Hebrews Ch 2 V 7 Thou (God) madest him (Jesus) a little lower than the angels ; thou (God) crownedst him (Jesus) with glory and honour , and didst set him (Jesus) over the works of thy (God) hands : V 8 Thou (God) hast put all things in subjection under his (Jesus) feet . For in that he (God) put all in subjection under him (Jesus) , he (God) left nothing that is not put under him (Jesus) . But now we see not yet all things put under him (Jesus) . But we see Jesus , WHO WAS MADE a little lower than the angels (see v 6+7) for the suffering of death , crowned with glory and honour ; that he (Jesus) by the grace of God should taste death for every man . V 10 For it became him (God) , for whom are all things , and by whom are all things , in bringing many sons to glory , to make the captain of their salvation (Jesus) perfect through sufferings . V 14 Forasmuch then as the children (us) are partakers of flesh and blood , he himself (Jesus) likewise took part of the same , and finally V 18 . Hebrews Ch 2 V 5-18 . Speaks for itself I think .

I believe God sees the heart and soul of people, not the color of their skin. I've heard that interacial marriages can be difficult because of the bigotry of people but I don't think that is so much of a problem today, although I'm not involved in one so I could be wrong about that but, of course, God isn't a bigot so I don't believe it is unscriptual.

    Amen Fred.

There's a different relationship "in Christ," that the law couldn't bring,

    Romans 9:31-32

But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Wherefore? BECAUSE THEY SOUGHT IT NOT BY FAITH, BUT AS IT WERE BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;....

    Romans 10:5-9.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

    But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    Conclusion!!

    Romans 11:7-36.

What a great ending!! God bless.

The 23rd Psalm is written using an anology of a shepherd and his sheep. In reality a shepherd has a rod to use against any peditors that try to get his sheep and he uses his staff to herd the sheep. The staff is hooked so he can catch a sheep that may be straying from the flock. Spritually, this shows that our Good Shepherd is prepared to repell any evil thing that comes against us and His staff is, I believe, His guidance through the Holy Spirit to keep us in His fold to protect us. We must be willing, however, to be an obedient sheep and not rebell against His "staff" and guidance.

First off let me say that I am a vessel, created in the image of God (man) 200%! I am in a transition in my life, in that I am sacrificing everything I have to be sold so I can follow Jesus as he asked of us in his ministry on earth. I know that God is "NO" author of confusion; but that of Love, Peace and Understanding and all that is GOOD! Ok this is my question: If we know the wages of sin is death, how can we trust 1 John 5-17: All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death? I can find no reference to justify this verse. Can someone please share with me the facts of this verse. The Holy Spirit in me will not let me believe this. Every scenario and thought leads me back to Sin = Death! Then comes another question: Man has been translating and editing the Bible for centuries.... So, if I use this reasoning and understanding when did Man add this verse? Because my God which is the creator of all things in Heaven and on earth That sent Jesus to die for our "SINS" that when we believe this we are saved unto eternal life.

    Please enlighten me!

    Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

Is it possible for us to reach the place that God has made for you and me?

A place in the Heavens , attainable only unto those who know the things of God!

Of course He has made all things possible to those who believe! Or is your faith as Paul say, "They have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge!"

What kind of faith is this?

What is the mystery that Paul speaks of?

Does this faith come the same for all of us? Is it a neat little package that we all share in?

Or, It is in fact, the Holy Spirit, a Spirit from above given to you and me!

It has no bounds,it has no parameters,it is free with power given from above!

A growing Spirit of Life itself! The power is the knowledge!!!!

The spirit that is alive and lives in you., Is the same Spirit that has made us free from sin!

There is therefore no condemnation to those who in Christ Jesus! Your sin have been forgiven! Rejoice, in the power that has been given you and me . That we are free, through Him who died to make us free!

    Repent and be Baptized

For me , there is no doubt that Jesus could have sinned . Hebrews Ch 2 is very clear I think . From verse 5 onwards Paul addresses Jesus's humanity v 9 and especially v 10 ' to make the captain of their salvation ( this is Jesus ) perfect through sufferings . Christ was MADE perfect through the things that he suffered in this life . V 18 'For in that he himself suffered being TEMPTED , he is able to succour them that are tempted . These verses seem very clear and definate to me . I'm not sure how these verses can be justifiably distorted to say anything other than what they so obviously do .

Chris Its Exodus 3 : 15....God is telling Moses that Abraham Issac and Jacob is my name for ever and my memorial to all Generations....The reason God is telling Moses this is simply b/c there is gonna be an ISRAEL OF GOD....As Gal 6 : 16 tells us.

......And this Israel of God is the very kingdom of GOD in humanity.....Remember Natural Israel became as the sands of the seas in multitude....But this Israel of God ( THE MULTIPLICATION OF Christ Seed ) is gonna be as the STARS OF HEAVEN...Thus there is gonna be a heavenly Abraham Issac and Jacob and a heavenly Israel which are spirits the H.G. as the stars of heaven....Thats what Isaiah 49 is trying to tell us....There is a heavenly Israel coming...Thus his name is truly Abraham Issac and Jacob.

......The very reason God wants to multiply Christ in humanity as the stars of heaven...Is that there might be an Israel of God.

...A perfect Israel that cannot sin and Praise him perfectly...Outta of the mouths of babes and suckling thou has perfected Praise....Which are Spirits the H.G. many that are gonna be born in us sinners.

......A lil one shall become a 1000 and a small one a strong Nation...I the Lord will hasten it in its time...This is that heavenly Israel a heavenly Nation...The H.G...Whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receiveth me.

Revelation 12: who is the woman

the woman is all flesh and blood.

jeremiah 30:6 ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with a child? wherefore i see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned to paleness.

galatians 4:19 my little children, of whom i travail in birth again, until christ be formed in you (the spirit of christ, the holy ghost, god).

1 timothy 2:14 .....but the woman (all flesh and blood) being deceived was in the transgression.

1 timothy 2:15 ....the woman shall be save in childbearing .....a man child (christ formed in you), that shall rule all nations.

revelation 12:1 ....a woman clothed with god, and the christ under her feet, and a crown of 12 stars (angels, ministering spirits) upon the woman's head.

ephesians 2:7 that in the ages to come .....

    god bless all.

Verses 1 through 15 are on a mysterious matter; which I will leave other commentators to evaluate. The focus on verse 14 is where I am drawing attention to. Jesus isn't quoted as saying who He was; but the man who was healed was warned to go and sin no more. This assumes once again that Jesus is part of the Godhead; and ties into the rest of the chapter where once again the Pharisees go about a familiar theme of scolding Christ for healing on the Sabbath Day. It is interesting to note that whoever this angel was it certainly didn't stop those seeking a healing or those who did the "work" of taking the first person into the water to be healed. The plan of the Godhead; as to needing to honor the Son to honor the Father (v. 23) with the future resurrection covered from v. 24-29. After discussion of John in v. 36 he tells the audience that they don't know Him in v. 38. They will not come to Him (v. 40); nor have the love of God in them (v. 42). Antichrist is alluded to in v. 43 as to future worship; and Moses is said to accuse them; in v. 45 to 47. This reminds us of the story of Lazarus and the rich man in hell.

The interrelated theme shows that it is all or nothing. If we don't love Christ; we don't love the Father; or those preaching righteousness; or even the lawgivers of the O.T. We can't love the law as Psalm 119 states or have any part in fellowship with the living God. Inexorably; the plan of God; interaction with each member of the Godhead and salvation of any soul is according to a predetermined method because of God's sovereignty. May we cry out and ask God to help us with our unbelief ( Mark 9:24)

The Antichrist is Satan himself in one of the rolls he plays. The Word says he will come in peacefully and prosperously to deceive the world

Does the Bible say anything about what takes place after our last breath of life on earth?
  • Giannis - In Reply - 1 year ago
In the Bible there are verses that reveal the human nature of Jesus like the ones you mentioned in your post. There are also verses that reveal Jesus' divine nature. They are both true because Jesus is both God and Man simultaneously. One being, two natures. There has been a lot of discussion about that recently, you can go through those going back the posts or using the option "discussions by topic > most active discussions within 48 hours'

Alex, you have shared on two items that I referred to: the Holy Ghost & Jesus' reference to working while it is still day. I can't deal with both of them here, but will ask just one question to the first matter.

Revelation 12:1 starts with a great spectacle that John saw; that of a woman clothed with the sun, etc., etc. Question: Who is this woman? Unless, she is identified, the rest of your comment on this chapter may or may not change. You've already stated that the "man child" is the Holy Ghost, which I dispute. So to establish an understanding of this account, who is the woman? Thank you.

Hiya Chris GBU....Let me just mention the Woman in Rev 12 that is in birth pains...Her Child which is the H.G. is that spirit of truth that is gonna reprove the whole world of sin and judgement Righteousness is the H.G. Emanuel....But her Child is the result of her KNOWING Jesus...A good seed was sown in this woman ( the world ) And thats how the manchild the H.G. that Child of promise will RULE ALL Nations the world....But her Child cannot speak for a season till he is of age...Thats y Jesus said when he the spirit of truth is come he will not speak of himself...As he is just an spritual infant...Remember what Jesus said....That which is BORN of the spirit is spirit...Thats the H.G. a living being the Child of PROMISE...Y is he the Promise ? Simply b/c he is the multiplication of very God via the seed of Christ as he is Spirit as God is spirit...A spirit has to be born in us, Which is our new innerman the H.G. Thats y he has to know us.

......OK Chris let me tell ya that you are mixed up a bit...We are not in the time of light we are in the time of darkness when no man can work...I should not have to tell you this....Just look at the SPIRITUAL CONDITION of this world and the Churches...Satan is now in the pulpits...Thats what the bible is trying to tell us the day of the lord will not come till there 1 st come a great falling away and that man of sin be revealed which is mans carnal mind that is in rank with Satan in the pulpits...

.....Jesus said I am the light of the world but the NIGHT comes when no man can work....Y cannot anybody work simply b/c the book has not been opened yet...Remember what God told DANIEL go thy way Daniel.. These words are sealed untill the time of the end....Nobody can sing that new song ( that New Covenant ) Till the book is opened that he wrote with his own Blood.

.....Yes the early Church had it going on but Micah 5 : 3 ..Said he was gona give them up till the Woman is in birth pains...Lover and friend has thou put far from me.

Thanks GiGi for the response. I agree with you and Chris in regard to Jesus not carrying the sin nature, but was tempted and could have sinned. The scripture Hebrews 4:15 "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" wouldn't have much relevance if He couldn't have sinned anyway. I appreciate the contrast between the old and new testament to relay the power available to the believer because he offered himself "without spot". Hebrews 9:13,14 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

    Exodus 12:48-49

"48! And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you."

    Alive With Christ

    Ephesians 2:1-10

    1. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin.

    2. Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

    3. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

    4. But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us.

    5. Even when we were dead in sins, (by grace ye are saved,)

    6. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

    7. That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

    8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

    9. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

    The Good Confession

    1 Timothy 6:11-16

    11. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.

    12. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

    13. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,

    14. That you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing.

    15. Which He will manifest in His own time, He who is blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

    16. Who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

No remember when Jesus fasted to be tempted by Satan and Satan took him up in the mountains. There was stones and Satan said if you are the Son of God turn these stones into bread. Then Jesus said man can't live by bread alone but every word that comes out the mouth of God.

Then Satan tempted Jesus again and said I will give you all the cities in the world if you will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said we worship God and him only do we worship.

Then Satan took Jesus on top of a building and Satan if thy jump off the top of this building the angels will come and catch thee and Jesus don't tempt the Lord thy God. So no just never sinned.

Hello Jim. Galatians 5:1-4 was written by the Apostle Paul about those who wanted to remain in the Grace of God yet expected that obedience to the Law justified them as well. Paul said that if trusting in the Law to save, then God's Grace is ineffective - the two cannot be mixed - they stand in opposition to each other.

Jennifer, I will pray for you tonight.

Dear Heavenly Father, I bring Jennifer before You tonight and ask that You will strengthen her with restful sleep and energy for tomorrow's work tasks and responsibilities. Keep the day from being too busy so that she is not overwhelmed or stressed from having so much to do but not enough time or help to accomplish the job she is wanting to do so well. We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.

Dear B. I will pray for you tonight

    Dear Heavenly Father,

Please come to B's aid in working in him/her forgiveness for those family and friends who have hurt and wronged B. Let B. see these people with compassion as You do, knowing that we, as sinful humans, are weak and brought low by our sinful nature. Teach B. to practice praying good things for these people whenever he/she thinks of them as well as making a conscious effort to love them with love that You supply. Heal the hurt and harm that has been done to B. and replace these with Your wonderful Presence and constant companionship. Father, we know that we cannot overcome these hard aspects of doing relationship on our own. We are relying on You to help us, grow us, teach us, change us, and create in us clean hearts and right spirits. Do this for B., those family and friends in his/her life and for me and my family members as well. We ask this of You Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.
