    Hi Charles. Ecclesiasticus is considered an Old Testament Apocryphal book, one of many. This KJBO site lists them under the Tab, 'More', at the top of the page. Some present day Bibles contain the Apocrypha, chiefly the RC Edition & those used by the Orthodox Churches.

    When the Canon of Scripture was formed, this book alongwith others, were considered suspect for various reasons (e.g. authorship, incorrect teaching when compared with accepted Scriptures, etc.). Not to say that there's no truth within them, but the fact of some errors within them, should give warning to either approach them carefully or not refer to them at all.

    My King James Version of the Bible does not contain the book of Ecclesiacticus. Could you explain this?

    I saw a twitter post using Ecclesiacticus 2:1. While I agree with the statement the verse makes, still it is not in the King James Version, mine or any other KJV I've ever read.

    The point of this scripture seems to be the " impossibility " that Jesus shows all things are possible. John 6:5-13,

    Note: John 6:7 note the last part of that scripture says clearly "._._. is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. "

    Regardless of amount of money, even clear understanding of money amounts for time, inflation, price gouging, sales, shortage etc. Historical understanding doesn't say what GOD's scripture does about the message He is saying to us.

    1st John 6:6 "And this he said to prove him, for he himself knew what he would do."

    It was Philip Jesus was talking to: John 6:5, & Phillip who answered: John 6:7, his answer was about financial calculation, earnings, lack, almost as if money was the only answer he had. Remember it was to prove him. When we see " impossibilities" where's our faith & solutions?

    Matthew 14:13-21, Matthew 15:29-39, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:12-17,

    Note Matthew 15:32-33,

    In each account Jesus had healed all the sick.

    Jacob aka Israel had 2 wives and he made babies with both women. Each woman had a handmaid and Jacob made babies with them as well. Jacob had sexual relations with 4 women and made at least 13 babies. Two of them were not his wives.

    Abraham made a baby with his wife Sarah's handmaid.

    The prophet Samuel's mother Hannah was one of two wives.

    The God of ancient Israel approved of such things; even if you don't.

    The law of Moses says a man must make babies with his brother's widow if they didn't make a baby before he passed.

    David obeyed his father 1Samuel 16:11, 1Samuel 17:15,17,18,

    David protected the sheep, & defended Israel, risking his life 1Samuel 17:34-37, 1Samuel 17:45-52,

    David served even though he was anointted king , 1Samuel 16:1,13,21,23, John 13:3-15,

    Jesus being the perfect example.



    This Psalm says 2Samuel 22:1, is when GOD delivered David from death by king Saul's doing. If we go into scripture of that time. King saul had promised David his daughter in marriage at, 1Samuel 17:25, please read 1Samuel 17, through- 2Samuel 1, to get understanding of what David went through from Saul, he had one wife at the time he was finally given one by Saul that Saul later gave to another man. Abigal was the widow of Nabal.

    Looking at the lineage Abraham & Israel possibly set the example of multiple wives, which was trouble to them, in Genesis, yes Isaac appears to have one wife. It didn't go well with David's household. These are examples also to cultures that believe in multiple wives.

    Adultery is sin against someone else's spouse. If one or both are married to someone else. Etc.

    I believe the scripture is pointing out David's innocent claims about being upright in his own mind because he didn't take revenge, jump the timing of his kingship, nor kill Saul when he had the chance. Please read, 1Samuel 24,

    Deal Rachel, I urge you to read what God said to Noah after the flood. He told Noah that animal flesh would be his food along with plants. This was God's decree, not man's.

    Also, God created both herbivores and carnivores. We should accept that in His wisdom He made them this way from the beginning.

    Good afternoon Daniel,

    "Holy, Holy, Holy" is one of my favorites as is "Great is thy Faithfulness" "Before the Throne of God I come" and many others. I also worship God with "contemporary" songs that exalt God more than our selves. The "old" hymns are good for us and I pray that many younger believers will discover them as good for worship.

    But David, in Psalm 33:3 says to: "Sing to Him a new song, Play skillfully with a shout of joy." There is a place for both "old" standbys and contemporary songs in worship. Look at all of the "new" songs David wrote over his lifetime!

    I do agree that worship leaders, pastors, and congregants need to resist the performance focused, entertainment quality in their worship. It has taken over most churches that switched to primarily contemporary music in worship. It was not like that in the early days of contemporary music in churches, but the carnal aspect of church services took over fiercely. I pray we can bring it back to a more proper way of worshipping together.

    Hello Ronette, I will pray with you for Catholics. I know that the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, (which is what Paul preached), is read repeatedly throughout the years of a Catholic who attends Mass regularly. I will pray that the Word of God read to them will take root in their hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit. I will pray that the Spirit will open their minds to understanding the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and believe it and in Him more deeply.

    I agree that there is much error taught in the Roman Catholic Church, however, it is not alone in teaching error. There is error and false doctrines taught across the board in Christian denominations. Each believer should examine what is taught in their own denominations and discover if it is taught in the Scripture in the Spirit of the Words of God.

    I agree. Church today is quite different than what it was in the early church. Today, it seems as though it's about how many people we can pack into the church. There are ministries that base their success on the number of people they have in attendance. I mean, the more people the better, right? I can't help but think about the times in the gospels when large crowds began to gather around Jesus, how He would remove Himself from those crowds. And also the times when crowds started gathering and Jesus turned to the crowd and began to teach a message, and those crowds left. They weren't there to worship Him or to be taught from Him. They wanted to see more miracles. They wanted to be entertained. We see that in our churches today. How many of those in attendance are there to hear the word verses being entertained. Some churches draw people in by offering things that appeal to the flesh, free potluck, free BBQ, and other forms of entertainment just to get people to come. But as you say, worship is what it's all about. We shouldn't go to church to be entertained. We go to be spiritually fed. But how many would stick around for two hours just listening to the word and singing a few hymns if there was no entertainment? For some, that's boring. I think it would be fair to say that as we sit in church, our flesh does not want to be there. But we have to reject what our flesh wants, discipline ourselves, and submit ourselves to Christ and the hearing of His word.

    As to my favorite gospel song or Hymn, I would say that I have many. A couple that come to mind are "Blessed Assurance," and one by Alison Krauss and the Cox Family called "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow."

    You can believe what you will and justify it. I believe God wants MERCY and not sacrifice. When humans

    consume the flesh and blood (and dairy, eggs) of innocent animals, they are, blood "sacrificed"...farm animals

    have their babies taken away after birth (pigs get a few weeks to nurse them). Momma cows are bellowing, frantic

    to be with their babies taken away in wheelbarrows. They literally bellow for a week afterwards, desperate to

    reunite with their offspring they will never see again. The mother/child bond is destroyed for 70 billion cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys etcetera every year.

    The Bible was changed to reflect a violent meat-eating agenda by Emperor Constantine, his scribes, and others, around the 5th century. He considered peaceful vegetarians to be heretics, and had them murdered. He supported eating the dead. There are over 600 bible passages that were left out of the bible because they are "spiritual", such as the Gospel of Mary.

    "But blood with the life thereof, ye shall not eat". You cannot separate the blood from the flesh, they are one.

    When you eat flesh, animal muscle, you are eating blood. Eating flesh and blood was taught to humans by the offspring of the fallen angels, the Nephilim. They taught peaceful humans to forge iron, make weapons, commit violence, kill, cook, and eat the flesh and blood of animals. God never ever wanted us to do these things. He wanted us to have "dominion" over animals and the earth, to be CARETAKERS and STEWARDS, not abusers, polluters, and murderers.

    Taking the life of another who does not want to die, is the most egregious thing humans can do. Would Jeshua approve of the slaughter of 70 billion sentient farm animals and 5 trillion fishes every year to feed humans?. That is a horror show.

    Comparative anatomy= Herbivore animals have molars to chew plants, we are herbivore. Carnivores/Omnivores have fangs to rip and kill and eat raw animal flesh/skin/hair, they do not chew.

    - Worshipping and praising our great and mighty God -

    Psalm 66:4

    "All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah."

    It is so important that worship and praise (especially with a ministry) exalts God and only God. What do I mean? The modern worship I've seen in my life often hosts pop bands in the church and the worship and focus always magnifies the musician...or the music director...or the name on the ministry. It's almost never about Christ Jesus, Holy Ghost, God the Father (the Godhead). We hear that in beautiful well known old hymns like "Holy, Holy, Holy." I'm younger in age than most but was raised on the great hymns and gospel music from 75 + years ago.

    Psalm 150

    "Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD."

    We have to really appreciate the importance of worship in praise. What great way to honor God than to sing everything from your soul to Him. I've never felt called to any other part of ministry but to worship. I'll leave the preaching to someone better qualified with that calling.

FIRE...As Jesus said EVERY SINNER has to have his part in the lake of fire...As our God is a Consuming fire....Every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire...No exceptions as Mal. 3 : 2 Says ...Who shall stand when he appears who shall abide the day of his coming for he shall be as a refiners fire and fullers soap to purify the sons of levi. etc...Solomon was a great man of God..God wd not let David the son build the temple only Solomon the Granson.

    .....I think of Solomon as a type of the H.G. That is gonna build the temple in our hearts...As our bodies are the temple of the H.G....I think thats y Jesus said a greater then Solomon is here...which is the H.G...That is gonna build a greater temple then Solomon within us...

    Normally; after 12 comments some with great insight and spiritual depth I wouldn't attempt a response or deem it necessary.

    There is; what I would call a "Corinthians" problem here. It is an inconvenient truth that according to passages there; some have "fallen asleep" not taking communion worthily; and others had been involved in gluttony; sexual immorality (even described as worse than pagans) and all sorts of other problems. There are other verses that describe some at the Bema Seat who have wood; hay and stubble burned up and are saved as through the fire; suffering loss (i.e. spiritual rewards). An important concept here is that God "chastises everyone he loves." ( Heb. 12:6). Such a fate could also be implied with God wiping out Ananias and Sapphira after they lied about their gift to God. If one's sin can cause premature death as the ultimate in chastisement (delivering the body to Satan so that the soul can be saved) ( 1 Cor. 5:5) then we need to be careful interpreting this parable.

    We can; for instance look at "foolish virgins" being the left behind at the Rapture; but then if we interpret the end of the parable as "I never knew you" then we have a problem. It could possibly be interpreted as "I know you not." That brings up whether our garments are spotted and if the Rapture is a reward or salvation issue. It also can be looked as an analogy based on the Wedding guests in Biblical times; or possibly analagous to the 2nd Coming.

    This; of course by no means takes away from the explanation that many aren't paying attention to the light flickering out. To buy the oil is strange; it could very well refer to the high cost of martyrdom in order to bear fruit in the height of the Tribulation the only way possible at that time. The outer darkness or as other scripture states the "portion with the hypocrites" ( Matthew 24:51) certainly could indicate being in the Tribulation and cut off from the rest of the Body of Christ. One can't lose salvation
