation or choice God gives a heartbeat which is detectable within 3-4 weeks of gestation. And when you are telling people on a Holy Bible (KJV) site to open that as a debatable discussion, keep in mind...this IS NOT social media (where fringe ideas, conspiracy theories, discord, slander, religion and other atrocities are welcome). You're condoning murder. Your name says free but there's no freedom in condoning young distraught readers who may have come here contemplating an abortion and read comments like that. Image if one read that here and committed an abortion and one asked, "now, where did you read that abortion is okay in the case of rape?" And they say, "I read it from "Free" on the King James Bible Online. This is one of the few safe spaces in which sound doctrine can be taught and learned. You also stated "medical doctors are of the antichrist." On the contrary, more doctors have done more for the ministry than most others. I'd say anyone here's welcome but this is not healthy to be writing these things on a Bible site.
I have these verses and leave you with these:
2 Timothy 3:5 "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (Knowing in part the Bible or Salvation but denying the power thereof)
1 John 2:19
"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."
Ephesians 2:8-9 are the verses and an open door to God's free Salvation.
How liberating the gospel is! How liberating Jesus is, and what liberty the Holy Spirit gives as we walk in Him!!
Before being saved, I did whatever pleased my flesh, thinking that THAT was 'normal life'!! I just 'had' to follow the crowd, right?
But now, in Jesus, I don't HAVE to sin! I am FREE to NOT do those things that I once loved (and which I now abhor!!) , and I have Holy Ghost power to ENABLE me to mortify the inner corruptions and to walk away from sin! How immensely grateful I am for this liberty! It is marvelous! It feels so clean, so fresh to walk in the Blessed Holy Spirit!
Thank you for the reminder, Free, that we are no longer slaves, but free and redeemed all because of Jesus!
The Greek word for trouble is "talaipora" (suffering ,discomfort, hardship, trouble, tribulation. The word tribulation has a real meaning here, even in the real life of a person who is experiencing it.
Much more than what scripture teaches of mankind and His end in relationship to God, a tribulation that is yet too come,
we know this is what the bible teaches.
Tribulation, however in the present sense is effecting many of Gods children ,having its way now.
Tribulation will start out small in its nature, even though it is ignored, it will make its way through worry, discomfort, hardship, and even suffering. Real tribulation in the here and now is real! For many a daily experience!
If you are experiencing it, than you know its veracity!
Suffering tribulation, can be overwhelming, it can effect you physically, depriving one of sleep, eating and drinking, even begin too question God, is their a God , is He returning!
If you are experiencing these you are living in tribulation.
These things are defendable. You can overcome tribulation!
Christ said "I and my Father are one".
They are in one essence, one in the here and now. Even in the midst of trouble , even in our temptation to deny the trinity, they are as the Sun, the wind, the rain , even as the heaven above!
There is nothing that can separate us from this love!
Even so, we need never forget His omniscience, his omnipresence, his omnipotent Being, when He says "I am with you always".
When you begin to think this way, you will have the comfort that can only come from above ,below, and beside you! "I am with you always even to the end of the earth! Jesus Christ died for these truths that will save you and me!
Let me tell ya what i see in the Spirit....I see a Child coming which is the H.G. that Child of Promise that is gonna be born in everyone as Jeremiah saw all men in travail and birth pains....Which is that manchild that is gona rule ALL Nations...The field is the world where that good seed is gona be sown ..in mans hearts....Which is beautiful for situation as David said, there is no more a beautiful place for the Kingdom to be but in MANS Hearts to lead us and guide us....Beautiful for situation as David said Psalms 48 : 2 kjv...The Joy of this WHOLE WORLD ..New Jerusalem...the city of the GREAT king...Christ Jesus in our hearts VIA the H.G. That Child of Promise...Whosoever receiveth one such Child in MY NAME receiveth ME.
.....Jesus said the Father will send the H.G. in my name John 14 : 26 ...Thus the New Birth will result in a heavenly Child that Child of Promise...As we have born the image of the earthly as must also bear the image of the heavenly...Which is the Child of Promise..That stars of heaven ppl an ISRAEL OF GOD, Spirits the H.G which is Christ seed....As his WORDS are SPIRIT AND LIFE.
.....That Woman in Rev. 12 : 5 giving birth is a beautiful sign that this whole world is gona give birth to the H.G that Child of Promise via the seed of Christ JESUS...The Bridegroom,...Its his SEED that is gonna fulfill that great Promise of Christ being multiplied as the stars of heaven.. Gen 22 : 17 kjv ....Jesus cd not refer to the H.G. as the Promise if the H.G was not the multiplication of Christ...that great Promise when God almighty swore by his very self...And just think what Jesus said to whom the word came his seed it made them Gods....And the scripture cannot be broken..I just felt this in my SPIRIT....GBU ALL...God bless us everyone...We cannot make void that great PROMISE....NOT IN THIS LIFE NOR IN THE LIFE TO COME
We now see a 'converted' Balaam, one who goes to the Lord to receive His Word & then speaks it with boldness, even to a king who has the power to take his life in an instant. When once he thought he could make gain by getting God to change His Mind, Balaam now learned to heed every Word of God & to declare it without fear or shame.
The lesson: For us as well, when we know God's Word & what His Spirit directs us to do, we must not fail to heed it and do it. God will be pleased, we will be blessed, and those who stand in opposition against us will one day know the word brought to them is of the Lord & He will indeed bring it to pass. And they need to heed it & not be foolish & resistant like Balak.
In this chapter, we see a changed Balaam, one who confidently gave God's Word to Balak & brought it out in a series of parables (actually, poems). Balak tried hard to convince Balaam to bless Moab, but each time was given a clear Word from the Lord. As Balaam said, "All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do." ( Numbers 23:26); we see a very different Balaam now.
Continuing with this next chapter, Mukula, I will share some thoughts.
In Numbers chapter 22, we're reminded that this is the same God Who had to earlier deal with His children, Israel, to teach them to fear & obey Him (as we saw in Numbers chapter 21). Here, we can learn the lesson that God is not limited in His resources which can prevail upon all men; even to non-Israelites, God can bring forth His Word & put into effect His Plan. So also Gentiles can learn who this God of Israel is & that they too must fear Him.
The two main stars in this chapter (not including the ass) are Balaam (a non-Israelite seer) & Balak (a Gentile King of Moab: related to Lot & his eldest daughter: Genesis 19:31-38). Somehow Balaam knew of the True God, even though he was a Gentile living in N. Mesopotamia. He seemed to be a successful 'prophet' of some repute, & maybe in this instance sought after God because the children of God (Israel) were involved, poised against Moab. Balaam eventually learned his lesson the painful way, not to fool with God & try to change His Mind. So Baalam at least acknowledged his sin (22:34).
Hi Randy. There's only one occasion that I can recall in the Bible of divorce being sanctioned & had taken place, but I may be wrong in this; there may be more than one. You didn't give a full reference to your Scripture quote, so can I assume Matthew 19:7-9? You then may be enquiring for an example of someone in the Bible who fits that situation of divorce & re-marriage. A 'general' event of divorce, is given in Ezra chapter 10.
The account leading up to it, is when the Jews return from their Babylonian captivity under Zerubbabel & the Temple foundation is laid. When Ezra later returns to Jerusalem, he wants to bring about a spiritual revival from the returnees (you can read about it in Ezra chapter 9). Then in chapter 10, as a part of their repentance before God, Shechaniah confessed that many of the people had taken 'strange wives' from the land they were exiled in. As you read chapter 10, you will see from verse 10 that Ezra brings them to confession about their wrong marriages & were called to "put away their wives..and offer a ram (as a sacrifice) for their trespass" ( Ezra 10:19). And then from verse 20 to 44 a very long list of (guilty) men is given, those who must put away (divorce) their strange (Gentile) wives. This is the only occasion that I can recall that shows divorces had to be carried out.
"And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters."
Here's the verse you mentioned in context. Picking it up from the previous verse. John 11:25-26. Jesus said unto her, I AM THE RESURRECTION, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
I believe the Lord is talking about the second death as seen here in Revelation.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 2:11.
Also Revelation 20:6.
When we are born again we are Identified with Christ death. "Baptism. Romans 6:2-6.
Christ is the first fruit.
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."
"the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:" Genesis 3:22
God forbid them to eat from the tree of life.
Adam and Eve died a "spiritual death" in the day they ate the forbidden fruit;
and Adam did not experience "physical death" until he was around a thousand years old.
In Ephesians 6:11. we see mentioned the Armour of God and also the wiles of the Devil.
Vs 11. "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
In Ephesians 6:12. Is where I believe you will find your answer.
Vs 12. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
It's what's behind the scene wickedness is what are at war with, whether the prince of this world, (Satan) his governing and influence on those in the flesh. On nations, People, other religions and Some Churches. False teachers is spiritual warfare against the truth. Ministers of Satan!! One way ou recognize them is they have no purpose but lure you away from the truth. The Armour of God protects us.
Here's an example.
Matthew 16:23. But he turned, and said unto Peter, GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Jesus goes right to the source behind Peter.
Also here.
Acts 16:16-18. And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
We are to be looking for that blessing hope. Not wrath.
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:12-13.
We are not looking for wrath.
Zephaniah 1:14-15. The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
1 Thessalonians 5:9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Some argue that Christ comes after the tribulation but before Christ pours out his wrath but
2 Thessalonians 2:7-8. seems to suggest not.
"For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, UNTIL HE BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY.
( And then shall that Wicked be revealed,) whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"
The Holyspirit would never be removed and leave the Church behind. John 14:17-18. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU COMFORTLESS: I will come to you.
Thanks GiGi. I feel the heaviness on your heart concerning your sisters & the decision they took. The Lord is merciful - He understands - He will judge righteously.

Possibly the post incarnate Christ.
Striking resemblance in
Revelation 1:13-15.
"And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters."
I hope this helps.
God bless.
Well spoken Brother Chris.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23.
It means we won't face judgment.
God bless.
"the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:" Genesis 3:22
God forbid them to eat from the tree of life.
Adam and Eve died a "spiritual death" in the day they ate the forbidden fruit;
and Adam did not experience "physical death" until he was around a thousand years old.
Spiritual warfare.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
I hope this helps.
God bless.
We are to be looking for that blessing hope. Not wrath.
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
The Holyspirit is the Comforter.
John 14:26.
God bless.
I am sorry for your brother-in-law's serious fall and broken femur. I pray that God will bring successful and complete healing to his leg and hip.
I am doing well. My foot and hand have healed really well. Still some pain, but I am able to do most of what I could do before my surgery.
Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.
Thank you
