Nelson Walters has a teaching with maps on his youtube channel. There's a whole lot of confusion on it.

I was less confused when I searched MAHDI. Don't linger there ok? Or "like" anything. Why am I banned, and YouTube allows them to blaspheme God and America?

We need to know the depth of the hatred and not be deceived. The tree is known by its fruit.

Some Palestinians are saved and looking for Jesus. That's why I said what I did about the fruit.

My point being...it is likely he was named after King Saul.
  • Names in the Bible - In Reply - 1 year ago
What is the Greek meaning of Saul?

from Hebrew Shl "ASKED FOR" (from God)

What is the Hebrew name for Paul?

"Saul, Saul" (by Jesus). Jesus asked for Paul to follow Him.

It was typical for the Jews of that time to have two names: one Hebrew, the other Latin or Greek. Jesus called him "Saul, Saul" in "the Hebrew tongue" in the Acts of the Apostles, when he had the vision which led to his conversion on the road to Damascus.

What is the full meaning of Paul?

It derives from the Roman family name Paulus or Paullus, from the Latin adjective meaning "small" or "humble". He was short in stature, but he was tall in scripture. He had the education of a Pharisee; also educated as a Roman citizen.

"To whom much is forgiven, much is required". We see this in Paul's Ministry. Jesus asked for him.

    Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

2-9. he cried against the altar-which is put for the whole system of worship organized in Israel.

Behold, a child shall be born Josiah by name-This is one of the most remarkable prophecies recorded in the Scriptures; and, in its clearness, circumstantial minuteness, and exact prediction of an event that took place three hundred sixty years later, it stands in striking contrast to the obscure and ambiguous oracles of the heathen. Being publicly uttered, it must have been well known to the people; and every Jew who lived at the accomplishment of the event must have been convinced of the truth of a religion connected with such a prophecy as this. A present sign was given of the remote event predicted, in a visible fissure being miraculously made on the altar. Incensed at the man's license of speech, Jeroboam stretched out his hand and ordered his attendants to seize the bold intruder. That moment the king's arm became stiff and motionless, and the altar split asunder, so that the fire and ashes fell on the floor. Overawed by the effects of his impiety, Jeroboam besought the prophet's prayer. His request was acceded to, and the hand was restored to its healthy state. Jeroboam was artful, and invited the prophet to the royal table, not to do him honor or show his gratitude for the restoration of his hand, but to win, by his courtesy and liberal hospitality, a person whom he could not crush by his power. But the prophet informed him of a divine injunction expressly prohibiting him from all social intercourse with any in the place, as well as from returning the same way. The prohibition not to eat or drink in Beth-el was because all the people had become apostates from the true religion, and the reason he was not allowed to return the same way was lest he should be recognized by any whom he had seen in going.

    Matthew 18:19-20

"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
  • Giannis - In Reply on Matthew 28 - 1 year ago
In my opinion dear Robin, nobody can get rid of bad habits/passions/sins unless God frees him. i.e. just think of a guy who is a drug addict who believes in Jesus sometime in his life. How is he going to get freed from his passion? On his own? Is that possible? Of course not. Nomatter how hard he tries he will never succeed. He needs God's strentgh/grace to do that. The same happens with all habits/passions/sins.

Apostle Paul in Romans 8:13 makes a very significant statement.

"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live"

What does he mean with "deeds of body"? The answer is in Galatians 5:19-21

"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, AND SUCH LIKE: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God"

The above works of flesh/deeds of body are what we call bad habits/passions/sins. Is smoking or any other addiction mentioned? They are all included in "THE SUCH LIKE"

So what do you need to get freed? The answer is the Holly Spirit. It is sometimes impossible for men to "mortify the deeds of the body". This what God's Spirit does.

So go to the Lord and ask Him to free you, ask for His strength, His grace, His Spirit to work in/on you. But when you go to God you have to make sure that you really want to get freed, you have to be honest with the Lord, and sincere about it. Will God answer back? He will definitely do that. I have seen so many examples in my life, people that get freed from smoking, drugs, alcohol, adultery, fornification, gambling...anything that has enslaved them. So go to God.

And a verse especially for you:

John 8:36 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian family. And I had to write much of Scripture from memory. Does anyone else remember it being, "Where two or MORE are gathered" rather than THREE? That isn't correct. It's two or MORE. I even prayed it aloud with a group of my friends holding hands when I was a small group leader in my church.
  • Honey - In Reply on Matthew 28 - 1 year ago
oh ok - you used the word "promiscuous". nothing to do with smoking. addiction is a spirit which needs to be rebuked, fasting and prayer helps.
  • Christian to the core - In Reply on Matthew 28 - 1 year ago
Honey, I am looking up where I gathered up these little tidbits so I could source them first. But in a nutshell, I was talking more about the lack of strength to stop an old habit like cigarette smoking, and asking was it like spitting in my Lord's face every time I light a cigarette when I know it's wrong. From what I understand promiscuous doesn't have to mean see.

Why would anybody name their child Saul?

    Acts 9:4

"And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?"
  • Giannis - In Reply on Luke 9 - 1 year ago
My opinion is the following dear Dora.

The verse has to do with what Jesus was talking about. Lets see what he was saying :

    Luke 9:23-27

23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

25nFor what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Jesus was talking about those who wanted to follow Him. He warned them that one has to deny everything, even his own life, and suffer persecutions to be able to follow Him.

The reward for those that believe in Him and follow him all the way through all harsh circumstances met in life is been accepted in the Kingdom of God. So He said there are people standing there that either

    1) will not die the (spiritual) death untill this Kingdom arrives on earth .He talks about tthe litteral Kindom of God arriving at the very end of this world

or 2) He may have implied that there were people standing there that will not die the physical death untill His Kingdom arrives (He means His ressurection when the saved ones were transferred from Ades to Heaven.

But since Jesus talks about coming with glory and angels the former explanation seems to the right one, though the latter may not be wrong either.

    Hi Dora.

    On Luke 9:27.

The previous verse gives the period of time in which this takes place. Luke 9:26. For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, WHEN HE SHALL COME IN HIS OWN GLORY, AND IN HIS FATHER'S, AND OF THE HOLY ANGELS.

    In the preceding verses

Luke 9:28-35. we see a GLIMPSE of Christ in his glory that is mentioned. Also Peter makes mention of this event in 2 Peter 1:16-18. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

I believe this takes place at his second coming. Look at Matthew's account.

Matthew 16:27. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; AND THEN HE SHALL REWARD EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS.

Revelation 22:12. And, behold, I come quickly; AND MY REWARD IS WITH ME, TO GIVE EVERY MAN ACCORDING AS HIS WORK SHALL BE.

    I hope this helps,

    God bless.

Brother, I love you postings here on King James Bible Online but you're wrong. We are put through tests and trials (tribulations) during this time. But speaking of the prophetical 7-year tribulation -- all the verses you're quoting of "those" going through that would be those who knew God, they may have known what Salvation is, they may have gone to church or even graduated from a Bible college...but...they never truly were saved. They are left behind.

    Revelation 3:10

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

Jesus speaks a few things in that verse alone of the things to come. What is the hour of temptation = the insidious events during the tribulation (mark of the beast and temptation thereof) and even the enticements of the antichrist. Since WHEN did Jesus Christ state his church (the elect) would ever go through that? Never. People confuse those left behind trying to accept Christ during the tribulation for those already saved and raptured before it begins.

Rethink that modern theology is not right about their denial of the rapture or Bible prophesy but I can list (if you'd like) the myriad of member of the early church where they quoted a pre-trib rapture, wrote about it and died with that blessed hope.

A hotly contested verse; but the alternate explanation needs to be given of the Transfiguration when 3 disciples saw Christ and 2 saints in a glorified state. This could have been literally a time travel into the future; it certainly revealed Christ in a different manner. Since these scriptures immediately come after this account that is the most likely explanation.

Another thing not mentioned is those O.T. saints that came out of their graves at the Resurrection. They would have seen Christ after Resurrected but not necessarily as He would return in His glory as the first example also seems to be lacking.

The events of AD 70 are argued by FULL Preterists as indicating the fulfillment of that prophecy in His generation. There are too many other clear scriptures that invalidate this; not the least of which are in John's account in Revelation. In AD 70 there were said to be many supernatural manifestations including that of visions of God and His glory. Still He didn't return physically back to earth at that time.

We could also examine us as believers that have gone from death to life spiritually. ( 1 John 3:14). Our spirit man will be present with the Lord after we die so we in a sense will still be alive (as Moses and Elijah were taking with Christ-Elijah of course was translated and never died physically). Of course we will not die once He comes back either; a lot depends on what "tasting death" means. Since the verse says "some of you" it clearly does not indicate the final fulfillment when every eye shall see Him.

If only the disciples heard it being said then the Transfiguration is a likely explanation; the cloud imagery could in some way relate to His second coming.

Ultimately this is a tough verse; but as with anything else we cannot let it stand alone. We cannot accept that Christ has physically returned to earth yet; or those who think He has returned in some mystical way. ( Matthew 24:26-etc). There is no mistaking that event.

Hiya Orlando...Who are the sons of God good question ..the absolute Son of God are spirits the H.G. As Jesus said that which is BORN of the Spirit is Spirit Which is the H.G.....Its only the H.G. which is the Child of Promise that are the real Children of God....As Romans 9 v 8 tells us....Not all Israel is Israel that is the Children of the Flesh natural ISRAEL ,These are not the Children of God...Its only the Children of Promise that counted for that good seed....Which are the Children of PROMISE the H.G. IS ONLY the CHILD OF PROMISE Which is the Israel of God ...We are just a joint heir with Christ our new innerman which is the H.G....The Child of PROMISE.

.....We humanity were all born by the WILL OF SOME MAN....Its only the H.G. that is BORN BY THE WILL OF GOD...via the seed of Christ the words of God... John 1 : 13.. His name sake is the H.G. Doug sir, the descriptive background wrote here regarding this journey explains to me that you cast aside your opinions, understandings from men, church teachings, and asked the Holy Ghost to lead you in all truth. Because of this you can see more clearly what is in the Word I would humbly ascertain.

The "rapture" is a contentious item, (pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, pre-wrath, no rapture and also inverse: removal of the wicked) I too sought answers on this. 1 Thes 4:17 The key word used in this argument is in English "caught up", in Latin "rapture", and in Greek "harpazo" G726. This same word in our KJV is used 13 times, some of interest in comparative study are Rev 12:5, Jude 1:23, Acts 8:39, John 6:15. We all have an opinion in this matter, but we are all in HIS body. Regardless of what we think, His Word will come to pass as He intends it too. Alleluia!

1 Thes 4:15 The key word here is "coming" G3952 parousia- par-oo-see'-ah

From the present participle of G3918; a being near, that is, advent (often, return; specifically of Christ to punish Jerusalem, or finally the wicked); (by implication) physical aspect: - coming, presence. (there is no 3rd coming, we are looking for the 2nd advent of Christ which is this, the harvest)

Who is the restrainer? Who is he who is letting until he be taken out the way? Jude 1:9, Dan 10:21, Dan 12:1

    God bless you,

    Josh

I think teachers and students should appreciate, not alienate. Try always to edify. If someone else is good with languages, I let them answer it later. Adios amigos .)

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: (be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.)

Revelation 3:21 To him that (overcometh) will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

I thank God for this website. I also watch former Churches on YouTube, or ministers that I met in person and really like how they open the word. I stay on top of news events. I do not watch television networks at all. I visit with my elderly neighbors a few times a week. Today a disabled man who works at a dollar store, said how he needed coffee because his aunt & uncle are heavy coffee drinkers.

I'm going back tomorrow to give him my box of coffee. It hurts me to see others struggle alone. I really enjoy hours spent right here talking about the Bible. I don't come in here to make people feel worse if they're feeling dragged down or spread thin. Let us edify each other., ok. Thanks.

Hiya Dora GBU....Yes I can explain that easily....When the Kingdom comes folks are gona be doing the works Jesus did and GREATER and the world is gonna see this and be DRAWN to Christs Kingdom wanting to forsake all and follow him...I WILL DRAW ALL MEN unto Me..meaning they are gona taste of DEATH impling selling everything and forsaking even their families....Remember Peter said we have forsaken all to follow you...Even the early Church sold everything and followed Jesus...And divided all their goods to everybody and anybody which is Death to their carnal minds that loves materialistic things and This life and wife and Children...The H.G. is gonna Regenerate himself in humanity...causing folks to DIE to the things of this world...Scripture says the slain of the Lord will be many....Outta of his mouth goes a Sharp Sword and he will smite the nations.

.....Jesus said he that loveth wife or Children more then me is not worthy of me....or MY kingdom...We will ALL taste of death and enjoy it...The manchild is the H.G. The Kingdom that is gonna be born in everybody and rule all this world... Joel 2 :28 I will pour out of my Spirit on ALL flesh...Your sons and daughterS are gonna prophesy....Even our Children are gona be DRAWN UNTO HIM...The whole family is gona be saved....If i be lifted up I will draw all men unto me...Thus all men will gladly taste of death for his KINGDOM.

.....Jesus said if a man forsake not all that he has he cannot be my disciple which is death to our carnal minds that loves materialistic things this life and family...homes etc...Money in the bank etc...Remember what Paul said I have suffered the LOSS OF ALL THINGS AND COUNT THEM BUT DUNG THAT I MIGHT WIN CHRIST ETC...Paul had died to the Flesh

.....Don't worry whats impossible with mans is possible with God.

Good day, Here are some thoughts on this: Genesis 6 recounts how some of (1/3) the angels left their estate and made a league among them to do what thou will. These angelic beings condescended themselves to human form and copulated with human women infusing their altered DNA into humans 2 strand DNA thus creating hybrids. Giants were in the earth but also all manor of other perversions such as man-beast hybrids of old greek and hindu mythology. It repented God that he made man and went about to flood it all.

Now fast forward to today, as it was in the days of Noe so shall it be upon our Lord Jesus' return. Not only were they drinking and marrying, and the earth was full of violence, but their DNA was manipulated. It seems this CV19 vaccine program is indeed altering recipients DNA....

    Come Lord Jesus!

Good day, Jesus after this event gave a glimpse of the future and the kingdom to John before he died which is the book of Revelation. There exists also the apocalypse of Peter which is not part of the 66 books, nor the Apocrypha.

Also to note the following verses have Jesus taking Peter, 1/2 brother James, and John on a sojourn to pray where they SAW Moses and Elijah and Heard a voice from heaven as our Lord was transfigured.

That is what I also believe! Tribulation and wrath is not the same thing. Christians has always gone through tribulation. The wrath of God is only poured out half an hour after the "Rapture" (Christ's return and our gathering with him in the clouds).

    Revelation

    Chapter 7

13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

There be some standing here , those words are key , Jesus was talking about some one who was stood nearby listening to him . When you read the book of Acts and the account is Stephens death , you will see that this incident exactly fits with what Jesus says . This is why it's important to read the whole Bible , Old and New , any questions you have , the answers will be in there some where , you have to be patient and persistent in your reading and read the words carefully . Often the simplest answer is the correct one , enjoy it as it all unfolds for you , much love in Christ .

In peace "Pansy Blackwell" the antichrist is the spirit that passes over us when we are disobedient, when we stand against God, when we do not believe in Jesus Christ, all idols, and religions that do not carry with them Jesus Christ are of the antichristian spirit. I would think that the image of the antichrist is abominable. But if it turns out to be a cute and soft little leopard, well who knows when it sneaks around to take your life. The visions the prophets had can be many images. It's easy and get confused. For satan/devil walks around like a roaring lion and will devour everyone if he got. 1 Peter 5:8

Take in our dear friend and see through the anti-Christian world. It entices and begs a hit and there. But the truth is: Follow Jesus, become a Jesus saved child. And you and your whole house will have peace and joy. In this life and in the next.

Dear Donna in peace. We know we are not going to kill. And people who are already dead in their bodies can kill. Here we must look at what is dead and what is alive. No one outside the Spiritual Life with God will go and kill. And the spiritual birth that we receive in the Holy Spirit, we can not kill. But if we try and turn the Spirit off. It will be a Spiritual death. Which I personally think would be the biggest mistake a human being can make. (So take care all pastors as well who are good at closing meetings when the Holy Spirit appears in meetings). Our dear Paul writes about and not extinguish the Spirit in

    1 Thesssalonians 5 19

Always remember that it is a Spiritual life and a carnal life. These two oppose each other for better or worse. Galatians 5:16-18 It is a safe place to be in the Spirit so we not kill both flesh and Spirit!

God bless u and yours, love u in Christ.
