Whenever I am truly very thankful to God about something and I say an honest and big heartfelt 'thank you ' to Him , that's when I feel closest to Him . Also , when I'm really very sad about something , I'm always very aware that He knows what's going on in my heart . Thanks to God for His wonderful loving kindness .
[1] This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
[4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
[5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
[6] For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
[7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
[8] Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
[9] But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
[10] But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
[11] Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
[12] Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
[13] But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
[14] But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
To quote a woman who taught in my Church (Iverna Tompkins),
**We come to God the easiest way possible.**
For myself, I think I hit every cactus out there in that desert I used to live in. But it's ok. I found the One whom my soul loved; who loved me back to wellness.
The scripture is very specific. While He is speaking about Israel, He says, uncategorically, says "MY PEOPLE." As saved Christians, we are God's people. We belong to no one but Him. But, like Israel, we have strayed and we need to return to Him. Only then will our land be healed. Let us hope that Christians have not strayed so far that we will be subjected to another captivity just as has been recorded in the book of Daniel. Christians, generally, are weak today. They lack the will to confront evil because they are afraid. Afraid of what? That is the question that must be answered. We Christian must speak up for if we don't, this country is lost.
Before I was saved I had a Catholic Bible. Ecclesiasticus was there but you won't find it in a Christian Bible. That's why it's not in the KJV. It's apocryphal. The 1611 King James Bible did have it written separately with a header that read "Apocryphal books." Later on these were further examined (as we know there were a few revisions afterward to the King James Bible). It was eventually determined that there was no reason to keep them in as they're not inspired.
If you go back even further and study the dates in which scripture was written...every apocryphal books seems to be written long after where it should have been. That alone should have been reason for early Bibles to not include it and they were found separately to begin with.
Amen and Amen! I played "I know who hold tomorrow" only a short few weeks ago. Gospel favorites of mine are: In the Shelter of His Arms, There is a Balm In Gilead, Unworthy of the Blood (this is a song from the 60's...but still holds), Rise and be Healed, The Blood will never lose it's power, etc. I play worship on many instruments but ultimately it comes down to an old fashioned acoustic piano. No lights, no P.A.s, no synthesizers, no fog machines...just everyone there worshipping God. The thing I love is I can finish the worship and no one has to pat me on the should and say "Great job Dan, that was some great piano playing." Nope, everyone is focused on God and that's who we need to be saying 'great job' too but even that to God are small words.
The modern church is about getting numbers (more money), dark stages with neon lights, P.A.s set to not only play contemporary pop/rock/country but they also play secular music now, worship leaders who come to the stage imitating secular musicians and the worship is focused always on the person. The people get energy to put their hands in the air or some will jump like it was a Deep Purple concert but that's really an energy that music has. Music of the world has the spirit and energy of Satan and that controls people. I did a music study on this about 4-years ago where I'd play a contemporary song and then play a clip of a secular song with similar lyrics/music and ask someone to tell me the difference. This is the falling away that was written in the Holy Bible.
Those are some very wonderful and anointed hymns you shared. Great is Thy Faithfulness I learned while worshipping on piano one day and had to stop playing just to focus on what the words said. I learned the Spanish version when moving to Mexico and found that it's fairly close to the original. Sadly, Mexico imitates everything done in the United States and churches no longer play hymns (except certain Baptist sects and the olde Methodists).
Those old gospel songs and hymn had the Bible in them. Today people write songs that just don't go very deep like, "God is love, God is good...good is God. Yeah!" In the past we had words like this to worship to:
Alas, and did my Savior bleed
And did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head
For such a worm as I?
Was it for sins that I had done
He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity, grace unknown
And love beyond degree
My God, why would You shed Your blood
So pure and undefiled
To make a sinful one like me
Your chosen, precious child?
Well might the sun in darkness hide
And shut His glories in
When Christ, the mighty Maker, died
For man, the creature's, sin
Thus might I hide my blushing face
While His dear cross appears
Dissolve my heart in thankfulness
And melt my eyes to tears
My God, why would You shed Your blood
So pure and undefiled
To make a sinful one like me
Your chosen, precious child?
That hymn later became another great one which was "At the Cross."
JEREMIAH 50. There has been much contention as to the national depiction of the final Babylon; and whether it is in the Middle East; it signifies the USA or perhaps the EU. There is a spiritual side and economic leadership aspect to it as well. Certainly; we here in the good ol USA have sins piled high to heaven as Revelation states. In some sense; it doesn't matter as man will be as Isaiah 13:12 states "rarer than the gold of Ophir". Dead men; i.e. corpses will be covering the earth ( Jeremiah 25:33).
There is no doubt that we are heading to one world government and religion; and I doubt that I need to include proof here.
Even in utter destruction where no man will inhabit the land; God in His providence provides a place for unclean animals ( Isaiah 34:11). Such is the case also with the "feast" of Armageddon. The birds of the air are summoned; and no doubt hungry after the Tribulation. ( Rev. 19:18; 21). So in essense we either attend a great supper or we ARE the meal; for a large portion of men in those days.
There are many good books on the subject. Alexander Hislop wrote "Two Babylons" which gives some context for these concepts. There are more recent writings where a strong argument based on many verses in Jeremiah seem to point to the USA being referenced in a veiled manner. The main points would be a nation founded on the truth yet with an occult bend from it's origin; a melting pot of many nations divided by many rivers and surrounded by many oceans; the port Babylon in NYC (where the Statue of Liberty kind of represents the lady in Revelation and the great city destroyed the world mourns after; etc.)
There are also compelling arguments of the Arabia area today where the 3 Monotheistic religions are planning joint worship and a city 30 times larger than NYC with drones prevailing are upcoming the next few years. Whatever the case; our hearts are not to be in the world where things are perishing but in the unseen treasures of God.
Julie Gods needs a wife a bride etc...Zion is the bride ....I john saw the holy city coming down out of heaven as a Bride adorned for her husband....There has to be an Israel of God JUST AS THERE WAS A Natural Israel ..via the seed of Christ sown in our hearts...Jesus told his disciples he needed the Donkey and her colt...Which is symbolic of the Church and her offspring the H.G...An Israel of God...The Woman and her CHILD...Remember John told the Pharisees,.... he that has the Bride is the Bridegroom....Which is Christ and the Church
....As God so loved the world that he gave us his dear son etc...Thus the blood of the lamb is to make us ALL CLEAN FOR THE MARRIAGE...the 3 rd day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee.
Our church had a Sunday school on this topic a few years back when I was in Pittsburgh. In that study; there was some discussion on the part of Enoch (the book) that is quoted here. This is a good example of how PART of an original text that is inspired is quoted; but the entire book as it exists today has inconsistencies and not in the accepted Canon today. The section about contending over the body of Moses in fact may be part of a different book; in any event the rest of the source text is cut off for some reason. It seems clear that God did bury Moses; although some say since no one knows where; and that he was one of two speaking to Christ during the Transfiguration meant that he didn't die. Elijah was said to have gone up in a whirlwind and it seems clear he and one other person (some say Moses; I would tend to say Enoch based on Heb. 9:27) will be the last day prophets. The reason for Satan's contention isn't made clear here; others can give a hypothesis. Anyway; the main point in that passage is that unlike today's world that likes to make a Hollywood image of Satan with a pitchfork; or today's musicians that like to offer sympathy to the Devil or claim we can sell our souls to him; our attitude as believers should be of deference to Christ; as illustrated by the Archangel Michael and his attitude when rebuking Satan. If we aren't Spirit filled; we run the risk like the Jews who were mauled by demons and ran off naked invoking Christ's name. Those who are in the Spirit will realize the battle in the heavenlies is to be fought on our knees in prayer.
The clear warning in the book; is that we all are to be "contending for the faith." It appears with the common salvation that the entire congregation (unnamed as well) is addressed to look out for false teachers creeping in. It is unlike; say Timothy's epistles and most other ones written earlier specifically to elders. The sin of Sodom certainly is relevant today as a main theme as well.
My question is and I apologize I should know but I'm kind of slow in the Bible it talks about in the last days people are just going to start well the only thing I can remember is just ain't going to do what Jesus says and I would like to know where that's at somebody give me the right direction just seems like everybody's only thinking about themselves and nobody else okay thank you very much
Can you imagine! Remember they didn't have tv yet so they had a lot of spare time!
Royalty was meant to be preserved, concubines were a means to an end.
The end being the kings replacement with an heir. Not sure, but would say that there was not much done with the ladies, without anyone knowing about it!
If you remember that David was found out. He had a concubine still going outside and finding Bathsheba, This however, God would sanctify, for He knew David's heart. How mysterious are His ways past finding out?
Is this not our condition. Even Solomon with all His blessings and glory, would find His way into trouble. Going outside!
It is evident that the accuser will find a "logical" way. Even adding the word cus .
The preacher would find this amusing if it were not real! Like the sands that are removed through time, such are these times of uncertainty! How hard is it to kick against the pricks of unbelief! Is not the word of God enough for us to learn? The archeology of a scroll with nothing but hot air my friend!
The saint James Catholic bible does or did say the God's created the heavens, because with each new addition they change it. I have two of them that say that! I have looked as you did, and couldn't find that version on line either!
Yet, I hold in my hands that very book!
Religious suppression of information is what happened. That is why you cannot find a copy of it unless you have a copy of it. So now do you see why I have so many questions. I have so many more.
I do believe in Jesus and the Trinity of the God head! Just having a lot of trouble following the bible so blindly as the rest of you! I want to believe every word as you all do! Alas, I cannot yet!
In the Bible they say things in there that I simply don't agree with. They act as though God was a being with emotional ranges. Love is love, nothing more! In it's pure form as God is, there is no room for other emotions. Because for God love and motion is what God is! He is the light of the greatest love. Unconditional love! Look at the prodigal son. We are taught that possessions and materialism are not Godly things, they are of our design, not his. How can one own the land? How can one own the sky? Yet we do, so say are evil governments. Too much hypocrisy is in the Bible. It was wrote by man to control man! There is however much good in the Bible. Mostly the words in red for me. And mostly from Matthew. Matthew was the only apostle that could read and write. Therefore I believe those words. The words in the Old testament, will put down in a way that wasn't meant for us to live. Jesus tells us that. I guess for me I'll still be searching! The answers aren't always just in the Bible. It's in nature and all that surrounds us. It's the Earth itself that God created. Not the bridges that man built.
Every single time I get on this site it makes me feel wonderful and brightens my day when I am a little down and out that day! Thank you Lord God for being in my Life!!
I will never forget the two times I have felt the Lord God standing in my bedroom at night and it was the greatest feeling I have ever had in my 71 years!! I beg him to do it again. Have any of you ever had this feeling? Thank you Lord God for everything you do for Me and my Family. Amen.
All this was foretold in Ps.22: close to 1k years before the fact by the prophet David word for word action for action, even the Roman soldiers gambling for HIS robe: a good reason everyone can rely on the validity of scripture. Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? Mat 27:46 CHRIST preached from the cross until HIS dieing breath Ps 22: . Always the teacher, always with love; CHRIST never addressed GOD by GOD, always FATHER when HE spoke directly to HIM. CHRIST knew what HE had to endure; the mocking, slapping, 2in thorns in HIS head, 40 lashes -1, HIS arms stretched out of HIS sockets, nails driven in feet and hands, tongue clinging to his jaws and finally suffocating; But HE innocent of not 1 sin did it for us! When you think you had a bad day and ask why you, I always say why not me, I deserve it, HE didn't!!

One must believe too see!.
Zachariah , even so a man of God, questioned the Angel before him.
What did this man of God think as the incense covered the alter , as He prayed wondering if what He saw was real?!
Gabriel would convince Zachariah by shutting His mouth until Johns birth.
Zachariah would not be able to speak.
The spiritual kingdom is the kingdom Christ consecrated, when He died and was resurrected.
It is a place where the angels of God reside and do the will of God.
Zachariah is the example of what can happen to those who are spoken too by the spiritual!
If we shut our mouths long enough , you too will see the mysteries of God!
Repent and be Baptized
Neither is there a "j" sound in greek? So how does Yeshua get translated Jesus ?
......Remember the marriage supper of the lamb...He does not want us going a whoring after materialistic things
or even the honor that comes from man...We must love him with all our hearts, minds, souls n strength, ...Nothin less
then our complete cooporation is exceptable of HIM....The Spirit and the flesh are gonna be made 1 which is the essence of a mariage....GBU Julie
