The original sabbaths which were the ceremonial law were nailed to the cross. The moral law was written on table of stone, with the finger of God. EXODUS 20:8-11. The Ceremonial law written by Moses, Deut. 31:24-26. Hosea 2:11 is referring to the ceremonial laws. The ten commandments is still binding today. Where there is no law there is no sin.
  • Michael lacey
this is the truth the sabbath went out with the ceremonial laws when jesus was crucified
  • Adam
Good question. I have the same question and think there is confusion among Christians regarding the Sabbath. First, some believe Sabbath is the same day as the 7th day of rest that God rested on. Some think that's Sunday and some Saturday. In Spanish, Saturday is literally called sabado which is the sabbath. I think it's not observed by most Christians, because Jesus fulfilled the old law.
  • Ann
Vernon Cartwright, and Adam, when Jesus Christ died on the Christ, he became our Sabbath every day of the week. He is our Sabbath.

Everyday cannot be the Sabbath, because God created the earth in six days and rested on the seventh-day. Gen.2:1-3, Mark 2:27-28, Luke 4:16.Matt. 12:8

  • Biblefan on Psalms 127
but there is forgiveness that thou may be feared - very interesting - at first thought one would think that an implacable being would be MORE feared - but the absolute tyrants are more hated than feared perhaps - very interesting passage. Without forgiveness life is unbearable - and if unbearable, not worth living - a state of being that knows no fear
  • Teri on Psalms 11

  • I, EVEN I, AM THAT MICHAEL ISAAC DALE: on 1 Timothy 6
Hear O man the Spirit of truth. The Holy Father says not the wicked must despise money but he who will hold to GOD, will despise money. It is written, Ye cannot serve GOD and mammon. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom gave life to them that have it. Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding.
  • Larry Peacock on Daniel 7

Hello, I am looking for some verses regarding anyone can be saved no matter what sin they might have committed or what religion they are . If anyone could help that would be great Thanks !
  • Melki
Well, every sin we commit shall be accounted for on the day of Judgement. Even David who was privileged by Yahuwah was punished. Also, we have to keep the laws, statutes, and commandments in other to enter into the coming kingdom of Yahuwah as said in Revelations 22:14
  • Vernon cartwright
You are asking a great question. We are predestine to be saved. All prevision have been made for your salvation. We must confess our sins, 1 John 1:9. Mark 3: 28,29, all sins can be forgiven accept sin against the Holy Ghost. Luke 12:10, these texts make it clear about sinning against the Holy Ghost. Matt. 12:31,32, makes it clear. It is up to us to obey God's commandments or not. God bless you.

  • Teri on 1 Peter 5
i like that Peter tells how to: if we cast out cares, we admit that we are weak and need god's help, we find it. We are kept safe under his wings of protection. we are reminded who our enemy is and we can resist him. i exhort us believers to continue in the grace of God and to help each other.
  • Teri on 1 Peter 4
since Jesus suffered for our sins, we should try no tot sin either, but live our best for God. sometimes we have to disappoint others when we can't do the things they want us to...but we must instead follow Jesus and try to do His will.
  • Tony Ursery on 1 Peter 4
Man can't live by bread alone, but by every Word proceeds out of God mouth.

Lust is clearly a sin the scriptures talk about along with 'impurity'. However, what if someone sexually pleasures themselves without looking at dirty pictures or thinking impure thoughts- is that a sin? Since some Christians believe it is and do you know what scripture they use as a basis for it? If a doctor recommends it for a health reason should Christians ignore their doctors orders?
  • Melki
Please heed to these words. Any form of sexual pleasure which does not involve a man and a woman who are married in the sight of Yahuwah is a sin.
  • Bob
Thanks Melki, I'm grateful for your opinion, but where exactly in the scriptures does it say that?
  • Bob on Matthew 5
What do you think Matthew 5:32 means when it says anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery? Isn't adultery the same sin as having an affair with someone married? So what if a lonely man in his 40s has never been married and falls in love with the only single woman in his church was divorced 20 years ago- if he marries her is that sinful and considered as evil as an affair?
  • Al on Matthew 5
Divorce is not the unforgivable sin. If someone admits any fault that they have had in the divorce asks God for forgiveness, with a pure heart, they will be forgiven. If the sin of divorce is forgiven they can marry again.
  • Melki on Matthew 5
To answer your question, I will first have to inform you that the laws of Yahuwah are still binding. According to the law, the man a woman loses her virginity is her husband until he dies. So if a woman divorces her husband and lies with another man she and the man she lies with committed adultery because the man who took her virginity is still alive.
  • Ann on Matthew 5
Bob 0n Matthew 5, read Romans 7:2-3 A woman is free from that law, if her husband has passed away. But if he is still living, it would be a sin.
