    Brother S Spencer:

    What does the overcomer, overcome:

Is it not unbelief, fearfulness, lying, hating his brothers, etc.

The same fire and brimstone that is the second death (after the second resurrection) is also the first death (after the first resurrection); that the overcomer goes through.

Revelation 9:18 By these three were the "THIRD PART" (the overcomers) of man killed (first death), by the fire, by the smoke, and by brimstone, which issued of of their mouth.

Issued out of THEIR MOUTH ....the WORD OF GOD .....the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone.

    The THIRD PART:

Ezekiel 5:2 Thou shall burn with fire a THIRD PART .....

Ezekiel 5:3 Thou shalt also take thereof A FEW in number ....

Ezekiel 5:4 And take of THEM (the FEW) again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire, for THEREOF shall A FIRE come forth unto the house of Israel.

Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, TWO THIRDS shall be cut off and DIE, but the THIRD PART shall be left therein ( Luke 17:34-35).

Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the THIRD PART through the fire.

Obadiah 1:18 ...and the house of Jacob SHALL BE A FIRE, and the house of Joseph A FLAME, and the house of Esau stubble, and THEY shall kindle IN THEM, and DEVOUR THEM ......

IN THEM: You don't go to heaven.

Obadiah 1:21 And saviours (those who are the image of Christ) shall come upon mount Zion TO JUDGE the mount of ESAU; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.

    God Bless YOU.

That is a very good verse to show that Jesus confirmed the veracity of all of the O.T.

    Brother S Spencer:

No one is going to change someones opinion, that's the Holy Ghost's job, we are just to preach truth.

Truth does not contradict God's words.

    You don't go to heaven.

You (sinful flesh) DIED on the Cross, you, the (glorified) BODY of Christ, was raised back by the resurrection of Christ.

The Spirit (in a glorified body) goes back to God that gave it.

Christ, the glorified Body, (LIFE and TRUTH) is in man ( Colossians 1:27).

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (Christ in you) that worketh both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

Those chosen in this age, WILL BE ONE with Christ: IN MAN bringing man to GOD ( John 1:51).

Ezekiel 14:9 And if the prophet (of man) be deceived when he has spoken such a thing, I the Lord HAVE DECEIVED that prophet .....

1 Thessalonians 2:11 For this cause GOD SHALL SEND them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

The whole world is DECEIVED, only the Holy Ghost can reveal truth.

1 Thessalonians 2:12 That they ALL (everyone of us) might be damned (JUDGED, now or later, by God's words) who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS (in the ages to come) SHALL BE subdued to him, the shall the Son also himself be subject to him who put all things under him, that God may be ALL in ALL.

We either come to truth now; and become ONE with the WORD, in this age, or latter, in the ages to come. God's CHOICE.

Psalms 22:27 And all the ends of the world SHALL REMEMBER (when they are resurrected back into bodies of flesh and judged by God's words) and turn unto the Lord: for all kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

ALL God's WORDS will be fulfilled ( Isaiah 55:11).

    God Bless You.

A tad aggressive perhaps ? Why do any of us ( including u and I ) come on here ? If not to state our beliefs and discuss with others ? Why do u get so wound up when some one says something that u don't believe ? I don't c why there should b one rule for u and one rule for everyone else . Maybe u just want a site where everyone agrees with u and validates your beliefs all the time . It's not a personal attack on u when someone doesn't believe the same things as u do . I'm outta here .

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Acts 8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus can forgive sin, or he can say take up thy bed and walk, or I will be thou clean, or he can say today today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

......Behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world....The Blood of the lamb...God so loved the world that gave his only begotten son...etc

Feeling the breeze that flowed across my body in the heat of the day,I suddenly remembered the words of Christ.

How He moves, and has a reason for everything He does, as He leads His flock across the land of heaven and earth!

It is as exactly as you say , that our minds are finite, not much different than the sheep that bunch up, running and looking for their shepherd. Remembering His words, when He says that He does the will of His Father, He will die for His sheep! Anyone else is a thief or robber!

These words evidence at the cross, where this Holy One died for the sins of the WORLD!

Staying in the word, reading the word, is the creation that will grow in the heart and mind of those who love Him! His creation found in Him ,The Spirit no longer a mystery, much more than the cooling touch of His hand. It now has become who you will be , FOUND IN HIM!

Living in the words opens the door of His voice. There are so many voices! Which one is true for you! Which one are you listening too!

    Repent and be Baptized

My opinion dear Kaleene is that is something that the elders or a pastor or a minister is allowed to do. A common member of a church can pray for healing ( James 5:16), but is not allowed to lay hands on or annoint with oil. ( James 5:14-15). There is an order in the church, everybody has to take his/her own place.

Amanda God had a Divine purpose in mind for all the world when he made that great Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven.... Gen 22:17 kjv ...Thats y the sower of the good seed wants to sow his precious seed in our hearts that we might birth a Baby Christ in our hearts (multiplication) ....Which is the ManChild the H.G. that is gonna rule all nations....God was so Passionate about this great Promise that he swore by his very self....God wants to live in humanity and be marrried to humanity via this Manchild the H.G. The gift of God which is the Kingdom in us....Thats y God wanted a new Covenant which wd be all inclusive....But this New Covenant had to be dedicated with the blood of JESUS...If i be lifted up i will draw all men unto me...God needed a lamb to dedicate this New Covenant...God saw that there was no man thus HIS OWN ARM BROUGHT HIM THE VICTORY...Jesus

......Whats the meaning of all this.... That God wd receive perfect Praise as Jesus said God is spirit and them that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth....HE SEEKETH SUCH TO WORHIP HIM....And its no wonder as he wants to be married to humanity.....And as Isaiah said he saw all the world at rest and full of his GLORY...12:41 KJV

......Jesus said outta of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has Perfected PRAISE.....Isaiah said a lil Child is gona lead them....The babes and sucklings are his offspring...Isaiah said he wd see his seed and be satisfied

......And thats y he must be Multiplied as the stars of Heaven....That every man might get a measure of Faith a GOOD seed to birth a Baby Christ the H.G....The Children of Promise....Unless ya receive the Kingdom of God as a lil Child you will in no wise enter there in....

    Hello Jesse.

You can look that word up on the internet, you will find out that AETOS means eagle in grek, this is without any objection. But there may be a case...

The greek for vulture is GYPAS. I found out that there is a kind of vulture that is called in greek GYPAETOS (GYPAS+AETOS). That kind of vulture looks very similar to eagles but it it actually a vulture. It is a common bird in Greece, but I don't know how common it is in Israel. Maybe Luke meant that bird? But again Luke was greek and he should have known that those birds are of a different kind.

Also, there is a different interpretation of Luke 17:37. "where the body is (Chist), the eagles (saints) will gather together. Since that scripture talks about the rapture. it makes sence as the saints will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air.

    So the conclusion is yours...

By your precious faith, receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus introduces Nicodemas to what the Holy Spirit is like, in John 3. Like the wind but living on the throne of your heart. You will experience His presence.

I asked for everything Jesus had_and I got it. I was kind of a modern hermit. When Jesus gave me the Holy Spirit, it was like someone had turned on, all of the lights. He called me to evangelize, and taught me every day what that meant. My life changed from solitary confinement, to the most exciting life anyone could live! I've seen many people believe, right there on a sidewalk. I took them to church with me that week! Incredible. Jesus is ALIVE. He lives in His Church. People who say YES.

Don't think it to death or the moment will pass away. Satan doesn't want Jesus to win. Satans mission is to Steal your salvation, Kill your hope, and destroy your life; dreams, hopes. Give him the boot.

Ephesians 6. Satan and his evil helpers are all INVISIBLE.

Have some faith and hope for a better life with meaning, happiness indescribable. Keep coming back here. Ask anything. We love you with His love.

Hi Amanda, I don't believe God necessarily chooses to know what we're going to do. He's powerful enough that He can choose to be in our timeframe if He wants. God can also change His mind, based on human input, like on destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. We have free will to choose and its totally up to us, we're not robots. So, the purpose of life is in our choices- to follow God and obey, or to follow evil and satan. To love or hate. Life is one big test in my opinion. God isn't going to just let everyone into heaven to disrupt and cause chaos. Satan apparently had freewill in heaven to do that and defy God. Fortunately we have grace and can stumble and have many chances. Sadly, most people will reject Jesus and go to hell, but there's a chance we can help those who are lost to share the truth. Matthew 7:13

He loves you. He wants you to live in heaven with Him, forever. He already paid for your being able to accept His invitation.

He's not willing that any one person should die eternally. He's ready to save everybody right now.

In 2 Peter 3, you will see that which global mankind is fearful of, is going to happen on Earth. It is NOT global warming. Time is ticking down, and the earth is on "pre warm" much like an oven we preheat for our pizza.

It's happening now and global leaders are trying to force us to believe they have answers on how to stop it. They cannot! This warming is ordained by God. Recorded in the Bible.

    Excerpt from 2 Peter 3:9-13

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent HEAT, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED UP.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness?

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being ON FIRE shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent HEAT?

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for NEW heavens and a NEW earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."

Making Jesus your Savior and Lord is the only way to escape this. Trust Jesus today. We all did.

Could you survive 7 years of Gods wrath: little food, no fresh water. Falling stars slamming into earth; asteroids and global wars with nukes.

    Janet,

When a person dies, their body lays in the grave, but their spirit immediately goes to be with the Lord. In fact, the word death means separation. So at the point of death, a persons spirit separates from their body and goes to be with the Lord.

"I have since heard this same situation told by Missionaries who went to remote tribal groups who had little to no contact with the outside world in Japan, the Middle East and South America. The tribe visited by missionaries in the Middle East region also related the story of the Magi who passed through their region after seeing the baby Jesus, and then leaving by a different route to avoid King Herod. I have since read of other groups who all have a similar understanding of the Gospel that result in salvation for those who believe. There are still other peoples who have knowledge of the constellations but the meaning is lost.

When God answers our prayers so clearly, are we to deny the method of conveying His Grace because it does not fit our knowledge or understanding? No, we are to accept what God has done and accept His Grace and Mercy shown to those who may have had no eternal hope otherwise. End Quote.

Brother Jesse. I appreciated your comments on this subject, as it would certainly rank high in the list of topics that aren't easily understood, at least observing the Work of God in hearts that have never heard of Jesus or the Gospel.

I heard of one account where an unreached tribe were exercised in spirit about their sin & manner of living but had neither Bible nor messenger to lead them into Truth. But they hung on, hoping that someone would come to help them. God did send someone. And the tribe welcomed him & received the Word joyfully.

I also share this following account of a missionary sharing at a Church. This was related by another believer.

Quote. I heard a missionary who had just returned from Africa, relating an amazing situation she had experienced. She had gone to visit a very remote village and told the gospel to them. They were very attentive and at the end of her talk they had tears in their eyes. They thanked her very much. They said, "We know the story and believe but did not know that His name was Jesus". How could such a remote tribe with virtually no contact with the outside world know the story of the gospel?

"That night they went outside and the tribal elder pointed to individual and groups of stars and told her the Gospel (as they understood it) in the stars that led to their salvation. This Gospel had been passed down to them possibly over thousands of years.

This is what encourages evangelism. People need to see our happiness and ability to endure crisis. They want to know why we have faith in Jesus.

The Bible is more than a book. It's Words give life to anyone who will begin to read it. When we stop reading it, our lives sort of unravel. Nothing else can soothe our souls and give us faith to believe in meeting the God who wrote this Bible.

It's best to begin our journey with our Savior, in the Gospels and on towards the books 1-2-3 John, in the back.

It's about the planting and cultivating of Jesus's Church. We're to do that too :) For some people they become missionaries; others may fund a missionaries work. Not all churches have 5000+ members.

As long as what we do is, "as unto Jesus Christ our Lord", anything we give towards the work (time, help, missions giving, commitment to pray prayers), the Gospel continues to bear fruit. Amen.

The Tribulation is the reason we pray and preach. It's not a movie. It's really going to happen.

  • 1 Corinthians 1:8 Meaning - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 1 - 1 year ago
This is one of Scripture's truly great promises about what it means to be in Christ. Paul has been giving thanks to God for all the amazing things He has done for the Christians in Corinth. Everything he has mentioned is true of all Christians.

Reading these words, it's important to notice that nothing Paul has written mentions anything the Corinthians themselves have done. God has done it all, in and for them, as a free gift because of their faith in Christ. The rest of Paul's letter will show that as individuals and as a church, these believers in Corinth struggle with major spiritual problems. They are indulging in attitudes and actions that are sinful. Still, Paul writes the words of this verse to them and to all who are in Christ. God will not stop giving the Corinthians His good gifts. He will not stop sustaining them, keeping them going, holding them together. They will remain guiltless or blameless in His eyes all the way to the return of Christ on the day of the Lord.

How is this possible? Why would God do this? God's grace to us is rightly called "amazing." For those who come to Him by faith, God receives Christ's death as payment for our sins and gives us credit for Christ's righteous, sinless life on earth ( Romans 5:6-11). That's why, instead of dreading the return of Christ, Christians can wait for it with eager hopefulness ( Galatians 5:5; Romans 8:19-25).
